  1. I don't think I will ever understand why men are so stupid as to do something like this. If I was in a rocky marriage and my wife came to me and told me she was divorcing me I would throw her a going away party and tell her asta-lavesta-Baby and celebrate her leaving. I would not want to be with any woman that did not want to be with me and I damn sure would never hurt my children............
  2. I think it is really kind of stupid flying drones near airports to begin with. Takes a real lowlife to not take the lives of hundreds of people as important knowing his toy could take down a Jumbo Jet kiling everyone on board. There is plenty of air space not near major airports to play with these toys. I think anyone caught flying one in commercial air space should face some very serious jail time and some hefty fines and yes, the loss of his toy............JMHO

  4. There is a special place in HELL for people like him and as far as I am concerned he can't get the quick enough................
  5. You are 100% dead on here Dave. I keep most of my firearms in a locked safe. The only ones I have out are the couple I use for home protection. All of my friends and family know they are to call before stopping by and at that point I secure the house guns as well cause sometimes they have the grandkids along or a friend that I may or may not know. There is zero access to any of my firearms while they are here. I trust all of my family but kids don't know better at ages in the pre- teen ages and I don't trust any of the friends they might have with them even if I know them. No one knows anyone out side of family that good............JMHO
  6. Glad to hear ya'll got together and had a good breakfast and meet and greet. It's alway nice to get to meet members of TGO. I have enjoyed everyone I have ever met from the site................
  7. I agree on the family member issue. I don't have that issue as I get along with everyone in my family and I don't think Darby will be calling the police on me and she is the only other resident in my house. I get along well with all my neighbors and we all help each other out when anyone is in need. Plus they are all gun owners both most of my family and all of my neighbors......JMHO
  8. Yea, it is going to happen for sure. I guess it just depends on how the Law is written as to how much it will effect the 2nd Amendment rights of the people and will the people file lawsuits or will they accept the laws as written. GOA is going to or already filed law suits against it and I have become a member of GOA and will have to give a lot of thought about remaining a NRA member since they don't seem to care about peoples rights any longer..........JMHO
  9. Ok, I will give you that. You are also correct about the Gun Free Zones I also feel that is a real issue that requires attention. I have said many times that gun free zones are nothing more then killing fields and open season for a person that plans on killing a bunch of people with little to no fear of being stopped until authorities show up to stop them and in many cases recently the police have show reluctance to enter the building while the shooting it still taking place. One brave man did so and was killed but he died doing his best to save lives and for that I give him my utmost respect.
  10. I think thats a great picture for an older camera. Beautiful Buck for sure. I cannot understand how anyone could even think about shooting such a Majestic Creature!!!
  11. Has anyone else noticed that in many of the mass shootings many if not most of them take place in States that have the strictest gun laws in the country? That in itself show prove that laws reagrdless of what state they are in don't stop the criminal element from getting guns and killing people. We don't need new and more laws. We just need the ones on the books enforced and that is not happening. Also Law Enforcement at the Higher Levels has in many cases dropped the ball by having people on a watch list or even having the shooter in custody and releasing them and then making excuses after they go out and shoot up a crowd of innocent people. The FBI, ATF, DHS and many other top law enforcement agencies keep telling the public, if you see something or you hear something SPEAK UP!! That has been done a couple times and was not acted upon till after the fact and people are dead. So until they begin acting on the laws that are on the books already quit trying to jam more laws down the throats of the American people.................JMHO
  12. I saw a spike Albino back many years ago on our farm when I first moved down here in 67. I use to see them all the time up in Illinois while growing up hunting small game. Back when I was a kid Illinois didn't have a deer season and there were a lot of white deer on Government land surrounding the Argonne National Labratory. My buddy and I would hunt Rabbits and Pheasants on the property and see the deer.
  13. I quit trying to read those damn signs when it went beyond "Click it or Ticket"
  14. R I P > loved your show and watch reruns when they show them. That was back when funny was actually funny.
  15. I don't think this comes as much of a surprise to gun owners after the maniac in Las Vegas killed and injured so many people using Bump Stocks to enable him to do what he did........JMHO
  16. Thanks and I am also.
  17. My son Ronnie came to talk to me about his job. He is working for a small family business doing general auto repair. They have him salaried at $800.00 a week and work him from 8 to 6 five days a week and sometimes till 7PM if a job needs to get done. The one of the main issues with working for these people is they won't heat to work area. When it gets cold it just gets cold cause they won't turn the heat on. When it's cold he has to wear two or three layers of clothng to work and I know how hard that can be to do. He has work there going on 3 years and every winter he gets sick because of his working conditions and if he took a day off while sick they would dock his pay. On the days when he worked over they did not increase his pay that week. I told him that was not right. I went up to his work place one day and had lunch with him and he introduced me to his employer. His employer is a Foreigner from another country and I didn't ask. He was nice enough to talk with and he said he was impressed with my sons work. He could do alot of the high tech stuff none of his other techs could do. That was my opening to get involved in asking why the shop did not have an All-Data system to do the system scans on the new cars and he said because we never had anyone that could use one. I said well you do now so he looked at purchasing one. Ronnie was having to do what tests he could from information he could get off his smart phone and that was running his bill up and I told him employer about that and his employer is now giving him the amount of his phone bill as bonus in a salary once a month. I had to finally bring up the heat factor. I said you spend most of your day in the heated part of the office but the bread winners that keep the money coming in and the doors open. I think I kind of caught the guy off guard with all my questions but the shop now has heat and a All-Data unit to scan cars up through 2018. I only did that because I had another job waiting in th wings for Ronnie in case the guy got offended and fired him but as it is all things worked out.
