So what is fair enough for the American people to have shoved down our throats is not good enough for the Wicked Witch of the West to get choked on???????? I say whats good for the goose is good for the gander and never support something that is liable to turn around and bite you in the butt!!!!! She is no better than any other American but I guess she might have a lot more dirty laundry to hide than most Americans also...........jmho
  2. The news is getting tired of the politics so now they are writing about anything and everything just to fill space on their new pages. That is what boredom does to reporters after they get tired of SOS all the time.....................jmho
  3. I just put my renewal in the mail this morning. Hope it does not take to long even though my existing permit is good through 6/5/2014.
  4. A higher power had those laws trumped before they were written. The Constitution and 2nd Amendment in the Constitution is a much higher authority when it comes to gun laws than any state or local laws and just writing slippery slope laws against it only in my mind makes the writers of the laws the real law breakers when they try to undermined the LAW OF THE LAND written 2 centuries ago by much smarter Americans.................jmho
  5. Ok but that is depending on the passenger also having an HCP or the passenger should not be armed to begin with. Correct???????
  6. Man that was sure a can of worms huh?..................................
  7. Well ok I'm lost now but that is nothing unusual for me. Ok , Here I go jumping in. Now we are talking about safely keeping your firearm in your car while going into a gun free zone or for any other reason. You have a passenger that also has an HCP and he is also armed but he cannot legally leave his firearm in your car along with yours locked up out of sight????????????
  8. Well I found my buddy another truck and he is going up and get it in Bowling Green KY Wednesday evening. Got to actually talk to the seller on teh phone and meeting the guy face to face to make the buy... I and another friend are going along to watch his back in case the deal is not a deal at all but something else. We will all be armed and ready for anything that may not go as planned. Guy is in military that is selling it so we are hoping it is on the up and up and every goes as planned.
  9. The law of carrying a weapon for the reason of going armed in Tennessee is directed at the entire populates of the state and they have provided us the option of getting an HCP so we all can be legal as long as we are not felons. The laws written in CT are directed at one class of citizens, one class of weapons and one class of magazines which makes these people criminal felons. That is why the laws are more than unconstitutional but may ever fall under the law of discrimination against a certain class of people. I know that may be a stretch but since the law makers up there didn't mind stretching I won't either.....................jmho  Now if you look at the fact that the State Police are not willing to enforce the laws written at the state level they have got to understand that the laws are unconstitutional or they would not refuse to enforce them...............jmho
  10.   I don't know if I would do that or not. May lose the ability to buy more if  he gets to asking to many questions...................jmho
  11. A buddy of mine was getting ready to send the MoneyGram to purchase a Ford Ranger XLT and I told him to let me look into it before he sent the money. I checked with eBays security Department and this is what they sent me back and my buddy didn't send the money but we did report it to eBay security and sent the all the information the seller and fake eBay paperwork and eBay said they appreciated it and they will pursue it.    Bersaguy eBay   Alert: Auto scams on Craigslist eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection covers only certain vehicle transactions that are completed ON eBay.com. If a Craigslist seller "promises" you eBay protection programs, walk away. It is fraudulent. Learn more. Common warning signs:     A great deal that sounds too good to pass up     Seller can't meet in person because of a number of reasons (i.e., they are a soldier in Iraq or they left the vehicle in a "local shipping company")     Seller claims to have made arrangements with eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection or Finance Centers     Seller requests payment by money wire via Western Union or MoneyGram
  12. Well, I don't know that much about the Examiner but I was expecting something similar to show up sooner or later. The Police Officers took an oath to protect the Constitution and the Constitution Trumps any local or state laws written in an attempt to over ride the laws laid out in the Constitution. By refusing to enforce the laws written at state level the State police have the protection of the Constitutional oath in which they took when becoming State police officers and also they will earn even more the respect of the people they are paid to protect....................jmho
  13. That is very funny for sure. Loved it!!!!!!............................................
  14. I am only 66 , gosh ONLY 66........... :ugh:  and I don't apply to a lot of this but I do have the manners and up bringing's mentioned and I remember the stories my father spoke of while he served in WWII which were not often so I guess I qualify as a Jr Ole Fart  but I thought folks would like to see just what it takes to be an official Ole Fart.................
