So evidently the Authorities have been able to prevent 3 or 4 mass shootings according to the news networks. Some because people spoke up and others because the future shooters posted something on Facebook or another Blog and authorities saw it and arrested the Perp and found he had a stash of weapons and ammo. I will not say I am happy they were able to get these people before they could carry out their plans because I am thrilled about it. I wish they could stop a lot more than they do. My question to folks here is how many of them really would have gone through with their plans and how many were just seeking notority and attention and that is why they shared their plans with friends knowing that the friends would tell someone that could stop them before they could carry out their plans. The authorities have said over and over that there are always some kind of warning signs before mass shootings but to many times people either don't see them till it's to late or they just don't speak up??

I like many view the UBC's as nothing more than a backdoor gun registry but how many here don't think that every time a person buys a gun from a gun dealer and goes through all the back ground checks and does everything by the book that the record of that purchased has not already been put in a registry right then in some Federal computer somewhere anyway? I would be willing to bet there is a secret registery somewhere and has been probably at least since Columbine and maybe earlier. I know they didn't have that kind of capability when Charles Whitman shot all those people in 1966 but things have changed a lot since those days. If a day ever comes that they do go after a legal gun owner that all at once comes up on the Fed radar as a possible furure mass shooter and they raid the persons home with a list of firearms they are looking for, what happens when they are looking for 15 guns but he only has 10. That would pretty much prove there is a registry somewhere huh?.............JMHO

I don't have a dog in this race for sure but it seems to mostly revolve around the parking lot mostly. I would first look at the area in which your business is located. Is it a normally pretty safe place/neigborhood and does it have regular patrols by local LEO's? If it is not a really safe neighorhood and could be iffy I would leave the decision up to the employee whether they want to carry a weapon from their vehicle to the work place. I have always felt it is better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6 and if the neighborhood does require one to carry a weapon in the parking lot that would be their decision. As most have pointed out the best option would be for them to attend a class and get a permit and that would eliminate all the What If's?.............JMHO

I just went and checked and they renew on July 5th and to date I still have 8.3 out of 10 left and I have been on the computer more this month than normal. I seldom ever use 2 per month.

Hi Dave, I am still using indoor antennas but hope to have an out door one soon. As far as internet I have been using go phone from AT&T for several years and I have 10 GB to work with and I seldom ever use more that 2 regardless how much I am on the computer so I always have 8+ going to waste but then better to much than not enough.

Thanks and I have been keeping my living room TV on ABC all day from morning till night and not seen a game yet but will keep trying...... Glad you got to go and see it live and hope your Father is also enjoying seeing you and the games! I think the problem may be the local station networking. The ABC channel I get is WKRN/Channel 2 and ABC has a whole lineup of stations and WKRN may just not be one that is showing the games.

That is exactly what these bills/laws will do more and more times. If the Sheriff would have done even a little investigation before just telling the guy to turn in his guns the sheriff could have went to the judge with the proof they had served the orders on the wrong man and then focused on arresting the real bad guy instead of leaving the bad guy walk. Just a poor job of the sheriff doing the right thing........JMHO

I'm sure as more of these bills get signed we all will be reading more horror stories very much like this one..........JMHO

I will keep watching it and maybe they will have a night game on or have some on tomorrow.

Back in my younger days I thought about going hog hunting. That was until my little brother went. This was back when Catoosa had hog hunts and my brother went with a couple other guys and a guide with dogs. My brother Cory was using a Blackhawk 44 mag and he did kill a hog. It to was also a head shot. Thing is it was a head shot from directly above the hog that sent my little brother up a tree and he had to shoot the hog while hanging above it in the tree. That was enough to change my mind about hunting hogs...........

I agree with you Mac, there is always a few people wantin to ruin a nice thing for the many. The fair is suppose to be a fun time for people of all ages but some people just can;t let it happen without trying to mess it up for all.....JMHO

LOL.... not where I live. I don't have any places nearby at all. I looked into getting cable here and they said it would cost about $1,000.00+ for the install and cost $125.00 a month after the install. They will be offering Fiber-Optics here in January and it will be offered to everyone in the area but they have not got any pricing available yet. They ran the main lines past my house last week on the poles along the road. I'm betting it is going to be exspensive once they get it installed and ready to start putting it in homes. I know a few folks that have satelite and they are paying big bucks to have it. In this area because they know they don't have any competition in this area yet so they can pretty much get what they want for Dish and U-Verse if you want it bad enough.

I have never streamed anything but SIL said streaming eats up your data time fast!!!

I just got an email from GOA asking that all the GOA members send emails or call and tell Trump not to sign the Red Flag Bill he has laying on his desk and said that the anti-gun people are making a big push after that shooting of police officers in Phili the other day. And again it was done by a felon/Criminal that should not have had a gun in the first place and not a law abiding citizen. Time after time when shootings like that one take place it is done by a criminal but the Anti-Gunners want to punish the law abiding citizens for it. I was sure glad to hear that all of the police officers made it that were wounded. I thought they would have to end up killing him to get him out but he got out unscaved!!! He was actually shooting threw his ceiling trying to kill to officers in the upper level of his house. He was determind to kill police officers.

The only thng I want in all Red Flag Laws is DUE PROCESS and as of yet I'm not seeing that being discussed even remotely by politicians looking at passing them in their states. Due process evens up the playing field somewhat. At least the person losing their guns knows who filed the complaint so they can provide a defense against the claim filed.

The only reason I could see why people want to put someone to death is politics. Governors and the President do have the power to release people from Prison with Pardons before leaving office. That almost happened back years ago here in Tennessee and there was some really bad guys on a list that the Governor was set to pardon when he was leaving office but it got stopped 3 days before he left office and the Governor elect Lamar Alexander was sworn in and the former Governor Ray Blanton was arrested along with several other people that were involved in a Pardons and Parole scandal where prisoners had bought and paid for them to be released. That could be a scary situation. I don't think you were living here back then Dave. I can specially remember two names on the list were serving life sentences for the murder for hire of a doctors wife in Chattanooga and the doctor got scared of the 2 guys and turned them in and admitted he paid them to kill his wife and they let the doctor go for admitting what he did but they got 2 cold blooded murderers that were being hunted for years for several other murders. I was still living in Illinois as a kid when Richard Speck slaughterd 6 student nurses and the one that hid under a bed saw him clearly testified in his trial and he was found guilty of the 8 murders in 1966 and sentenced to death. He died of a heart attack in 1991 after his sentence was commuted to life in prison without the chance of parole by the Illinois Governor. If anyone ever deserved to be executed it was him. When he was asked why he did it his reply was "It just wasn't their night"

DNA has changed the way a lot of cases are handled these days. Now they can also prove at the scene of a crime if the bad guy left DNA behind there is no defense for the bad guy cause they have his DNA proving he is guilty so DNA can prove innocence but it can also prove guilt.........JMHO The only down side to DNA testing is the backlog of tests that have not be done to prove guilt or innocense is years behind!!!

I'm wondering just how many people are hoping for the Red Flag laws to go into effect so they can call with the only reason being to help the left take away guns? If they don't have a court order and can't be held responsible for fake calls whose to say they won't make so many calls they overwhelm the law enforcement agencies all across this nation with fake calls just to get our guns?????

I love that collar Darby has on. I have tested it with a strong flashlight and I can see the collar up to about 50 yards so it is well worth the money. I think you can buy the collars seperately from the Tracking device also. I am looking to buy a new one soon. I think I am going to get my next one from Chewy as they have one made by Frisco that looks like what I am looking for and it has great reviews. You may want to check it out also.
