Gosh that would be a tough choice?????????? Sorry but had to do it...............lol

Well I figure it is only going to be a matter of time before one of more of them will get shot because no ones good luck lasts forever. If it did happen to me and I did survive and recover I would make as many trips down that ally as I could until I got my chance for payback but mine will be more permanent. Sooner or later that same guy is going to be there as most gang members have their own turf. they ahve about concluded that most of them are gang related. I have learned one thing over the years and that is to be vigil about not walking while looking down but I am always looking into the faces of who ever I approach so I will know his/her face when we meet again. A buddy and I talked about that today and he ask if I had a death wish and it reminded me of all those Charles Bronson movies and I said well kinda and he just laughed and called me Charlie.

I just went out and checked my sensor reaching and I had to adjust both of them because they were coming on two close to the house and I wanted to to reach out farther. Now I went and tested them again and they will now turn on when anyone gets with in about 40 feet of the house which is perfect for me. I don't want that at my door before the lights come on. I do want to give them a chance to run before they are trying to out run incoming hot lead. I had to laugh when neighbor in Duplex came home a few minutes ago. Our carports are right next to each other and it scare her as she began to walk towards the house and the lights came on all at once. I asked her if she wanted me to adjust them so she did not trigger them on her walk from her car to her door and she said no and appreciated the lights and now she does not have to walk between her car and house in the dark any more.

Well I don't know about big cities any longer because I avoid them like the plague. I seldom see Nashville any more and really don't miss it at all. I have never one to be found in an alley at any time. Never saw a need to go into an alley when there are streets full of people to walk on. Going into any alley in a big city is asking for trouble these days. Even in Walmart parking lots of any other large parking lots I am always vigil about what is around me and will not make myself vulnerable to an attack from any direction if at all possible. I realize that people do have to travel to Nashville or live in Nashville. All I can tell you is stay vigil when your out side the safety of your work place and home..................jmho

This is something I forgot to mention and I don't think anyone else mentioned it but I just did this a couple days ago and I didn't do it because I don't feel secure because I am a good shot with any of my weapons. I did it in hopes of never needing to actually use them. I have motion sensor lighting put on my out side of m home. It now lights up all sides of my home and only cost about $150.00 and I think is was a very good investment. A bad guy depends a lot of the cover of darkness and when that is taken away from him or them they will flee in most cases , I would say 95% of the time flee the area to get out of the light. In the light they are a clear and present target...............jmho

I have given this some thought and I have been in your same conditions back when my children were young like 4 and 5 and believe it or not they are more resilient than most people give them credit for. My two boys ran through one simple drill which was practiced about twice a month and by the 3rd drill it was smooth as a Rolex watch. My code word that I used was scatter and at that point with in a few seconds my boys were both under their beds and not making a sound. I told them in the beginning we were going to play a little game and then once we got it fine tuned I told them that I was doing this to keep everyone safe and they were quite up to learning it well. Now they are grown and gone but I still worry about the same thing you do and that is where my bullet may end up if I shoot someone and have a threw and threw. I fixed that issue just recently. I shoot 380 caliper semi autos and I purchased a bullet called a Hydrashok made by Federal Ammo company for my 380's. It is a low recoil round that hits with a great impact and serious knock down power but will not exit the person shot for the most part. One of my main reasons for choosing the Bersa Thunder 380 caliper is it is a double action gun on first round and then goes semi auto after that and you can have back up magazines loaded and just the push of a button and your reloaded and slamming the action back to do more business. The only time you have to rack the action is to chamber your first round and from then on you just keep shooting as long as you have magazines preloaded. Might not be something you want to do right this minute but might be something to look at down the road. You got a lot of great advice from folks here a lot of more knowledgeable than myself but wanted to give you something to think about for maybe a time in your future when your looking at new hand guns.

That was one great stiff arm for sure and he looks like EC in that picture. Great shot of him for sure and I would be a proud dad also!!

Another buddy of my just stopped in and I showed them to him. He said they are a very good round to use for house protection because of the impact they produce but also said he would not recommend them for a carry gun. He likes ball FMJ for carry purposes which is what I have loaded in all my 380's at present. May fill up two or three of my Llama 380 magazines since that is my house gun that remains beside my bed 99% of the time. Thanks for the opinions as I value what folks here have to say about most things regarding ammo and firearms.

Yea, your probably right about that but you have to admit it would be a great ticket and a great team to have in the White House. Thing is if West gets on the ticket what white person is someone the people would chose to support.............???????????/

It's a shame to know she got here start right here in Tennessee and grew up here. Thing is she is to stupid to see that the only reason people attended her show was for the freebees she gave away and not for her or her personality and beliefs. If she was not giving free things a way they would have had to pay people to just come and be on her show so she would have an audience period..............jmho

Saw that on the other site GT and I said then that I'm glad to see students finally stepping up to the plate and discussing the socialistic courses being taught and forced on students and teachers and expressing his and the feelings of many students for the contempt that both the teachers and the students have for what they are being taught. In the Video there was a few applause's from the teachers for some of his statements showing they agreed with him.............jmho

I also saw him do them in Blood Sport and I thought that was cool back then but it amazes me that he has put on quite a few years and he can still perform that same split is totally awesome. I think all in all it was a cool commercial and I can give credit where credit is also due. It took some really very good truck drivers to pull that off for sure...............jmho

Was over at a buddies house yesterday and he brought out two 20 round boxes of Federal 380 auto 90 grain hydra-shok JHP ammo. He sold his 380 and had no more use for them and asked me if I would give him 10 bucks a box for them. I am not familiar with them and don't know anything about their reputation. They also say they are low recoil. Can anyone give me any input on these. I did go on and buy them from him since the rice tags on each box was $19.95 and I was getting both boxes for 20.00 bucks. Any input into if they are good ammo and something I can depend on and would they be a good round to put through my Bersa's. Any input would be appreciated.

