  1. Stupid does as Stupid is.       Just another admitted Democrat showing off his true stupidity to the entire world.................jmho
  2. the Russians have always thought they were far superior to us in their training of their troops and have always felt superior in their Special forces but in reality we are the superior forces at all levels and deep down inside they have known that for ever but would never ever admit it. They have this thought in their heads that numbers count so by having a huge military force of many soldiers that make them superior. Shear numbers don't win wars. Smart well trained soldiers at all levels win wars..................jmho    At one time back around 1940 it was said that the Chinese could have armed their military with baseball bats and send them into battle and they would have come out victorious just because of the shear numbers on men and children in their military amounting to over a million soldiers in their standing Army. Those days ended with the atomic age because a couple well placed nukes could wipe out almost all of their army. Like I said , Shear numbers don't win wars. Intelligent soldiers win wars...............jmho
  3. They were not all Black as I watched it on news tonight. There were several Hispanics included in the mix so I don't know that it was a real totally Black issue. It was more like a minority issue and I think the news media and Obama made it a Black thing.  I do think very strongly that Lt Connors more than anything else does deserve  a MoH if anyone does. I'm actually surprised that Reagan missed him or it was never brought to his attention or I am sure Reagan would have seen to it that he received one. I think the issue needs to be kept alive and we all should write our respective elected representatives and request that Lt Connors receive the honor he has more than earned.............jmho
  4. Sure glad I don't like Salmon anyway so no worried about it...............jmho
  5. I will not say anything negative against him and his church or followers. They will all have their day in the court of the most powerful judge of Judges and I will not want to be judge by him for judging another human being. He said "Judge less yea be judged" I there fore will not form judgement on any man for I am far from worthy of that privilege.........................jmho
  6. I have ben shooting a shotgun of some form or fashion most of my life and I have used about every size shot available at one time or another. every time i bought another shotgun new or used I would pattern the gun with every shot load from # 8 shot to 00 Buck. Both high brass and low brass. I would shoot at 25 feet , 15 feet and 10 feet and then at 25 yards. Of all the ammo I found to be the most effective in 2 3/4 inch version was # 4 high brass duck hunting loads. For some reason it didn't matter what type of gun with a barrel of 25 inches or more it was the most consistent pattern available. Then as I increased to the 3 inch magnums I found that at the same ranges the BB high brass was the most dependable at holding a true proven pattern. I used that for my duck hunting and goose hunting until they outlawed lead and went to bismuth and that was about the time I had to quit hunting because of my shoulders. Now with that said. If I am able to find a shotgun in semi auto or double barrel chambered in 2 3/4 I could afford I will have high brass number 4 shot in the gun and maybe a few 00 buck shot as back up in stock sleeve.................jmho
  7. I only have one auto pay bill and that is netflix. I pay all my bills either on line or with a check each month. I have never really put that much trust in the auto pay programs even though my bank has told me that they will protect me from any possible abuse of it I just don't have that kind of trust in utility companies and other people having access to my bank accounts.............jmho
  8. Mine is a Dark Wolf also know as a Lone Wolf because for a long time I was like a Lone Wolf and I have always admire Wolves for their ability to survive in some of the worst of conditions. They are one of the true Survivors left on Earth...............jmho
  9.   Yea and the manufacturers finally decided to a no contest decision and agreed to allow a few of the very high tech companies to purchase the information because they were on the verge of losing the entire lawsuit under some type of Monopoly Clause. That was why the scanner my son bought cost so much. It has all the up links and programs in it to scan all foreign and domestic automobiles and trucks through 2014 and even reprogram the new components he installs on the new cars to be compatible with the cars computer system. The manufacturers decided at that time to just extend their vehicle warranties to 100,000 miles which keeps most new cars out of the independent repair centers till the warranties are expired. That is when the sticker shock sets in on the vehicle owners that keep their vehicles beyond the warranty period and have to have them repaired and pay for it. The manufacturers still have a real PONZI scheme going because they still have  most all rights to all the computer components that may be required to repair the vehicle in an independent repair shop protected with copy rights. That means that repair shop is forced to go to the dealer for the replacement parts. It's very hard for the independent shops to try and save folks much on the repairs but most are still less costly then going back the dealer for a repair after the warranty is expired I am wondering how many people know that in most all the 2012 and up vehicles foreign and domestic the computers are actually the entire printed circuit dash board and if you lose any part of the dash board controls you have to buy an entire dash board.  It is almost cheaper to buy a new vehicle than a new dash computer....................jmho
