@ TomInMN The question is have you done any of the things you are asking other people if they have?? I know Dirtshooter and he raised some great children into very respectable adults and would be able to do it again if he had to. As far as those young/unborn children need a place to grow and be nurtured. If someone would do something about the Sorry Adoption System in this country many many of those children would have had all of that and more.There are 1000's of American couples that are turn down everyday for an adoption in this country that are more than qualified to be parents. When they get turned down here they apply for an adoption of a child in one of the foreign countries and get approved and bring home their future family from that country. I know this to be fact because I know two couples that applied to adopt here and were more than qualified and got turned down and now both couples have children from foreign countries and both have adopted not one but two or three because they didn't want to seperate siblings. Now they were allowed to adopt not one but more than one. I have known both of these families for many years and they have children attending colleges with two practicing Medicine already and one of them is at the Mayo Clinic. To think, those kids could have been American babies......JMHO

Can't rememebr where I read it but it was an article from General Mathis to President Trump that our military was running extremely low on ammunitions and Small arms because OBama had put a freeze on the military buying anything war related during his first term and it was still in place. I heard that Trump sent an order to end the buying freeze imediately and told Mathis to rebuild our Military back to where it should be. This was back like Trumps 1st year as President. Well that would mean if they are back buying the military supplies again and must must be buying from somebody.....JMHO

Well I have read about all of the posts here and no doubt the subject is a hot one. I read Garufa's post and also the link. I do admit it does make a little cause for alarm but then at the end of the Link was where it said that C Schumer and Nancy Pelosi both told Trump that it would be unacceptable for Trump to not pass the bill according to how it was written by the House!!! That would be giving Trump an "ultimatum of our way is the only way" and I'm not sure he accepts them to well, Especially from a couple people he really seems to not like to begin with. I'm not seeing Mitch McConnell moving to fast to jump on the Schumer/Pelosi band wagon either. Also right now Trumps numbers are down by about 9% and I don't think he wants to go against 85% of his base right now and have his ratings take a big hit. I think if Trump signs anything it will be what he wants and not what he is told by the enemy to sign...............JMHO

I think one of the main problems with all these young kids in early to middle teens have got slaps on the wrist for way to long and they don't think if they get caught they will get much more than probabtion at most. I think it's time that the courts begin fitting the time to the crime regardless of the age. I have seen far to many cases of teenagers being caught with guns in schools. There was a kid caught today in a Nashville School with a 9MM semi - auto and he said he bought it on the street for $120.00. They didn't say if the gun was stolen but I bet it is one of the 275 guns taken from a vehicle this year so far..........JMHO

Yep, thats why they travel in packs. Alone they are cowards. That is why I would hope if had to get involved and shoot any of them I would be able to pick out the leader first but I think shooting a couple would send the rest packing. Hope so anyway.

What the Aunt should be asking is why was the 3 teens wearing masks and out at that time of the night and why did they have a gun or guns??? It is always good boys that are all members of a choir at the local church that got killed according to family members........ It does not matter what the homeowner and his family was out in their yard at 4 AM doing. That does not give the punks the right to attempt to rob them and use a gun in the process. They just picked the wrong people to rob but they won't be robbing anyone else or being good boys singing in a choir.........JMHO

I carry my Bersa Thunder as my EDC but I have began packing 2 or 3 backup magazines and practiced magazine swaps until I can do it almost faster then anyone could get to me in a situation like this. There is in most cases like this a leader calling the actions of the thugs. He would be my first target. When the Bersa sends last round out action remains open and all you do is drop the empty and put in another load, close and start shooting again. Most of thugs like these are not going to be expecting a guy with 2 or 3 back up mags. If I am going someplace I feel really uncomfortable in I carry the Model 85 which is double stack and have at least one back up mag for it. I have even worked hard on buying certain clothing I can wear that won't let me print when I carry either gun. I have never open carried and never plan to in the future.

Like Dave, If I get a call and their name is not in my phonebook and shows up on the phone I don't answer them. I have had a few friends call and their number didn't show up so they would send me a text telling me who it was and thats their new number and I would call them back and update my phone book. The problem with me doing a poll of my own I would be very hard pressed to find someone I know that is not a gun owner...........JMHO

NASCAR died with Dale Earhart sr. They have been going down hill since he died and have been changing to all these crazy points races games. I quit watching them the year after Kyle Busch won the points chanpionship after coming back from that bad wreck in Daytona in the opening race and missing the first 7-8 races. NASCAR threw him a bone and said he could still run for the Championship and he did and won and that was my last year watching them.

