Well everyone seems to have their own opinion on what the police officers should have done or not done during the shooting and I look back all the way to Columbine High School and I can say this with a clear mind. If I was a LEO and I arrived at the school and shooting was still going on I am going in. I'm wearing a modest amount of protective gear on my body and I do have the element of surprise on the shooter/shooters and if I save 1 or 100 lives I have done my job to the best of my ability. To stand outside and listen to the gun fire inside would just be unacceptable to me. I'm 70 years old and I would still go in...............JMHO

Oh yea, until I get between her and the storm door she is a vicious attack dog and I really believe she would bite them if I didn't call her down first and my friends don't open the door either as long as she is growling and showing them her mouth full of teeth. My buddy Butch still does not trust her till he is actually inside the house at petting her.

Thanks for the tip on the Fiocchi Ammo but I bought a case of it about a year before the panick buying started and got it at a very good price and I still have about 3 boxes left of it and I use it only for range ammo because about 1 or 2 rounds in my 15 round magazines fails to fire and I have to re run it through sometimes 2 or 3 times to get it to fire and some never fire so I won't be buyng any more of that brand of ammo.

Good luck with that!! Insurance companies never want to pay but they want that premimum payment paid to protect you. I have been shopping for a new insurance company. I'm tired of getting increases every time I get my bill yet I have not had any claims in over 20 years and any tickets in about that same length of time. When I ask them why it is going up and they said that it is because of the cost of these new rear camera bumpers costing so much when they get hit plus there has been so many claims for cars in the fires in California and the floods. I tell them I hvae not hit one of those damn bumpers and I have not had a vehicle in a flood or fire and they say it's increases across the board. I am going to hunt for a company without a board..........

I have been looking for a good buy on 380 ammo recently but it seems to be holding higher than the other popular calibers. I have shot some and would at least like to replace what I have shot which would fill my ammo safe back up.

Most of ya'll know I lost Kasey back in October and I decided I had to have another dog in my life cause i have had dogs in my life since about age 6 so not normal for me not to have one. I went searching all the dog rescue centers in the area and my vet was also searching for the right dog for me. Well, I found Darby and soon as I saw her she was the one and would be coming home with me. At the Rescue Center she was very laid back and almost timid till the lease and collar went on her and she became a new dog. When I opened up the back door of the Jeep she knew exactly where she was suppose to be and she didn't hesitate. She loves to ride but I don't take her into any store except Tractor Supply and thats because a lot of folks take their dogs in there. Once home she needed to go potty so she did and then we went in the house. It didn't take her but a few minutes to check the place out and she followed me every where I went in the house and still does to this day. She loves to go out and play and chase the wild life in the yard. Playing with a few toys she would fetch them and bring them back for me to throw the again. I learned something new about here after returning home from the hospital. She loves to play stick more than toys. Evidently who ever owned her previously had trained her to fetch with a stick cause I can throw a toy and a stick out in the yard and she will berng the stick back every time. So now we play stick when we go out. As far as her guard dog situation, she will back every one away from the storm door as she is vicious and trying her best to bite them but she is all show so far. Once I open the door does not matter would it is she is their best friend and totally glad to see them. That worked out great when I was in the hospital because I had about 4 buddys that were taking turns coming to the house and letting her out a couple times a day and playing fetch with her and feeding her and making sure she had plenty of water and she didn't have any issues with letting them in the house at all. Now that i am back home she has gone back to her being aggressive to them till I open the door and then she is friends with them again. She loves her nice big bed. It is a Memory Foam Twin bed Mattress with a big old quilt on it that she hides snacks in all the time.

