  1. I guess he could not find a yellow Crotch Rocket huh?..........Nice bike
  2. I can remember age 45 really easy. It's yesterday I have a problem with!!!!.......................
  3. Well, I'm just not use to having a finicky dog. Every dog I have had pretty much ate dog food but I have never fed my dogs dry dog food. I was finally able to get to talk with Darby's original owners that raised her from a puppy and they said that once she got off dry puppy food they moved her up to small dog dry food containing Chicken and Rice Organic formula but they could not remember what brand it was but they bought it at Sams and it came in a brown bag and was expensive. Well, I took a stab in the dark and bought her a 5 lb bag of Blue Buffalo Small Dog dry food in the Chicken & Rice formula. Gave like 20+ some change for this bag of food. Got it home. Got close to meal time so I put a bowl of it down for her. She walked over and sniffed it and walked away. I figured I would try the she will eat it when she gets hungry program and she went 2 days without touching the food. I put her down a bowl of the chicken I had cooked for her and she ate like she was starved to death and like she was afraid someon was going to take it away from her before she could get it down. I won't do that to her ever again. When meal time comes food she likes will be in her bowl. Last week I invested in a new electric meat grinder since Krogers has decided they won't grind meat from the butchers Special Mrk down section any longer. I was good at catching pot roasts on slae and I was having them made into burger. Last time I was able to find 4 with great mark downs so I took them to the butcher and he said they don't do that any more. I bought them and brought them home and froze the and waited for my meat grinder to arrive. I thawed them out in the fridge, cut them in strips and ground them up into burger. I cooked up some and frozed the rest to cook later. I cooked her 5 Chicken breasts on the grill with margarine wrapped in foil along with my steak I bought on sale. When the chicken breast cooled down in the fridge I ran them through the blender also and it made a great chopped chicket nuggets and I gave her about 1 breast worth in her bowl for supper and she ate it up and licked the bowl clean. Made it again for her breakfast but added a small amount of cooked rice into it and she ate it all and licked the bowl clean. She has been eating rice in her chicken most mornings. Vet said not to much is good for her. Oh well, if nothing else she has made my life much more interesting recently and she seems happy with me and I am with her.
  4. Very glad to hear your pup is doing much better. I just took Darby to the vet on Tuesday for a checkup. Was having a little constipation issue but Vet found nothing wrong except her diet and I got a talking to by the vet about her weight.........LOL When I got her she was way under weight due to a hunger strike she was on after being put up for adoption by original owners. When I got her she weighed 23 lbs in January and weighed 34 last Tuesday. Vet ask me what I was feeding her and I gave her a list of foods and each time I said a food vet gave me one of those looks!! I know I need to keep her weight down where it is right now so working slowly on new diet. vet said i needed to add more veggies into her meats which is Chicken Breasts and Ground beef I cook for her. She totally refuses to eat dry dog food period and will eat wet Pedigree about every 3rd night for supper which is good. I'm looking at trying to find veggies I can add to her protein products. I tried pumpkin and that was a no. She would not eat her food so going to try sweet potatoe next.
  5. Well my buddy Cleve is a Crappie/Bass angler and I am/was a Catfish/Bass Angler but since my health has declined I bass fish a little at night with Tommy and kinda depend on Cleve for any eating fish which is Crappie. Cleve lives on Old Hickory Lake and has a boat house on with a dock and he and his son in law put big brush piles and stake beds down all around the boat dock and they can walk down to the dock most any time of the year and get a limit of Crappie in 30 minutes.
