  1. I watched Fox news last night right up to and after the shut down came and I watched Harry Reid make several little wise cracks about just 1 small portion of the House controlling the entire House and it was the Tea Party and a few Tea party elected Senators and House Representatives holding the entire country hostage. Now his statements can only mean 1 of 2 things. Either 1 is he is trying to blame the Tea Party for sending these people to Washington or he is saying that the Tea Party is powerful enough to control the direction this country is headed in. Either way he has admitted that in his own pea brain mentality Obama and the Democrats actually are afraid of the Tea Party and how strong it is and what is represents which is the real and actual voice of the people. Ted Cruz is a Tea party supported elected Senator and lets face facts, Cruz is voicing the opinions and desires of the people and the Democrats are voicing nothing but what is best for them and to hell with what the people want. Plain and simple...........jmho
  2. I love the way this administration just grabs numbers out of thin air which by the way always are in their favor and throw them into the laps of the main stream media for them to put on their networks. Last week I was talking to a friend of mine even though he did vote for Obama the first time. He use to have an Obama/Biden bumper sticker on his truck. I asked him the other day where it went. He said he removed it because he was ashamed for anyone to know he voted for him. He said several of his other friends that voted for him the first time didn't vote for him the second time and they all also have removed the stickers from their vehicles. I actually have been looking while out driving and I have yet in the last year or so to see 1 car wearing an Obama sticker on their vehicle. So I would like to know where this administration is coming up with all these great big numbers of people in favor of Obama and his cronies except in the main stream media. All I'm hearing is his numbers are falling, not climbing...........jmho
  3. My father was a WWII vet and I am thrilled that these people showed their class and dignity that they have always had. I salute them for standing up once again against an establishment against all that is good for their country we all love so much..........jmho
  4. When I was in the beginning years of school and through most of high School during Home Room I recited the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag which was a Pledge of Allegiance to my country and not to some dictator or wanna be dictator. Hitler forced people to Pledge of Allegiance also and it was a pledge directed directly to him and not to the Country of Germany and we all know where that led...........jmho
  5. They punish these brave men for doing almost nothing wrong and they do nothing about the troops that are being shot in the back and killed by the very people they are suppose to be training to take over the country when they finally get brought home. What s wrong with that picture? As far as i'm concerned all of our troops need to be extracted out of all of those stone age nations and let them just continue to kill off each other and each one that is dead is one less we have to worry about someday attacking America..........jmho
  6. I have to email accounts. 1 with yahoo and 1 with Gmail and I have not had issues with either one except that yahoo makes changes and slams you with them whether you want the or not....
  7. I think he should have been arrested and charged with misdemeanor for disorderly conduct anyway. He is probably one of those busy bodies that has his nose stuck in everyone else's business and needs to be taught a lesson............jmho
  8. Well Sarah Palin has never be bashful about saying whats on her mind and many times I actually enjoy listening to her speak. She has that plain down to earth language that most everyone can understand. Also she will seldom ever not speak her mind which in many cases is very refreshing....jmho
  9. Very caring thoughts for sure. I salute you and all of your friends for this action. I use to shave my head all the time till I got much older. My first shave was done at a barber shop and done with a barber and straight razor. Once it was done it was really easy to maintain. I learned it's a lot easier to wash your face than wash your hair in the shower. Plus no shampoo cost for a long time......Prayers going out for your friend and also for you guys stepping up to the plate him to show your support.