  10. Well, that is why I quit working on cars and trucks back when I did. Back in the early 80's I told my self when cars and a trucks got smarter than the people that work on them I would retire. I officially retire from working on them on May 1, 1995. Now if anything breaks on my Jeep, I have a son and a grandson that are both ASE Certified Master mechanics and they get the pleasure of working on dear ole Dads Jeep. My son had to buy a new scanner about two months ago that set him back close to 3 grand just so he could program the transmissions he rebuilds on these newer cars to make the transmission compatible with the rest of the computer system in the vehicle. I was down at their shop (my old shop) when a customer came in to pick up his VW Beetle that my son built the transmission in. When I saw the guy begin to pay the bill I had to sit down. $4,186.95 and the guy was thrilled because he told my son all the other shops he got estimates from it was over 6 grand. I ask my son after the guy left how come it cost so much and he said three of the computer components in the transmission were burned out along with some internal damage. The computer components had to come from the dealer and cost over $2,100.00 by themselves. He said that was cheap. He built a Jaguar 5 speed automatic overdrive that ran over 7 grand because of some hard parts were damaged and the parts had to be imported. Man I remember back when I could completely rebuild a turbo 400 GM tranny including torque converter including R&R for $575.00 +tax out the door and folks complained about that going :panic: :panic:  that's to much .......................
  11. Maybe they should have gone higher up the ladder and got and Order of Protection rather than just a restraining order. Not that it would have made much difference to an agency that thinks they are above the law to begin with but it does carry a harder sentence and penalty if in fact the company can file charges for violation of the court order which probably won't happen..........................jmho
  12.   I do to but I have been looking for one. I just need to find a semi auto because rotators cuffs in my shoulders won't allow me to operate a pump action any longer. I need that or a double barrel I can afford. Either one would be fine.
  13. Well, I think any medication over the long haul will damage you somehow. I just know that drug companies spend millions of dollars to produce pain medications designed to help people not suffer serious pain especially as they age because when they were young they drove their bodies like freight trains with blind regard for the future which I was guilty of when I was young and dumb. I raced circle track cars ,had some serious wrecks and some serious fun and then I was a mechanic for 35 years and would work 6 days a week to provide for my family and I literately wore my body out along with beating it up. If I knew then what I know now I may have done things a lot different but hind sight is always 20/20. Now if I wake up on any day and I am not in serious pain while getting out of bed it scares the hell out of me cause I think I have died. If I raise my arms even close to shoulder level the pain begins almost immediately and I have to lower them. My fishing days are about over because standing up trying to fish and operate the trolling motor lasts about 30 minutes and I either take a pain pill or trailer the boat. Most times I trailer the boat because I don't want to drive a boat or drive home shortly after taking a pain medication so I grit my teeth on the drive home and take my meds once I am at home. Now they say I cannot have the meds and my doctor and I will have to talk Monday and see what she has to offer as a replacement. A couple of my friends that were on the same medications just got their new ones and their doctor is prescribing them 10/275 Hydrocodone tablets. I have spoke with a couple of them and they said they work but just takes a little longer. As long as they work I can give the more time to kick in. Thing I don't understand is they are still giving a patient 275 Mg of Tylenol instead of the 500 in the previous ones folks were getting so just what has the FDA accomplished in this. Any one that wanted to could go buy a bottle of Tylenol over the counter, take a pain pill and one Tylenol tablet and have what they were prescribed in the beginning........................   I don't plan on doing that if my doctor writes me the 10/275's. I will just let them take a little longer to work. I am not in that much of a hurry to do anything any more..............
  14. If it is a rumor then by all means please delete it. It was posted on another gun site and thought it might be important. I am not a reloader so do't know that much about powders. Back years ago when I reloaded shotgun shells I used Hercules Red dot is all I know about gun powders and that was 50 years ago.
