  1. Well if he does accidently order any more baits from me and is going to come by and get them, maybe if he is alone we might be able engage in some type of dialog so I can get an idea as to why he is anti-gun but still carrys one. I'm guess his life has been threatened by some gun owner with brain smaller than a pea is why he might be packing. I do have his email address. I require it for everyone that orders baits. I might send him an email and see if he will reply back. He did not seem mad or upset when he left but more almost thankful if that makes any sense. I don't have a clue how to word the opening statement of the email if I do write him. Any ideas????
  2. Here is that crazy wood pecker I keep telling yall about that thinks it is a Hummingbird!!
  3. I would not say he disappointed because I had seen him on the news holding anti-gun signs in protests. It did kind of surprise me to see him and a friend both packing when they are preaching Anti-Gun Reterec on TV. It also tells me I might need to be more careful about who I let in my house even though he has been here a couple times in the past to pick up baits but was alone.
  4. My son can't keep trail cams. Poachers keep taking them. The game wardens did catch one bunch last year but he and my grandson have another bunch that just stole 3 cameras that were less than 2 weeks old. They are now working on figuring out how he to hide trail cams to protect their trail cams.
  5. I guess your probably right greg. I bet he does not order any more baits from me. I have learned if there is anything a Lib hates more than a 2A person is a 2A person catching them in a clear bare faced lie....JMHO
  6. I had one of my bait customers stop by today to pick up a bait order he had placed last week. I have known him about 10 years. I don't consider him a friend but more of an aquaintance and a bait customer. He had a few friends with him and as I was getting his order packed up I was looking at him and his friends and he and one other was printing big time. I handed him his bait package and said hey Chris, just wanted to let you know you and your friend are printing and not very well concealed. They didn't know what to say. Chris has told me to my face in the past that he is totally anti-gun and I have seen him on the news a couple times toting signs saying so in protests in Nashville. Chris turned a pail faced and his friend tried to pull is shirt down more. He paid me and thanked me for the baits and they left. I would not have said a word had it been a friend that I know is pro 2A cause he would know I am Pro 2A and I started not to say anything to Chris but I wanted him to know that he is a liar in a nice way. He talks the anti talk but does not walk the anti walk. I often wonder how many folks like him are out there???? He already knew my view on 2A and his friends knew soon as they walked in and I had a Bersa on my right hip in open carry. I put it on when he called to tell me he was coming to get the baits.
  7. Growing up in the North as a child I had just about every race, creed and religion including Islam around me everyday in school. We all studied together and at recess we all went out and played together. Marbles. dodgeball, tag, baseball, just what every a kid wanted to play there was a game out there on the playground. If I knew back then what I know today I would have looked around and I would have seen all kids from all races playing the same games and no one being left out because of race, creed, religion or any other reason. Now with that said, segregation was not practiced in schools up there when I was growing up so I was dumb to it when I moved south at age 17 in 1966. It was not really taught down here either I don't think. I believe it was just practiced but never taught, at least to me. As I grew older I began to realize that it was an option as to how you practiced it or if you did at all. My grandfather never practiced it cause one of his best friends that live down the road on a small farm was an African American and there was many times we broke bread at the same dinner table with the man and his family. I never did because I always thought in the back of my mind it was a stupid thing for people to do. I did loose some friends I had made in high school but I just thought to myself they were never really friends anyway. I was never the sharpest knife in the drawer but I knew I was not going to be told who I could or should associate with and who not to back then and I am still living my life that way 53 years later. Back on election night when President Obama got elected the first time I had a few friends over to the house watching the polls. And I heard his speech and then I heard Michelle's famous line, "This is the first time in my life I am proud of my Country" and I turned to my friends and I said this country just moved backwards 50 years and they agreed. I didn't say that because we had elected an African American. I said it because that particular one was elected. He had a chip on his shoulder the size of the dome of the White House and thought he had something to prove and was going to show everyone who he was. I knew he was not a President for the People but a President for a select few people. I listened to the Pod cast last evening and I didn't hear what I could call bashing of the NRA. I heard things about it I was not aware of and I heard things that could improve it in the future but I heard a disussion more than a bashing of it.....JMHO on that. I said it on page 1 of this thread and I will say it one more time. I don't care what your race is, creed is, religion is, gay or straight, male or female. 8. Ok, I was just listening to channel news and they were talking about a teenager that was killed during a street race when his truck left the road and ended up in a creek beside the road. Soon as the wreck happened the spectators all scattered like roaches when the light comes on. Another young man was coming down the road and saw the truck in the creek and he and his buddy stopped to help if they could. They managed to get a tree limb off the young man but he still died at the hospital. Ok , this is where it gets weird. The THP cites the young man tampering with a crime scene when all he was doing was trying to save the other young mans life. Then the THP said they are still trying to find out who the spectators where that scattered and when they find them out they will be cited for participating in street racing, leaving the scene of the accident and (((( Get Ready for this))))) Failing to try and provide aid to the injured!!! They cited a young man that was not involved at all but was just driving down the road and he and a friend stopped to "PROVIDE AID" and THP tickets him!!!! What am I missing about this????
