I had an issue with both of my Bersa's failing to lock after last round and had Sam look at them and it turned out to be the after market magazines. Sam did a little adjusting on them and problem solved. Now they lock every time on every mag.

I do plan on going up to Sumner Gun and Supply with him when he gets back in town and let him shoot my Bersa Thunder 380 to begin with and if Sumner Gun Store has any others he can shoot I will make sure he gets to shoot as many as they have they will let him fire some rounds through. I want him to get what ever he is most comfortable with that fits him. He's an Army Ranger and I'm sure he will be able to find the right one for him since he has shot several 1000 rounds in both combat in Afghanistan and on the range on base. Thing is he is time limited on how long he will be home so will have to move pretty quick once he gets home.

Sounds very much like the same kind of break in that took place in Hendersonville at the N Range gun store. Smash and grab type of hit and they only took Semi Autos in that one but Pawn shop probably didn't have as big a selection to chose from. Hope they catch all of the bas--rds and jail them for life..............jmho

Now your talking. I had a TCP 380 and a buddy talked me into selling it to him and I have kicked myself a dozen times for ever selling it. That was one of the things I was looking at with the PT92 was the fact it says it's a double action which is what my Bersa's are and I love that fact about them. Was also one of the main reasons I bought 2 of them at once. I cannot believe the Bersa Thunder 380's were about $219.00 when i bought them and now they are closer to $300.00 just a few years later. I love my greanson a lot but he will never get to see my pride of the 380 line. I have a Llama 380 ESpecial lemon squeezer that everyone that sees it falls in love with it so it will not be fore his eyes.............

I do plan on taking him to the range up here at Sumner Gun and Supply when we shoot my Bersa's as I have two of them. Liked them so well when i bought them I bought a pair. With that said, I know the 32 is dying breed and I have told him I was doubtful I would even be able to find a large frame in a 32 caliper any more. The one I bought for his wife to carry while he was out of town on tours of duty was not new but almost new and came with 3 boxes of ammo and had a great price on it but like I said it is a ladies guy and pretty pink......lol. I can't even remember what brand of gun it was but they went to the range and it performed well for her so I guess that is what counts there. Since they broke in their apartment this weekend he wants to have a back up gun in a mans size. For when he is at home on leave or for when he gets out, if he gets out. Right now he is on injured reserve from a night jump accident about 2 months ago.

Well, I saw better times in our country when the Republicans held the Senate and that is fact. I don't like Lamar either but if voting for him will help win the Senate I will vote for him. I know a lot of people think the House is not doing anything but in all reality they have been working their butts off trying to just keep our country together. They have sent over 1000 bills to the floor of the Senate that would have helped our country rebuild and Dirty Harry and Botox Pelosi has not allowed them to go to the floor for a vote. They are scared to death a few democrats might vote for a few of them and that would never work in an Obama administration. A lot of the good things that came out of the Clinton White house (and I know this will make some folks mad) came because Newt Gingrich knew how to work the Senate and House so they would work together. Say what you want about Gingrich but the man is smart when it comes to politics. I know I will get beat up on for saying that but if you look at his political record and not his personal life you could see it. He made Bill Clinton look real good. Good enough he got elected for a second term even with the Monica scandal. Oh yea Gingrich also did use the old Reaganomics program that was laid out for the older Bush to use but never did and he lost the election for his read my lips slogan rather than putting the Reaganomics program into effect. Gingrich knew the plan was a good one and he laid it out for ole Willie and wild Bill jumped on it. Reaganomics was put together by a Republican Senate and House. That is what we need again............jmho

The one I am looking at comes with a 17+1 and a 19+1 mags so should be enough to cover that issue. If a guy can't hit his target with 38 rounds throw the gun at them and run like hell the other way..........jmho

yea i know it weighs in at a hefty 34 oz. I just can't get turned on to the fat squared off Glock looking firearms. They just all look bulky. I am actually doing this as much for my grandson as for myself as he is also looking and he also said he does not want anything remotely Glock looking. Are there any suggestions of other brands of firearms I might look at. He is going to be back in town for a few days and I am going to let him pop some caps from my Bersa Thunder 380 to see if he likes it. He first said he wanted a 32 caliber because that is what his wife carries and he would only have to buy one caliper of ammo but he does not like his wifes gun because it is a smaller framed ladies gun. I told him he was not going to find a larger framed 32 caliper any longer. At least to the best of my knowledge no one is making a 32 caliper big frame semi auto?????? He said a 380 or a 9mm would be fine. He is an Army Ranger in training and they carry 9mm sidearms so he is relatively familiar with 9mm's

I still believe he does and I am 65 and will be 66 in 7 days. Just because you have never seen something does not mean it does not exist. I have never seen GOD either but I believe in him with every breath I take and all my heart and soul so why should I not believe in Santa..............jmho

I am looking at moving up a little to 9MM. I have been looking at several different models and i am now needing any input folks may have on a Taurus PT92. Have never owned a Taurus so can some folks here give me some input into this gun. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He needs to fire the guy that programed his teleprompter............................    . -
Well, I am sure that the world was not aware of the big data base that was storing all the phone conservations of people all over the world either until Snowden snitched it out and the data base for keeping all gun purchases would not require half as much space as the NSA was using to store the phone calls but they were able to do it. As far as trusting our Government???? Well that is another issue which I won't discuss at present.