I have always been an Alan West fan and will continue to be one and if he does run he will get my vote. Now with that said I think ted Cruz is a dedicated man and will be a man that works for the people but I don't think he would be presidential material at this date in time. I don't know how many folks know of Dr. Ben Carson but he is a lot like Alan West and has very similar views on how Government should be operated. Is dedicated to the Constitution as West is. Believes in smaller government and is a strong conservative. I know that I may be pushing the envelope a little but I think I would like to see a West/Carson ticket in 2016. It will be a strong Conservative ticket and one I think most Americans might want to vote for. As far as People knowing about Alan West, I think more and more people are learning about him everyday and are liking what they see and let me say this about being electable. How many people knew about this community organizer that is occupying space in the White House before he decide to run? I didn't even know who he was or that he even existed before he announced his campaign and he got elected not once but twice so I think Alan West is far more know right now then that guy in the White House when he ran........................jmho

I bought a 32 inch Vizio LED for my bedroom about 2 years ago at Walmart while on sale for 149.00 and it works great and have not had 1 minutes trouble with it. Have DVD player on it and complete surround sound on it and it works great.

Academy Sports upset me a bit yesterday
bersaguy replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
All I can say you have the patience of a Saint my friend. If that would have been me and I was on crutches just to get into the store and I got treated like that everyone in the store would have known how I felt because I would have found an intercom phone and announced it to the whole store. I don't have that kind of patience at all when it comes to poor service and I don't care what store it is. A few folks here mentioned that it may be because they probably get a 100 phone calls a day. That is not an excuse for employees doing the job they are paid to do and the employer expects them to do. I don't know which Academy Store you went to but the one were have in Goodlettsville here near Nashville you would have never gone through that. They are very quick about answering the phone or if your in the store they an employee will always politely ask you if the can help you with something. I shop there quite often if I get with in 5 miles of it I always stop in just to go to gun section not just looking for ammo but to drool and slobber ll over the counter at the high end weapons I would love to have but know I can't afford.............jmho -
Need smith in Nashville / Lebanon area.

Yea, Sam is not really a people person per say but once you get past that part you will love his work and in most cases his prices.......jmho -
A friend of mine sent me that about a month ago. They are the black leaders of many different black organizations that are mostly located in big cities. We have a few white organizations but they remain behind the scenes for the most part. Masons are one of them, Scottish Rights are another but because they don't make good news items they are seldom heard from. My brother is a Mason is how I know about them.

Many actors from years past were remarkable people. John Wayne, Lee Marvin, Robert Mitchum, Audey Murphy and so many others did serve their country with honors in the military prior to becoming actors. Lee Marvin is buried in Arlington Cemetery in Washington DC. These were people of integrity and honor. Hollywood today is not the Hollywood of years ago. I take what the actors of today say with a grain of salt and just let it roll off my back and go on. There may be a couple out there that are true patriots but they are like many politicians and will either not say anything against the establishment for fear of losing their jobs. The ones that have enough money and don't need to work again that are finally coming out and expressing their true feelings..............jmho

If and that is a very big "IF" we can gain control of the Senate with the majority and keep the House Reid is gone (1st good thing.) Botox Pelosi is gone (2nd good thing) If we can gain the majority in the Senate and keep the House Obama Care or ACA or what ever they are calling it now can be completely repealed but the Repub's better have a plan to replace it immediately upon the repeal. Obama can veto it but the Senate and the House can over ride his Veto and put the plans in play. Then they can begin impeachment proceedings against him and his cronies and he won't be in power his last two years of his term and that would be a bonus for the entire country............jmho

Guess who's going into the gun business November 16th (AR's and 1911's)
bersaguy replied to a topic in General Chat
Yea but you have to remember he is kinda from the Dark Side anyway so why not have a black website that hurts your eyes to read it?..........jmho -
I bought one about a year ago from a buddy that needed some money and asked me if I would buy it and I asked him what he wanted for it. He does have an HCP also but he only wanted $125.00 for it in the original Cedar box and had both cylinders and had never been shot. I told him I would hold the gun for 60 days to give him the opportunity to get it back because I knew he was just in a temporary pinch for funds. After 6 months I called him and he said it was mine and he was not going to get it back. I showed it to a buddy of mine also an HCP guy and he pull 2 Ben Franklin's out of his pocket and asked if that would buy it. When he left I had 2 folding Ben Franklins and he had a Rough Rider with I think the 4 or4.5 inch barrel. It was not something I would go out of my way to buy but couldn't pass on the price.

Proof pretty much the 22 ammo thing is about over
bersaguy replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I hope tanker is right about the 22's. I really have good supply but I know there are alot of folks still looking for them. I would buy more if I get a chance because even though I have a good supply I would like to be able to buy some 22WMR's and 22 lr's and do some shooting again. I have held off doing any because I didn't want to dig into my stock to shoot any.
