  1. I know their had got to be a few bud drinkers here or at least some horse guys so wanted to post this for all who are bud or horse guys. I love these horses and grew up in the town of Lemont, Illinois where the Bud horses are raised.     Hope you enjoy!       http://wallythekat.tripod.com/A_Pages/AA-Videos-YOU-Tube/Clydesdales.html
  2. I do realize it is all up to the individual on their carry preference and it is their right to carry their weapon either way. My choice is to carry concealed because if a bad walks into rob a place while I'm there I don't want him to make me his first target to eliminate a threat that he knows is there. I would much rather he go on and conduct business and I will react accordingly at a safe point while trying not to endanger myself or others in the process. If things escalate my reaction will also to what ever level is necessary to take care of business...............jmho
  3. Illinois has some very crazy laws about guns so I would research it very thoroughly before making any transactions..............jmho
  4. Have you ever had a feeling that when something is said by someone that the person does not believe what he is saying but says it to satisfy his peers. That is the way I see Mark Walberg. I know he talks anti gun but when you hear him say anything about being anti gun he just does not seem like his heart is in it. He does not as far as I know go around promoting anti gun legislation or speaking out for some politician about it. In all honesty I think in his heart he is pro gun and I would bet deep down he is hoping no one ever finds out he may have one or two hid back. I know he has felonies on his record which says legally cannot own one but how many other people are out there just like him that own them. I think he is saying what he is saying to keep working in Hollywood. A lot of the people that are pro gun and have spoke out about it are either old enough to not matter if they work anymore or they cannot find work any longer and that goes for the younger pro gun folks in that speak out. Of course this is.................jmho
  5. If the Libs had their way the old Daisey lever action BB gun I have would be included as an assault rifle.............jmho
  6. I just went and order all 3 disc's of it from NetFlix and should have them by Monday
  7. I have been using Cricket Broad band for about the last year or so. I was on dial up and broad band was like a rocket ship speed wise. I have cricket phone Service and two broad band units on two different computers here at the house and my bill for all is $83.00 a month with no contracts. If you have Cricket Phone service in your area it might be something to look into. You get like 2048 bps per month of high speed and when you go over the service slows down but you can still use it at no extra charge. I have only went over 1 time in over a year and i am on line a lot..............jmho
  8.   I really do agree with yo on this issue for sure. Just look at Bohner and Reid. The House sends bill after bill to the Senate for a vote and they just lay on Reid's desk in the ignore folder box because he is the one that decides on which bills are voted on and which ones are not. I don't think he or any other Senate leader should have that kind of power. I think if a bill is sent from the House to the Senate the Senate should hear the bill and vote on it in 7 days or it automatically passes. That would prevent all this BS about the crap that the House has not sent a budget or the House has not presented a health plan. This House has sent several hundred bills to the Senate on these issues and Reid trashes them in file 13 and never brings them to the floor for a vote. To me Reid needs to be put in file 13 along with all the bills..........jmho
  9. I do my best not to buy anything I know may be coming from a scalper and I can normally tell by their price if they are one or not. The ammo's I buy are only for guns I have so I pretty much know what should be a fair price for it...........jmho
  10. Well , I guess you can take a the Yankee out of the north but not the north out of they Yankee. It said I was born in upper Illinois near a town called Aurora. I was raised in a town about 25 miles from Aurora for the first 17 years of my life and since then I have lived in Tennessee and I am 65 now.
  11. I don't understand how folks can brag about Cracker Barrel gravy. I have had it 3 different times with a meal and to me it does not have much of a taste at all Really kind of bland like hospital food. I have one less the 10 minutes from my house and have been there 3 times n 14 years and that was just to meet with someone for a lunch or something and that was their choice and not mine......................jmho
