  Well there may be an executive order issue but it is going to get very messy when they try to enforce it  because I don't believe that We the People are going to go silently into the night like a bunch of sheep because I for 1 am a sheepdog and not a sheep...........jmho

  Well that time has been there for me all my life. I love GOD with all my heart and I will die defending him and my right and freedom to love and believe in his teachings. I have prayed to him every night since I was old enough to talk and say prayers and I don't ever plan to not do that until they are shoveling dirt in my face and patting it with a shovel.

I remember having a prayer and doing the pledge of allegiance and the whole thing and not what they are trying to get kids to do now which is leave GOD out of it and I was not shouting there. I always do his name in caps. Hannity is discussing this very issue right now on Fox.

Yea he is paralyzed from his neck down but he is one very smart man for sure and when he speaks what he says you can take to the bank in most every subject. I'm glad fox has him because that is about the only news I watch.

Well Vandy was the number 1 trauma center in nashville and middle tennessee and all ambuances where ordered to take all trauma patients to vandy. I wonder if they will still be able to hand;e that kind of case load. What will happen if ( God help us it doesn't) there is a shooting or disaster like that and vandy doesn't have the staff to handle it? I know my doctor pulled out of there over a year ago as her hospital to send her patients to and moved to Centennial as her hospital of choice. She has a private practice and only makes rounds if she has a few patients in there. I think she may have seen this coming and bailed with time to spare.

I was watching the Five on fox this evening and they were discussing the shooting yesterday pretty extensively and they were discussing things that might be done to stop crazy people from getting guns. One person said that it has now been proven that back ground checks don't work cause they ran a back ground check on the shooter on Saturday when he purchased the shotgun and it came back clear. Another guy said that there in no way to really stop a person from getting a gun in this country if they want one bad enough unless they do like Australia did and collect all the guns. They asked Krauthammer what he thought about it and his reply was that they could begin trying to collect all the guns in this country and spend the next 100 years and still not get them but they will never try and take the guns because they are well aware of what the consequences would be when they tried and he concluded by saying "so that will never happen in this country."

There will be more folks unemployed then employed by years end or there will be more part time people working then ever before in this country's history...........jmho    I heard on Fox today that many large corporations are cutting everyone's hours back and many of them hiring to begin second and third shift all with part time people. The Oil companies are all cutting back and going to the part time programs so no telling what is going to happen to fuel costs. All I can say is the man promised change and he is keeping his word. I hope everyone that voted for him is happy. That is all I'm going to say on this cause any more and I will get booted off the site.

  Well all I have read all of the agencies I mentioned have armed personnel at all times. Just saying these people are armed yet our military is not? What is wrong with that picture?

I think that it's time for every American to step up to the plate and make it as clear as possible that if they even mention anything negatively about our 2nd Amendment Rights that they will be voted out of office at our first opportunity to do so. I know a lot of folks that are not members here that I am sending the link to everyday and I'm sure most everyone here knows a lot of other Pro 2nd Amendment people that would be more than glad to get involved in getting our elected officials in Washington DC to come to terms with the fact that not only are they going to have to fight the NRA and other Gun organizations but a major force of just American voters. I think it's time to let them know we will not go silently into the night and will not be a silent majority any longer..........jmho  I think if enough emails are received that they cannot keep up with them, kinda like a flood and not from NRA or Tea party but good old American voters it is going to have an effect and we can start with Corker and Alexander right here and get other folks we know is other states to start on their elected officials.............jmho again

I would like to hear the views of people regarding the fact that for some reason our elected officials felt that our well trained top of the line in the world military personnel should not be armed while on a base inside the country? I will give my opinion but I would like some others. I think for the most part they are actually afraid of our military personnel. You figure almost everyone in the Department of Homeland Security is armed at all times.( not law enforcement except in emergencies) The Secret Service, a branch of our Government is armed at all times. But are for protection of officials and not law enforcement.) It has now come to light that even people in the EPA. ( not law enforcement) is even armed along with people in Social Security ( not law enforcement) are armed. Why are our fighting men and women in our military not allowed to be armed when they are the most well trained and qualified in the handling of firearms and not armed and in an emergency such as Ft Hood and the Naval base our troops are not armed?........... :popcorn: :popcorn:   :popcorn:

In all honesty does anyone expect any less of the main stream media this day in time to actually get their facts straight before they begin giving out news. The entire thing boils down to one thing. timing!!!!  All of them want to be the first to publish or release the story so if they don't have the true facts they begin making them up as they go to beat the next guys news story. They learned that by watching the liberals in the Government. They see them get away with it all the time so they figure it is alright for them to do it too.........jmho

This seems to always be the issue when it comes to reporting. The reporters have no clue what kind of guns are used but the poor AR or AK always seems to get the blame. Yesterday a shotgun was used. Joe Bidens choice of weapons. Maybe old Joe gave this guy the idea that a shotgun would be his choice of weapons so the guy chose it from old Joes recommendations...............jmho

Folks, if we go back in time and do some research which I did a few years back mass shootings in not a new thing. I went back to the 70s and read up on that guy in Texas that climbed up in that tower at Texas A&M and shot and killed about 20 people before they were able to get to him. He was armed with a 30-06 and a shotgun and stock pile of ammo. Had it not been for a couple ranchers in the area that went in to help the police there probably would have been more killed. 4 local ranchers that also had long range high powered rifles went to the college and offered to help. The problem was the police only had shot guns and pistols which were totally noneffective with the range he was at. The 4 ranchers took up positions where when ever he raised his head to shoot he was shot at by one of the ranchers. They kept his head down until a few police officers were able to gain access to the tower door. From then on it is history. The police officers gained access to the tower roof and shot the shooter several times killing him. But as far as mass killings look at the gangsters of the 20's and 30's that used Tommy guns to kill many groups of people. The real difference is today there are many more ways for the public to learn about the shootings even as they are happening real time. Weapons have also came a long way in their effectiveness compared to back years ago. Back in the 70's the police didn't learn anything from that college shooting. It was not until that shoot out between those two bank robbers and the FBI that it came to the reality that the police needed to take a new look at what they needed to do to keep up with the bad guys thus shotguns were replaced with automatic high powered rifles in the trucks of all FBI agents cars and soon after came SWAT in Federal and city police departments. Now even with all the advancements in law enforcement they are still protecting the public from behind as long as they continue making so many areas gun free zones.  I have many friends that work for local law enforcement and TBI and I have asked each of them how they really feel about the people getting permits to carry weapons for self protection. Every one of them said the same thing. They think it is a good idea because they all know that they cannot be everyplace all the time and they see the need for law abiding citizens to be able to protect themselves and their families. They said that they know when they are called to respond to a mass shooting that the person involved in not going to be a legal law abiding citizen but in a few cases the shooter was taken down by a law abiding citizen and prevented an even worse situation. They also said those are the shootings you never read about and almost never hear about because they don't want any good news about armed citizens getting out. Yep the Federal elected officials made sure they are protected from a recall vote because they have no intentions of doing the bidding of the people that elected them when they decided to run in the first place for a federal office....... :popcorn: :popcorn:
