Dick's Getting Whacked, and Sales Sagging
bersaguy replied to QuackerSmacker's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
In all honesty I have never walked through the door of one of their stores. Just something about the name of them that turned me off and I didn't want to be seen going in a store with that name. Yea, I know it may just be me with my warped way of thinking but it is what it is..................... -
I do guess I may need to clairify that a tad. I am not physically running 70 MPH across a lake!!! I am riding in my Skeeter Bass Boat and going 70+ MPH across the lake holding my hat on my head....

My Daughter went to school to learn how to do hair and when she comes to cut mine it takes her longer to cut my ear hair and nose hair and hair on the back of my neck than m head. Also trimming my beard takes some time to shape it. She told me last time she cut my hair over all. She said I have a total of 8, yes 8 hairs on top of my head and they all appear to be about 8 inches long and we use to hope they would spread but we gave up on that idea about 10 years ago. We have decided that next time she cmes to cut my hair those 8 on top will be going also. It is a curse my fathers and mothers family both had and that was baldness and it is still holding strong. My Boys and their boys were all bald by age 21. I just look at it this way. Less hair to comb and more face to wash. I once entertained doing the shaved routine and shaving my head till my daughter told me that it is actually much harder keeping up with grooming a shaved head than it is a head full of hair plus would not have anything to hold my ball cap on my head when I am running across the lake at 70+ MPH........... P.S. I vote no to cutting Reds beard or hair..............

Ok so, I will be counting 380 tonight and finish counting the 40 Cal. I already have 1000 40 cal counted and about that many or more I still need to count and bag. Do we have any 40 Caliber reloaders here that might be interested in some 40 Caliber Brass?? If so speak up please!!!
-
Thanks Red, and yea I have some scales somewhere in this house and I had them a week ago but can't find them anyplace now but I already couted them and have 850 pieces of 45 Brass. I also have 2260 pieces of 9MM brass and just past the 1000 mark on the 40 cal and box is still more than half full so taking a break. I had those scales about 10 days ago and I know they are somewhere in this house because except for Darby no one else lives here and Darby swears up and down she has not touched them...............

Well in all honesty this brass was a to do some day project a buddy of mine started but he passed away last February and I would have hated to see someone just get it from his wife and scrap it for junk so I decided to get it and sort it in my spare time which came quicker than expected but the Heart Attack and by pass surgery has given me the time to do this so that is why I'm doing it. Don't want perfectly good brass going to scrap yard.................
-
I will be counting the 45 brass tonight to see how much of it I have and be getting back with you shortly Toby.

I have never had that issue with ammo or brass but I have had that issue many times with soft plastic fishing baits before a tournment. I will buy or make a couple 100 of a baits when I have 200 already in the boat...............

WARNING Some Language can be offensive!!!!!! This is an interview with Howard Stern and anti-gun people and he kind of pins their ears back in the interview. http://www.2ndamendmenttv.com/page/32102.html

As far as the brass hull count on the 38 Spl it is 1150 . I sorted it out into bags of 200 and last bag with 150 so now we know how much was in the box.
-
Ok, evidently the 357 was not very popular to the folks that used that range. I found 7 pieces of 357 brass period. Smae issue with 44 Mag brass. I think I found about 5 pieces of that. I'm guessing anyone shooting those were probably picking up their own brass after shooting. I was able to get maybe 60 -70 pieces of 10mm brass which kind of surprised me.
-
Thank You Jeff. In my family we always called them casings or with shotguns the empty shells were called Hulls.
-
I will count the box tonight and go from there I guess.
-
Now if I knew what a case was I might have a shot at this but like I said y'all are dealing with a very dull knife in a drawer full of sharp ones. This is making my head hurt...............
-
Looks like I will be counting 38 Brass tonight.............LOL
-
I have no clue but if Jeff is a potential I will count them tonight so we will know for sure.
-
Maybe this will help.........lol This is my first time dealing with brass so bear with me........lol. Box is 12x7x4.
-
I'm no to good at guessing but maybe this will give you some kind of idea. The bags behind the shoebox have 100 in each one and then there is the shoe box so maybe you can get some kind of idea better than I can.

The 38 Special ?
-
Well the sorting is done and the 5 gallon bucket is empty. Now the counting and bagging begins. I'm sure it will be as boring as the sorting was but it at least gave me something to do which is about what the counting will do. If I don't get any one interested in the 38 Spl brass I'm not going to count it and bag it till someone speaks up wanting it. No sense in wasting the bags till it has a new home. I was not aware that the 38 Specials were so popular till I started sorting the brass.........................

Ok , looking good. I have someone wanting everything except the 38 spl brass. In all honesty I am surprised just how much of it I am coming up with. I didn't think people shot 38 calibers that much any more but I guess I was wrong. Is there any 38 spl reloaders here?
-
I been working on brass sorting pretty much last couple days and hopefully will have the 5 gallon pail completed and then I can begin counting and bagging them to get ready to send to new homes. I sure hope I can find folks that want some of all the calibers I have sorted out. I'm going to ask 1 question and hope I get replies back. I am going to have 45 Cal, 40 cal, 9MM Cal, 38 spl, 380 cal and some 10mm but not to sure about how much on the 10mm. If there is not a caliber any one is going to want I would like to know cause there is no sense in counting and bagging if no one is interested. Would like to get replies. Thanks

Arlington National Cemetery Asking for Public Opinion
bersaguy replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
Funeral homes depend on emotion to get families to spend more money and my whole family has all decided it will be cremetions. Many of my family have already prepaid theirs. I just finished paying for mine so family does not have to deal with it.