  10. Okay Look at it this way. Obama said if you like your insurance plan you can keep it.( he did not tell you it would be going up 200%+) He just said you can keep it. He said if you like the doctor you have you can keep them.( he didn't mention that there are about 70% of the doctors opting out of the ACA and many of them are retiring rather than go through all the hassle of the ACA plan) He said that the ACA would be affordable to everyone.( It is now coming to light that there is only about 15% of Americans that will qualify for it) He said you can stay on your parents plan till age 26. ( he didn't tell you that if you do that your parents health insurance premiums would be going up as much as 300% making it unaffordable for them to pay forcing you to get off the plan and buy the ACA plan). His plan is dependent on forcing millions of young healthy people who don't have coverage now to buy a policy on the ACA plan which in turn will be used to help pay for the people up in years that cannot afford the plan. If the young healthy people don't buy the policies as planned by Obama the ACA plan is in trouble. I sincerely hope that all of the young healthy individuals that have never had health insurance choose to pay the $95.00 penality because it will not be enough to support the ACA and it will begin to implode. The American people are now getting a taste of just what this train wreck is going to be by 2016 and some poor sucker that gets elected as President is left to face the train wreck because Obama set it up for after he is out of office before it takes full effect and the train goes over the cliff. Also to add insult to injury he has adjusted the bill so many times since the Supreme Court ruled on the original Bill as it was written that by law the bill should be null and void but yet it is not. He has written over 1200 exemptions to the law allowing many people to be exempted from the program including himself and his family and all of Washington Bureaucrats. If the bill was so great why are the people in Washington exempt?  Just some things to think about and................jmho
  11. Well, I guess the Republicans are getting the blame for everything and Harry Reid called the Tea Party out as the driving force behind all the problems which caused the Shut down of part of Government. In doing so all he did was show just how much power the Tea party is wheeling in this country and it is going to help it grow even grow stronger because now folks are realizing that the Tea Party is in fact the main voice of the people and Reid admitted that last night without even knowing it. I have been a member of the Tennessee Tea party since it began and I am proud to be one. Since Reid's speech last night about 11 PM I expect to see all the Tea Parties in every state begin to grow in large numbers before 2014..........jmho
  12. I think a lot of that comes from the car advertising on TV where they tell you the car will stop on a dime and give 90 cents in change and people are stupid enough to believe it. Tire companies promise the same thing. In all honesty the new anti-lock braking systems actually takes longer to actually stop a car then the old original 4 wheel disc brake system did without anti-lock. If the computer in the new anti-lock brake system even blinks your in a crash so how much do you trust your computerized brakes. I drive old Jeep Cherokees because they don't have anti-lock brakes.
  13. That stretch between Two rivers and McGavock Pike us to be a speed trap from hell for the biker cops. I have seen times their would be 10 Bike cops writing tickets through there. I guess some politician had a stop put to it cause I ain't seen a bike cop in that area for about 3 years now.
  14. Looks like something from Hollywood. Resembles a Star Ship Troopers Helmet with a face shield added.............jmho
  15. Well when all is cut and dried and ACA goes into effect buy the time 2014 gets here and so many folks have got totally blistered by it on both sides of the isle as far as the American voters are concerned they might look at the Republican party and say well you were right and go to the polls with RED in their heads and be bleeding read all the time they are in the voting booth, something like Rowdy mentioned. Surely stranger things have happened. You can bet they didn't expect the Republicans to rebound with such authority back in 1996 either but they did. This train wreck that is coming is going to teach a lot of Americans a lesson for those smart enough to learn from it. I am also figuring that all the freebees that folks have been getting will be gone shortly after the debt deal is done also. That will also make folks bleed red. The GOP make take a few lumps tomorrow from the media but i have a feeling the lumps they get will be just little knots compared to what the people are going to get when the ACA starts driving up their health insurance to unaffordable rates and Jobs move in full blow cut backs because of it.........jmho
  16. well, as I have gotten older my driving has also gotten slower. If I am on a two lane highway I will drive what ever the speed limit is but no faster. If I get a guy riding my bumper I just slow down a little and if he remains there I slow down more and in most cases they get the message to back off or I will be diving at school zone speeds soon. I get dirty looks when they finally get a stretch of road they can pass me in. Sometimes that never happens and they just have to follow me. but once I do speed back up and they are still behind me they remain back far enough for me to see their headlights. On 4 lane divided highways I will always drive in right lane and most times drive 5 to 10 miles under the speed limit and get passed by everything on that highway. I'm never in a hurry to get anywhere any more and I just enjoy riding and driving around. I buddy of mine went and had a bumper sticker made in the mall that read "I stop for all animals crossing the road. Be prepared to stop Quick" He had it on the back of his car 1 week and he had to get a new one when a turtle was crossing the road and he stopped. They guy behind him didn't. They guy climbed out from behind his deflated air bag raising all kinds of hell about the guy stopping because for the turtle. All my buddy did was get the turtle and move it the rest of the way into the direction it was headed and put it off in the weeds on the shoulder and while doing that he was on his cell phone calling the police to report the accident. This guy that did the hitting was still raising hell when the cops got there. Finally the guy got on the police officers last nerve. The police officer told the guy in plain English that he didn't care if the guy stopped to watch a UFO land in a field you cannot hit them in the a$$ so just shut up about it and handed him his ticket for causing the accident. My buddy had to go have another bumper sticker made. It was on a small two lane side street so neither person was going very fast. Speed limit is 35 on that street. But I loved the police officers statement to the guy........
