I have a 22WMR Marlin bolt gun that I wish has a synthetic stock on it now but back years ago when I first bought it the wood was fine and it still has beautiful wood on it but as I have gotten older I would like to be able to tote something lighter then it is now with the wood. I love the gun and the set up the way it is for shooting and it;s kinda like if I can see it I can hit is accuracy on but Just would like something lighter. I just had a Savage 93 that had the synthetic stock on it and it to was a stainless Bolt gun but weighed about 1/2 what my wood gun does. I was very tempted to begin building the 93 into the shooter the Marlin is but before I could make up my mind I just decided to sell it and it went to a new home. I might look at going synthetic on my Marlin if there are stocks out there for it. If I do I hope it shoots as good as it does right now...........jmho

A buddy and I went out yesterday just to get out and go check out ammo supplies in stores. Went to 5 different stores. Dicks, Academy, BPS,  NRange, and Gun City and asked each one for 22 LR. Got zero ammo but got a different excuse at each on. Clerk at Dicks said he never knew when he would be getting any and when it showed up it showed up in a shipment. Academy clerks same story, Gun city said they placed one order for it back about a year ago and when they get them they get about 10 boxes of the original  order and still have not gotten the original order filled yet. BPS says they get it about once a week but never get more then 50 boxes and it is normally gone by noon or 1 PM that same day and they do have a two box limit per person. NRange said they get a few boxes in from time to time and also have two box limit and it never lasts the full day.

Well, since we are on the topic of Children and schools let me add a few things I am really getting sick of hearing over and over and over by politicians and that is education and our Children. They have been using our children as pawns in their election bids and campaigns till I'm sick of hearing it. They talk real big about what they will do if elected to promote more and better education. Well, I am a high school graduate and even though I am not in a great financial shape now that is not something that can be helped because my son had an auto accident. I won't go there but most know about it. What I will do is go into prior to his accident. Like I said I graduated from high school, went and served my country almost immediately after graduation and when I came home I got a job as an auto mechanic since I always had a love for cars and loved working on them while in High School. I worked on every kind and brand and model of cars and light truck made for almost 37 years and the last 12 years of my high school education and hands on experience and no further schooling I was earning over $100,000.00 per year. Owned my own home and land, own my own small business repairing cars and light duty trucks, employed 5 people plus myself and didn't owe any one anything. Yep, making that kind of money on a high school diploma and hard work. My youngest son now owns and operates the shop on yep, a High School diploma and he has enlarged the business adding services I didn't offer and now he employes 8 people plus himself.       All I hear these days is everyone needs to go to college out of Obama's mouth and everyone needs to be in debt with the burden of Student loans even before they can get a job in what ever career they may have chosen while in College. To help them along he has made student loans easier to get but made the jobs those students will need when they graduate 10 times harder to get when they do graduate. He keeps saying that the Private Sector are the ones responsible for creating these jobs but then burdens the private sector with huge taxes like OBAMACARE to try and drive those very Private sector jobs out of business so the jobs are not there for the graduates. Like I said in the beginning of this post. I am getting sick and tired of our children being used as pawns to only improve their own personal political careers. I have come to the conclusion that any politician that uses education and our children as a platform to run on will NOT get my vote period regardless of party. If they run on an economy and creating jobs and making sure those jobs are there for our children platform they will get my vote!!...............jmho  

    Been to all three and grew up in Chicago and best thing my folks ever did was move me to Tennessee. Believe me when I tell you that you have not missed anything at all by not going to any of them and when I went and then left each one of them I made 100% sure I didn't leave anything behind that we ever make me want to go back......................jmho

Except for a few very stupid Democrats such as Kerry most of both sides of the isle have said for many many years that they will never ratify this treaty that the U.N. has been proposing for many many years and you would think by now they would get the message that the United States will never ratify this Treaty so they might as well just quit asking................jmho

Since i try to drive the speed limit f 5 MPH under it most of the time I have never had that I can remember another driver flash their lights to me. As far as flashing my bright lights at on coming traffic. If I have a driver approaching me and they are driving with their high beams on I will flash mine as a request for them to lower their high beams to enable me to see the highway better. That has been a tactic that has gone on since I first began driving 51 years ago and I didn't know it was against the law in Tennessee to do it................jmho

According to news there was alight fog last night because News 5 copter was going to go up and cover the scene and soon and it went up it landed right back down because of visibility. They also said he missed the John Tune Airport and was making a turn to try it again when it went down. They credited the pilot for being able to not hit any buildings and taking any more lives. Thing I did not understand is the News had people at John Tune and they said there was no one there waiting on the people on the plane to arrive and there was only on employee at the airport at that time and the run ways were not lit. Sounds kinda strange but I am sure they will figure it out. If not they will make something up!!!