  15. Nice truck.........................

  17. I began using a product called Fluid Film back many moons ago on the advice of an old man because I was having issues with my high end bait casting fishing reels when it was cold outside. They were very sluggish and short casting. I cleaned my reels and applied the Fluid Film and I don't care how cold it is the reels performed perfect. I ask him about using it on firearms and he said he has been using it on his for many years with zero issues so i cleaned all my firearms and lubed them with Fluid Film and they have operated flawlessly every time............................jmho.
  18. Well, I called to get my prescriptions refilled as I do every month for the last 10 years only to learn that they cannot refill my pain prescriptions that I have been taking  as needed for last 10 years. All of a sudden the FDA decided that they are harmful to patients and ordered them pulled from all drug store shelves. So now I need to go back to my doctor early to see what else is available for me. The only issue I have is they could have at least waiting for such time as all refills were made before pulling them. I had heard rumors that folks that were on them have their doctors as mad as their patients about this. I now have to go on Monday and see my doctor about what she can recommend as an alternative to what I have been taking. The product I was taking contained acetaminophen which is Tylenol. I thought back when this product came on the market to replace aspirin  as a pain reliever it was suppose to me the miracle drug of all miracle drugs and doctors praised them. Now they are not good for you. What a surprise, NOT!!! This is done far to often. I listen to all these advertisements of all these new medications on TV and when I get done listening to all the things it could do to kill you and then they add the most common side effects I could puke. It seems that about every thing they offer can make people prone to suicide regardless of what the drug is designed to treat. I think it might be the governments way of getting people to request the drug from their doctor and once they get it the Feds can use it as an excuse to possibly come for your guns once on it because of the suicide side effect of the drug. I would not put it past them. I told my doctor a long time ago to not ever attempt to write me any scripts that have those side effects of I would find a new doctor. She has been my doctor for 15 years now and she is totally against drug companies practicing medicine without a license which is all they are doing when they place ads on Television .................jmho
  19. My Grand son is a Cheatham County Sheriffs deputy and his assignment is jailer and he is a good one. He is about 6 ft 3 in tall and weighs in at 300 and when he is on duty the jail area is always very quiet because he has had to deal with a few of them from time to time and the regulars have learn to respect him and when he gives them an order he seldom has to repeat himself....................
  20. Thanks for all the posts and I will be going and I will be armed.......................
  21. I don't know how anyone could look into that face and not become attached to him right off. You can see the joy in his face and I know he will make you a good friend. Thanks to you and your sister for being caring people..................
  22. I'm sure I fit into many of these categories but memory has issues but I do remember while out hunting as a young man and there was snow on the ground and I had to pee I would write my name in the snow knowing it would be gone when the snow melted. I don't have long term memory issues and can remember everything I did as a kid. That is why I think I fit in may of this list..............jmho
  23. I have short term memory issues since I had a small stroke in 1997. That was the only effects I have suffered since having it so I have a house full of posti notes and the only issue with them is I have to remember to read them. I have found it to be useful for somethings. Like TV programs and movies. I can watch a movie and then watch it again a few days later and it's like I never watched it the first time but after watching it several times all the fun is gone......If I have something important I really need to remember I have a pocket tape recorder and I will record things like doctors appointments and paying bills and other important things and I have a posti note on the center of my computer that says listen to recorder  and I do that each morning to see if I have plans for that day. It works quite well for important things............jmho
  24. Well, I will admit I have no clue as to what happened to the 777 Boeing aircraft but I am sure sooner or later we will find out. I gave up watching any news about it because in all reality they will be the last ones to learn it's true fate. The Airline company and families of the passengers will be the first to learn it's fate and then the news medias will be briefed. I feel for the families and the unknown but not anything for the news medias.............jmho
  25. I have owned a pick up truck all my adult life buying my first one while a senior in High School and have owned a truck of some type ever since. Own one now but seldom drive it ad really don't know why I even insure it except for a time that my Jeep Cherokee may be in the shop and need to go to the lake with the boat to go fishing. I also will loan it to friends that may need to haul something if their truck is in the shop. It's nothing special. 1990 GMC 1500 Sierra with 4.3 Lt motor that gets great gas mileage with auto trans. Truck has 170,000 miles on it.
