  1.     Your probably right nra about it being gang related since they have had to resort to the kids not wearing certain colors that connect to gangs. The only thing that does not fit the profile of a gang member being involved is the part where the boy took his own life afterwards. I have never heard of a gang member doing that. Not to say it does not happen, I just have never heard of it happening. Normally they take credit for their actions and brag about them...........jmho
  2. Did jumps in military which was required. For those of us that did it in military how many did a  Halo Jump? I did 11 of them during my time in Service and for those of you that have never done one take my word for it. You have not missed anything you think you might like................jmho
  3. I lost my wife back in 97 to a heart attack but I know for a fact that she would not given a second thought to popping a cap or caps in a bad guy. We spent a lot of time at the range and she was a remarkable person and great shot and her first marriage was a very abusive one and she feared for her life many times from her ex. I took all that fear away by teaching her all the facts about firearms and what they are used for and I have little doubt had she been in a situation she where she feared for her life she would not have hesitated 1 second before puling the trigger.........jmho
  4. The issue is probably caused by the demand for 22lr ammo and they are trying to crank it out and doing a poor job of it.........jmho
  5.   The one in Ashland City is called Cumberland Heights and it does have a very good track record for dealing with problematic children.
  6. I had a friend tell me he also had that problem and had to send his back and when he got a new replacement he noticed that the gun was slightly heavier and said that the metal piece that was giving them an issue had been changed to a slightly heavier metal and he said his would also accept cheaper ammo then his original one would. I think they got the issue resolved now but both of mine have always accepted the cheaper ammo with little to no issues and they are a really fun gun to shoot and are accurate for an inexpensive gun.
  7. If I am not mistaken this program was put together by the Organization Of Oath Keepers of Texas but anyone was welcome to attend as long as they followed the guidelines set forth by Oath Keepers........ :usa:
  8.   I think in all honesty any real Conservative Republican that would have a good chance right at this moment would be to smart to not even mention a run. They are going to wait and see what the 2014 mid terms bring before any one with any sense will then either throw their hat in the ring or just keep quiet and keep doing what they are doing. Right now there is so much stuff going on and Washington Dc going in so many different directions and the country going in so many directions no one except maybe Obama and Harry Reid know which way it is headed next.............jmho
  9. Thanks for all the replies. I have a matched pair of Phoenix 22 semi's and I was really surprised and impressed with them. They perform exceptionally well with just about any ammo and both shoot equally well for an inexpensive gun but I am looking at the Bersa's because I want something with a bigger frame but not a break the bank price tag. Buds has one for $297.00 with 10 round mag. I don't guess that is a bad price for it. I may look at doing something the first of the week on this. Again thanks for all the input folks.
  10. I never OC and I have never been asked about my CC. I do take extra steps to try and not print. I wear loose fitting clothes most of the time and if I don't have a loose cover shirt I have a very light wind breaker jacket on. If I am going into an area of Nashville that has a reputation not favorable for any reason I have two CC's and I always have back up mags with me for what ever I am CCing at that time. I know a lot of my buddies that carry and I have observed them in stores and you cannot ever tell that any of them are CCing. We just make it a point not to stand out in a crowd. I have seen a few OC in past year or so and only seen a few prints in Walmart and Krogers.
  11. Thanks for your input. I know about the magazine issues as i have 8 back ups for my two 380 and they are an after market brand that work very well for me and the guns both like them. An FFL dealer from here on the site located them for me and got them and shipped them to me. Not as pricy as Bersa was on theirs. If I decide to get one I will first see if he can get mags for them in 22 cal. Again thanks for the input.