  15. Glad you were not hurt with the optima accident and glad to see you found a very nice replacement for it. Nice Upgrade...............
  16. Still chalk one up for the good guys and it does prove that the system that is in place does work even though the Anti gun folks say it doesn't............jmho
  17. They do learn when the hot lead hits them square in the chest. I think they call it on the job training, they are on the job and the homeowners are the trainers and bad part is the homeowner does not receive hazardous duty pay for the training they provide.................jmho
  18. I never really liked the terminology "Old Farts" but this makes me feel better about it. And if you ain't one, I bet ya you know one! I got this from an "Old Fart" friend of mine! OLD FART PRIDE I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only old fart receiving it. Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see.     Old Farts are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem. Old Farts remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.     Old Farts remember World War II, Pearl Harbour , Guadalcanal , Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam .     If you bump into an Old Fart on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Fart on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old Farts trust strangers and are courtly to women.     Old Farts hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.     Old Farts get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies.     Old Farts have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren.     It's the Old Farts who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.     This country needs Old Farts with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values.     We need them now more than ever.     Thank God for Old Farts!     Pass this on to all the "Old Farts" you know. I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.
  19. I could not make up my mind which pictures to choose so just posted the link of Military Cemeteries in France so folks can make up their own minds on subject.......................jmho   https://www.google.com/search?q=american+military+cemeteries+in+france&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=958cU5-WHobyyAH4ooCYDA&sqi=2&ved=0CDwQsAQ&biw=1152&bih=675
  20. One of my favorite BARS................................
  21. Yea, I may have the dates wrong but I was drawing it up from memory and mine ain't all that good any more but I wanted to bring it up because I thought it was kind of funny when he told that guy at the gate that he could not find a Frenchman anywhere at the time kind of rubbing his nose it the fact that American's liberated France in WWII. Now with that said I do have a lot of respect for the people in France. Has anyone ever looked on line or been to France and seen how nice and neat and clean they keep the American military cemeteries up over there. They are kept in pristine condition.................jmho
  22. Since we have been discussing passports in one the  threads this story came to mind.     Back several years ago a bunch of teachers both active and retired where taking a trip across Europe. There was one relatively elderly gentleman on the trip and when they reached France the older gentleman was looking through his bag for his passport. The Frenchman at the gate was growing very irritated with the older gentleman and he said you should have had your passport ready. The older gentleman said he was sorry and again the  gate keeper repeated that he should have know he would need a passport to enter France as that has always been a requirement. Finally the old man looked up at the gate guard and said well last time I was in France was 1941 on a beach and funny thing is I could not find a Frenchman anywhere to show a passport to back then. The gate guard got very quiet and calmly waited while the old gentleman found his passport. Complete attitude change took place. Funny how things are forgotten till they are brought back to someone attention huh!!!! I read that and I had to laugh because a buddy of mine happen to know the old gentleman that was on the trip.
  23. Thanks for the update. I have never needed one as the only time I traveled out of country was while in military. I just know a friend of mine told me he had to renew his pretty soon and I asked him if he was planning a trip and he said nope but one never knows these days and I said that's true............jmho
  24. That would never work here. Remember School buses like schools are GUN FREE ZONES but I like the idea................. ........jmho
  25. I thought after learning of the two stolen passports it may have been a bomb but then I looked at the dates in which the passports were taken. One 6 months ago and one 2.5 years ago. The one that was 2.5 years old would have been out dated and should not have been approved for flight yet that person was apparently on board according to the passenger manifest and so was the other guys that was stolen 6 months ago. Everything about the subject seems blurred and will probably take some time to sort out and no telling if they will ever recover the black boxes.........jmho