  6. I think it was about 4 or 5 year back this same friend called me up and ask me if I had any room in my freezer and I said which one cause I have 3 and he said any of them and I said I always got a little room for emergencies and he said well I got one. Listen to this emergency!! He and his son in law were wanting to go Crappie fishing but neither one of them had any room in their freezers so they could not go if they could not make some room so I said bring what you want to and I will find a place for it. He always freezes about 15 or maybe 20 Filets in a quart ziplock bag of water. He showed up at my house with 42 bags of filets. I had to empty my box type chest freezer into both of my refrigerator freezers to get them in but I got all 42 bags in the chest freezer. In the mix was three 1 gallon bags of filets in water that they had planned of having a big family fish fry the previous summer but it didn't happen so I got those also. I ate Crappie and gave bags of Crappie away for almost a year and now every time his freezer gets close to full he shows up with bags of Filets. He called today and is bringing more by tomorrow. We took those 3 big bags to a buddys house and called all of our friends together for a good old fashion fish fry and Butch cooked the filets in his Turkey deep Fryer and every one brought something to make it a meal. One guy went to Captain D's and bought about 10 lbs of Hush Puppies and it took Captain D's about 3.5 hours to get them done and still keep being able to serve them to the customers also coming in to eat. My Kasey loved deep fried Crappie and that was her supper when I cooked Crappie. I have not tried Darby on any yet so don't know if she will like them or not.
  7. I guess it's all in the spelling Ronald................
  8. Is that just a statement or a hint....................
  9. I just had a friend stop by the house about an hour ago and he brought me a dozen tomatoes in different levels of ripeness including Green ones for frying so I could eat them as they got ripe, also brought me 8 nice size Cucumbers and to top it off har brought me 10 zip lock quart size bags of Crappie Filets He said each bag had 12-15 filets in them and they are frozen in water. Gonna be eaten good for a while anyhow..........LOL
  10. I agree but there is not a lot of them around. I use to like Churches Chicken as it was fried almost like homemade and had great biscuits but they are gone too.
  11. I have no clue what is going on with the Hummingbirds this year. This is the first year I have not had any permanent birds. They will come and feed a day or two and then nothing for a week or more and then 1 or 2 more and then nothing. Normally I have at least 10 to 15+ birds all year. I have changed out the feeder food every week to 10 days. Most folks I know that have a bunch of birds have not had any this year either. I have one old friend that lives on Old Hickory lake and he plants all the different flowers they love every year and puts up 10+ feeders cause he always has 50+ birds. I spoke to him yesterday and he said he has not had more then 10 birds all year that hung around any time at all. Natures telling us something and we need to begin trying to find out what it is. Let me ask folks something. Who had the red nectar in their feeders and who had sugar water? and who had birds stay around and who didn't. The Old Man on the lake said he split up and wet water in some and nectar in some but it didn't seem to matter cause he still didn't get the numbers of birds he normally gets.
  12. I know I sure liked them a lot more than Popeyes. I have tried to eat at Popeyes twice and unless you take a hammer to break the food up you can't eat it. When they say crunchy they are really underestimating it. I tried the chicken once and the Shrimp once and have not been back!!! I have noticed that KFC's chicken has really gone down hill also. That new crispy Colonel needs to teach his folks how to cook chicken and I think they lost the secret recipe to the original chicken. I went there twice and ordered a bucket of Original and when I go home and opened the bucket the stuff looked like it had spent 3 days in the warmer. I threw it out. I went back again about a week later and got the same junk in the bucket but this time I opened it before I left and I told them to just give me my money back and they could keep that junk. I have not been back there either!!!!!
  13. I sure do miss Mrs Winners Chicken! They had some biscuits and gravy that was out of this world and I ate it almost every morning till they went out of business.....
  14. I love that stuff and sure does make life a lot easier......JMHO
  15. Why would you put a tourniquet on a steak if you don't mind my asking??
  16. I don't drink wine but I can bake that cake from scratch......................
  17. I notice our Vaunted leader has not made a grand entrance to defend his decision of his steak choices...........
  18. My Neighbor has one of those things that he got when he bought the entire copperware set which cost about 300 Bucks but I don't think he has ever used it but then I have not ask him either. Normally when he tries a new piece of the stuff he is over at my house telling me if he likes it or not. He's like me, Bachlor that cooks for him and a beagle which is his best friend. His dog eats better than I do. Yesterday morning the dog had Sausage, eggs, Biscuits and white gravy for breakfast. All poor Darby had was left over New York Strip steak for breakfast.
