Well yea BUT!!!!! my wrist watch and my 5 wall clocks around the house and the coffee pot all need human assistance but you are correct about my smart phone and my computer. I didn't get my lap top this weekend. A young lady got in the way of his delivering it so it will be next weekend. No real hurry since I am 70 years old and got by without one this long............. As far as the clocks I know it has to e a cycological (SP) problem but I set all my clocks back before going to the bed room to catch the local new on the TV and then I turned off everything just as I do every night, said good night to Darby and laid my head on the pillow and I tossed and turned off and on all night long and didn't rest worth a damn. This happens with every clock change going in either direction.............

I got to see a B17 in flight and got to see it land and take off. They flew one into Nashville when they had the grand opening of that new big runway back years ago. It was a sight to see it for sure.

I don't know? He had already cut one officer in the dollar Store with a hunting style knife and escaped the scene to the apartment. They had him cornered in the apartment and he had already assaulted a police officer so that should indicate he was not willing to surrender easily.

I have the utmost respect for Lowes even though they may not be able to enforce it and they are not being forced by any courts to do this they have stepped up to the plate once again for our Military Veterans. I am disabled and have a license plate that states it on my Jeep but there is times that I opt out of taking a space in case a person in worse shape than I might need the space. I did get upset one day up at Krogers as I was looking for a parking space and I passed up a handicap space because not to far behind me was a little older lady with a plaque so I opted to let he have it and before she could get in it a guy coming up from the other way pulled into the space and had to back up twice to get straight in it. I had parked and he was just getting out of his vehicle and I watched him get his plaque out of his console and just pitch it up on the dash board and not even hang it on the mirror. I entioned to him that it does not count unless it is on your mirror and his reply was what ever and he walked away. I walked to the front of his vehicle to get a look at the Plaque and sure enough it was expired by 2 years. Well being the law abiding person I am I proceeded to dial the non emergency police phone number and requested if they could send a patrol car to the Kroger parking lot and just my luck there was one pulling in off hwy31 and he got the call and I waved him down. I explained exactly what happened and his attitude. The officer ask me to step back away into the lot a little and I did. He walked up and read the plaque information and went back and sat in his car and ran the tags and plaque information. He than sat and waited for the vehicle owner to arrive and a second squad car showed up and parked near the first one. The guy comes out and just about the time he reaches his vehicle he pushes the alarm and unlock switch. I hope he didn't buy Ice cream while in the store. You ready for this. They arrested this guy. He had 9 outstanding warrants for traffic tickets, the plaque he was using was reported stolen 2.5 years earlier and the officers found 3 more plaques in his console. All had been reported stolen, the latest one only 1.5 month earlier. He never saw me but I have a pretty good guess he knows how he got caught. He was not even from around Gallatin. He lived in Waverly Tennessee but they had his vehicle towed. Yea, I know, I'm a trouble maker but he should not have cut that little lady off and took the space and had an attitude. This happened about 3 years ago or better but I was reminded of it from this thread. The officer thanked me for being an upstanding person and reporting the violation. He also said that he wished the would find another way to provide handicap parking permits. He said a sticker that could be displayed on the rear window was being discussed but evidently it didn't go anywhere.

Back when I had my S&W Bodyguard I would many times carry it and a concealed side arm together depending on where I was going.

No doubt a shield would have been nice but a SWAT TEAM would have been much better IMO!!!

Sounds like he is coming up in Gregs and my area and a couple others on here. If ya'll plan on going out I would write down that tag number just in case he gets this far. I doubt he will get this far but you never know. With that TBI-DEA- Dickson County Sheriff drug task force that stretches from the 172-196 mile markers on I-40 e&w I'm sure they will all be watching for him.

