  1. I love them things but don't know where to look for them or I would go look for them. Can anyone offer up any type of locations to look in like dry areas of forest or moist ares in the woods? Maybe near small creeks in woods of shady hill sides?
  2. In al honesty this is going the be an issue that many many businesses are going to have to struggle with. If it does get to the Governors desk and he does actually sign it. There are going to be far more people businesses are going to have to deal with. with even more people having the right to open carry the businesses will finaly be forced to make a decision on just how many customers they are willing to give up before they accept the fact that people are going to carry guns and just how many will be taking the signs down to keep their customer base in tact.............jmho

    Bersa .380

I have a 380 Llama I enjoy shooting more than the Bersa's and I am far more accurate with it but I already know why. After caping off about 3 or 4 magazines from the Bersa I catch myself easing off on my grip just slightly enough to throw my accuracy off a tad. Can't do that with the 380 Llama because it has a lemon squeezer grip and if you ease off the grip it won't fire so I have to hold it more firmly which helps my accuracy with it.
  4. Sounds like fun. I have abuddy that keeps me loaded up with filets. I think right now I have about 15 bags of them in freezer..... :yum: :yum:
  5. I didnt get to see it today but but did yesterday and it was depressing I'm a Phil Mickelson fan and he had a very tough day. Don't know if today was any better. Hope so. Will watch it over the weekend while I fill fishing bait orders. Got TV in bait making room.......
  6. Flying Insect spray works well on them also. I have got 5 so far...................

    Gas prices

I only have one piece of advice for you. Make darn sure that all of your timing marks are lined up exactly when you install the belt. Once you tighten the belt tension recheck all timing marks to make sure none jump a tooth. They have interference heads and if you crank the motor and it is a tooth or more off on any sprocket it will bend all the valves in the cylinder head.  I recommend strongly that once you have the belt installed and tight turn the motor over by hand at least 4 or 5 times with the first one being slowly. If the timing is off it will lock down not allowing you to turn it over. Don't try to force it. That will tell you it is out of time without bending valves..................jmho
  8. Like I said in my previous post. In 2009 the shooter was stopped by an MP 15 minutes after he began killing our troops and was only stopped by another person with a gun. During this last shooting it was only stopped because of another person with a gun confronted the shooter but in the second case the MP didn't even have to shoot. Once the MP confronted iwith her gun he shot himself. That should be more than enough proof that the way to end the shootings on our military bases is to arm our troops with side arms even if they make it optional. Let the troops make the decision about whether they want to be armed and it will deter these idiots and take away a soft target GUN FREE ZONE.......jmho
  9. A little drive north to Smyrna and you can fish in the park near where Stones river dumps in Percy Priest Lake. They stocked a bunch of Trout in there back in March but don't know how many will still be there. It's a good place to catch a few Bass and maybe some Crappie.  You can follow the signs towards Fate Sanders Marina in Smyrna and fish around the Marina also..........Good luck and good fishing

LOL, well most of what you see in the red was at 5 yards and I was moving the target back every 10 rounds  2 yards at a time to see how well the new out of the box gun was working. It showed me that the farther out it got the more the sight was shooting left. I did some adjusting on the rear sight and put up a new target and was able to shoot better center mass more consistently as I moved the target out to the 15 yard area but I can't find it but when I do I will put it up. I don't really plan on needed to shoot anything at 15 yards but just nice to know if I needed to I could. I was so impressed at the accuracy of the Bersa 380 at 15 yards that I bought a second one a week later and it is as good as the first one...... I would have appreciated the help with my grouping if I was having issues. I never turn down good advice from a  friend........
  11. Well, I have always been in favor of our soldiers to be allowed to have side arms while on an American base in country. The proof of it was provided in the last shooting but it seems that most have missed it when it was reported. They said the shooter was on a rampage and shooting everyone he could right up to the point he was faced against another armed person. At that point he quit shooting and shot and killed himself. Had our military people all had sidearms on how many would he had shot before getting shot? Probably none because when he was faced against another armed person he shot himself. That very possibly means he would have gone off somewhere and killed himself without hurting anyone else or he would have picked another soft target off base. The shooting back in 2009 at Ft Hood was also ended when the shooter was taken down but another armed soldier MP but only after having his way for over 15 minutes before the MP's arrived. Had our soldiers been armed the shooter would have been dead a lot quicker with far less death and carnage. Unarmed soldiers on a military base are as vulnerable as a Gun Free School Zone and we have seen how well those work...............jmho

