  1. I do to every month I send them a check for $20. I know it's not much but I think if they get a lot of $20 donations it adds up. I know they want folks to get on that auto pay program but I don't trust anyone to have access to my accounts willingly. If they hack into it, that is out of my control.
  2. You can bet they did it for spite. BOA had $300.00 of my money tied up for 19 years since i opened the accounts. I had an account that any time I used my debit card they took the change and put it in that $300.00 so my checking account balance was always and even dollar amount. Any checks I got from folks I would deposit into that account till they cleared. I would let it build up to 4 or 500.00 and then go draw out all of what I put in down to that $300.00 and leave $10.00 extra so it was $310.00. If that account went even 1 penny below the $300.00 they would charge me a $30.00 for that month so I would have to transfere money back into to get it back to $300.00. In 19 years i never once had to pay their damn $30.00 fee. I'm waiting to see what kind of fees and games they try to hit me with when I walk in and close both accounts.
  3. You can't fix stupid and he is stupid!!!
  4. Well I took the plunge today and began setting up to move away from BOA(Bank of America) I got so many good reports about Wilson Bank & Trust that I am going with them. They were all very nice and made you feel like they were glad you were there. That home town bank feeling all banks use to have. There is a juggling act that needs to be done since I am on auto-deposit so I can't move any of my accounts till right after they make the deposit. Then I can pull everything from both of my accounts and close them after I go to Social Security Office and give them new bank accounts and request they use the new account beginning in August. That gives them a month to make the changes. I know a buddy of mine did the same thing but did it a week before his deposit and it took 2 months to get the mess corrected and get him his money. I will sure be glad to get a new bank.
  5. Do you think they are hoestly listening? I think not. The kids stopped lsitening to their parents at least 2 or is it 3 generations ago. With the exception of my home. When my kids were growing up they were taught to listen when I spoke and also given time just sitting waiting for it to sink in and then they could ask questions. I could tell by the questions that they were listening and didn't have me tuned out. They raised their children the same way. there was no pnones or games or ear phones of any type for them to be distracted by. I keep hearing the excuse from parents that all the time "They wanted it better for their children than they had it while growing up. These are parents that have children that all have college degrees and living in their parents basement. How much better does it get than that?????? Got all that education and get to still live at home and not have to pay for anything!!!! Not at my house!! I don't have a basement or an extra bedroom or even a couch in my house so all I can say is better find a job and a new life.............JMHO
  6. Well the poeple up there have 2 options! 1 is to move to another state or 2 vote the idiots out of office. They should realize that as long as they keep voting a Demorat into office they will be faced with these stupid decisions.......JMHO
  7. I have carried a Phoenix in my pocket off and on for last 10 years. It is a bit heavy so have to wear a belt most times but I have taken it to the range probably 50 times and shot about every ammo I might have at the time and it eats it like a kid eating candy every time. I seldom put the target beyond the 12 foot distance assuming that would probably be the maximum range I would be shooting it if I had to. Mine is dead on every time. I have probably disassembled it probably 4 times in 10+ years to clean and lube and I am always pleased with the guns performance. If I ever run up on anther one for sale at a fair price I will buy it.
  8. Well the CZ found a new home and so did a Bersa Thunder. I had been admiring the Bersa Thunder surfcityred had for sale and little did I know he was admiring the CZ 75D. We got to talking and even though neither of us were looking for a trade thats exactly what happened. We worked out all the details and met up to get it done. I came home with this sweety and he went home with the CZ. I think he was happy with the deal cause he was all grins and smiles as he walked to his vehicle.
  9. Not a CZ specialist. Just a damn good gunsmith for most guns made and he said he can help you out. Owner Sam Hoster Custom Defense 308 s. Water Street Gallatin, TN. phone 615-206-0075 Call ahead to get shop hours of operation
  10. I understand Ray. I bet if you bought a refrigator for $1,500.00 they would be hunting the person down like a dog and prosecuted them and you might have go your money back. But it was gun........JMHO
  11. I just re read your post and I missed the part where you said you bidded on the gun and won from a company in Las vegas. Have you tried getting in touch with the company that was holding the auction?
  12. Your about the 4th person to recomend them. May have to look into them.
  13. Evidently that bank does not appreciate having your sons business. Tell him to go to one of the bank officers and not a teller and tell him that if they don't allow him to deposit that check he will close all of his accounts and go to a new bank to do business. See if he gets any where. If not after he does get the check cashed I would go back to the bank and tell the same bank officer I would like to close all accounts. I won't let them bully me. I had an issue with BOA about 2 months ago as they try to bully me. I went to drive up with a savings withdrawal Slip to take $500.00 out of my savings account. She told me I would have to come inside. I parked and walked in side. Walked up to the teller and I was told that the maximum I could withdraw from my savings account was $300.00. I told her i didn't want $300.00 I want $500.00 like it said on the slip. She said she could not do it so I took a seat and waited for a bank officer to come and get me. Once O got in an office with one I told him what I wanted and he said it was a new rule of BOA that there was a maximum $300.00 amount that coud be with drawn from saving accounts. I said ok, then I want to close both of my accounts right now. His eyes got big and he said he didn't want to lose my business I said you are on the verge of it. He took my slip up to the counter and brought me back $500.00 in $100.00 bills as I requested. I thnaked him got up and walked out. I'm still looking for a locally owned bank to move my accounts to..............
