I know someone it happened to. The person did everything except take the TBI to the front door of the killers of a Deputy Sheriff and there was a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the killers arrest. The person even testified in the case for the prosecution and when it came down to getting the reward he got zip and was told Thank you for doing your civic duty for the people in your community. That is why I wonder how many people actually get the rewards that are promised.

How many people think they will actually pay a $52,000.00 reward even if someone handed him up to them on a gold platter all wrapped in rope much less just information leading to his capture???

If Biden gets elected you can bet there will be a run on double Barrel Shotguns cause that is what he likes to shoot according to back when he was VP under Obama..............

Thought I would add this link to make it easier for folks to learn more about GOA. https://gunowners.org/

Better an AK/AR than a C-4 belt. You can stop 1 but not much chance of stopping the other if a person is determind to do a mass murder and has no plans to live through it!!! If one of the officers did shoot and hit a bystander, if he had not been firing at the bad guy chances are the bystander would have been killed by the shooter anyway...........JMHO

I wish they would have elaborated more on how he managed to get the gun from the Security officer. The guy brought a knife to a gun fight and won!! How often does that happen???

I'm a member of GOA and no longer a member of the NRA for about a year now. I still keep getting emails from the NRA. They have told me about 30+ times that my menbership is about to expire and it has been renewed for 24 hours. It has been renewed for 24 hours about 30 times also and all that tells me is they are getting desperate to get members back that they have lost. I get emails about things the GOA is working on in DC often and they seem to be staying busy working for gun owners and 2nd Amendment issues.

I think the reason they posted his tatoo's is because most people will look at a persons body art before they even look at their face. Plus he could shave the beard and maybe add a ball cap but it's not easy doing much with body art to imediately change your appearence. As far as why he is still breathing air. Probably because no one has had him in their sights yet. I may have missed it but is there a reward or bounty on him yet?
-
Yea, they were just phising for more reasons to blame the police for not killing him quicker and creating a place to put more blame on someone and open up another can of worms that don't need to be opened.........JMHO

When the news medias run out of news they are quick to make something up to keep the shooting on the front page as long as possible. Don't focus on the fact that the Police were very quick to stop what could have been a whole lot worse and try to find fault with the fact that he even got 1 shot off before being killed.

I think a lot of this refers back to that old expression "If you see something or hear something say something!" Most people like that woman in San Bernadino back several years ago. She could hear things but didn't want to get involved and it cost many lives by keeping quiet. The manifesto from the El Paso shooter was released just shortly before he went on the shooting spree but with all the hatred that person had in him I would be willing to bet he had talked with family or friends about his feelings and they either didn't believe he was serious or they didn't think he would do something like that. Still in all, if he did talk about it with anyone they should have told someone about his feelings. There are many people that are upset with the influx of Hispanic people flooding into our country but his actions is not and never will be the answer to the problem............JMHO

They keep throwing around the statements about Mental Health Professionals needing to be a big part of fixing the problem. I do agree with that but these professionals will expect to be paid for their services and since the insurance industry is in total dissary and so many Americans don't have insurance where is the money going to come from to pay these professionals. I'm sure they will not just jump up and volunteer to do it Pro-Bono like some attorneys do. And then you have these people like the Dayton Shooter. According to police he never even got a parking ticket. I think it is very strange that he would open fire in a crowd knowing his sister and a friend where in the place and he ended up shooting and killing her and injuring her friend. If they all arrived together in 1 vehicle how many people think they knew what his plans were? I wonder how much information the friend is going to be able to provide? I would not think they knew his plans and went there knowing his plans to shoot up the place but that is just my opinion. Police have mentioned it once I think that his sister and her friend may have been his targets but not much else has been mentioned about that. I have been saying prayers for everyone affected by both shootings and I would like to say Good Job to the First Responders in Dayton. They save a whole lot of lives with their very fast response to the gun fire.
-
The shooting in Dayton Ohio lasted about 1 minute before police killed the shooter yet he was able to do a lot of carnage in that 1 minute. They said the shooter was wearing body armor but police were able to kill him in one minute. That was a very fast response by police and a job well done. That also does show one thing. Regardless of how fast the shooter is neutralized, it is not fast enough to save everyone!!......JMHO

I guess since he willingly surrendered to police they figured he was no longer a threat. He had done what he set out to do and I am willing to bet if he would have tried anything stupid the escort officer would have killed him.....JMHO
-
I have always thought that if you are threatened and then the bad guy sees you have a gun pointed at them, if they turn to run the threat against you is over and you cannot shoot them in the back. The same I think would be the theft of Property. If you catch someone trying to steal your vehicle or other property and you have a gun and you call out to them to stop or you will shoot or something similar and they break and run again the threat is over and you should not discharge your weapon unless they turn and come towards you which inturn puts you physically in danger and you shoot them anywhere in the front of their body. As far as Officer Delke, I feel he was totally justified in shooting the perp. He gave orders several times for the man to stop and he didn't. He was also running with a gun in his hand which meant had he stopped and turned on the officer with the gun officer Delke's life was in imediate danger. By officer Delke not knowing what the perps plans were he was justified to discharge his weapon. If you don't have anything to hide and an officer tells you to stop the best thing to do is stop and if he tells you to stop and drop you stop and drop.....JMHO

