  1. Well that is where the issue comes in with me I guess. On the Boat trailer the seals on the hubs on the inside are designed to keep water out so squirting grease in a Hub Buddy the rear seal is not suppose to let water in so it should not let grease out so I could not tell the inner bearings where not getting grease from hub buddy. I guess it developed an air lock and didn't let the grease get to the inners. Anyway, learned a lesson and went back to doing it the old fashion way and that way I knew it was done right.
  2. Everyone can have opinions and I have mine about Hub Buddies. I use to pack my boat trailer beariings every year in the Spring. Taking my time and done in an hour and replacing the grease seals with a new ones. I will say this about Hub Buddy's/ Bearing Buddies. I had to have my boat and trailer hauled to my house twice on a flat bed wrecker because the Bearing buddies were greasing the outer bearings but not the inner bearings and I had two bearings seize to the spindle and lock up. Nothing better than getting your hands covered in grease and knowing it's done right.
  3. I don't believe as they do completely but no one deserves to be shot because of their beliefs or their faith period. I know they are of Christian faith so I will still send a prayer to GOD for those effected by this tragety. Also for the police officers wounded in this act of insanity.
  4. Hornaday Critical Defense in all magazines for all self defense weapons.
  5. Did any one hear any of the police officers radio for an ambulance. I didn't hear one! As far as what he did to himself, that should eliminate any more children if he has any now..........JMHO
  6. Adolescents can find take or make time to make a baby but cannot find time to be parents, mother and father, mom and dad or what ever else they might be called. Making them is the fun part. Raising them is the hard part. Raising them properly or correctly is evidently the impossible part. Being a parent to most is buying food and providing a roof and getting them a cell phone loaded with everything is all being a parent requires. I'm guessing that is because that is pretty much how they were raised so they think thats all that is needed. Dedicating time to them and actually carrying on a conversation with them these days is almost non existant in many homes. Way to many homes are single parent homes and most of them have 2 to 3 kids in them. Between lack of parenting and the internet I'm surprised more children are not acting out , many just wanting attention.............
  7. I have 1 I use in my house at times to knock the chill off without turning house unit on. It is on a 20 lb gas bottle and I also have 5 smoke and toxic Gas detectors scattered through out my house and it has never set off any of the toxic gas detectors when I use it so I would guess they don't put any fumes in the air. Someone may have better information that does use them for hunting.
  8. First issue with that plan is the Fderal Government will not allow Garnishment of either disability or Social Security checks what so ever. If you put a garnishment they either won't work or soon as the garnishment hits their check which takes about 3 weeks they will just quit the job and go get another. It's not like jobs are hard to find if any one wants one. What will fix the issue is to make the payments affordable rill the debt is paid instead of taking 1/2 of their check each week make it a 25.00 or 30 dollar a week payment and you will find they will keep a job and pay the debt so they can get their license back. Then make sure they get insurance before they begin driving and if they don't take them away again. I know this will work because I have 1 rogue Grandson that I wished would grow up and begin to accept his responsiblity for things he does and he played that game for over a year of job jumping. When a judge asked him how much he could afford to pay the court he told them and they accepted it and he paid his debt. It took 19 months but it got paid and he got insurance and was driving again right up until the Dead beat Dad law got him. Again the judge asked him how much he could pay towards his back child support and also pay his child support and keep his insurance paid and he told them and he and the judge came to an agreement but the judge made it clear about 1 thing. If he let this deal lasp he was going directly to jail. Well he cleaned up his act and got off drugs and could pass drug tests and even randon drug tests. His older brother owns and Electrical Contracting business and he pput him to work and taught him how to be an electrcian. After a year of proving he could stay clean, work every day and not was learning a trade his older brother stepped up to help him again. But this time Justin, the older brother that owned to company went to the judge and told the jidge that the mother of the child was a drug addict and he ask the judge to have her investigated. Sure enough she was on Meth and Heroine. He asked that the child be put in the care of the baby's grandparents as he had already ask them and my son and DIL agreed to it. The judge sent Child Services to the home un announced and took the child into their care until everything could be arranged and now my Son and DIL have the little girl, Coty the girls father is still working every day nad finally got his life in line and the mother of the girl can visit the baby girl at my sons home only 1 hour a week on Sunday and is going to drug rehab. All of this took over a 3 year period to get it done but it shows it can happen if a judge is willing to work with people. Sorry for the long post!!
  9. Your 1000% right Raoul!!! When I moved here were I live 20 years ago between Gallatin and Hendersonville about 15 miles when you left the city limits in either town on either side of the 31E all you saw was beautiful farm land and cows grazing and big beautiful farm houses. Now that same trip you see Apartments, Housing developemt with 5000 sq ft houses with yards so small you could cut them with a weed eater selling around $650,000.00. I was thrilled when the state stepped in and shut down one developer on one of the beautiful Farms. It was at 1 time a dairy farm and the farmer had kept the Greystone Dairy Barn up and needing little to no restoration and the building is over 130 years old and it sets right in the middle of a field of flat level land of about 100 acres that was pastures during the dairy farming period. A developer was 95% done with closing on the farm with the grandchildren of the owner that had passed away. The state told the developer he could not build on any of the land that the barn is located on and it is going in some historic organization for protection. Because of the lay out of the farm there was no way the developer could build on the property and be able to have roads and water and sewer lines to the houses so he pulled out and from what I have heard the The Tennessee Historic Society has made an offer to buy the all property. I have not heard any more about it since they made the offer. New signs have gone up stating that it is a historic site.
