  1. I watched that guy walk the canyon of that tight rope here sometime back. Little more than a rope but more like 1.5 inch cable but was still pretty gutsy for him to do it. Plus not much else worth watching to the Flat screen. Use to say Tube but tv's don't have tubes anymore.........
  2. This reminds me of my Mother. Lost her several years back but I thought this was funny. My Mother could speak about three foreign languages quit well and one of them was Japanese. She learned it as a young girl when she went to work as a dishwasher in a Japanese  Restaurant. The main words she picked up all was all the curse words the cooks would spout out when they got mad. I was over at her house one evening when a telemarketer called and she answered the phone and said a few quaint words in Japanese and as she hung the phone up she said, Huh, don't guess they wanted to talk. She had caller ID and looked at it, it said unknown on it before she answered it. My brother said she does that all the time and I said well, it seems to work.............
  3. My buddy has a Kel-tec 32 caliber he pocket carries and he loves it. I was looking for a 32 when I ran up on the LCP.................liking it more each time I get ready to make a quick run to the store. Got shorts on so in the pocket it goes and I am feeling more safe having it the more I tote it.
  4. Nice shot and 1 less yote to worry about with new calves..................
  5. Well, since I am not a beer drinker that bone won't help me at all..................... :ugh: :ugh:
  6. Hi Mike and welcome to TGO. I am also located in Gallatin.
  7. back 18 years ago when I moved here I was trying to make a decision on whether to get a house phone or a cell phone. I was only going to get one or the other. Well I was on my way to sore to get some groceries and truck broke down. I had to walk about 3  miles to a pay phone to call a friend. That was the deciding factor. I can make calls from a cell phone from home but can't call for help when broke down on the side of the road and get help with home phone. So I have one phone and seldom if ever get a spam call. Wrong number about 1 time every couple months. Will never have another home phone...............jmho
  8. I do pretty much the same thing with ground beef but I went one step further. I have a hand grinder that belonged to my grandmother and I grind my own. I will go to the "Used meat"  close to outdated managers specials and purchase any roasts that are marked down and I come home and cut them in chunks and freeze them in vacuum seal. Then I thaw out what I need and grind my own burger for use at that time. Saves on burger dishes like spaghetti, grill burgers, Chili and other type supper meals. You can buy you own meat grinders fairly cheap at TSC stores and they come with pork sausage tube slides and other attachments. Been thinking about getting a new one............jmho
  9. I know some folks think they are saving money when they buy these cost cutter off brand items that are even lower in price than store brand items but I spent some time researching these items. Many of them are imported from third world countries and in many cases the weights are off as much as two ounces in the dry goods like Macaroni, Rice and boxes of Mac&Cheese stuff. There canned goods have about 2.5 more ounces of water than products like Green Beans and other canned veggies. About the only things I buy that is store brands are at Sam's and then it 's mostly paper products like paper towels and toilet paper.  I have also noticed that things I use to purchase in grocery stores like Campbell's Soups cost you about the same the same as a few years back but the cans are smaller. I have seen that in many name brand items. Starkist Tuna in cans are smaller but cost as much as 3 years ago. Kraft mac & cheese Shells have smaller shells in them than they use to have. These are all things that manufacturers are trying to slip past consumers and I guess it's working cause I have not heard anyone complaining. I just began buying those things at Sam's in bulk because at bulk price even though your getting smaller portions they are not costing you as much as in retail grocery stores.................jmho

show off..............  I was not gonna let folks know I let other folks buy my baits but thanks for the bragging anyway. This is a gun site and have thought about becoming a Benefactor but didn't think it would be something folks would be interested in. If it was a fishing site then maybe.....................
  11. Right now I have the gun loaded with PMC because i have not opened ammo safe for some time and that is what is in my Range bag so that is what I loaded it with. Might not load any Fiocchi in it now. Fiocchi is about the hottest 380 ammo I have ever found. I can tell a difference in it in both of my Bersa's and my Llama and any other 380 ammo.
  12.  I just spit coffee all over my keyboard and computer.  I didn't put 2 and 2  together for a minute and then realized what I read.  A Chihuahua, one of the smallest dogs on earth playing with a Mastiff or (Small horse) largest dog on earth. It hit me all at once and this picture formed in my head and out came the coffee. I bet that was a lot of fun to watch...........
  13. I love it but it hates me.....................  Use to eat it all the time when I was younger. When I feel I deserve to torture myself and my buddy calls and tells me he has some Jambalaya made up and will bring me some I tell him to bring it on. Then for the next 3 or 4 days I hate myself for saying yes...............
  14. The kid is going to be a very good golfer in a few years or so and he did give Bubba a run for his money through first 4 holes. I think it became the pressure of playing teamed with Bubba that rattled the kid. I saw that happen to some really good golfers when they got teamed up with Tiger in his early years when he was a hot shot and could make shots very few would ever try but I think his prime time is over. He is already having surgeries and they always mess folks up. I don't know what happen to Phil Mickelson. One minute he was doing good and all at once he was gone??? Was glad to see Fred Couples still out there knocking the ball around also. He didn't do bad to be 54 years old...............jmho
  15. Well, lets see........ I guess you could say I have two mouths to feed. Mine and the Queen is what my friends call her. That would be Kasey.  I have done a lot of shopping over the years and i have found some pretty cool places to shop. I cook for Kasey and she is very fond of Chicken Breasts so that's what she gets 5 nights a week but I have an outlet I buy them for her that makes it affordable. I cook about 8lbs in a  large crock pot a week for her and two nights a week she eats Pedigree dog food. He snacks are Jacks Links Beef and Turkey Jerky. You can buy them fairly reasonable in bulk and Sam's Warehouse in 1 lb bags and I normally by 10 bags a month and we share those. The there is about 8 boxes of Alpo Snack biscuits a month. Then with what I spend on myself for food each month I guess I spend about 350.00 to 400.00 a month of food. When I buy her chicken I go to a store near Gallatin that is only open on Fridays and I buy 10lb bags of good plump chicken breasts for $15.00 a bag. each bag has 25 breasts. I also eat the chicken, either grilled of deep fried or sometimes baked. It's a lot cheaper than Walmart and Krogers or any regular grocery stores. They also have Steaks, Short ribs, Pork roasts, beef roasts, hams bulk boxes of pork sausage patties, bacon, all kinds of frozen vegetables and 10 lb bags of Crinkle fries for about $4.50. I love their frozen Brussel Spouts. I normally spend 100 bucks there when I go and can eat for almost a month on meals and I seldom eat out. can't eat out as cheap as I can cook meals. About the only time I go to a real grocery store is to get things like Milk, eggs and butter. Most every thing else comes from Sam's or Gray's.

