Well going to a bar while armed and drinking alcohol has always been illegal already so thats a gimme. Schools are also a gimme because they have always been "GUN FREE ZONES" and in all honesty and I ain't proud of it but have not been to church since wife passed away so can't speak on Churches But if I am not mistaken was there not a decussion a while back about those fancy coffee houses I can't afford to shop at first posted no guns and then reposted to no open carry do to business loss. Mind is going cause I can't think of the name of those Coffee joints. Probably because I ave never been in one........ :hiding:

:panic: I honestly thought that Matthew Brodrick with the help us the US Military Killed GODZILLA on the cabled bridge in New York City a year or so ago. It seems I have see him killed at least 20 different times in my life. Does this mean King Kong is going to make another 100th come back too???? It is truly a shame that Hollywood has lost all of their writers and the only options left is to do remakes of previous remakes of past remakes and still in the end the dragon and the big monkey still bite the dust again and again and again............. :hiding:

I been thinking about the Open Carry bill they just shot down last week and I have been wondering something. We all know that some of us do fudge sometimes when approaching a posted business and we need to just go in and get something and right back out while carrying concealed. If they would have actually passed the open carry law I wonder how many more businesses would have went posted? It stands to reason if they don't want concealed carries in their place of business surely they would not want open carry in there. With that said many businesses have probably never given it a second thought about how many people walk through their doors every day with a concealed weapon. Now considering how many businesses are posted no guns for concealed carry if they went open carry how would any stores have any customers if they don't even want concealed carry customers?????

Yep , they sure did OS. When I looked today it was on weekly special page and it's gone now. Buds must have someone spying here...........
-
Yep that is the one I was looking at but I did miss the folding grip. Sorry for making that mistake. I bet without that folding grip that gun would be a handful in the Mag series.............jmho
-
Buds has that exact gun on sale with 1 5/8 barrel with all bells and whistles for $212.00

That is why I do avoid businesses posted because if I do go in one I do still carry many times except Federal building. Reason being I do not want to be faced with the same issue the young lady in Texas was. Had she had her gun with her instead of in her car the outcome may have been much different and her parents may have survived. I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6 for being stupid..............jmho

Normally if I am going to be leaving my house I will have one on my belt concealed with a loose fitting light wind breaker or loose cover button up shirt. If I am at home and out in the yard in shorts I have a pocket pistol on my person. In my house there is 1 or more guns all around the house including bathroom. None in plain sight but I know where they are and there is an extra loaded magazine with each gun. That includes when i am away from house and packing I have at least 1 loaded back up Magazine. Paranoid Never!!!!!!! Cautious always!!!!! I went out today and I was unarmed for about 2 minutes to mail a package in post office.

All jokes aside about this Chinese stuff. I was feeding my Kasey those Waggin Tails Chicken Jerky and she loved it and I was buying it in bulk at Sam's. I went to Sam's one day to stock up on some things including her jerky. Not giving it any thought I put 8 2lb bags in my cart and when I got home I was getting stuff put up and what the hell did I see but the words MADE IN CHINA. I got out a bag I had purchased the trip prior and it said Made in USA. I called the 800 number to talk with them. I ask the lady on the phone when they began getting their products made in China and she said that they just started and the new products just hit the shelves in stores this week. I ask her why they moved off shore and she gave me the most lame excuse I have ever heard. She said they were having trouble locating enough chicken in America to continue making their product because of demand. She said we have our own quality control people in the plants over there so you can be assured that the quality of our product won't change. I said maybe not but I won't be buying any more to find out. I made a special trip back to Sam's to take the junk back and get a refund. I go my refund and told the manager at Sam's how disappointed I was in Sam's decision to continue to carry the product. I went over to the Jacks link Jerky and read the package and saw nothing about China and bought five 1lb bags and went home. Since then I have been doing the research about the Waggin Tails reports and dogs are getting sick and dying on the damn things. It is causing many different illnesses and killing dogs and right now I think they are tied up in over 100 lawsuits over people suing them from everything from very high Vet bills to loss of a family pet. Maybe Waggin tails should have called Tyson and ask about buying some chicken and staying on shore in America. That is why I recommend that every one become a label reader and if it does no specifically read Made in USA or Made in America don't buy it because it is probably made in China and the company is hiding it. Also don't get tricked in the labeling either because there are a few out there that say Packaged in America. Ok so it's packaged in America but where is it made??????. I did hear an ad on TV the other night about Milo dog treats and back several years ago it was made in China but the other night on the ad on TV they said it was made in America. I don't know whether to believe them or not but maybe their sales was suffering so bad by being made in China that they came back on Shore and are making it here. I am going to get teh number off one of their products and call them and do a 3rd degree on who ever answers the phone and tell them before hanging up that if my dog gets sick on their products they can expect to be sued and wait for a response. If they tell me they would rather I didn't purchase their products that will tell me what I need to know.................jmho.

Always choose a memorable password! A lady helps her husband install a new computer. Once it is completed, she tells him to select a password, selecting a word that he'll always remember. As the computer asks him to enter it, he looks at his wife and with a macho gesture and a wink in his eye, he selects a word: mypenis As he hits "enter", to validate the selection, his wife collapses with laughter and rolls on the floor in hysteria!! The computer had replied: TOO SHORT- ACCESS DENIED!

I had a long talk with my vet back about 10 years ago when it was first discovered that China was poisoning dogs over here by putting dangerous chemicals in the dog foods and dog treats and I quit using anything made in China period. Since after spending about 3 hours at Petco reading labels I drew the conclusion that human treats like Jacks Links had to be safer for Kasey. I contacted Jacks links by phone and we had a long talk about where they got the materials they used to make their products. the answer was Canada and the United States. As far as her snack biscuits she only gets Alpo Squares made in America. Her dog food when she is fed dog food is Pedigree which is made right here in Franklin Tennessee. That was the dog food my Vet recommended. Most of the time I cook for her and myself. I buy Chicken breasts in 10 lb bags and will cook them in a large Crock pot and most nights she will get two chicken breasts and 2 nights a week she gets dog food. I figure I can eat the chicken also and I can eat the jacks link Snacks also so works out fine. Sam's has 1 pound bulk bags of the Jerky and ever so often they run $3.00 off it per bag. When they do that I stock up on it. I'm just waiting now to see how long it s before China starts poisoning Americans with their food products. They caught them back about 5 years ago with those little travel tubes of tooth paste when people were getting sick and after testing the product they found out that China was putting Ethanol Glycol which is the base product in auto anti freeze in the small tubes of the toothpaste. My guess was that was just a test by the Chinese to see if they could get it passed without getting caught and if they would have they would have began using it in more products made for human consumption in he United States. Since then I have become a serious label reader. China has tried to get the Food and Drug administrations permission to remove the MADE IN CHINA from the labeling of food items for humans here and to date they have denied the request. I am guessing that China may have already began doing it to see if they can slip some things through. That is why I seldom by many store brand products and never buy the off brand products that don't have labeling where it tells where they are made. A few of my friends have called me paranoid. I say better paranoid then hospitalized for being stupid...............jmho

Yea I know that the heads are same to a point and yep, these lighter cars would make 426 w/ 425 Hp a hand full. I did own a 1970 Cuda 440 six pack with 411 rear gears and Hurst 4 speed and it was no slouch by any form of imagination and the new Challengers remind me of that car in body style.......jmho

What do you do when you encounter a posted business?
bersaguy replied to 10-Ring's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The only business I go into that I do disarm is the Post Office if I am shipping off packages of baits to customers. I am working on figuring out how to get them picked up at the house so I don't even have to go there. If I approach a business that is posted like I said earlier. If my concealed gun is not welcome neither is my money. -
I think everything Chrysler is building in RWD now but not sure. If I was 30 years younger I would own a Hemi Challenger or Charger even though they are not true Hemi's they are still sharp looking cars and have that 70;s appearance. They also offer the 100,000 mile warranty with them............jmho

My dog Kasey gets Jacks Link Beef jerky or Jacks Link Turkey Jerky. Buy bulk bags for her at Sam's. She does not get any dog treats because they are almost all made in China. ..... Do they even make Duck Jerky?.......... :hiding:

