  2. No but I do speak Vietnamese very well and can translate it just as well. I can get by with some Japanese, enough to get by without to many laughs from the natives................
  3. well most of my life I have owned 1 or more dogs. Right now I have one but she does not know she is a dog. She is not sure about a few things but being a dog is not one of them. My friends all tell me that she has me very well trained.... I have had her since she had blue puppy film eyes and puppy breathe. She is now going on 15 years old and a few of my close friends have told me they worry about her and I. B.T. told me a few weeks back that he has never seen such a companionship or bond between a person and and a dog as the one between Kasey and I. He said he is worry tat if he loses one of us he is almost positive he will lose the other over grief. My son in law thinks I don't know but he has plans of having another dog in my life if I ever were to lose Kasey but he will be an very unhappy camper stuck with a dog. I could become attached to a dog in a heartbeat if I were younger but I am aware of the fact it would not be fair to the dog because a young dog will surely out live me so I would not want the burden of worrying about who would care for it if I should die. I already worry about that with Kasey but B.T. as already made his wife aware of the fact that if anything happens to me Kasey will be moving in and his wife said I already knew that. He knows Kasey's routine as well as I do and Kasey has know him about as long as she has known me so she will not be going to some stranger.   Sorry for getting off track a little but when it comes to dogs that is easy for me to do. As far as getting another dog while living in someone else's home. I would not do that but that is my thoughts on it. I would wait and get my own place first. As far as your dog being lonesome. :panic:  I would not worry to much about that. Dogs don't get lonesome because dogs have no conception of time. If you want to see it is an easy test. Next time you are away from your dog for an extended period of time, when you return home watch the reaction you get for coming home. Then a few days later get in your car and drive around for about 15 minutes and then return home and you will see your dog will react as if you were gone for hours. I have a vet tell me that years ago and about 5 dogs ago and each time I tested the dog it was the same............
  4. I don't think he was aware of the fact I was a veteran till I told him out on the porch but I did notice that he did keep his distance till they left the gathering. I think your people don't remember that there were wars prior to the last two which one is still taking place. I don't even think our education system even teaches on the Vietnam War. Probably because it was not called a war till Ronald Reagan called it a war. Until then it was a Policing Action or Conflict. I think that was so the VA could get around a lot of services our Vietnam Veterans needed but never got.........jmho
  5. This day in time you can drive into gang turf and not even know it till it's too late. The turfs are growing all the time and new gangs mean new turfs. Opry Mills has about become a gang turf and is dangerous at night for sure. There have been a lot of people shot and many killed just for making a wrong turn. I try to make sure I know if I am going to get near known gang zones but like i said they are growing................jmho
  6. I have been using a Black and Decker or about 8 years now. I prepare coffee the night before and when I get up next morning I have fresh coffee. It has auto turn off in 2 hours. I actually have two of them. One new in the box. Nothing I hate more than to not have my coffee in the morning. I bought these two while they were on sale at Walmart 8 years ago. Bought  the back up because got up one day to cold coffee. Old maker made the coffee but hot pad was not working. Heated coffee in Micro wave that morning but went that day and bought the two. As far as the beeper thingy, That would not really bother me because I am tone deaf and probably would not hear it anyway.   I guess if I was going to buy a new one I would read all the options offered by maker before buying it.................jmho
  7. There is an Amish store located right on wy 41 going into Greenbrier on right hand side that has quite a bit of Amish built Items on the lot.
  8. Well, my feelings are it would have been a big step forward for Tennessee and 2nd Amendment but I am good with the fact they have not done much to mess with Concealed carry which is my preference anyway........jmho
  9. Many people know that I carry a gun. Family gatherings when I take my wnd breaker off and open carry and people that are not family but friends that get invited to the shindig. Some of them will eventually get around to that question of. Would you really shoot someone???? Depending on who they are and the tone of their voice when asking has a lot to do with my reply. Most times I will try and be polite and reply only as last resort. If the person asking is kind of cocky like he may be an anti gun person my reply might be yea I would shoot someone and if need be might shoot them several times. I had one guy at a gathering a few months back of family and friends and he was totally determined to try and embarass the fact that I was packing a gun. He was a young cocky friend of one of my older grandsons. My grandson tried to get him to stop asking questions about it. Finally I went out of front porch because we don't smoke in daughters home and he and my grandson followed. He asked me if I felt like a tough guy because I carried a gun and he doubted I would use it or kill someone. I finally turned and looked at him and said,  "Son I have killed more men in my life than I would ever want to remember and it is not nor ever will be something I am proud of but people kill people in war. So now you know that i have killed in the past and if it ever came down to needing to defend myself or family or even a total stranger in danger by another yes I would kill again. With that he went back insde and made sure he kept his distance from me till he and his friends left. I was just wondering ow many other folks may have had that question put to them and what their answers were???
  10. Yea, I agree but with the Video world our children have seen the same ones we saw when younger. I asked my 10 year old Grandson if he wanted to do see it. His reply was why Grandpa? Haven't you see him before. He said I have so don't want to see it again. Even the kids are noticing the same issues I am.
  11. Gosh I am sure glad I didn't ask this question. I didn't ask it but I am still confused about which one I would pick. I would probably stay home, turn the lights down , put on her favorite music and order in Chinese. We do have a great Chinese Resturant here in Gallatin that delivers and they have great Chinese food.
  12. :panic: Gosh I need to get out more. I have never heard of any of these places. To me fancy is O' Charlies or Logans...........
  13. Well going to a bar while armed and drinking alcohol has always been illegal already so thats a gimme. Schools are also a gimme because they have always been "GUN FREE ZONES" and in all honesty and I ain't proud of it but have not been to church since wife passed away so can't speak on Churches But if I am not mistaken was there not a decussion a while back about those fancy coffee houses I can't afford to shop at first posted no guns and then reposted to no open carry do to business loss. Mind is going cause I can't think of the name of those Coffee joints. Probably because I ave never been in one........ :hiding:
  14. :panic: I honestly thought that Matthew Brodrick with the help us the US Military Killed GODZILLA on the cabled bridge in New York City a year or so ago. It seems I have see him killed at least 20 different times in my life. Does this mean King Kong is going to make another 100th come back too???? It is truly a shame that Hollywood has lost all of their writers and the only options left is to do remakes of previous remakes of past remakes and still in the end the dragon and the big monkey still bite the dust again and again and again............. :hiding:
  15. I been thinking about the Open Carry bill they just shot down last week and I have been wondering something. We all know that some of us do fudge sometimes when approaching a posted business and we need to just go in and get something and right back out while carrying concealed. If they would have actually passed the open carry law I wonder how many more businesses would have went posted?  It stands to reason if they don't want concealed carries in their place of business surely they would not want open carry in there. With that said many businesses have probably never given it a second thought about how many people walk through their doors every day with a concealed weapon. Now considering how many businesses are posted no guns for concealed carry if they went open carry how would any stores have any customers if they don't even want concealed carry customers?????
  16. Yep , they sure did OS. When I looked today it was on weekly special page and it's gone now.  Buds must have someone spying here...........
  17. Yep that is the one I was looking at but I did miss the folding grip. Sorry for making that mistake. I bet without that folding grip that gun would be a handful in the Mag series.............jmho
  18. Buds has that exact gun on sale with 1 5/8 barrel with all bells and whistles for $212.00
  19. That is why I do avoid businesses posted because if I do go in one I do still carry many times except Federal building. Reason being I do not want to be faced with the same issue the young lady in Texas was. Had she had her gun with her instead of in her car the outcome may have been much different and her parents may have survived. I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6 for being stupid..............jmho
  20. Normally if I am going to be leaving my house I will have one on my belt concealed with a loose fitting light wind breaker or loose cover button up shirt. If I am at home and out in the yard in shorts I have a pocket pistol on my person. In my house there is 1 or more guns all around the house including bathroom. None in plain sight but I know where they are and there is an extra loaded magazine with each gun. That includes when i am away from house and packing I have at least 1 loaded back up Magazine. Paranoid Never!!!!!!! Cautious always!!!!! I went out today and I was unarmed for about 2 minutes to mail a package in post office.
  21. All jokes aside about this Chinese stuff. I was feeding my Kasey those Waggin Tails Chicken Jerky and she loved it and I was buying it in bulk at Sam's. I went to Sam's one day to stock up on some things including her jerky. Not giving it any thought I put 8 2lb bags in my cart and when I got home I was getting stuff put up and what the hell did I see but the words MADE IN CHINA. I got out a bag I had purchased the trip prior and it said Made in USA. I called the 800 number to talk with them. I ask the lady on the phone when they began getting their products made in China and she said that they just started and the new products just hit the shelves in stores this week. I ask her why they moved off shore and she gave me the most lame excuse I have ever heard. She said they were having trouble locating enough chicken in America to continue making their product because of demand. She said we have our own quality control people in  the plants over there so you can be assured that the quality of our product won't change. I said maybe not but I won't be buying any more to find out. I made a special trip back to Sam's to take the junk back and get a refund. I go my refund and told the manager at Sam's how disappointed  I was in Sam's decision to continue to carry the product. I went over to the Jacks link Jerky and read the package and saw nothing about China and bought five 1lb bags and went home. Since then I have been doing the research about the Waggin Tails reports and dogs are getting sick and dying on the damn things. It is causing many different illnesses and killing dogs and right now I think  they are tied up in over 100 lawsuits over people suing them from everything from very high Vet bills to loss of a family pet. Maybe Waggin tails should have called Tyson  and ask about buying some chicken and staying on shore in America. That is why I recommend that every one become a label reader and if it does no specifically read Made in USA or Made in America don't buy it because it is probably made in China and the company is hiding it. Also don't get tricked in the labeling either because there are a few out there that say Packaged in America. Ok so it's packaged in America but where is it made??????. I did hear an ad on TV the other night about Milo dog treats and back several years ago it was made in China but the other night on the ad on TV they said it was made in America. I don't know whether to believe them or not but maybe their sales was suffering so bad by being made in China that they came back on Shore and are making it here. I am going to get teh number off one of their products and call them and do a 3rd degree on who ever answers the phone and tell them before hanging up that if my dog gets sick on their products they can expect to be sued and wait for a response. If they tell me they would rather I didn't purchase their products that will tell me what I need to know.................jmho.
  22. Your welcome anytime and I will serve you your own plate of chicken and might even add a few veggies for you cause she does not like them....
  23. Always choose  a memorable password!           A lady helps  her husband install a new computer. Once it is completed,  she tells him to select a password, selecting a word that  he'll always remember. As the computer asks him to enter  it, he looks at his wife and with a macho gesture and a  wink in his eye, he selects a word: mypenis As he hits  "enter", to validate the selection, his wife collapses  with laughter and rolls on the floor in  hysteria!!    The computer  had replied:  TOO SHORT- ACCESS  DENIED!
  24. I had a long talk with my vet back about 10 years ago when it was first discovered that China was poisoning dogs over here by putting dangerous chemicals in the dog foods and dog treats and I quit using anything made in China period. Since after spending about 3 hours at Petco reading labels I drew the conclusion that human treats like Jacks Links had to be safer for Kasey. I contacted Jacks links by phone and we had a long talk about where they got the materials they used to make their products. the answer was Canada and the United States. As far as her snack biscuits she only gets Alpo Squares made in America. Her dog food when she is fed dog food is Pedigree which is made right here in Franklin Tennessee. That was the dog food my Vet recommended. Most of the time I cook for her and myself. I buy Chicken breasts in 10 lb bags and will cook them in a large Crock pot and most nights she will get two chicken breasts and 2 nights a week she gets dog food. I figure I can eat the chicken also and I can eat the jacks link Snacks also so works out fine. Sam's has 1 pound bulk bags of the Jerky and ever so often they run $3.00 off it per bag. When they do that I stock up on it. I'm just waiting now to see how long it s before China starts poisoning Americans with their food products. They caught them back about 5 years ago with those little travel tubes of tooth paste when people were getting sick and after testing the product they found out that China was putting Ethanol Glycol which is the base product in auto anti freeze in the small tubes of the toothpaste. My guess was that was just a test by the Chinese to see if they could get it passed without getting caught and if they would have they would have began using it in more products made for human consumption in he United States. Since then I have become a serious label reader. China has tried to get the Food and Drug administrations permission to remove the MADE IN CHINA from the labeling of food items for humans here and to date they have denied the request. I am guessing that China may have already began doing it to see if they can slip some things through. That is why I seldom by many store brand products and never buy the off brand products that don't have labeling where it tells where they are made. A few of my friends have called me paranoid. I say better paranoid then hospitalized for being stupid...............jmho
  25. Yea I know that the heads are same to a point and yep, these lighter cars would make 426 w/ 425 Hp a hand full.  I did own a 1970 Cuda  440 six pack with 411 rear gears and Hurst 4 speed and it was no slouch by any form of imagination and the new Challengers remind me of that car in body style.......jmho