  17. I watch it from time to time but like swamp people better..........jmho
  18. Well I just like to look at things more positively I guess and I just hope that somewhere there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for the country I love so much. I can see that there is a lot of negative views and I guess so many folks have given up on the Country that ya'll are probably right. Just give up and let her go down the tubes. That is all negativity does is drag her down farther and if I have offended anyone I am sorry but I just don't give up so easy I guess.........jmho
  19. Thank you very much for posting this article. Men of his stature deserve far more than they ever receive.  It;s not right but then some  things in life back in the days of Vietnam seldom ever are.......jmho
  20. Ya just gotta hate them stone age bomb makers. They have sure killed a lot of good soldiers and innocent people with them IED's...........jmho
  21. Well I don't want any one in the military to be effected and I don't consider anyone in our military non-essential period so I am sorry if I included anyone military related as part of this. No disrespect to you or anyone in your position but 800,000 is a hell of a skeleton crew..........jmho   I was referring more to people like Obama's dog trainers and people in that levels of employment.
  22. If the Government shuts down and I got furloughed I would thoroughly pi$$ed to be told that my job was Non-essential. That is demeaning, disrespectful and maybe even racist in certain term but what really caught my eye is our tax dollars are paying salaries for 800,000 non-essential positions in Washington!!!!  If they are non essential employees why do they have jobs? And you can bet I hope they don't get any back pay for being furloughed as  non-essential employees in the first place.............jmho.  Now I am speaking strictly employees in Washington and not park employees. I consider them essential for the American people to enjoy our great natural resources. As far as I'm concerned that guy that sits behind that desk in the Oval office and has play like 400 rounds of golf and flies around in Air Force 1 since being employed is the most non essential employee in all of Washington DC at the present time........again.........jmho   Will you notice a government shutdown? Yes, particularly if it lasts a few days or more. If you're one of the 800,000 federal workers who are deemed as non-essential, you will be directly affected immediately and not report to work. But the implications go well beyond Washington. If you're applying for a passport or visa, you will likely be out of luck. First-time home buyers looking for a mortgage will be delayed because the Federal Housing Administration will be closed. And the 401 national parks will be off-limits starting Tuesday morning. The biggest fear for hundreds of thousands of federal workers - and members of the military - will be if they receive back pay. In the last shutdown nearly two decades ago, workers received lost wages. That's not guaranteed this time. And why everyone should care: a shutdown will cost, not save, taxpayers' money. A study from the Office of Management and Budget puts the overall economic price tag for a shutdown around $2 billion.
  23. Well I know I may have opened up a can of worms when I posted that but I think had it not been for guys like Cruz , Paul, Lee and others The Republicans would have bowed to the whims of the dictator long before now. You notice I didn't mention specific back bones, I just said backbones. It was the young guns that pushed the old goats forward and they did move forward so it did show determination by the Young guns to keep their promises to the people when they ran for the offices for which they got elected to. To me that shows back bone and it has sure got Reid and Obama pi$$ed for sure. I just hope and pray that the American people see when the Government gets shut down who actually shut it down and it won't be the Republicans doing what was ask of them by the people. It will either be Reid or a veto from Obama that does it..............jmho
  24. Except for my name on the letter  got the same exact letter word for word and I never wrote him about this issue. I wrote him about the UN Gun Treaty back several months ago and got this.............. :puke: :puke:
