What is your chosen Self Defense ammo
bersaguy replied to Ronald_55's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I began doing some thinking after reading some of the posts about 380 Calibers and since I have at lease 4 Magazines for my Bersa Thunder I have loaded 2 of them with Hornady CD and 2 Magazines with Fiocchi FMJ. That way if I am going to be out and the weather is cold I will load the FMJ magazine in so if I need to use it I won't have ss much problem with perp wearing a lot of clothes as I would with Hollow Points. In warm weather I will put the Hornady Mags in. I can do the same thing with the Model 85 Bersa. Load 1 Mag with Hornaday Hollow points and one mag with FMJ's. I think options are a good idea and glad I read the posts on that situation....... -
Man Who Shot at California Deputy Had Been Deported Three Times
bersaguy replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
The wall is like a locked door. It may discourage a lot of people from trying to scale it but it won't stop all of them just like a locked door won't stop everyone but it will stop at least 80-85% of them. Border security can handle the rest. Right now the border is an unlocked door that is almost a wide open door.............. -
The NRA is to busy sending me reminders that i have not sent in my membership fees to renew my membership. So far I have gotten 3 cancellations and four 7 day extentions with them almost begging me to remain a member and the only reason I have not renewed my membership is because I have not seen them doing anything that is what the NRA is suppose to represent but they make sure you get your renewal reminders. I am not sure I will renew yet. Still thinking about it...........

Man Who Shot at California Deputy Had Been Deported Three Times
bersaguy replied to volshayes's topic in General Chat
Well, he won't have to worry about the wall and coming back a 4th time. The police officer put an end to that and for that I applaud her and I wish she would have had 16 rounds and could have shot him 16 times....As far as when will the politicians stop protecting these people is when these people begin killing them or family members of them. Till then they have no reason to stop protecting them. They need them to help stop the wall. As far as I'm concerned they need to begin burying the illegals under the wall and put a marker where the Criminal is buried as a reminder to those trying to sneak in our country...................JMHO -

They finally figured out they don't need a reason or have to explain why they rasie and lower the gas prices. They just do it and people keep buying it is why you have not heard any reasons why it has gone up.........

I had some really smart people in my class both in classroom and on the range when I went to take my permit class. It was not a to diversed group. Did have two middle aged ladies that aced their classroom and Range tests both. Then we had 1 elderly gentleman That did fine in classroom grade but range test was a lot different and I have to had it to Chad, our instructor as he ask the class to bare with him and Chad and his partner were down on the range trying to assist the gentleman in passing the range test. The issue was the gentleman showed up with a Smith&Wesson Snub 38 brand new in the box that he had never fired and 1 box of ammo. 1.5 hours and 4 boxes of ammo later the man was able to get a passing grade. Chad told the gentleman if he planned on using the gun for anything he needed to dedicate a lot of time and ammo at the range with the gun.

So just goes to show that even when back ground checks are done a felon criminal can still legally obtain a handgun so what will more back ground checks do if the ones now being done don't work? I have a friend I grew up with that still lives up there and he said he knows of a few other cases where felons were able to go through back ground checks in Illinois and were allowed to purchase hand guns but it never made the news and was caught and corrected and guns were collected by police before they could be used. I would like to know why they did not imediately go and take this guys gun away instead of sending him a letter asking him to please turn the gun in. All the letter did was tip him off that they knew he was a felon with a gun and he knew sooner or later they would be coming for it!! How many criminals are going to respond to a letter like that and take their gun and voluntarily turn it in?................

Recommendation on safe movers in Knoxville
bersaguy replied to East_TN_Patriot's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Have you tried calling the people you purchased the safe from originally to see what they would charge to come out and move it. They might give you a better price since you bought it from the originally. Just a thought!! -
He better lose more than his HCP. He better lose some money in fines and do some jail time. He was evidently a Liberal with an HCP that took offense by someone supporting our President and country................JMHO

I have been writing my elected officials and also emailing them every week but have not heard back from any of them. You can bet when election time comes around I will hear from them wanting my vote. When I do hear from them then I will remind them of the many times I wrote them and they never replied back and see what their excuse is then. Along with telling them my vote depends on their excuse for not replying back.................