How many of you know that there are people out there who own cars that don't even know they are front wheel drive cars. I could not count the times over the years that I have seen so many front wheel drive cars with snow tires on the rear wheels. I actually dated a girl (for short time) that drove an Acura and we went to the store one day to buy a few groceries and she wanted to go in her car so we did. When she opened the truck to put the groceries in, there in the trunk was four 50 lb bags of playground sand. Two on each side. I asked he what they were for and she said added traction in winter. I bit my tongue and didn't say anything right then. Over supper I asked her how long she had owned the Acura and she said two years. (Remember when i said dated for a short time) I was polite when I explained to her that she needed to figure out a way to get those bags of sand under her hood because her car was a front wheel drive and she was actually decreasing her traction by having the sand in the trunk. Never got invited back for dinner any more and the poor salesman that sold her the car, all I can say is I hope he had moved on or was his day off when she arrived at the dealership to find out why in the hell she was not told she was being sold a front wheel drive car? Oh yea, I did get to ask her before I told her about the Acura what kind of car she owned prior to that and she said Toyota Camry..........

If you're considering buying a Mini from Mini of Knoxville...
bersaguy replied to gjohnsoniv's topic in General Chat
i have to agree with you 100% on this Ugly. I also admire many , not all but many mechanics/technicians that are willing to work on the automobiles and trucks manufactured this day in time. The manufacturers are doing their ultimate best to make them to hard and to expensive for most independent repair shops to repair them. They are actually trying to drive the Independent Shops out of business so they can get all the repair work done at dealerships. This trend began about 30 years ago and had been continuing at a good pace. That is where the idea of the 100,000 mile warranties came from. No one has a reason to take their vehicle to an independent shop as long as it is covered under the warranty. That is also where the idea of leasing vehicles rather than purchasing them comes in. During the lease period you are required to bring the cars back to the dealers for any and all services beyond oil changes or new tires and many require you to bring them back for that also. It's not that they are building better vehicles than they did back 30+ years ago. It's that they want all the repair service also. Kind of like cornering the market so to say.......jmho -
If you're considering buying a Mini from Mini of Knoxville...

If you don't mind my asking, What kind of brand of truck do you have. I am wondering because I have never heard of it costing $700.00 to replace a timing belt. Now with that said if it was a timing chain and not a timing belt then yes it may have cost about $700.00 dollars because in many cases when a chain is replaced the timing chain sprockets are also replaced due to excessive wear. Just being curious and not trying to be offensive..... :ugh: :ugh: -
I have found over the years I have been on forum sites whether it is a fishing site of a firearms site. When they first start out small they are easy to keep up with all the members and most times folks are poking and joking around at each other. As others learn about the site they come and join and as that happens the atmosphere of the site changes as it grows. Pretty soon the moderators are busy just trying to keep a safe control of where the site is going and then pretty soon things have to take place like took place last week when some members had to be removed and the sites actually become a full time job for moderators just trying to maintain some type of order. The older members that were there in the beginning liked the old atmosphere when every one kinda knew everyone else and when that changed many drift away. They still come and lurk but seldom post. Like I said I have seen this happen on fishing site forums also...........jmho

I had a buddy bring me 5 quart bags of filets yesterday and give them to me because he didn't have room in his freezer for them. Love friends like that...... If you were up this way I could put you on a few spots on Old Hickory Lake but don't know anything about your area for Crappie.

Yea, it is cheaper to buy a new one. All of the ones I have come from ABC Fire Service Company and if I have to discharge one they will actually come by the house and exchange it for a full one and they are more affordable than you may think, but then how much cost can you put on the safety of your family and home? Just by having that service my home owners insurance gave me a 20% decrease in my homeowners insurance which off sets the service cost quite a bit.

Glad to hear things are safe for you now and your wife woke when she did. I have a policy of checking my 4 Smoke and Toxic Gas detectors when I change the month page on my calender each month. If it does not respond quick enough I install a new battery. If it still fails to respond quick enough I replace the detector. Also as a tip to all who depend on the detectors, I use to press the button to test them. Not any more. I will light a piece of rolled up paper till it is burning and then blow it out ad hold the smokinng paper beneath the detector and make sure the smoke turns it on. I have had them work with the button and not work with the smoking paper......just a tip I learned to do. I also have 30lb ABC Fire extinguishers in every room right under the smoke detectors. I check the gauges on them once a month also. I look at fire departments like I look at police departments. When seconds count they are only minutes away and fire waits on no man...........jmho
