I have a feeling that folks seeing all those stupid people standing in line may have made many more folks all the more determined to not be that stupid. I know it showed me just how stupid some people can be and I will never be standing in a gun line unless it would be to buy another one..................jmho

They had to take my neighbor to hospital by ambulance the other night. They thought he was having a heart attack but it turned out to be the flu. He is still in hospital and his family have been at his house cleaning everything in it and using Lysol spray on everything for when he comes home. The last two trips to my doctor last two years she has been out of the flu shots so I had her write me prescriptions for some strong antibiotics and I take one a day just like a vitamin to boost my immune system. So far it has worked. I guess I could go to Walgreens or Krogers and get a shot since they both offer them in their Pharmacies. Hope yall make it through it ok cause from what I hear it is some really nasty stuff................jmho

Well, I have never heard any laws or rules on registering any guns carry or not carrying in Tennessee. I could have shot 100% very easily when I was shooting in the class to get my HCP but I placed 1 round outside and shot 98%. I also heard about the shooting expert to get your carry permit so I shot 98% and place 1 Lawyers bullet outside the profile. That way no DA can challenge my shooting as expert and it gives my lawyer that defense. GOD knows I hope it is never needed..........................jmho

yep, hunted the Delta a few times back years ago and rabbits were everywhere and much larger than average cotton tails around here. Folks down there called them Swamp Rabbits and once they did jump they would out run the beagles really fast. The guy I hunted with didn't use typical Beagles. He used a larger dog called  Fox hounds which had longer legs but looks almost like a beagle. Had a great few hunts down there back in my younger days.

He is building his Legacy and wants to be known as the worst President in the history of this country and the Republican Congress is helping him is why he is still in office.  I can only hope we can make all of his dreams come true in that Legacy in 2014 elections and make sure he is the only President to go to prison where he will have plenty of time to write his life's story...............jmho    Yea, I know  I am dreaming but I don't think he has written an EO yet that outlaws dreams?.................... :ugh: :ugh:

I see so many flaws and holes in that you could not strain boiled potatoes through it. All it is going to do is stop people that really need help from seeking the help. Also most mental hospitals will probably not comply with it or will with hold a lot of information that they feel is an invasion of patient / doctor confidentiality. Also, don't we already have background laws on the books? Every time I buy a gun at a gun shop or Gun Show they run one on me.  Also I can't help but wonder why they thought they had to add that last part about Gun Trafficking being a Federal Offense. I thought is was already a  Federal Felony Offense and if that is true why has Eric Holder not been charged with it and already in the Graybar Hotel with big Bubba?  ..................jmho

In all honesty I wonder how many liberals are in those lines in CT that are registering their firearms. I'm guessing not as many as there is conservatives. I find liberals like the approach of               "Do as I say and not as I do."  a lot more than the other way around..............jmho

Bread is about the best thing I have found to remove the hot sting of very hot peppers. Plain old white bread is best but most any loaf bread will do. back several years ago I use to have a garden and I grew some Habanaro's and cyannes(spellings) for a buddy of mine that likes to put it in his chili and Jambalaya when he makes it and he makes some killer in both. He makes me some but pulls mine before he adds those and just has the chili peppers in mine. I use to love the real hot stuff but can't eat stuff that hot any longer. If my health will permit it this year I think I will put in another small garden this year. Give me something to do to full some down time plus have a bunch of friends that I could grow food for that don't have the time to grow their own. My Pepper buddy always paid to have a guy come with a tractor to turn the ground in early Spring and I grew all the food and bought the plants and seeds. I hope my health will allow it....................jmho

I grew up in upper Illinois west of Chicago for the first 17 years of my life and no one time can I ever remember them closing the schools for a snow storm. The buses ran and picked up kids or kids walked to school if they lived close. I took my drivers test to get my license in 5 inches of new snow. I call the Drivers license Center to see if they were giving tests with the new snow the night before. The man said yes we are open and yes we are doing drivers tests. Then he followed that up with if you live up here and you cannot drive in snow you don't deserve a license. I used my dads 1960 Ford Stick shift 6 cylinder and went and got my license that day and passed with flying colors. Dad always put steel studded snow tires on his car for winter. Now that was back in 1962. Since then the technology has improved tremendously as far as snow removal and until this year Winters have been warmer. Now Mother Nature decides to show all these so called Global Warming Green House Gas Know It All's that she is still the boss and everyone in the northern portions of the U.S. that should be prepared for what is happening now, Well, they have been listening to the Know It All's  to much and now are caught with their pants down and have their panties in a wad about what people should do to prepare for it. I read this morning that 9 people have already died from the storm. I am sorry for the loss of life because of it but I believe like the boy scouts and even though I live in Tennessee I stay prepared for Ice and snow. I have back up heat systems and back up cooking arrangements and back up lighting in 2 different power sources and plenty of food. I could probably hold out at least a month before I would begin to worry. Except for a National Catastrophe causing a power loss I'm fine......................jmho

Gotta love Global Warming.  First we hear on news that an Ice breaker ship gets trapped in all the Global Warming and now  we hear about football games in the North country may be as hot as -25 degrees due to it. I guess those scientists on that ship have finally learned all they need to know about Green House gases to be convinced Global Warming may exist someplace but not where they think it is. Maybe on Mars or even maybe on the moon but Mother Nature here on Earth is giving some lessons on who knows more about the subject. It is suppose to be 4 degrees here at night and not get above freezing except one day in next 7. Hope everyone is able to stay warm during this bad weather.................jmho

I seldom watch DD but did enjoy these first series Duck Commander when they were filmed actually hunting and giving hunting advice. I am quite sure that back when they were not stars they were not hunting with Beneli Shotguns but probably maybe Mossberg's of other reasonably priced guns. As far as their gun builders, who is to say that Beneli was not offered a deal and turned it down because they didn't want to lower their name grade by lowering their gun class so the average Joe could afford one. Mossberg would be the likely builder to make a more affordable gun for the average duck and goose hunters. Now with that said, I don't agree with everything that is being done from either side when it comes to the marketing programs. I have a feeling there might even be a lot of pirated products out their with their faces on them that they have not even been aware of. Like someone mentioned about all the stuff at Walmart wearing their faces. I'm guessing a lot of that has been done in China by pirate companies. People getting on the free ride so to say while their popularity rises. Things like this have happened many times before and will happen again............................jmho

I put both my boys through the Hunter Safety courses also and my youngest son put both of his boys through it before letting them hunt. It is a great course for the beginning shooter and like vontar mentioned above. Does not matter if he plans on hunting or not. Good course for sure.............jmho

I don't think it would make any difference if a million birds (Pheasants and Quail) were released it would just be more food for the Coyote's and Foxes. I gave up hunting Rabbits and Quail many years ago because I had some great Lemon Drop Beagles and we could hunt several different large farms and my dogs might strike once or twice all day once in a while. I can remember hunting them 40 years ago and have a limit of rabbits and birds before lunch. Until they get the Coyote population under control small game hunting is going to be tough............jmho

All this time they have been preaching gun control and now all of a sudden they are realizing that citizens that are on the scene when i begins can end it much faster with much less lives lost. Note how careful they were to not mention armed citizens but the story pretty much speaks for itself what they are talking about..............jmho