  19. I have always ordered my steaks rare and when asked how rare I said when I put a knife in it I want it to Moooo!! There has been several times when I would be out with family and friends and order a steak a few people would ask for another table cause they knew my steak would be bloody depending on how aged the meat was. A well aged steak will not bleed when cut. I grilled a steak for supper last evening. On a very hot grill ready at 450 on gauge, steak hit the grill pad, cooked 3 minutes on each side and hit the plate. New York strip 1 inch thick. Darby liked it also. Believe it or not a 1 inch steak @450 degrees will reach 170 degrees in the center in just a tad over 2.5 minutes. I don't know if anyone had bought one of those Copper Chef Grill mats that Amazon sells but I bought 2 of them at Walgreens about a month ago and I dearly love them. Food cooks great on them and tastes great on them and they are dishwasher safe but I just run mine threw hot soapy dish water in sink.................
  20. Well I guess I'm kinda old fashion when it comes to going to concerts because I like remaining dressed in public since I have grown up anyway plus I am not really a concert goer persay. I have been to a bunch all at once, once and then after that I have been to 2. The bunch all at once was Woodstock 1969 and yea there was some clothe off events at that one but that was before I grew up and 9 days later I shipped out and had to grow up real quick. The next concert took place at Starwood Ampitheater in Nashville and Lynyrd Skynyrd and Marshall Tucker band we performing together and the entire crowd refused to leave until they performed Free Bird. They had not performed it all night and the crowd was not having no for an answer So both bands joined together and came out and went through the entire song 5 times and I think Bic Lighter Company sold a bunch of lighters that night. I know I burnt my fingers several times lighting and holding mine. The only other concert was at the Grand Old Opry House at Opryland and I went to see the Righteous Brothers perform. Gosh I guess I am kind of old..............
  21. I still enjoy shooting but like Esko said, going solo just doe not get it anymore. I lost my shooting artner 2 years back in February and he did up keep on the range we shot at so we shot for free. Shortly after he died they closed the range and sold out and the range is now private so now if I shoot I do it when I go out to daughters house. and shoot with Tommy, (SIL) Once I move out there I'm going to build myself a small range cause there is a great berm out behind my house about 40 yards and it's in the country. Going to see about getting some metal plates so I don't have to keep replacng the targets all the time. Something to look forward to after all the negative part of my having to move. Might even be able to invite some members over to shoot that live in the area.
  22. I have a friend that lives outside Hartsville that has about 130 acres and he is over run with Yotes. He tried to tolerate having them around till one got hold of one of his house dogs. Didn't kill it but cost him a big vet bill and shots for all his other 3 house dogs so now he has began shooting them. It is about 80 to 100 yards from his back porch to his wood line and he keeps the hay cut regularly and so far has killed 9 with bait. Game warden in his area told him he can kill them since they got close enough to the house to catch one of his small house pets. He was having trouble seeing them in the woodline so he took his tractor and bushhog and cut a circle up near the wood line about 25 yards around and began putting the bait. dead chickens he traded a farmer down the road from him some hay for. The farmer is also having a yote problem trying to get in his chicken coupes. He said they have torn up his chicken wire pens a couple times so he has had to go to a tuffer wire and put posts closer together. He has began trapping and shooting them also.

    Ruger LCP

It would find it a stretch at 15 yards without a ton of practice at that range. I don't think that the LCP was made with that kind of accuracy in mind. I would think 7 yards would be a much more realistic a range to practice at..............JMHO
  24. I just hope if this thing becomes a reality that our Government does not do something stupid with it like arm the Iraqi's so when they see an ISIS pickup truck of ISIS soldiers coming at them they don't throw them on the ground and run like hell like they did last time we gave them guns to fight with and they gave them to ISIS. If we are going give our ally forces arms to fight with old wore out M16's and a little bit of ammo should be all they get.................JMHO
  25. I was not familiar with all the new lighting systems out there these days but my grandson is an electrical contractor and I ask him to stop by about a year ago to do some lighting repairs in my bait pouring room because it was getting hard for me to see in there to pour baits. He came by and looked the situation over and also looked at my outdoor night lighting on the motion sensors. He went up to Lowes and came back with 8 out door bulbs and four 4 foot tubes for the bait room and a 4 foot fixture to and right above my pouring table. He put in what he called daylight bulbs out side and daylight tubes inside and I was amazed at how much light I have now. When anything triggers my out door lights it is light turning on a the sun in my yard and my bait room is also really lit well now. He said they are called daylight bulbs and they sure do the job well...........