  14. Sounds like the guy that got your money may have been the district attorneys brother in law..............JMHO Sorry for your loss Ray.
  15. Well I got my questions answered with out even asking it. I actually laid awake last night trying figure out why ethnicity was even mentioned in the discussions. I don't believe or cannot ever remember anyone here that has brought it up, not saying it has not been and I missed it. To me all members are equal and have just as much right to be here as the next person unless they prove they do not or cannot follow the site rules and then it is up to the owner or moderators to handle that situation. I honestly don't care if you are from another planet. If you enjoy shooting and you enjoy talking about Firearms or anything else pertaining to them all I can say is welcome to the site................JMHO
  16. I want to say I am sure glad to see all the folks here would have guns that belonged to grandfathers and fathers and they still have them. I still have the 30/30 Lever model 94 my grandfather gave me when I was 17 and just moved to the farm/ranch from Illinois with my parents. I didn't have a deer rifle because back then there was no deer season in Illinois so never needed one up there. The only reason I still have it was because I had loaned it to a close friend and it was at his house when they burglarized our home in 1988. We were staying at the hospital with my son that was in a coma and dying from a car accident so they knew we were not home. Small town so every one knew everyone elses business. We reported all the serial numbers of the 18 guns they got to Sheriffs office but not 1 has been located in 30 years. The only other gun I wish I could get back is my dead sons Winchester Pump 12 gauge I got him the previous year for Christmas. They could keep the rest of them for all I care but that one would be very special to me. Sorry for getting off subject.
  17. Well I know I am not smart enough to go very deep into this topic so I will tread lightly. I think that the Millennials are entitled to the same opportunities the Boomers had. I think that would only be fair. Thing is what I see is they are not and probably will never settle for what we boomers had or have. They want much much more. Thing I see is they want it but don't want to work for it. Like I said I am not going to get any deeper than that because my high school education expired and went obselete about 35 to 40 yeats ago.
  18. Glad you got it back. In 1988 our home was burglarized and they got 10 Long guns and 8 hand guns and I have never got any of mine back and don't expect to after this long.
  19. I had 1 of those when I was 12 and it was a 12 gauge and got it for Christmas. Had to send it back and they replaced it cause the frame cracked on both sides in front of trigger guard. It was a metal alloy of some type but new one they send me was steel.
  20. I thought it might be cool to start a thread for everyone to test their memory by answering a question. Can you remember the first gun you ever owned? New, Used, Hand me down, family heirloom or what ever but it had to be your gun. No toy guns allowed. Mine was a J.C Higgings 4.10 single shot bolt action and I got it for Christmas. Parents got it at Sears-Roebuck.
  21. I have always thought the Single action 6 was one of the greatest guns of all times and I still feel that way roday. I don't have a high end single 6 but I do have a plinker Rough rider 22lr Single 6 that I still enjoy shooting. Not a great gun but mine is very accurate and a pleasure to shoot.
  22. Neighbors fighting beginning last night and still going today!!!!!....................
  23. That and I think the shots made by those Navy Seals at night firing from one moving ship to a much smaller moving vessel ending the lives of 3 of the pirates and saving Captain Roberts also slowed down some of the pirates causing them to think twice about what could happen to them if they just happen to pick the wrong ship to go after................JMHO
  24. Back years ago I use to hunt the Cheatham WMA and it offered some great areas to hunt. I bagged quite a few deer while hunting it. Last year after not being down there for 20+ years I took a drive through the Reserve. Where I use to hunt now have houses built of them. That tells me that many of the leases of the land that made up the Cheatham WMA ended and the new generations that inherited the land sold it rather than re lease it back to the state. That means the reserve had gotten a lot smaller so don't know if it would be as good as it once was.
  25. There is no state own part of any ocean so once you are on a boat and away from any dock or launch site you are in neutral ocean waters. Once you reach the 12 mile boundary and go beyond that distance you are in International Waters which are somewhat controlled by the UN for what that is worth?? Inside the 12 mile boundary the United States Coast Guard is the law enforcement surrounding any and all coastal territories of the United States. The UN has given the United States Coast Guard the authority to enforce laws in International Waters in the event they are in persuit of any law breakers that took place in US controlled water and required the Coast Guard to chase their lawbreaker beyond the 12 mile boundary. Beyond the 12 mile boundaries your pretty much at the control of the boat captain and having the authority to enforce any rule of law on his water craft. If it were me I would check in with the boat owner/operator of the Charter prior to booking the charter to get what he authorizes and what he does not...........JMHO! You may want to check with other Charter Companies if they do not allow concealed carry and you want to carry...............JMHO
