I was in TN Gun Country and they had it for sale around $425. I looked at it and loved it's look and feel but, it had one major problem (to me anyways). You see the magazine release is at the bottom of the gun. Which is the 1st time I've ever seen that. But, who knows maybe I'd get use to it.

The other day I was at the Rural King gun counter looking when one of the employees, who was off, tells the guy at the counter about what he had done to his Shield. He was carrying it and pulls it out and puts it in the employees hand with the gun pointed right at me. I quickly backed away and gave the guy a dirty look. The employee saw me and quickly gave it back to him. I ended up leaving right then and there.

Next time you tell them that Ricardo Tubbs of Miami Vice was in all kinds of shoot outs with a snub nose and he did fine. Of course, he also had a sawed off shotgun as backup but, the point still stands. ;)

The other day TN Gun Country had a Colt Detective Special for $575.

This thread is for those of us that carry a wheelgun everyday for self defense. Since December '13 I edc a Ruger LCR .357 loaded with .38's with a HKS speedloader. I carry it in a Uncle Mikes iwb holster or I use that holster to pocket carry. The holster stays in when I draw. I've had and tired a few semi auto's and yet none have felt or shot like my LCR.

Just came back from TN Gun Country were they had a unfired 4 inch Colt Python. And they only wanted $3200 for it. Edit there this one.

Rural King is having a sale on the Judge Public Defender Polymer for $359.99. That's the cheapest I've seen it in forever. Now, I've kinda been interested in this gun for awhile and the price seems good but, it's a Taurus so...yeah. So, who's had experience with this gun? Thoughts? Thanks.

The question is have you ever brought a gun because of a TV show or movie? I have. Back in August '13 after I got my HCP I was carrying the Ruger SR22. I decided I needed something small and easier to carry and conceal with more firepower to boot So, I read a lot of gun reviews, I didn't know what I wanted but, it would be a pocket 9, never even thought about a revolver. Anyways, after months of picking and choosing I decided to get either the XDS or LC9. So, in November, a few weeks after TN Gun Country range had been opened, I went down to rent them but, of course, both had been rented out. While looking around and talking to some folks, an older gentleman pointed me to a revolver. I asked to see it, the revolver was the Ruger LCR. I had to admit I loved the look of it but, I didn't think a revolver would be good for carry. So I went home to do some research. Looking it up I realized it was the revolver Walter White carried in Breaking Bad. So, I went and rented it and put 50 rounds down range and fell in love. So, the day after Christmas '13 I traded in my SR 22 and got the LCR 357. I was going to get the .38 but, I got a good trade in deal that I said what the hell and got the 357. And I've been carrying it everyday since. I mean if a revolver is good enough for a meth making drug kingpin then it's good enough for me. :)

When officers arrived on the scene, they found that four children had been left unattended in a vehicle while their mother and stepfather were inside the business paying a bill. Investigators said that one of the children found a loaded semi-automatic pistol inside their mother’s purse. The child then tried to unload the gun when it accidentally discharged, striking the 7-year-old boy. The victim was flown to a Knoxville hospital for treatment. Police later confirmed that the boy had died. Police said the shooting remains under investigation, but appears to be accidental. It is unknown if the boy's mother and stepfather will face any charges. The Department of Children's Services is involved in the investigation.