Chemical Attack at Arlington, Virginia Joint Operations Base
bersaguy replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
It appears that the mainstream news networks can only focus on one story at a time these days. I do remember channel 5 talking about the base being attacked by a piece of mail and several Marines were hospitalized but it was not ran like it would have been back in 2001 after 9/11. Back then every News Network would have been all over it for days.............JMHO -

Minimum Age to purchase a handgun in TN

Well, unless it goes to 71 I'm safe and good to go!!!!! -
My Daughter decided a couple weeks ago that I needed a Smart phone so she bought my a SamSung 7. I have had it about 2 weeks and it has remained plugged up till yesterday. I unplugged it and it took me 10 minutes of reading the instructions to learn how to turn it on. It is all programed with Apps for about everything. I figure if I spend an hour a day learning how to make things work I will be dead before I learn half of it. I also found out right quick you need to watch where you touch or you go places you don't want to go at that time and you have to keep going backwards. Gives me something to do when I get bored...............JMHO

Companies ending partnerships with NRA

The real enemy here CZ is the Social Media and the Cable news. Mass killings like these are not new. The ability to make sure every person on earth knows about them at light speed!!! Then every one has an opinion and a comment about it, good bad or indifferent. Charles Whitman was a mass murderer and killed people from the Clock Tower in Austin. He began by killng his family and then just killing strangers 14 in all and wounding 31 until they finally killed him. I would be willing to bet 1/2 or more of the people in the country 3 days after it was over could not tell you who Charles Whitman even was. If that happened today Social Media and Cable news would have it for weeks and everyone would know who he was. The only reason you don't hear more about the Vegas massacure is because no one can find out anything about the shooter or a motive. All that is mentioned now is the Bump-Stocks. Take away Social media and cable news and about 90% of all of the sinsational reporting would be a blip on your computer or TV screen...........jmho -
I use to just carry a Bersa Thunder Single stack most places but it the lst year or so I have began putting 1 or 2 back up magazines in my pocket for that "Just in case situation" that might show up or I just carry the 85 double stack. I doubt I will ever be in a school or a Mall or being in a situation the would require more than 1 magazine but these days one never knows..............JMHO

You have come very close to hitting the nail directly on the head for sure. I have watched every commercial on TV pertaining to medications I think!!!! I think when business gets slow they come up with new ones like the one that amuses me is the one that tells you to put your poop in the box and give it to the UPS guy and he will take it to a lab in GOD knows where and they will test it to see if you have cancer. And you suppose to trust these people you have never met doing the test to tell you the truth!!!!!!! Or how about the one where 1 in 30 Baby Boomers have Hep C and we should all rush to our doctor to be tested cause if you have it we have a cure for it!!!! The one I like is Optivo, cure for Cancer instead of Chemo. about 1 minute of the Commercial is spent listing the side effects from the stuff and at the end of the list they add that this may not be all the side effects. They also tell you that even after taking the meds once you have completed the dosages required that Optivo might attack healthy Organs leading to death. Why would people request this kind of stuff????????

Pretty much like Opry Mills is the magnet for gangs in the East Nashville area. I don't know where the gangs go in Antioch since Hickory Hollow closed and not sure where the west side gangs are hanging out since the Bellevue Mall closed.

That is an officer doing what he is trained to do. Take charge of the situation and gain control of bad guy as fast as possible. By his action of aggression the officer caught the bad guy totally off guard and the bad guy gave the officer what he needed!!!! OPPORTUNITY and the officer took it. I say job well done.............JMHO

All cities and even some larger small towns have gangs so I would not put it beyond the realm of possibility a gang may have been checking response time of police. Not all gangs are just stupid thugs. There are some of the that have some pretty smart leaders. I remember back years ago the true leader of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club was a college graduate and had a Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Law and could have been a lawyer had he taken the Barr exam and passed it. Gangs are spreading like a Virus and so far there is no Vaccine for them. They have just about taken over the Antioch area from what I have hear from friends that use to live there and moved out because of them.

I think many police departments are shooting deer slugs in their shot guns so may have been a slug round. I read some where that using buck shot was opening the police departments up to lawsuits by people getting struck with buckshot that were not even in the line of fire. Could be wrong but I think I read it.
