  1. I am sure that the new home they went to are more than proud to have them for sure. Great work and beautiful cutlery for sure.................
  2. Well, I was not expecting anything and ended up getting a Salt and Pepper shaker set and new coffee cup. Daughter was at Bass Pro Shop and saw them and got them for me. Nw I have a bigger morning coffee cup which is bigger than the old one which means less trips to the pot each day!!!!
  3. That I am not sure about. You would have to ask the warden about that.
  4. Yea, they have camping areas
  5. I have heard of Coyotes taking small house dogs from peoples back yards in town around Nashville. If one tries to get my dog Darby It is going to be 1 time I will be shooting a fire arm inside the city here. I won't tolerate a Coyote trying to hurt or kill my dog.
  6. I see you live in Bellevue and have a lot of Rabbits whee you live.. I also have a bunch where I live also which is in town were Coyotes don't live. I actually feed them in winter here in my yards. I buy Rabbit pellets at Co-op and put them around my out buildings during the day and they come out at night and feed on them. I live in town and it's against the law to fire a gun here. I have had friends tell me to get a Pellet gun and pop them but I don't see much sport in that and I don't need food. If I needed food I would have plenty of it around my house. I have Squirrels that come to five feeders, I have doves that come and feed on food I put on the ground for them and I have rabbits that live in a fence row in back of my house and also under my out buildings. I use to enjoy rabbit hunting more to hear the beagles run than the actual shooting the rabbits.
  7. Die Hard seem to be the most popular so far..............
  8. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All...........
  9. You were luckier than I have been. At least they caught the punks that stole your guns. mine have been gone since 1986 and not one gun or person has shown up or been arrested. I lost a lot of guns when they took them but the only one I would care about getting back is my dead sons Winchester Pump shotgun. Not because it is a great gun but because it was my oldest sons 1st gun I bought him for Christmas in 1984.
  10. No, it's a small community that lays at to southern side of the Cheatham WMA. You will probably have to ask for directions from the locals down there at one of the country stores. You can probably ask the local game warden that lives on the reserve and he can tell you were they are.
  11. In a small community called Cotton Town that borders the WMA.
  12. Back many moons ago I use to do some bunny hunting on Cheatham WMA but don't know what it would be like these days since the Coyotes have about taken over the WMA's and killed off many of the rabbits but might be worth a trip down and hunt the Goatie Fields on the Reserve.
  13. I think "How I met your Mother" was the worst sitcom ever on Television..........JMHO
  14. I got a Rough Rider along with 2 other guns while making a gun deal back a few years ago and it ended up costing me about 50 bucks with both cylinders. I took it to the range just to check accuracy of it with 22lr and not the magnum cylinder. Was impressed with it at 15 yards. with out being familiar with it I managed to even impress myself at how accurate the gun was. Right now son in law has it cause he was having issues with critters killing his chickens at night in chicken house. He ended up killing 2 possums and a skunk which was lucky enough to kill outside the coop and my daughter heard a comotion one evening while son in law was still at work and she managed to shoot and kill a weasel that had killed a chicken and was eating on it when she shot it. It was outside the coop and in the chicken yard. She has also killed three chicken snakes with it in the summer time. Tommy offered to by it off of me and my daughter has just told me I can't have it back "SO" I guess that is that. I don't own one any more.............................
  15. I have also had both. The Pre-63 model 94 Winchester I still own almost anyway was given to me by my grandfather as my first deer rifle when we moved to the Ranch/Farm in 1967 from Illinois and it was one of the only guns they didn't get to steal when they burglarized our house back in 86 because I had loaned it to a friend and it was at his house. I killed about 30 deer with it over the years and passed it down to my son when he began hunting deer and he killed about 20 deer with it and now my youngest grandson Logan began his hunting career with it when he turned 11 last year. He has killed 4 deer with it so far. 3 last year and 1 this year. It has been a trouble free accurate gun since I got it in 67 and the 150 gr Silver tips rounds have always been the deer getters for it. They did steal a Marlin 30-30 /w/scope and it was also a great gun and I did kill several deer with it but didn't really have it long enough to give a fair assessment of it except to say it shot well and function flawlessly. Like a few others here have said, if I was looking for a 30/30 I would hunt down a pre 63 model 94 Winchester first and then begin looking for an older model Marlin 30-30 with or without a scope cause you will probably want to choose the optics you prefer................JMHO
  16. Well I guess after Christmas I'm gonna have to go shoot some 22lr's. I was in walmart the other day and they had a bulk box of Federals and I bought a box only to get home and realize I don't have room in any of my safes to put them. Needed a reason to go shoot anyway so got one now........
  17. Merry Christmas to all of the folks and their familes here on TGO and Hoping all a Happy and Prosperous New Year and above all things remember the reason for this season and Keep Christ in Christmas.
  18. Since Tv selection kind of sucked last night, I sat and watched the Polar Express all the way last night and didn't have one scene I enjoyed more than another but I actually enjoyed just watching the entire film.
  19. My feelings are hurt. Bersa didn't have any make the list................
  20. your not being anal Jeb, your just keeping good records. I got to talk to a guy that was filling the shelves with refilled Rhino bottles at Walmart one time and he said they check the dates on all returns and if they are expired they will test them and if they pass they will update them and fill them to put back on shelves for exchange.
  21. If they are still in shrink wrap I would take the back where I bought them and see if they will replace them. Don't know if they will or not but might be worth a try. I have that small 1lb bottles still in shrink wrap that I bought 10 years ago that are still full.
  22. I have not had an issue to date with any leaking down and I keep a record of how I rotate my stock. I also have by big tank in my living room in a corner covered up and directly above it is a Smoke and Toxic gas Detector I bought purposely because I knew I would be keeping the tank in my house. I also have a detector out in my storage building and to the best of my knowledge it has never gone off while I was in the building and I keep fresh batteries in both. It is easy to check to see if you have a leaker. I do it when I replace any I have used. Just make up a bottle of water with dish soap in it and put some around where the valve is screwed into the tank and also check to be sure your tank is closing all the way buy putting some soapy water in the line outlet. If no bubbles, no leaks.
  23. Back when I was buying all my 20lb tanks Academy Sports had the Rhino tanks on Sale for $11.49 full so I bought like 10 on 2 diferent trips so I have plenty of them stored out in my storage building. I will use 3 or 4 doing my grilling and then go exchange them. Before you invest in a big tank you might want to check with your local Amrigas or what ever propane company services homes in your area to be sure they do test and re-certify. I did stop in at the Amerigas Bulk station and office here and confirm what the driver said and he was correct because I have to drive passed it about every time I go to the lake to fish.
  24. I had a Lever action when I was 6 years old but didn't have the ring and strap and csot a little more for sure...........
  25. Yea, I didn't know about it either till I was over at a buddy's house and Ameriagas tanker was their filling up their big tank they heat with and I mentioned something to the driver and he was the one that told me to take it out their office and Tank field where they fill tanks for folks and they would test it and recertify it if it tests good and will re-date the tank. I bought my big tank from Amazon back about 15 years ago. They shipped it free and their price was best I could find when I was looking for a tank.