I don't think there can be a law written that will prevent criminals from getting guns. When laws are written and passed the only people that they effect are the people that legally own a gun and abide by all the laws written and passed. We all hear about many times a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun from doing a lot more killing then they would had the good guy not been there and reacted accordingly to stop the bad guy. Everytime this takes place the police call the man a hero for stepping in and stopping the bad guy. Those are the kind of stories the liberals don't want people to hear about because it goes against every one of their agendas. According to the Liberals there are no good guys with guns. If they had their way every gun owner would be a criminal and that is their real goal...........JMHO

Men Arrested for Stealing Machine Guns And Silencers From SHOT
bersaguy replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
After reading the post from the link again I am now wondering just what kind of Kangaroo court system they have in Neveda that they would even think about letting these guys walk out of court at all. And then it said there is a possibility they "MIGHT NOT" be able to posess a firearm again after their trial and if they get convicted and go to prison which I am doubting now that may even happen. Who has the shotgun they bought at the present time? This whole thing is a total joke and they may walk from all of it with a slap on the wrist if they even bother to appear in court at all.............JMHO -
Men Arrested for Stealing Machine Guns And Silencers From SHOT
bersaguy replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I was thinking the same thing. That does seem strange that they would comit that type of crime and they release them with no bond. Like you said if I had done that I would end up waiting for trial in jail because my bond would be so high no bonding company would touch it..........JMHO -
Steve Dickerson (R-Nashville) to Introduce Red Flag Bill
bersaguy replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Just because they have an R in front of their chosen party doesn't mean he/she doesn't think like they do about some things and it's evident this is one of those people and things!! I have been writing my elected officials and telling them to vote no to the RED FLAG bill coming up for a vote and hope to hear back from them soon. -
Mine is kinda slow to load but never locked up or crashed. Mine had been slow since we got the format of them we have.

bersaguy replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I say if you give the gun grabbers an inch and they will take the whole state. Red Flag Laws are not meant to work with gun owners but just to get your guns any way they can and it will be our own fault if we don't do everything we can to stop them from writing laws that benefits only them..........JMO -
Permit holder intervenes in Dentist Office shooting near Kingsport
bersaguy replied to Ronald_55's topic in General Chat
The shooter probably would not have stopped with just his wife. Wife was just main target but had it not been for the permit holder stopping him we will never know but I am sure glad the permit holder stepped up and ended it. If more things like this happened it might make these idiots stop and think before they act. The sheriff is correct in calling the permit holder a hero for sure.........JMHO -

There are so many things about these RED FLAG Bills/Laws that bother me I don't know where to begin!!!! -
Definately hug her a bunch and everyone hug their children every chance you get cause you never know when it might be the last hug. Also make sure you tell all of your family each day that you love them, each and everyone that you talk to. I am very glad your daughters Guardian Angel was riding with her this morning................

Just thought I would post a picture of my Rescue dog. I kind of think we rescued each other. . I don't know who owned here before but she is very well trained and I began learning this by accident. I was messing with her one day and I said I have to sit down and she sat down. Then I tried lay down and she laid down and I said roll over and she rolled over. She loves to play fetch both on dry ground and at the lake . I sure there are many of you that remmember the story behind my reason for getting her as many many folks here helped me in a time of need when I lost my Kasey and many of yall, contributed to allow me to have Kasey Cremated. At that time in my life I didn't know if I could take care of another dog so I decided to give it some thought. Well the house was empty with out Kasey begging for snacks or wanting to go out so I thought it won't hurt to look at some rescue dogs and I did look at probably 50+ dogs and they were probably all great dogs but I had just not felt it was the right one till one of the girls brought Darby to the visiting room . I knew in about 1 minute that this was the one going home with me . We visited for about 15 minutes and it took a few minutes to get her to more attentive to me and then even show signs of warming up to me . It about 10 minutes she was in my lap and the girls that brought her into the room where satnding behind the glass and 2 of them was crying. I told them to get me a collar for her. She was going home with me and it was only then that I learned she was scheduled to be put down in 3 days. She had been at another rescue center for 6 months before being transfered to this one and she was on her 87th day there and their policy is 90 days if they transfer in from another facility. So she saved me and I saved her. Her bed is a Twin size memory foam Matress and i just added the old comforter and threw Kaseys old one in a box after washing it so it is stored.

I watched the game and I got the feeling about 1/2 way through the game that NFL told Brady to amke a game of it and not another blow out so that is why he didn't make 40+ points like they normally do when they play. The Rams played their hearts out on defense and not so much on offense. Rams offensive line sucks big time. Brady had all the time in the world to find open receivers. He made passes that would have been caught if he wanted them caught. He made a game of it but could have racked up a lot more points then he did. The Saints would have made it a much better game........JMHO

You can bet next time they go to serve a drug warrant or most any warrant anymore there will be a SWAT team on scene. Should have been one that time. I think the police put to much faith in their bullet proof vests to keep them from harm...................JMHO