  10. My heart doctor had the hospital send me home with a cane because he knows about all of my other issues and one of the things they want you to do after open heart surgery is to talk and because many times the places I am walking are not flat but more like my yard he insists I use a cane to keep from falling. Little did he know but my SIL had a custom cane made for me back 3 years ago as it helped my hips when I would walk to the mail box. Without it I would be in intense pain by the time I got back to the house but with the cane I have almost little to no pain. Normally when I go grocery shopping I park near one of the cart traps for putting shopping carts in and I grab 1 out of there and push it inside and use it to shop. It eliminates all my hip pain by doing that. I'm always looking for new ways to do things that help with daily chores so I don't have to depend on pain meds unless I have zero options and then just stopping what I am doing and sit down and rest. I had to give up one of the loves of my life back in 2011 and that was bass fishing. It got to be to much on my body so SON IN LAW has my Skeeter Bass boat now and ever so often he will get a short day at work and call me and we go and bass fish on Percy Priest lake cause I can sit on the back seat and fish and he runs the trolling motor and does all the fetching for me when I need something. I have not been in over a year cause of his work but thats fine. He takes good care of my daughter and grand children and thats more important than fishing. I really don't have any issues with my life at present. I see many folks a lot worse off than I am and it is what keeps me going..................
  11. Well according to my doctor I have some form of arthritus in every joint in my body which all relates back to that truck back in 1978. The only time I am not in some kind of pain is when I am not moving. Or maybe when I am sleeping as long as I don't try to move or roll over and then it might wake me up. I have learned to live with it until it's gets unbearable due mostly to weather. Damp days are worse and then I take something for it. I can tell it's raining just by standing up in the morning while getting out of bed. Just grit my teeth and head for the coffee pot letting Darby out on the trip.
  12. Is it beginning to get crowded in east Tennessee?.......................
  13. I was talking with my grandson about getting me a deer for the freezer and he said he would. He said they finally have stopped the poachers from coming on the property. They decided after being arrested 3 different times that is was getting to expensive to keep poaching on my sons land so will have a chance to get some deer this year as they are seeing some on the cameras. They have 4 ffod plots planted and I asked him about rubs and he said he has not see many rubs yet but he also said he has one deer rubbing cedar trees in 3 different locations and he is rubbing trunks of 3 and 4 inch Cedars and has them cleaned. He is hoping to see him on one of the cameras as he move two of them in the area of the rubs. He said it has got to be a huge deer as he is rubbing up at least 4 feet up the trees. I ask him to send me any videos he may get of the deer on his cameras and he said he would.
  14. I use to be able to get a set of cuffs from behind my back and unlock them with a safety pin I kept pinned to the inside of my pants pocket. Then I would toss the pin and when the officer came back to his car I would give him his cuffs. It was a standing joke in my small hometown. That all changed when the new hand cuffs came out with the locks on them. Could not get out of those. Now back to getting cuffs from behind me to in front of me. If I was to try and do that today they would have to put me back together after picking up all the pieces when I busted apart. No way in Hell I would ever attempt it today..........

A few had good sequels but normally the originals were the best. I grew up watching SHOCK THEATER on Satuday nights to movies like Frankinstein, Were of London, Dracula, The Mummy My bedroom was lined in Garlic and I had a silver pocket knife and a book of matches if I had to set the Mummy on fire and my only fear was Frankenstein cause he didn't have any weaknesses LOL.........JMHO

  22. The Carter years were really tough on a lot of people for sure. All except for 1 and his name was Billy and he was Jimmy Carters brother. He was also a business man that his brother Jimmy had little to no control over. He was a thorn in Jimmy Carters back side he could not get rid of. He once figured out a way with the help of a few people in Carters Cabinet to go to Libya where Billy borrowed a large some of money for a business venture as Muarmmar Gaddafi was looking to invest money in some American businesses. He loaned Billy like $285,000.00 to open up a brewery and begin making BIlly Beer. I never heard what happened to that ordeal but I know some Billy Beer did make it on to store shelves..........................
  23. Now that is one critter that definately needs a trim. I'm amazed it can even breath and walk...........JMHO
  24. Thanks. You stayed till your job was done when your trained for special things or you got killed or they told you to go home. 3 options! Last one was the one most GI's wanted to hear including us.
  25. Well, thats a tough reason to come home but with 18 months done he was due to come home or was very short anyway. Glad he made it home alive and was just jumpy for a while. When you get short is normally when most guys got the most careless cause they had going home on their minds.