    Bersa .380

This was my first Bersa range trip with fresh out of the box gun and target at 15 yards and 50 rounds. Can't find other target after adjusting sights but moved more center mass on second range outing. 14.   I had to laugh when I read this......In all honesty and not being married but a widower I would have had little fear if my wife were still alive selling my guns for what I paid for them. My wife was very smart when it came to money and you can bet she would have been on line looking up and researching the value of the guns before she put them up for sale along with the ammo. She would not have lost money on them. Now with that said, I would have to say that if I am dead in all honesty I would not really care I don't think if she gave them away................jmho
  15. I try and get some range time in every month if I can find ammo affordable to make that possible. So far I have been able to make it most months but don't get to fire as much as would like to. Sometimes on about 50 rounds and other times 100 rounds but some time at the range is better than no time at the range..............jmho
  16. Very true Randall53. It's not the weapon, it's the person and if they want to do harm to others they will find a way to do it. There have been many people killed in this country with weapons other than guns for many many years. There has also been many of these evil people stopped by a person with a gun but those good actions are seldom ever reported................jmho

    Bersa .380

Buds has the Black Matte finish in both the single and double stack in their Bersa section in stock right now. Just went and looked. I have two Black Matte 380 Bersa Thunder single stacks and love them. I also have several back up magazines that i carry when I go out. Hope this helps and you get your black gun your looking for......................
  18. We use to fish in Nam using grenades and were able to feed whole villages with only two throws and all the women would wade out with baskets to gather the floating fish. It works well if your not stupid like the boat guys and you actually thrown the darn things...............
  19. They might try a life size cardboard picture of POPEYE the sailor holding a can of Spinach that says I am this schools security..........JMHO
  20. I know exactly what your talking about. That is why when I went to take my course back years ago I ask my instructor Chad why he had a Kevlar on under his shirt outer shirt and he told me because he wants to go home after his classes. We had and elderly gentleman in our class that brought his gun with him instead of using one of the class weapons and just buying the ammo. He showed up with a 357 Snub Smith& Wesson brand new still in the box and the only time it had been fire was the 1 time at the factory and the empty casing still in the box. In the written test after the class room phase the older gentleman scored 100. Then we went to the range and my buddy that does the maintenance on the range was there to help Chad and BT was working with shooters to help out and it took the older gentleman about 5 minutes to learn how to load his new gun. The shooting class was at 4 different distances. 6 rounds @  4 yards, 6 rounds at 7 yards, 6 rounds at 10 yards and 6 rounds at 12 yards. After everyone else was done and up in the classroom Chad was still down in the range another 30 minutes with the older gentleman helping him learn and finally sent BT up to get one of the rental 38 caliber Smith revolvers with 5 inch barrel and the gentleman was able to qualify with it.  After all the class was over Chad took the gentleman up into the gun store up front and they spent about an hour finding a wheel gun the gentleman could shoot with relative accuracy and comfort and he traded the 357 mag and went home with a new 38 Caliber S&W 4 inch barrel that he could use to protect his home and carry if desired and would work best for him. It was situations like that why Chad wore Kevlar.......
  21. :panic:>>>>>>>> Gosh................. .    In all honesty I made that post to see how people might react and I got what I was expecting more or less. I figured it would ruffle a few feathers when I added Tombstone and Dodge city. I did put it in the post that Someone has finally realized what the 2nd Amendment represents but I guess yall missed that part. Just to get this said I do hope and pray that is does pass and that is what our fore fathers did have planned and our people in DC and many states have been trying to deny us so hey I one the same side on this as yall..........
  22. That means that if we carry concealed we have to pay for that privilege but a legal gun owner does not have to pay for the privilege to carry openly......... :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  No classes required and no professional classes on proper gun handling and safety. Just strap it on and go for it if you can legally own it. Sounds like someone may have finally figure out just what the 2nd Amendment really means but it also might make us look like Dodge City Kansas or Tombstone Arizona back in the 1870's too................. :hiding: :hiding:
  23. I will not criticize anyone for their decision on their carry preference. It is none of my business. My preference is to CC. I got my HCP to be able to legally CC and not to let everyone know I have a gun. It is my business and no one else if I am armed. If I ever allow someone to know I am armed it will be because a situation has developed that requires me to have my gun in my hand in open sight...............jmho
  24. Prayers sent and hope they can begin to help her after the tests............
  25. Chalk one more up for the good guys............   jmho