I enjoy making soft plastic fishing baits. Hand pouring. Love experimenting with different color combinations and then going fishing to see if they will catch a bass or two. I have had great success with a lot of them and like I said it's fun experimenting. The whole thing about this is your imagination is unlimited and never ending because the color combinations are endless..........

    Bersa .380

I was not having gun functioning issues. Gun operated properly. I was allowing just enough soft grip to cause the gun to pull to the left slightly. Now that I have developed a double handed comfortable firing position the Bersa's are no longer shooting left for me but I am also not shooting at 15 yards that often any longer either. Now it is mostly 7 yards max at range.
  18. Thanks, I know lots of those places since I live right new Old Hickory and I will launch the bass boat and go check out some of the islands up in the river for them. Guess I better take something with snake shot in it and get out my wader boots. Suppose to get a cool day midweek. Might go then....jmho
  19. So sorry for your loss. I have had to put two of them down over the years and it rips my heart out every time. I lost one in 1995 that was the oldest dog my Vet had ever put down at age 21 and the facts were verified that she was 21 because he gave her her first shots when she was a puppy and was her vet her whole life. The second one was 15 and suffered a heart attack and even though he survived it the vet said his heart was extremely damaged and I will not see one of my best friends suffer so had him put down. Now I have Kasey which turned 16 last November and had vet visit for her yearly check up and flea&tick treatment and vet said except for her being slightly over weight, only 30 lbs over weight she is in good shape. In all honesty the vet said she needed to be put on a diet and I laughed and told the vet that she is on a see food diet now. Everything she sees she eats. My vet just laughed and said at her age that is probably best since that is how she was raised and any changes now would be fruitless. So we both agreed on that. Again, sorry for you loss.................
  20. hipower,  at present time the hottest 380 ball ammo I have found is Fiocchi and that was what I was shooting in the LCP. It seems to be a little hotter than PMC that I have been shooting.............jmho
  21. Well, like hipower said, I think this little gun will grow on me and probably remain with me. I have a buddy that has Kel-tec 32 Caliber he carries for back up and he likes it but he did mention the other day that he has been having a little difficulty locating 32 ammo. He is buying it when he sees it and I bought him a box and my granddaughter in law a box because she carries a Cobra 32 in her purse and her hubby was also having problem finding it. I spoke witha  few store owners about it and they said that because many companies have or are thinking about discontinung the manufacture of that caliber they figure the ammo companies will not be producing as much of it. Whats ya'lls thought on that?..........jmho
  22. I am just proud to still be here and I will think before I type from now on for sure and if I do something wrong please slap me across the knuckles like my teachers use to do in grade school. I don't know if any of ya'll ever had a ruler across the back of your hands when you were in school by teacher but I can still remember how bad it stung. Made it hard to write the rest of the day.........jmho
  23. Well, Bit the bullet so to say and bought myself a pocket pistol. Picked up a Ruger 380 LCP. Took it to the range today and all I can say is for such a small gun it's a hand full when the hammer drops........ Put 3 magazine loads through it and I will say. This is not a gun you visit the range with very often.... :ugh: It is fun kinda but you better stay on your toes when you pull the trigger and hold on tight with big hands.  Not sure I will own it long. Thing is for what the gun is designed to do it is perfect I guess. Guess I will have to give it some real thought.................jmho
  24. Ok Just for you......................jmho................
  25. I will admit I contacted the an administrator and got a reply back of Nope and a smiley face so felt a big weight lifted off e cause I love this place...............   and think it's :no1:
