  2. I'll see what I can come up with.
  3. We may try to have a classifier at Manchester befor the Masters shoot. Just let me know and we'll try and work one in on a Saturday.
  4. Shooting and completing a Sanctioned IDPA match in the last twelve months (without a DQ or DNF) also counts as shooting a Classifier in the division in which the shooter competed.CCP you'll need a classification.
  5. I'm guessing a 30rd mag will do just fine, 52rds over 2 stages. 2 30 rounders will keep in the game! Most of Robert's stages require no sling, but he'll let us know how to play this weekend.
  6. Things needed for rifle match....... A rifle! Mags! & Ammo!

  12. Yes but a funny one, well done!
  13. So with all the speculation going on, here's just a few things I witnessed first hand at the Mississippi Show Down. Witch is what the first part of the email is about. 1st Stage 6 had a van that you stared on facing the gas door, T1 down range of start. T2 was across the hood, they placed a tape line on the front finder to show the shooter that you must be past this indicator to safety engage T2. There was a possible ricocheting bullets off the hood or windshield in to the other bay where 5 other stages were set up. Now the shooter in question made this very clear to the squad he was shooting in and all the other squads around that it was a fault line, no fault lines in IDPA!!! Was the rant, but it was only after he shot the stage poorly is when he had the problem. So he's now running in and out of the bay's continuing his rant all the while totally disrupting the other shooters at the match. 2nd The MD and AC are in the golf cart on the last bay of the day over looking things. I had some time to kill so I went over and started up a conversation with the two of them, about 30 seconds in to it the shooter in question walks up and buts in and says " FYI just want to let you'll know a shooter changed out a gun with out MD approval", and then turned and walked away. MD said who, shooter turned and smiled and kept walking. So no harm no foul just wanted to throw it in the match director face? Not sure what that's all about. 3rd The awards ceremony was just rapping up when "he" walks over to me and the people I'm setting with, only this time he's been drinking and by this time he's had a few to many. He congratulated one of the shooters for a job well done and then turns at me says, you know you're her bitch now right! So I said well if that's true then that's makes you mine and then he mumbled something under his breath and then said well next time I'll just pull my !!!! out and !!!! slap you in the face. So I said then pull it out and let's see what your working with there big boy, and he then backed away and disappeared in to the crowd. Not bring myself to his level I just let it go because he's not worth my time, and looking back I would have been in the same boat he's in now. Now that's what I seen and witnessed, I heard other stories of the same problem child but can't comment on them. The action this individual displayed were disappointing, the man knows better and should be held accountable. After all he also is a MD and if this was the way someone acted at one of his, I'm sure he would want the same punishment for them.
  14. I'm thinking it was much more than just man talk, the "woman" I've come in contact with at matches kinda expect the language with all the testosterone in the air. That's not to say it's ok, cause I let them fly out all over the place, it's a bad habit of mine but I do try and show some respect to others and tone it down.
  15. Truer words have never been spoken.
  16. Don't forget Ricky B he shot a good one too!
  17. IDPA addresses incidents at competitions The headquarters staff and leadership of the International Defensive Pistol Association was made aware of two incidents that took place at two separate IDPA sanctioned competitions a few weeks ago, both of which raise concerns. The first involves questionable behavior viewed by witnesses as a violation of the Code of Conduct. The second involves a reshoot and the accompanying appeals process. Regarding the first, IDPA implemented the Code of Conduct to insure appropriate sportsmanlike behavior at our competitions. This Code of Conduct is meant for the benefit of all members and violations of the Code are to be taken seriously. IDPA received complaints of belligerent and vulgar behavior by an individual during, and in relation to, a match, which cannot be tolerated, especially when such behavior takes place in front of junior shooters and women attending the match as guests. The Code of Conduct is in place to maintain an appropriate competitive environment for match staff, competitors and our guests. If the reports received are indeed accurate, this matter is of growing concern to IDPA Headquarters and the incident remains under review. The second incident involves the issuing of a reshoot and the official appeals process that preceded the awarding of that reshoot. Headquarters has reviewed the matter and interviewed many participants with direct and indirect involvement. While no member of the IDPA Headquarters Staff was in attendance to witness the event, and therefore in no position to overrule the final decision, it is clear from the numerous accounts received that there were several contributing factors that compounded to undermine competitor and staff confidence in the officiating process. Whether you agree or disagree with the final decision, it was the handling of the process that put both competitors and staff in a position that should have been avoided, and it exposed a clear weakness in the processing of an appeal that IDPA needs to address. Though the appeals process is fairly new to IDPA, it is not one foreign to experienced shooting sports competitors. However, the slow execution of the appeal review process and the subsequent disposition of the final judgment demonstrated a systemic weakness in our overall ability to judiciously carry out an appeal. To insure that at future matches the appeal process is handled from start to finish with the efficiency and fairness that both match staff and competitors expect and rely on, IDPA will address the proper handling of an appeal through education of our Area Coordinators and their Delegates so that they may properly support the staff and competitors at upcoming matches in their regions. While these two events are unrelated, having taken place at separate events in separate states, both, if left unaddressed, threaten to erode the confidence our members should have in their sport. IDPA will work to prevent these types of events from happening in the future and to maintain the integrity of our sport.
