Fugitive in Montgomery County
bersaguy replied to Wheelgunner's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Shooting him as he is running away might be looked at in several different ways and you could wind up in trouble. Many times cases like that have gone bad because if he is going away they might look at the fact that the threat to you was over and you didn't need to shoot him in the back. Then they may look at the fact that he had already killed 2 and njured more and is wanted and had 100's of police officers hunting for him to catch him before he killed or hurt someone else and pin a medal on you and give you a big check. It is one of the Damned if you do and Damned if you don't issues..................JMHO -

If he would have shown up at my house I would have been $20,000.00 richer today and he might have been sorry he came to my door. If they do find out who may have helped him I hope they put them in a jail cell next to him.......JMHO -

I have heard and witnessed how hard it is to adopt a child here and will never understand why??? In the past I have known 3 or more couples personally that have applied to adopt a child and been denied. One for example was a young couple in mid 20's that we buying a home, both were working and made a great income and if they would have been approved they would still have been able to provide a great life for a child because husbands income was 6 figures and loss of wifes income would not have effected their lifestyle at all. So, there was no income issues, no housing issues, no health issues of either person, no family background of any type of abuse, and wife couldn't get pregnant so they chose to adopt. Hey got denied. They appealed 3 times and got denied all three times. After the third appeal they did not give up. They went out of country and adopted a set of twin boys ages 1.5 years old and the whole adoption program took less then a month so go figure????? I have no clue why they make it so hard to adopt I almost think it is deliberate to keep enough children in the foster care program to make sure people in DHS stay in business and folks keep their jobs.............JMHO

They do everyday. It's not news so you don't hear about it unless you know them. I have know 4 Vietnam Vets that have taken their own lives over past couple years. I'm thinking this guy wanted to die also but the police didn't make his wish come true. I do wish he had not taken a life in the process............JMHO

I heard an interview last night that the area he is in has a ton of caves from small to pretty big and it will take quite a while to search all of them. I don't think he has gotten out of that area as he would have tried to hijack another car or truck and kill someone else in the process like he did that gentleman in that Pick up truck. If I'm not mistaken there was another man hunt in that same area not to long ago and I think it lasted about 4 days before the guy finally surrendered to police in the field. For some reason I don't think this guy plans on going out that way. I heard on the news again that he had an arsenal of weapons which I find hard to believe since he is a man on foot running from the law. I figure maybe 2 guns at most. I do hope they catch him before he hurts someone else. I would also like to thank anyone that might be a member here or have family for your help in keeping the law enforcement people supplied with plenty of food and water and support. That goes to show just how much the law enforcement family is appreciated by the people regardless of how a few might view them. -
The clause that was put in the buyers property contract that bought a 20 acre tract is only allowed to sell it according to the agreement in which they purchased it. Believe me, when my parents got ready to sell they sought out one of the best attorneys around at the time and that was L.B.Parker and he just happened to own a spread a bit bigger then ours about 10 miles away in a community called Nosegay and when he was finished drawing up the paperwork he told my folks that there won't be a subdivision, Apartment, or mobile home ever on that property. I also found out yesterday that 4 of those unimproved tracts are own by people that live down there they bought for their children when they get ready to build.

That is one thing my mother and father were thinking about when it came time to sell the Farm/Ranch back years ago. Now taking into consideration we are talking over 2000 acres of land but only 1000 acres was fit for housing. The rest was all in flood stage due to Harpeth River ran through the ranch and all of the bottom land could only be use for agriculture either crops or pasture land. When they put it up for sale two men came out and discussed buying it all since it was made plain in the beginning that it would not be sold in pieces to the original buyer. It was either all or none. The 2 gentlemen were also told there would be resrictions that went with the purchase. They had to sign an agreement that the land would be sold in 20 acre tracts only. On each tract could be1single family dwelling and one barn and no mobile homes. The 2 gentlemen said they would need a week to consider it and would get back with them. 1 week later they came back to meet with my parents. They signed the paperwork agreeing to all the conditions put forth by my parents making it binding and a week later the property changed hands. 1 of the gentlemen was a lawyer and the other man his partner was a Tennessee State Senator at the time. When it went up for sale it went up with all of the restrictions listed. In less then 1 year all of the tracts were sold. Since our family cemetery is located on the property I visit it as often as I can because my oldest son is buried there and I drive all over the farm ever so often and everyone has obeyed the requirements that has built. There are still about 9 or 10 tracts that are still unimproved. My mother made it quite clear the farm would never be a subdivision or an apartment complex. I have 3 friends that I went to school that bought tracts and we visit when I go down. They love living on the place. I wish more families would consider doing the same thing when they get ready to sell an old Home Place and slow down all these subdivisions and apartments complexes from going up. It only took my parents a month to close a deal preventing that from happening................JMHO

So they made a wooden grill?? That's not gonna go wrong...

Maybe it was designed to be a disposable Grill!!! Use it once and throw whats left of it out............... -
My grandfather only had about 6 guns at the most and always complained about having a lot more than he will ever need. He gave me 2 of the 6 when we moved toTennessee back in 1967. Thank GOD I had them loaned out to friends when my house got burlarized in 1988 and they stole 17 guns and one has surfaced just recently and I should be getting it back after the trial has completed and the evidence can be returned to the original owners,

I heard one news broadcast that said the police have been given authority to shoot to kill on site so I would guess chances may be slim that the tax payers will be footing the bill for a trial unless they can sneak up on him while he is asleep........JMHO -
Gosh! I have not thought about the Moon Walk since MJ passed away but I do remember watching it on TV. Thought it was pretty cool back then and still do today but just don't remember it till someone brings it up again. Think of the cool stuff they did while up there. They could jump 1/2 the length of a football field and drive a golf ball unlimited miles with one swing. You believe waht you want and I will believe what I saw on TV cause back then pretty much what they said in the news was real fact. Not like today!!!!

You may very well be right Garufa. They may have drove it right to an abandon warehouse where they had buyers waiting for them and they will probably find the truck right where they left it!