My Grandsons apartment was broken into over the weekend in Smyrna and they stole his wife's laptop, his guitar, and several other items like small Tv's. They didn't get his wife's gun because she had it with her. He is in the Military and in SC right now. They didn't get his Harley that he has stored in the extra bedroom but only because he has the keys with him for it and steering is locked but they said they tried to get it cause it was moved from where it was. I don't know how something like that can happen in broad daylight in an apartment complex and no one see it happening. Not one witness saw anything. Heck I live in a small triplex and no stranger can walk anyplace around here without someone asking them if they can help them with something. I guess it's just a case of no one wanting to get involved. They are looking at having an alarm system installed also that is monitored and has camera's now that they know he has that Harley in the bedroom he is worried they might come back. We watch for each other here at my house................

Do you honestly believe they delete your back ground check if your gun purchase is approved? On the back ground check the seller has to list the make model and serial number of the gun you are purchasing to do the back ground check. Why do they have to do that if they are not keeping the records? The background check is suppose to be on you and not you and your purchase............jmho
-
They are not tied to your license plate but if a LEO is following you and he runs your plate it will give him your name and DL number and then he can run your name and will be informed at that time you have an HCP.. They can find out in a matter of just a few minutes if you have an HCP. Anytime I travel which is slim to none anymore I will always check which states I will be passing through. If they are states known to have very tough gun laws and I want to avoid any possible issue I will change my rote if possible to avoid that state. Also it is smart to check reciprocity in that state to see if they honor TN HCP's......................jmho

Ok, since I am not to smart on all these high tech gadgets. I am now with Netflix and get about 10 or 12 movies a month. Sometimes more. Now with that said. Does Amazon offer a similar program like Netflix?

Yea, I guess you may be correct but I think it will take more than a video to convince and truly Anti 2nd Amendment person to change their mind. It will take a live experience that happens to them before most will actually begin to see the real truth of wha we are saying..............jmho
-
I think it was an interesting video but did she really say anything that 99% of all gun owners don't already know? I think most of the folks here already knew all these facts. For those who don't it is very informative................jmho

I grew up in Illinois and it's true about Illinois. If you get 50 miles away from Chicago going west or southwest you do get into an area of the state were the more conservative people live. Mostly good ole farmers and country folks much like folks down here. They are friendly and wave at each other while driving down the road passing folks sitting on their front porches or out in their yards. Now when you get around Springfield it kinda sucks again but then that is where the politicians are located so you can expect them to be stuffed shirts with attitudes bu for the most part other than those two areas folks are pretty much nice folks.................jmho Never been to NY and don't have any plans on going. I do know a few folks that ahve moved down here from upper part of NY state like around Buffalo and they seem to be fine folks and they moved out of there because they don't agree with the politics either.

"She thought she unloaded it"
bersaguy replied to RobertNashville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
you never ever think you unloaded your gun. You make sure you unload it and not by pulling the damn trigger. That should tell folks about the intelligence of elected officials for the most part..............jmho -
I would for the most part mind my own business also. The only real issue is that she is bragging about being armed when in fact she is not. That alone raises red flags. That is why I would never report a minor that says they have a gun on them because you report it and it turns out he/she does not have one, that could come back to bite me.....................jmho

in all honesty I sincerely hope he does quit making his violent movies because when he does people will quite paying big money at movie theaters to go see them and his pocket book will suffer and the NRA will continue to grow. This movie they are about to release will only make many more people aware of how good the NRA is and their membership will grow from the free advertisement from the movie..............jmho

Well, we just got back from an empty parking lot at Hendersonville Expo. He got pissed. Not because they cancelled the show but because they did not update it on the internet and it still showed that they were having it today. I told him that word was it was cancelled but he had to prove it himself. Made the trip worth while anyway cause I need a few things from Sams so we stopped by there and I got what I needed so not a totally wasted trip anyway.............
-
Well, I guess I'm going to the Hendersonville Gun Show tomorrow. My buddy just called and invited me to go with him. I thought they were not having them any more but he says they are................jmho
-
Well since I have never been a Meryl Streep fan to begin with You can bet I won't be going to that one anyway. It will probably be the total end of her career as i believe she was already on the way out anyway. As for the Movie. I'm quite sure it will get some attention and probably turn more folks on to the NRA and help sign up more folks for it. Normally when ever there is something negative said about the NRA their memberships grow. Many folks thought that the statement Charlton Heston made right after the Columbine School Shooting would hurt the NRA but in fact it grew after he said it. Folks finally realized the NRA was not an organization that would be pushed around...............jmho