  18. I have been dead and sent back 4 times in a 1 hour time frame. When that truck smashed me between it and a brick wall back in 1978. I died twice in the ambulance on way to hospital, died again in the ER and died again during an emergency surgery. I was told about the one in Surgery cause I was sedated when that one happened but in the previous three times I heard the people working on me say "wer'er loosing him" and a second later everything was calm and quiet. Then all at once I was back again and could sense a sigh of relief in the EMT's and then about 3 minutes later it happened again and it was the same and then I was back again. And we had arrived at the Hospital and tech said "lost him twice for about 1 to 1.5 minutes," so I knew how long I was gone before being sent back by GOD. I don't know how long I was gone in ER or Surgery but was told it was touch and go both times. I spent some time thinking about those 1.5 minutes and what I felt and all it was was peace and quiet. I thank GOD every night before going to sleep for looking out for me those times and every day since then.
  19. Has anyone ever wondered with all the Global Warming/Clmate Change why many of the snowflakes don't melt and go away. I have finally figured it out. They are made of and it don't melt................JMHO
  20. I can only remember being in 1 quake back when I was about 10 years old and one struck the Fault Madrid back in the 50's while I still lived in Illinois. I can remember it because at the time I had about 5 or 6 dogs that I had rescued that people brought out of Chicago to farm country and dropped them. Anyway all of the dogs began barking and jumping around wildly and running around in the back yard and about a minute or two later our house began shaking. Some of my mothers knick knacks fell off here end tables onto the carpet floor and a few dishes got broke in the kitchen. It lasted about 2 to 3 minutes and there were 2 after shocks that were much smaller in size. I have always tried to have a dog or two after that because they do make short but good early warning services for quakes. I have heard of dogs reacting as long as 5 minutes before one hits. People just need to be able to realize what the dogs are acting the way they are and react accordingly such as getting outside a building and away from power lines till it's over...............JMHO
  21. One thing I will never understand is why when decisions like arming all the staff in a school is just announcing to any future shooters make sure you shoot the staff near you first and get rid of that threat. That is what all the night club shooters do. They shoot security first.................JMHO.
  22. Well, I had a job for 35 years I dearly loved back when I was working fixing cars and light trucks. I looked forward to going to work every day. My if a shop I was working in closed down I would load my tool box and make no more than two stops at other shops around Nashville area. I finally had a friend tell me to check out a location in Brentwood and I did. I went in an asked if I could fill out an app and the man handed me one ad he said is your name Doug and I said yes sir. He looked out at my pickup with all the boxes in the back and he said you hvae a job. Just finish your app and for the record. I turned in the app and he took me out in the shop and said you will be working in bay 3. I said ok and I asked him about how the pay works and he began laughing and he said yea, I am getting ahead of my self and he too me in his office and explained his entire format. I said can I get some help with unloading my tools and he said yes, the other techs in the shop will help you. When we shook hands he looked at me and said your reputation preceeds and I have wished for long time I could have a mechanic of your caliber working for us. I didn't have 1 guy that was happy I was hired without his approval and that was the Service manager and he was always allowed to interview all new mechanics and he didn't me. The shop owner hired me personally. The service Mgr. got over his bad mood pretty quick and for the last 10.5 years I worked I loved my job. zero stress at all. I even set my own hours and would be in at 8AM and leave when I had my work done. Sometimes 5 but most times between 6 and 7 PM. Once the Service Mgr found out I was pretty able to fix anything wrong so he would have my work order pegs fill before I ever got to work. I still miss not being able to work on cars back when cars were still cars. Now my son get to work on what they call cars now days...........lol
  23. That quake reminds me of my mother searching for new homeowners insurance and I was at her house when the agent came by. Now taking into consideration my mother lived in Greenbrier and it is up on a hill so high that when you drive up it your ears will pop. She tells him what she wants and ever so often he would butt in on her. That was his first mistake so after about 4 interuptions she stopped what she was talking to let him talk and he told my mother that she forgot her flood insurance. She looked at him and said son, did you come from Nashville up here and he said yes. She said do you remember coming up a great big long hill to get here and he thought for a minute and said yes. She said that is why I did not include flood insurance cause the only flood that would have reached that house has already happened. Now I do want Earthquake insurance was her next statement. He opened up a folder and searched for it and turned out his company didn't offer it. She looked at him and said then you can't help me. I showed him to the door and on the way to the door he asked me if she was serious about Earthquake Insurance and I said Yep and that is why your leaving.
  24. I believe you Eric. I was going by what the Fake News here in Nashvile said. It was not a typo error. It was a fake new error...........
  25. I was just watching the news and they said ya'll had 2 quakes. 1st one was 3.3 which can be scary but I imagine the one most of ya'll felt was the 8.8 according the earthquake center.