From what I got out of it is the guy that originally had the gun before selling it was also not suppose to have a firearm either so I guess it was one bad guy selling another bad guy a gun. My question to that would be where did he get the gun he sold?  Gonna go back and read it again.

In all honesty I have been a Sea Hawks since back when Greg Zorn , that southpaw quarterback played for them back many years ago and have been ever since. I kinda of knew when all the bookies in Vegas and Atlantic City had the Hawks picked to win that they had a good chance to do so but I never expected a blowout like that one. The Hawks Defense and Special teams score more points the their offense did I think.  I also think that the first play of the game rattled  Peyton Manning really bad and he never was able to overcome it. I think it;s time for Peyton to become an announcer for the NFL or do more Buick commercials.............jmho   I did think most of the commercials totally sucked. I liked the Bull Commercial and of course the Puppy Budweiser commercial but then most animal commercials seem to come off well at sporting events.............jmho

I don’t know how many folks here are movie goers, I for one am not but I have been noticing one thing that is changing and that is the length of time many movies spend in theaters before becoming available on DVD’s. The theater stays are getting shorter and shorter even more the ones that would have been considered great Box Office hits 5 years ago that would have remained in the theaters for 12 to 15 weeks are now only in them for about 6 to 8 weeks before they begin advertising them coming out on DVD. Is it that Hollywood is dying on the big silver screens? Is it the price in theaters driving folks to wait for DVD’s? How many folks believe it has a lot to do with the really Big Screen Tv’s now on the market? Myself I think it is a combination of several. Has Hollywood lost all of their talented writers and as folks are seeing more and more movies that are now remakes of movies made 10 years ago? Like Robo Cop is being released again and in the past couple years there have been many remakes of older movies. Do they think that because the technology has improved that is will improve the movie? I do realize that they are performing for a newer younger audience but with all of the TV networks running thousands of reruns even the newer audiences have seen them before. I personally try avoiding any movies that have certain stars in them best they are to far left in their beliefs and I refuse to rent them or go to the theaters to watch them. Others are worn out on TV reruns. I guess I have seen Iron man 1, 2 and 3 advertised on Fox every weekend for last 6 months. Same way with Transformers. Fox is wearing it out also every weekend. Just how long to they expect to keep an audience attracted to the same old thing? Would like to hear others opinions and ideas……………..jmho

He mentioned in his SOTU speech last week of again closing Guantanamo. I should think that would be easy. Just dig a very large hole and then line them up against a wall and send all of them to collect their 71 virgins. Put them in the hole and cover it up and bring our troops home from Cuba.   Are you sure Pappy didn't fly a P-40 Tomahawk later called a War Hawk since as best I have researched over the years that was the only planes  that wore the Tiger Shark face through out WWII and Korea. The P-40 was always my favorite Fighter Plane in WWII and Korea. Not As fast and  sexy as the Cosair's and Mustangs but more durable in most cases.  Has away one been paying attention to last year when Obama shut down the fly overs for last few NASCAR races and the football games that private owners took up the plight and are flying Mustangs and Corsair's in the fly overs. There has even been a B-17 in a couple of them. I am also hearing rumors that there will be a full flyover at Super Bowl today of several different styles of Helicopters approved to so flyover at Super Bowl later today and a few of them from 101st out of Ft. Campbell.   I have also did some research on the Tuskegee Airmen and according to history they flew everything for the P-39's all the way up to all 3 of the P-51, B, C, and D. I'm kind a WWII buff but still like P-40 best.................lol....................jmho

Sea Hawks fan here for a few reasons. First off Peyton already has Super Bowl Rings and SeaHawks have only been twice and never won a Superbowl so they deserve a win so GO SEA HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I have or had a neighbor that also flies a Helicopter around the neighborhood here and several folks have expressed a concern over it but and a few have called the cops but by the time they arrive the chopper is already back home. My next door neighbor made a video of the helicopter cruising around his house and even in his yard. Last time the police arrived they got to view the video and asked if they could have it and he said no but handed them a dubbed copy of the video and said but you can have this one and he told the officers that next time it showed up at his house his 12 gauge would be putting it down. The police told him they would not recommend that because he could be arrested for discharging a firearm inside city limits without just cause meaning life in danger reason. They took the video back to the station and actually obtained a warrant against the owner of the toy and served it on him on invasion of Privacy, disturbing the peace and Trespassing on private property. The LEO's did a back ground check on the guy before seeking the warrant and found out this was the 4th time a complaint of a similar type had been filed against this guy. 3 of them at his former residence location. It was why he moved from Hendersonville to Gallatin. He lost his toy and the judge told him he could not have it back, fined him $500.00 and told him he was never to won another type of device or next time he would do jail time. About a month ago the guy moved to parts unknown..........
