  1. I have read a few similar issues pertaining to Glocks. I had a buddy suffer a similar incident with his Glock.  He had it holstered in a very old and stretched leather holster and while getting in his car a part of the holster was lodged between the trigger and the holster and his Glock discharged shooting him with just a graze to his hip area and bullet passed through the car seat and floor board and into the asphalt in his driveway. Needless to say he bought a new holster shortly after that and I think he even traded the Glock for a gun with a manual safety on it. Think there was even an article about it on a gun site but cannot remember which one it was he posted it in.
  2. Man it's been a long time since I say vinyl 45 turning. Brings back a lot of good memories.................
  3. I guess they found out that they could not afford ObamaCare while married so they are divorcing to be able to afford health insurance...........jmho
  4.     I have had that happen a few times and I contacted the seller and I learned that when that happens it is because they have other dealers that handle the same stuff that is almost next door to you and they drop ship it from that location but you still pay the full shipping price. Great big rip off but that is the way of the world these days. Back when i had my bait business for about 14 years I sent everything by priority mail with tracking. The last couple years I began shopping shippers to find out who was cheaper or that week because all the shippers were using flexible pricing and going up and down with fuel prices. In the last two months before I sold my business I made an order of baits for an angler in Piedmont, SC. I weighed the package on a set of postal scales and when I got to post office I shipped it priority mail and package weigh 3.11 lbs and it cost  $9.96. The same guy made another order a week later and I went through the same procedure and package weighed  3.09 lbs and it was $13.70 to same exact and less weight. They charge what ever they want to on any given day and like I said, That is the way of the world these days. Glad I am out of the business and don't have to deal with them any more..................jmho
  5. I truly don't think they are breaking in to steal the guns to sell. I still think it is gangs that are arming themselves better. It's just happening to often for the guns to be sold. They are taking them for another purpose. Thing is there has not been any mention of ammo being taken. Just guns I wonder how much ammo may also be taken since in most cases ammo is about as hard to come up with as guns are in many cases and unless they plan on using them for clubs ammo would be needed..............jmho
  6. last night they ahd a great story about the Apache Attack Helicopters and it covered everything from the first ones to the ones they use today and they showed a new chopper coming out soon that travels at 280 MPH and can actually fly backwards. It was awesome to watch it. Still in the prototype program but military already wants it........
  7. There have been far to many break in's of gun stores recently for it to just be a coincidence. I'm guessing they might be gang related and that the gangs are getting armed better. I doubt you will see very many of these guns show up for sale. I agree that it was a nice thing to help get the information out here on the site...................jmho    I also agree that is you do not have a very secure building with top of the line security system with very good video surveillance on site then the hand guns should be put in a safe....................jmho
  8. I have been watching the military channel for last couple weeks since Comcast up graded my channel listings for a year for free and it's a very interesting informative channel. Watched it last night and they were showing many of the new weapons available to the military. Man things have sure come a long ways since I was in for sure..........jmho
  9. That is an Autozone brand battery I think and I have heard descent reviews on them but never owned one.  I use Deka batteries in my Jeep and Stowaway batteries in my boat and have had great luck with both.  Maybe someone else will be able to provide more info on the Duralast Professional Series soon.
  10. I am also looking forward to Spring this year. i operated a Hand Soft Plastic Bait business for past 15 + years and it really took a lot of time away from my fishing time. I sold the business about two months ago and I am looking at doing some serious bass fishing this year. In past two years in think my Skeeter has only been in the water about 10 times. I am planning on that not happening this year. For any of ya'll that fish bass tournaments my son in law is operating two different trails this year for Heartland Anglers which is probably the ultimate in partner tournament trails with a huge Classic in October each year with a Ranger Bass boat as first place prize. If anyone is interested in learning more about his tournament schedules I will be more than glad to send you the information or you can visit Heartland's website and see more about the many different trails they have in Tennessee.  Son in law will be holding events on J. Percy Priest lake and Old Hickory lake. His two divisions are # 8  and # 14  in Tennessee. You will meet a lot of great folks at these events. if you have any questions you can PM me here.
  11. Sounds like someone screaming fire in a theater may have taken place or may have been a test to see how the police reacted. Someone may be doing dry run leading up to future plans. They really need to investigate this closely and locate the source if at all possible.....................jmho
  12. yea and i knew about the one at Purdue yesterday but that one ended with 1 dead and shooter surrendering to police. they said in that one that the person killed was evidently the target and once it happened there were no more shots fired and no one else hurt. the shooter surrendered to police soon as they arrived with no other incidents.