"Teen suspect killed in restaurant robbery attempt is Nashville's third self-defense shooting in ten days" That is the headline of a story right now. All three were attempting to rob people at gun point when they got shot. The good guys have been charged. I hate to break it to you, but the Nashville DA has charged a cop with murder for doing exactly what you described. And if they can do with him; it will be a lot easier to do it with any of us" Well evidently the news was incorrect because they said the DA was not pressing any charges against to good guys and said he was declaring them all as self defense. I was just posting what the news said. I'm sorry if my post was incorrect but was just going by what the new was saying. The DA must have changed his mind after the news reported differently. So evidenly if a punk with a gun attempts to rob you and you are armed you are just suppose to let him rob you and you are not allowed to defend yourself. What good is it to have a carry permit and be armed if you are not allowed to defend yourself against a robber????
-
Well, I was watching the news tonight and another bad guy with a gun was shot and killed by a good guy with a gun in or around Nashville and all of the cases have been declared self defense and the news medias have named in Vigilante Justice. I'm sorry but when someone confronts you with a gun and threatens you and you shoot him that is not Vigilante Justice. That is self defense and that loks like that is the way the DA is seeing it also and no charges are expected to be filed on any of the good guys. On another note I couldn't believe how many firearms have been stolen from unlocked vehicles just this year. Over 200 guns have been stolen out of unlocked cars in the owners driveway at night. And they wonder how these youg kids are getting their guns? I didn't catch the name of the person that works at the DA's office but he said that they are looking at going to the legislators and getting a law drawn up making the car or truck owners liable for charges if the gun that was taken from their vehicle is used in a crime. I don't know if that will happen but something has to be done about gun owners that are so careless as to leave a loaded gun in an unlocked vehicle over night!!!!!.............JMHO

It was funny to every one but the guy wih the rope. The best laid plans of mice and men does not work everytime..........

I will add one more post to this and then sit back and read. This young man has been put out of the home of his parents because of drug issues and other reasons. That alone should be a flashing light to draw attention to the fact the young man could very well cause problems to the church or worse some of the members. It is better to act before something happens than have to do something after there has been a more serious incident with possible injury or worse. Be Pro-active so you don't have to be re-active..........JMHO
-
If the young mans parents have given up on him it sounds like he has been a handful before coming to the Church. There is only so much help you can give anyone that does not want to help themselves and it sounds like this is one of those cases. He was living with his parents and would not continue his rehabilitation which is an indication he does not want help, he wants a handout. I don't know if the church leaders have notified the proper authorities such as local police and discussed their problem maybe they should at least make them aware of the issue. The police may already have him on their radar but if they don't they need to..............JMHO

All the weather forcaster I have heard talking about it does sound like middle to west Tennessee is going to get rain from Barry. Most of them are talking 3 to 5 inches in the areas they mentioned and they said some flash flooding may be a chance in some areas. Louisiana may be in some serious trouble with the Mississippi River already at flood stage and the storm ahs not even hit yet. Gonna be a good test on those new levies they built after Katrina.

I am far cry from being trigger happy so chances are I would not just shoot someone for entering my home through an unlocked door as long as they announce they are in the house. Where I now live chances are if anyone comes in my door it will be a realtive of close friend. My Daughter and SIL and other family members that live close by always knock and wait for my reply to come in along with all friends. Now that being said coming thru a locked door which again would require some major noise with the dead bolts on my doors and al my windows also lock and would require breaking. Any entry of that nature may not get you shot but it will put you in a position that when you are inside you will be facing a muzzle of a large bore gun and told to get face down with arms spread while we wait on authorities. Any failure by the perp to follow the orders might be cause for things to follow accordingly. Darby hears everything and alerts me to anything out side the house also.

Sorry Dave but thanks for reloading it so folks can see it. I thought it was pretty funny when I saw it and figured folks here might get a kick out of it. I thought it was pretty smart for the moose and I also could not believe it was 96 in Anchorage the other day but then the weather seems to be messed up everywhere and all creatures including humans are having to adjust to it.....

I posted this yesterday without realizing I was out of space and had to go and delete a bunch of really old attachments to open up some space. I think folks will enjoy this was reason for posting it. https://nypost.com/video/moose beats the heat with homeowners sprinkler/

I know several folks that have gardens doing about what yours is doing and these guys normally have great gardens. They say that the weather is so screwed up that you don't know whether to water or not water. The weather people will call for rain and it does not rain and when they don't call for rain and they water, it wil rain a flood on their gardens. A couple of them are looking at investing in large round type green houses for next year to put their gardens in and that way they will be more in control of what the weather does on their gardens. They said it is either feast or famon with them this year. Oh yea, I heard it was 96 degrees in Alaska yesterday and news media here showed a moose that figured out how to stay cool. It was laying under a shade tree in someones front yard and the people had sprinkler type hoses spraying their yard and the moose was laying right where the sprinklers would spray water on it. Hope this works: https://nypost.com/video/moose-beats-the-heat-with-homeowners-sprinkler/