I had that same issue. I did't see any business listed I do business with now or in the past!!!

I don't own any AR15's or Ak47's but that is by choice and not because I'm afraid they will come and take them away from me and arrest me. I own 1 long gun and it is a Marlin 60 22cal with a scope in case I want to go squirrel hunting. The politicians keep calling the AR's assault weapons or Military style weapons but I know several people that hunt with them and are very successful deer hunters. Yea to a point they are the gun of choice in many of the mass shootings but so have pistols also been used in much the same manner. The mass shooting at W Virginia Tech, 33 people were killed and the shooter was using a Glock 19 and a Walther P22. Are those considered assault weapons now too? Of course not yet!! There have been several other mass shootings where a pistol/pistols were used. The reason the politicians call these guns assault weapons is because if you were to actually sit down with several of them and have a debate you will find most of them could not tell you what gun is which or tell you who the manufacturer is, what the caliber is or anything else about them. It is mostly follow the leader and nothing more. It is a case of the Blind leading the blind and all falling in the same hole!!! Also the politicians that don't want Americans to have guns are the same ones that when they leave their homes they have anywhere from 4 to 8 body guards protecting them with of all things, guns!!! Many of them also carry one themselves. Also I wonder how many of them can tell you what type of firearms Charles Whitman used back in 1966 when he began shooting people from the Tower at Texas A&M. He didn't have one of these so called assault weapons but still managed to kill 11 people and wounded numerous others before law enforcement shot and killed him. It was later said after an autopsy that he had mental issues due to a tumor in his head. So how many people honestly believe that if they did get the so called assault weapons taken away they will stop the mass murders? If that is what they believe they are dreaming!! There is not a law that can be written that will stop Criminals from obtaining guns. There is not a law that can be written that can stop a mass murderer from carrying out their plans. If they can't get a gun they will get a truck, a car, a knife, a ball bat or some other type of weapon but they will continue to kill people. That is what they do...................JMHO

I have several pictures of the planes striking the towers store on my computer and I thought about posting them but I think anyone and everyone that was alive back then remembers what they saw. I use them to show my grandchildren and explain to them what happened that day is why 9/11 is so important to the American people. And when I talk to them I tell them who was flying those planes that day because here recently it has been said that some people are trying to get the American people who these people where and what their goal was and still is. There is an elected official that has gone to great length to try and make us forget who was flying those planes and it was brought up at a ceremony yesterday! I was watching the news last evening and was thrilled to see how many teachers were doing things with their students to allow them to ask questions and many of them actually took their classes to Washington DC to the 9/11 Memorial and other places that are related to that day. They said that their students need to know about it even though most of them were not even born then. There are many children still losing family members. Fathers are still being claimed even today from events that happened that day that spent many days working at the site of the towers. Prayers should be said every night for those brave men and women that gave it all and still are giving to this day.........JMHO

Like I said earlier if you insist on doing open carry you may need to have plenty of room for a very large garden and a place to raise your own chickens, pigs and beef if your going to eat. That or be a good hunter and be able to fill your freezers with wild game...........JMHO

GOD had plans for you my friend. If you have not figured out yet what it is you will. I would say if you have to talk with your children about that day 18 years ago you have already recieved some of what GOD had in mind for you. I'm sure as time moves on you can bet your children are going to be very glad you got to leave those few minutes early. GOD does move in very mysterious ways my friend. Just feel blessed and not guilty every night when you lay your head on the pillow. I don't think GOD had guilt on his mind that day for you.

I remember exactly what I was doing when the first plane hit the tower. I was fishing and listening to the radio in the boat when the news broke and by the time the second plane hit I was on the trailer and heading for home. I was pulling in my yard when they said the 3rd plane had crashed in a field. (Defender) has a good point about it happening again. Those same people have not given up on destroying us. They just are waiting for the right time and the right target..........JMHO

To a point yes but when you welcome someone into your country to live and prosper that does not give them the right to attack it and try to kill the people that welcomed you in............JMHO

Well I guess I am a Fudd to then........... It is not that I don't care about what the businesses are doing. What I see is companies compromising on what should be done and they are not against gun owners. They just don't want people walking around in their stores showing off their guns which to me is not necessary to begin with. If a person chooses to open carry that is their choice and they can accept what the companies are choosing to do or choose to not do business with them. It is not like the companies are not giving anyone options!.............JMHO

I personally support your decision 100%. I have never shopped at an Aldi's but know folks that have and none of them open carried anyway so it won't effect them either............JMHO