  9. Yea it is all those Federal judges Obama appointed in California that have been fighting Trumps blocking of immigrants coming in from the Middle East without first being vetted. You can be there won't be any California judges on Trumps list.............JMHO
  10. I do to every month I send them a check for $20. I know it's not much but I think if they get a lot of $20 donations it adds up. I know they want folks to get on that auto pay program but I don't trust anyone to have access to my accounts willingly. If they hack into it, that is out of my control.
  11. You can bet they did it for spite. BOA had $300.00 of my money tied up for 19 years since i opened the accounts. I had an account that any time I used my debit card they took the change and put it in that $300.00 so my checking account balance was always and even dollar amount. Any checks I got from folks I would deposit into that account till they cleared. I would let it build up to 4 or 500.00 and then go draw out all of what I put in down to that $300.00 and leave $10.00 extra so it was $310.00. If that account went even 1 penny below the $300.00 they would charge me a $30.00 for that month so I would have to transfere money back into to get it back to $300.00. In 19 years i never once had to pay their damn $30.00 fee. I'm waiting to see what kind of fees and games they try to hit me with when I walk in and close both accounts.
  12. You can't fix stupid and he is stupid!!!
  13. Well I took the plunge today and began setting up to move away from BOA(Bank of America) I got so many good reports about Wilson Bank & Trust that I am going with them. They were all very nice and made you feel like they were glad you were there. That home town bank feeling all banks use to have. There is a juggling act that needs to be done since I am on auto-deposit so I can't move any of my accounts till right after they make the deposit. Then I can pull everything from both of my accounts and close them after I go to Social Security Office and give them new bank accounts and request they use the new account beginning in August. That gives them a month to make the changes. I know a buddy of mine did the same thing but did it a week before his deposit and it took 2 months to get the mess corrected and get him his money. I will sure be glad to get a new bank.
  14. Do you think they are hoestly listening? I think not. The kids stopped lsitening to their parents at least 2 or is it 3 generations ago. With the exception of my home. When my kids were growing up they were taught to listen when I spoke and also given time just sitting waiting for it to sink in and then they could ask questions. I could tell by the questions that they were listening and didn't have me tuned out. They raised their children the same way. there was no pnones or games or ear phones of any type for them to be distracted by. I keep hearing the excuse from parents that all the time "They wanted it better for their children than they had it while growing up. These are parents that have children that all have college degrees and living in their parents basement. How much better does it get than that?????? Got all that education and get to still live at home and not have to pay for anything!!!! Not at my house!! I don't have a basement or an extra bedroom or even a couch in my house so all I can say is better find a job and a new life.............JMHO
  15. Well the poeple up there have 2 options! 1 is to move to another state or 2 vote the idiots out of office. They should realize that as long as they keep voting a Demorat into office they will be faced with these stupid decisions.......JMHO
  16. I have carried a Phoenix in my pocket off and on for last 10 years. It is a bit heavy so have to wear a belt most times but I have taken it to the range probably 50 times and shot about every ammo I might have at the time and it eats it like a kid eating candy every time. I seldom put the target beyond the 12 foot distance assuming that would probably be the maximum range I would be shooting it if I had to. Mine is dead on every time. I have probably disassembled it probably 4 times in 10+ years to clean and lube and I am always pleased with the guns performance. If I ever run up on anther one for sale at a fair price I will buy it.