  12. I think that would fall under the category of a blunt instrument so yep, it would be considered a weapon in the eyes of the law...........jmho
  13. LOL..........I might vote for a stray mutt but would have to be a male mutt..........I don't think Washington DC and the country is ready to put a woman in the White House quite yet. I have nothing against a woman politician per=say but the thought of having a Hilliary or a Pelosi in the Oval Office scares the hell out of me..............jmho
  14. Has any one ever wondered why when the government and I mean from small town to Washington DC write a law they cannot just write it in words that any layman can read and understand. They always have to use many words most folks don't understand and even after a layman like myself reads it I still in many cases have no clue what I read. How about some plain English?.............jmho
  15. I agree with all that has been said here. They make laws and then make new laws to back up the old laws. This is a country of laws. I think in many cases when police officers respond to a call, there are cases that the police will charge someone with anything they can think of to arrest them and then charge them with some different when they get to jail. It is not the police officers fault this happens. It is that there are far to many laws on the books for them to know all of them..............jmho
  16. I think it was a great gesture on your part to offer to help. As far as Walmart firing an employee for stopping a woman from being assaulted in the parking lot Walmart should have given him a medal for his action. I think folks in that area should boycott the store till they  gave that employee his job back........jmho
  17. Well the auction close and it go zero bids. I wonder why??????? :ugh: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:
  18. It has been many moons (mid 1960's) since I shot trap so don't know if it has changed any. When I shot trap there was 5 different shoot posts  25 feet behind the trap house which was for the most part under ground. You position your self on your shooting location and when ready you call for the bird. When the bird first is in sight it is moving at about 90 feet a second for about 3 seconds and then begins to slow and drift a few seconds before it begins it's descent. Is that the way they still work these days? Back then I shot a Trap Grade Winchester model 12 Pump 30 Inch Full choke barrel, ventilated rib, glow worm site and Hydro coil Stock. Birds came out of the house in 3 possible directions. We also had doubles matches with 2 birds out of the house at 1 time and you had to bust both birds. I always took the low bird first. Some guys switched guns on the doubles shoots and went with Over/under's. Slight advantage but I still won quite a few of them anyway. It was kind of a shock when I was moved down here to Tennessee at age 17 and saw my first Turkey Shoot. Up north were i came from turkey shoots were done at Trap shoots. We shot clay pigeons. Down here they pattern shoot still targets. I entered 1 and after I shot my first round I was asked to leave and they accused me of using what they called a sleeved barrel gun. I was using the barrel I shot trap with and it was the barrel that came on the gun when I bought it brand new off the shelf. I had no idea what they were even talking about when they said sleeved barrel. A friend of mine told me later that day what is meant. I admit it was a Trap grade model which is not the same type barrel as a Field grade model would have but I paid for a Trap grade model. Yea it does have a tighter pattern and is capable of busting clay pigeons 5 feet off the ground before they hit at the end of their flight but that is what Trap Grades mean. If i would have had the money I would have bought a Pigeon Grade but didn't have the extra $189.00..................
  19. I am thinking about getting a Bersa  22 cal pistol. I have a couple of the Bersa 380 Thunders I love and I am wondering if anyone here has a Bersa 22 cal and if so how do you like it. I have a couple 22 semi autos already but would like to have a little bigger framed 22 cal than the ones I have now and the Bersa 22 has the same frame as the 380. Would like any information I can get if some one has one.....
  20. I like your avatar..............jmho
  21. Actually back when I was a youngster and my buddy and I were shooting trap there were a lot of guys shooting the skeet birds with 20 gauges and a lot of them also used 28 gauges. I bet  a lot of folks don't even remember that they made a 28 gauge Shotgun but one of the best was made by Beretta and it was one sweet gun for sure. A guy at one of the clubs let me shoot a round of skeet with his and it was a wonderful gun to shoot for sure.........jmho
  22. Now I am just guessing at this and remember this is just a guess but maybe they felt safer going off shore to have it done because they don't have anyone in their employ they can trust that would not become a whistle blower on how bad the program may really be and someone like Snowden or Wilki leaks might leak out just how bad it is and let all their hidden agendas and secrets about the program out...........jmho
  23. I listened to it on Hannity last night also and it is amazing that some folks could see the direction of our country 45 or 50 years ago and we see it happening before our eyes today. Red Skeleton predicted back in 1959 when they added In "God We Trust" to the pledge of Allegiance that is would be considered a prayer and removed from schools and he was right about that.
  24.   Yea I agree that most of it is propaganda to a point and yea they said it was glitch and thats what they are saying about the ACA sign on also but that goes to show they they do have the power to just throw a switch and no food stamp cards get any money. I realize that sometimes I post stuff that is propaganda related but I would rather post it as an alert to let folks know what may happen rather than to not say anything and it does happen. What do you think? Should I stop posting it or should I keep posting things I learn that might effect a lot of my friends that may not hear about it in time?   Opinions very welcome either way!!!
  25. Just order polygraphs for every employee that works there and has access to that area and you will find your thief or thieves because they will either fail the test or not show up for it and that will be how you catch them. Thing is you can bet they have already got rid of the merchandise because you make plans to have a buy of buyers ready to take the product before you take it................jmho