  12. Wishing everyone on TGO a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!!!!....................
  13. I read that last night in yahoo news that she had passed away. Prayers go out to the family as they have been going out from me since the shooting. It stated last night that he shot her at almost point blank range which I don't think had been reported when it first happened. If that were the case her chances of making it would have been slim to none at best. We all know how much damage a 12 gauge can do at point blank range. I am not wanting to be negative in this but I ask myself, had she lived what kind of quality life would she have had. I am well versed in head injuries as I watched my son die along slow death over a four year period after his auto accident and brain stem damage and his quality of life was about 12 to 15% and declined to  his death. I don't believe there can be any more punishment a parent can suffer than to watch a child die a long slow death knowing you are totally helpless to protect or do anything to help him/her get better. Knowing what I know  now about her injury I feel she is in a much better place and at peace and even though it will never go away the family will at least be able to grieve, get closure and move forward knowing they did their best for her while she was with them............jmho
  14. I have never wanted a hot tub but for short time back years ago I rented a house that had a jacuzzi tub in it and man did I enjoy that tub after a long day at work. I would come home and run a tub of hot water and climb in and let the bubbles and jets run a solid hour and man did I sleep great after an hour in it. Very relaxing for sure. If this place had room to put one I would have had one put in years ago. Now with the possibility of a move in my future, If I move into my father in law house behind my daughters place I am definitely going to have one put in............jmho
  15. Well, I have always said it is better to be pissed off than pissed on unless your into the Golden Shower thing!!!!..............jmho
  16. Lights flickered a couple times here in Gallatin last night and I had all back up lights in place just in case. Got some pretty bad winds for about 30 minutes and rain was blower from west to east but front was a fast mover and from the time the wind arrived until all clear came in Gallatin was about 40 minutes total. After that is was just rain. Went out and checked the roof and trees and no damage......................
  17.   No but in all honesty my buddy did....................
  18. That was not even an argument. That was just Charlie Sheen proving to the world that he has smoked so much Mary Jane that he has next to zero brain cells functioning. He is also calling the kettle black because he also got booted from 2 1/2 men for his stupidity and not for saying anything about any one....................jmho
  19. Kind of sounds like them folks at A&E may have struck a nerve in one of the editor writers at USA TODAY for sure. Great article and thanks for posting it.........jmho
  20. I'm cooking a ham for Christmas dinner and Kasey( My dog) is going to get the bone and probably some of the ham for Christmas. Does that count?..........
  21. If I am not mistaken contracts work for both sides and if A&E made the first step to void the contract by removing Phil from the show over an issue not directly connected to the show itself that, I would think open the door for the entire family to walk away. Of course it depends on how the contract was written but surely it would protect both sides or they would not have signed it..............JMHO
  22. I think I have all I need but then how many guns does it require to protect you and your home. I have 5 semi auto  pistols in 2 different calibers and 2 long guns both in 22 Mag WMR. I would like to own a 20 gauge semi auto shotgun with Improved cylinder barrel for OO buck or slugs but other than that I'm  comfortable with what I have. I have shopped the 20 gauges some but everyone must think the ones they have are layered in gold with the prices they have on them..........jmho
  23. Back when my wife was alive there was a nightlight in every room in the house and I swear she had better ears than the dogs cause she would hear things that would not even make the dogs bark but yet I had to get up and go check the house. I real miss doing that cause I miss her........... :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:
  24. Who knows? This all may have been a plan by the Robertson's themselves to try and break a contract with A&E itself. I mean here is a family that already had plenty of money and a TV show and after learning what A&E was all about and figure out it was not all it was suppose to be they may have decided to just dump A&E and go back to their old ways. After all, they are country folks first and maybe they just got tired of everything in their lives being public...................jmho   No time to Duck hunt!!!!!
  25. If it was not for people like Mr. Snowden we would probably still not know about it. I think it is important that our Government does try and protect our country from terrorists and they like to throw numbers around about how many terrorist attacks that have prevented with their spy games but we have not heard about any of the ones they prevented except for the ones that normal folks exposed like the Time Square bomber and the Shoe Bomber and oh yea, the Underwear Bomber but again, they were caught by just plain folks but only after all the bombs failed. All their spying they were doing didn't stop the shoe bomber and the underwear bomber from getting on those planes. They didn't stop that guy from parking that SUV in Time Square. And of course we know they didn't prevent those brothers from setting of the bombs in Boston. So I would like to know just which ones they did stop with all this invasion of privacy they have been doing? ..........................jmho