Well then someone needs to correct Google because when I typed Randall Bowie Knife into the search section this is the knife they came back with. I have always thought the pictures in the upper left looked like all the bowie knives I have seen in my life so I guess we can blame it on Google and not my stupidity this time. Well I know I should stay out of this but according to all the on line searches I can find on the Randall Bowie Knife I can't see any real difference between GT's Bowie knife design and Randall s Bowie Knife. And like I have always said, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I want to tell one more little story about him that shocked everyone but me I guess. Margie and I took care of the 3 grandchildren in the morning getting them off to school and keeping them after school till their parents got home. Now since Matt had ADHA he fell under DHS health care and they were responsible for his health care. I myself have never had much use for them but it is what it is. Anyway Matt is in the 5th grade, Dani is in 3rd grade and lil Ritchie was in 1st. It was late Spring and kind of warm weather so Margie had dressed them in short pants outfits. Well that previous weekend they had been over visiting on Satuday and Matt was playing Tarzan and fell out of a small tree in our back yard. Nothing broken, but a small cut covered with a bandaid and a bruise on his hip abut the size of a golf ball. Off to school they go. Matt is doing his studies when the teacher had noticed the bruise and Matt said he fell out of a tree and my Gramma's house. The teacher said ok but 30 minutes later she asked him again hw he got the bruise and once again he told her about the tree. Well the teacher was not getting the answer she wanted cause on the 5th time of asking him before lunch he looked at her and said my daddy beat me. During Lunch the teacher call DHS and reprts an abused child and an 2 hours later a man and a woman from DHS was at our home and the only thing they would tell us was they had a report and were following up on it and would tell us more when the children arrived. They were almost treating us like criminals. Well the kids got home and the woman began asking their names and then she said Matthew, I need to ask you a question and I need you to tell me the truth. How did you get that bruise on your leg and he said my daddy beat me and Dani screamed Bubba your lying, you know you got that when you fell out of the tree and Matt said I know Dani. So the woman ask him why he lied and he said well my teacher ask me how I got it and I told her the truth about the tree and she didn't believe me and she ask me 3 more times and I told her the truth and the last time she ask me I told her a lie so she would quit asking me. Now this is a 5th grader that was smart enough to out manuever a school teacher so she will quit asking him to lie. The guy that was with the woman said I think we are done here and we are very sorry for taking up your time and they went out, got in their car and left. It took everything I had to not bust out laughing before they got out the door but that shows how smart Matt was in 5th grade. So yea he's a fine kid greg and smart too..........

First off I am sorry to hear about your pet and it's issues. I think you might need to get a second opinion on the diagnosis. I have never heard of a dog getting 2 dozes of insulin a day to begin with and I have known a few people who's dogs were diabetic. That or you call the vet and ask him if your wife heard him correctly. Something just does not sound right.

I have never understood that either. A 22LR such as my Phoenix can be a get off me gun and it will kill you dead too yet so many folks won't give credit to the 380 Calibers. Yea, he was the one everyone else in the family gave up on and said he would never amount to anything except his Grandpaw. He developed ADHA at age 3 and became a holy terror and was out of control a lot. The doctors finally put him on Ritlin and at age 5 he was almost zombie like. He had a doctors appointment and I told my daughter I was going with her. She had her say and the doctor said there was no other treatment and I got my time with the doctor and I asked him if he ever actually spent time talking to him or was it easier to just shove pills at him. That kind of caught the doctor off guard. Someone was challenging him decision. At first he wanted to argue but he thought better or it. He instead took Matt into his office while I sat there and actually talked with Matt and found out Matt could carry on a conversation for a 5 year old. The doctor wrote a different prescription. With in about 2 weeks we could see a difference in him. He didn't get mad at everything he was told to do such as pick up his toys and when he did I told my daughter to whip his butt but just enough to get his attention and tell him he is going to listen to you when you talk to him. I also told her not to every yell at him. He is my step daughter's son but I claim all them as my kids. Any way Matt was able to go to school and maintain a normal grade level. He had a little sister and a little brother. Because of his ADHD he is considered handicap but they have advanced so much with it since he was young all he needs now is 1 shot a month and he lives a normal life. He got s scholarship and went to a Technical College and now works in Computer Technology. So yea, it was tough going when he was first diagnosed with it but by my never giving up on him the rest of the family was not allow to and it turned out alright.

Back about 6 months ago or a little longer my grandson gave me a Samsung 7 smart phone and sad he put the easiest program to operate in it so I would have a smart phone. Well so far the phone is still smarer than Grandpaw in many cases. Today he just called me to tell me Friday he is bringing me his old Laptop Computer cause he just bought a new one. He asked me what program I am using on my desk top and I told him Windows 7 and he said ok cause that is what is on it. So either Friday or Saturday I will e going higher tech than I am now. He said he will put any programs I want that are on my desktop and it will all be at my fingertips and I would not need a mouse to operate it. I told him I like using a mouse and he ask if i had an extra one and I said yes so he said he will put in on the lap top if I want it on there just by plugging it into a USB port. But he said I might want to use the finger first and see if I like it. So like I said I will be higher Tech this weekend. Will be a nice backup if my desk top ever had to go into the shop anyway. He said the laptop will also be much faster also...............

I have come to a conclusion many times a nutcase does not need a reason to kill someone. They just do it out of peer old meaness. That is why I tell everyone to keep your head on a swivel when at all possible. One never knows when a nut case may decide to kill someone..........JMHO
