  1. Ok, evidently the 357 was not very popular to the folks that used that range. I found 7 pieces of 357 brass period. Smae issue with 44 Mag brass. I think I found about 5 pieces of that. I'm guessing anyone shooting those were probably picking up their own brass after shooting. I was able to get maybe 60 -70 pieces of 10mm brass which kind of surprised me.
  2. Thank You Jeff. In my family we always called them casings or with shotguns the empty shells were called Hulls.
  3. I will count the box tonight and go from there I guess.
  4. Now if I knew what a case was I might have a shot at this but like I said y'all are dealing with a very dull knife in a drawer full of sharp ones. This is making my head hurt...............
  5. Looks like I will be counting 38 Brass tonight.............LOL
  6. I have no clue but if Jeff is a potential I will count them tonight so we will know for sure.
  7. Maybe this will help.........lol This is my first time dealing with brass so bear with me........lol. Box is 12x7x4.
  8. I'm no to good at guessing but maybe this will give you some kind of idea. The bags behind the shoebox have 100 in each one and then there is the shoe box so maybe you can get some kind of idea better than I can.
  9. Well the sorting is done and the 5 gallon bucket is empty. Now the counting and bagging begins. I'm sure it will be as boring as the sorting was but it at least gave me something to do which is about what the counting will do. If I don't get any one interested in the 38 Spl brass I'm not going to count it and bag it till someone speaks up wanting it. No sense in wasting the bags till it has a new home. I was not aware that the 38 Specials were so popular till I started sorting the brass.........................
  10. Ok , looking good. I have someone wanting everything except the 38 spl brass. In all honesty I am surprised just how much of it I am coming up with. I didn't think people shot 38 calibers that much any more but I guess I was wrong. Is there any 38 spl reloaders here?
  11. I been working on brass sorting pretty much last couple days and hopefully will have the 5 gallon pail completed and then I can begin counting and bagging them to get ready to send to new homes. I sure hope I can find folks that want some of all the calibers I have sorted out. I'm going to ask 1 question and hope I get replies back. I am going to have 45 Cal, 40 cal, 9MM Cal, 38 spl, 380 cal and some 10mm but not to sure about how much on the 10mm. If there is not a caliber any one is going to want I would like to know cause there is no sense in counting and bagging if no one is interested. Would like to get replies. Thanks
  12. Funeral homes depend on emotion to get families to spend more money and my whole family has all decided it will be cremetions. Many of my family have already prepaid theirs. I just finished paying for mine so family does not have to deal with it.
  13. Most all my family members have been cremated as I will be to save space in the Family Cemetery. We even have stack burials for cremeted members. My mother is buried on top of my father with a smaller double stone marker and there are a few others planning the same thing. I will be buried on top of Margie my wife when I go and the marble stone is already there and dtae will just be added.
  14. Yea I know. I was stationed in Alaska for a while and the skeeters up there ae big enough that one can land of each of your shoulders and then discuss whether to eat you there or take you with them. Back when I was just a boy up in Illinois age 6 it would snow in October and that snow would still be on the ground in March and all it did was add snow to it all Winter and skeeters was terrible up there too.......
  15. Thats going to be a tough decision to make. As for me I am eligable to be buried there but I will be buried in a Family Cemetery here in Tennessee with the rest of my family. Makes it easier on the family to be able to visit graves when they are pretty much close together.......JMHO
  16. Not yet anyway but I don't think we have had enough Winter to kill them off............JMHO
  17. The second gentleman said what needed being said and he was speaking for every law abiding gun owner across this country. He said it without a written speech or a rehearsed speech but from the heart and he was point on about the criminals not turning in their guns and the police not being able to go and collect the gang member guns. I liked what the first guy said about more than half the members on that counsel that preach against the 2nd Amendment but yet many of them have carry permits and go armed and when it was brought up at a previouse meeting about making it public record of all gun owners and who carries and all of a sudden when the counsel members learn that thir names will be on that list they voted against it. I love it when a civilian or civilian group can trap a bunch of elected officials when they try to pass somethng and exempt them from it and they get caught and have to do a bunch of back stepping to cover their exposed BUTTS!!!!.......JMHO
  18. Sorry your feeling under the weather and hope your back well soon. Mine expires 5 days after your does and normally the Gallatin DMV station is not to crowded Tues-Thurs. I will keep my papers in the console of the jeep and if I drive by there and they are not crowded I will just pop in and get mine done.
  19. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to weather. I get up in the morning, Look at thermomitor on the front porch and dress acordingly. If it's cloudy I might take an umbrella. Only Mother Nature knows what she has planned for us petty little humans.......
  20. It's hard to sell anything you don't have faith in so I know kind of what you mean. No cars made today are like the good ole days of good old American Muscle!!!! back then you bump a guys bumper in front of you cause you know him and he is a friend. Today you do that and it could end up costing you several thousand dollars because you damaged the back up warning sensors or the read camera. My insurance lady told me that it was those things driving my premiums up every year. I told her I don't have any of that junk on my 1997 Jeep and she said I know, it's for the bumper you might hit on another car belonging to somome one else. A guy has one of these fancy camera sensor drive your self pieces of junk and his warranty is out on the car and his camera quits working. Late that night the guy takes his car to an area with a few unattended dumpsters and he backs his car really hard into a dumpster and the next day he is at his insurance company telling his agent it got hit last night in the Walmart Parking lot in hit&Run. My rates go up to fix this clowns camera bumper.............
  21. Believe it or not Illinois use to be a pretty good place to live back in the 40 and 50's when I was growing up and going to school up there. Now Politics have destroyed it and I still have one stupid brother living in the state unless he is dead. Have not spoke to him since November 2006. I wonder how many people will be moving to another town and possibly another state???
  22. I got my notice in the mail today but did not get any options. I have to go to DMV, pay $50.00 and get a new picture made in order to get mine. Glad I have a DMV location about 4 miles from the house. It is where I went to get my original one. Mine expires 6/23/2018. They said the new one will be good for 8 years. They said I can renew anytime between now and the expire date and the receipt they give me will act as my permit till I get the new one. Will probably do it in May and get it over with.............
  23. I looked at that stack of papers that was beside Trump when he got ready to sign the new budget bill and there is no way in HELL anyone has read that entire thing and knows everything in it. Things like that is what puts doubt in me that any of them can really be trusted to work for us, "The Amercan People" If anyone had a question about the bill and it required an answer that had to be found in the Bill they better hope they have some speed readers around!!!!! I would bet 2/3rd of that bill is Pork / Pig Fat!!!
  24. Great read for sure. Makes total sense to me but then I am a Pro Gun person and own guns. In all of what the anti gun folks think, do they honestly believe that gun owners will just walk up and turn in their guns and ammo without a fight? I wonder how many have actually given thought to the fact that it may turn into a war and they honestly believe that the police can or will protect them from 1 million armed citizens even if only half actually decide to fight which I do believe it would be a higher number. In all honesty I have figured that there are many people out there preaching anti gun talk and probably half of them own guns. As for most of the higher up elected officials that are pushng the anti gun agenda I am guessing all have armed body guards with guns anytime they are out in public. They will preach anti gun policies and then hide behind armed body guards. Something just is not fair about that..............JMHO