  13. Now in all honesty it may just be me but I really don't see al that many people OC'ing or I am just not paying attention. The few I have seen looked very proper in the way they represented them selves and we all polite. I have seem many more people that print than I have that open carry. I carry concealed all the time and do my best not to print but that is just me.
  14. Prayers coming in from here in Gallatin for your father and your family. My father also had it and he beat it and went on to live another 10 years before being taken by a heart attack so don't give up on him just yet. Things to treat it have improved a lot since my father had it.........
  15. This is just my opinion but I wonder where the backbone went in most of the American people? I remember when I was just a kid living in a small town and when the local elected officials did something the people in my hometown didn't like they would gather together and make a trip to the town hall and have a long hard drawn out discussion with the elected officials and in most cases what the officials did quickly got undone and went away. Did that way of doing things die when out parents and grandparents died off.  I know the youth of today in most cases have no clue what life was like back when I was a kid growing up because they have re-written all the history books. I never forgot my roots and both my sons and grandsons have been taught about their grandparents and great grandparents and what they believed in and they live those same roots. If the parents and grandparents don't begin teaching their children what life is suppose to be like and not as it is right now they will not learn anything except what the LEFT wants them to know and nothing more.............jmho
  16.   I won't argue that fact because there is a good chance the perp might just move on but I'm just not willing to OC and find out............jmho
  17.   Maybe but I think folks in the South are just not that type of people and I am old enough I doubt I will be alive when laws like that happen here...........jmho
  18. Well, I have my own opinion about open carry but I won't judge anyone on their decision either way. It is their right either way. My self, I never carry open except in my own yard. I have always thought if I were to ever be in a situation of a robbery taking place, if the robber enters the place and does walk through to see if he can find any guns he may have to deal with I don't want to be his first target when he makes his move. An open carry person may very well get shot in the back of the head to eliminate the threat before he makes his move to rob the location. I would rather be the guy that may be the person that prevents folks from getting hurt by taking the perp down before he can hurt someone but that is my opinion. Like I said the OC CC is up to the individual and not up to me to judge.................jmho

  21. A great public relations video and a great LEO for taking time out to pitch the ball around with young boy. That boy will remember that for years to come and probably have much more respect for the police in his future..........jmho
  22. The way I see it, as long as we allow the Democrats to hold the Senate and block every bill the Republican House sends them the more down hill our country will go. If things do not change in the Senate in the elections this year that will give the Obamination the time he needs to finish destroying our great nation. I do not plan on just sitting back and putting my head in the sand and awaiting the outcome with out doing my part to try and change it for the better................jmho
  23.   Believe it or not the Glock is the only gun he said he will not buy nor will he buy anything that even remotely is shaped like a Glock. He does not want a fat bodied bulky looking firearm so is it is a square block looking gun it will not even be considered by him. He said he has seen them and they profile a lot when concealed carry. He has spotted many of them on people while just walking around in stores and knows it in most instances they are Glocks. My other Grandson owns a Glock and loves it and he is a deputy sheriff in Cheatham County. Difference between them is he weighs in at about 325 and the one looking for a gun is weighing it at about 160. He has handled the Glock my big grandson carries and it is not for him.......
  24. A friend and I grew up hunting rabbits with beagle hounds. I had one and he had one and we would hunt with both dogs. There we many times my dog would get lost because John Henry was a slow tracker while my buddies dog was faster but would lose the trails many times due to his speed and he would over run them or hole the rabbit. John on the hand tracked much slower and seldom ever lost a scent trail and his range would be much farther out. If he didn't return by dark and was out of range for me to hear him I would take off a few pieces of clothing such as cotton long sleeved shirt and maybe even socks and leave them by a tree. I would blow my whistle several times and the we would load up his dog and go home. Every time I went back the following morning John would be sleeping on my shirt and other clothing I left for him. Had John 15 years before he passed away. Was the best beagle I ever had for hunting in my life..........JMHO
  25. Gosh, they would have a field day if we had that same ordinance here in Gallatin. I have at present time 8 tube type bird feeders up ad just filled the this morning because weather is going to make it hard for the little feathered critters to find food. I also have 4 squirrel feeders with I also filled this morning so they could have full bellies on these cold nights. I go through approximately 125 lbs of bird seed a winter and at least 150 pounds of whole kernel corn and nut mix for squirrels a winter. I also have a buddy with a large oak tree that produces huge acorns every year and I take my shop vac to his home each fall and will gather about 50 to 75 pounds of acorns to mix in the corn nut mix. I really enjoy watching the wild life in my yards and as far as that ordinance up in Pennsylvania, that s just a ridiculous program at best. The animals are GODS creatures too, just as are humans. Should we also quit feeding the hungry less fortunate humans also?.................. jmho