  17. Well the CZ found a new home and so did a Bersa Thunder. I had been admiring the Bersa Thunder surfcityred had for sale and little did I know he was admiring the CZ 75D. We got to talking and even though neither of us were looking for a trade thats exactly what happened. We worked out all the details and met up to get it done. I came home with this sweety and he went home with the CZ. I think he was happy with the deal cause he was all grins and smiles as he walked to his vehicle.
  18. Not a CZ specialist. Just a damn good gunsmith for most guns made and he said he can help you out. Owner Sam Hoster Custom Defense 308 s. Water Street Gallatin, TN. phone 615-206-0075 Call ahead to get shop hours of operation
  19. I understand Ray. I bet if you bought a refrigator for $1,500.00 they would be hunting the person down like a dog and prosecuted them and you might have go your money back. But it was gun........JMHO
  20. I just re read your post and I missed the part where you said you bidded on the gun and won from a company in Las vegas. Have you tried getting in touch with the company that was holding the auction?
  21. Your about the 4th person to recomend them. May have to look into them.
  22. Evidently that bank does not appreciate having your sons business. Tell him to go to one of the bank officers and not a teller and tell him that if they don't allow him to deposit that check he will close all of his accounts and go to a new bank to do business. See if he gets any where. If not after he does get the check cashed I would go back to the bank and tell the same bank officer I would like to close all accounts. I won't let them bully me. I had an issue with BOA about 2 months ago as they try to bully me. I went to drive up with a savings withdrawal Slip to take $500.00 out of my savings account. She told me I would have to come inside. I parked and walked in side. Walked up to the teller and I was told that the maximum I could withdraw from my savings account was $300.00. I told her i didn't want $300.00 I want $500.00 like it said on the slip. She said she could not do it so I took a seat and waited for a bank officer to come and get me. Once O got in an office with one I told him what I wanted and he said it was a new rule of BOA that there was a maximum $300.00 amount that coud be with drawn from saving accounts. I said ok, then I want to close both of my accounts right now. His eyes got big and he said he didn't want to lose my business I said you are on the verge of it. He took my slip up to the counter and brought me back $500.00 in $100.00 bills as I requested. I thnaked him got up and walked out. I'm still looking for a locally owned bank to move my accounts to..............
  23. Sounds like the guy that got your money may have been the district attorneys brother in law..............JMHO Sorry for your loss Ray.
  24. Well I got my questions answered with out even asking it. I actually laid awake last night trying figure out why ethnicity was even mentioned in the discussions. I don't believe or cannot ever remember anyone here that has brought it up, not saying it has not been and I missed it. To me all members are equal and have just as much right to be here as the next person unless they prove they do not or cannot follow the site rules and then it is up to the owner or moderators to handle that situation. I honestly don't care if you are from another planet. If you enjoy shooting and you enjoy talking about Firearms or anything else pertaining to them all I can say is welcome to the site................JMHO
  25. I want to say I am sure glad to see all the folks here would have guns that belonged to grandfathers and fathers and they still have them. I still have the 30/30 Lever model 94 my grandfather gave me when I was 17 and just moved to the farm/ranch from Illinois with my parents. I didn't have a deer rifle because back then there was no deer season in Illinois so never needed one up there. The only reason I still have it was because I had loaned it to a close friend and it was at his house when they burglarized our home in 1988. We were staying at the hospital with my son that was in a coma and dying from a car accident so they knew we were not home. Small town so every one knew everyone elses business. We reported all the serial numbers of the 18 guns they got to Sheriffs office but not 1 has been located in 30 years. The only other gun I wish I could get back is my dead sons Winchester Pump 12 gauge I got him the previous year for Christmas. They could keep the rest of them for all I care but that one would be very special to me. Sorry for getting off subject.
