Yea , it's funny how things you do can turn around and bite you in the a$$ huh. China supplied NV with arms and war machines and even men on the ground to defeat the Americans and they did. Thing is NV still has all of those weapons and gave China a lot more than they were prepared to deal within the late 70's. We did the same thing in Afghanistan back in the 70's when were supplied the Afgan's with war machines and arms and even sent men over there to train them on the weapons and they ended up kicking Russia's butt with them. Osama Bin Laden was one of the Afgan rebels best sttudents that we trained on how to kick Russia's butt and he sent his thank you for our help twice. Once when he ordered the bombing in the basement of the World trade center in 1992 and the second thank you came in the form of Airplanes being hijacked and flown into the Twin towers, Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvanian on (/11/2001. That is what happens when you help people that hate your guts and you know it and are still stupid enough to do it anyway.............jmho

I have shot factory reloads out of all my Bersa 380s with good success so my guess was a flaw in the workmanship whch will happen with any gum makers from the most expensive to the cheapest one made............jmho

I understand your position on this and do not disagree with you at all. It is and has been a tough road that we as gun owners face and it will not get any easier any time soon as long as you have crazy people running around killing people with regularity and nothing is being done to prevent it and that goes for both sides. In the issue in California there was a lot of warning that this was going to happen. He didn't hide his feelings and gave plenty of warning signs of his plans and no one did anything. Not thr Anti gun people or the Pro gun people. His family knew he had issues, his classmates knew he had issues and even his psychologist had warnings in emails that he had issues and not one person did anything to stop it from happening. The said scenario played out in the theater shoot in Colorado. People were warned he had issues. He didn't keep them a secret. He even sent his psychiatrist emails telling her about his thoughts and she did nothing. Oh wait she said she didn't read them till after he did the shooting and found them later on her computer. failure for her to do her job and check her emails everyday could possibly have prevented the shooting as I think she had the emails on her computer 3 days prior to it all. Until people begin to put more attention to the many warning signs these people are showing and saying and tehn acting on them instead of taking the (I don't want to get involved option) these shootings will continue. I hate to admit this but Parents are the worst at preventing these situations by living in denial that their child has a problem. They are ashamed of what people may think rather than do what is right and get their child help. I have a grandson that was born with ADHD and in the early years he was a hand full to deal with. we didn't know his Father also had it as he kept it hid until after my daughter and he got married and it came out after he quit taking his medications and became violent at times and beat my daughter when she was with child. I went to Kentucky on Easter Sunday 1988 with my new wife to get her daughter from this man before he killed her. At gun point I sat him on his couch while my step daughter and her mother packed up all of her belongings and put them in my van. Before we left I made it very clear to him that is I ever saw him in Tennessee I would kill him. The next day I contacted the Bowling Green Police department and informed them of what I did and that they may want to keep an eye on him because he was a violent person and suffered from the disease and would not take his medications. He had a couple run ins with police after we had taken my daughter away from him. Shortly after Matthew was born his father contacted my wife and asked if he could come and see his son. She told him he would have to ask me. I asked him if he was taking his medication and his reply was sometimes so my reply was no. A week later his landlord and police found him hung in his apartment in an apparent suicide. I helped my daughter get Matthew all the help that was available fr him while he was growing up. There was times we wanted to pull our hair out dealing with him and other times couldn't ask for a better kid. As he grew older and was more in control of his life he was more able to take care of himself and when he graduated from high School I paid for his college education in a Tech college and he learned computer technology and has been with Dell since he graduate top 5 in his class. We could have just given up on him like many parents do but I would not allow it. To this day Matthew goes1 time a month for a shot that helps him with his problem and many times a month he calls me if something is bothering him and we talk it out. I won't ever give up on him. But takes family members recognizing a child's problem and addressing it and not trying to hide it. There is no stigma with admitting there is a problem. There is a stigma when it is ignored to the point we have a shooter and then the stigma seems to also be the gun and not the real reason it happened which in most cases the parents refusing to admit they had a problem child and addressing it..................JMHO

Buy cheap ammo and you get cheap ammo and then folks blame to gun. Any brass ammo is better than reloads and steel. I see you live in Wilson County. If you would like to meet at one of the ranges here in Gallatin I will let you have enough 380 ammo to run through your CC and I will shoot some with you. Been needing some range time anyway. ....................

I have been having issues with my cell phone service for last couple days along with my broadband internet service since it is with my phone service. I thought it was just a problem with my company but my neighbors have Verizon and Sprint and they are also have phone issues. Is anyone here having issues with problems getting service when you try and make calls of once the call begins it just cuts off the call. They are having same issues with their phone services......Just wondering if anyone else has noticed any issues?

The only way to know if it is fixed is go put some rounds down range with it. I have about 3 friends that have that exact gun and they shoot regularly with zero issues and love them................jmho

I saw some dude open carrying today.
bersaguy replied to K191145's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I make soft plastic fishing baits for folks and I ship them through post office in priority mail. There has been a few times I forgot to disarm and put my gun in console before going inside with the packages but because I never open carry the people behind the counter that waited on me never knew it. They all knew me on a first name basis when I walked in the doors and two of them knew me from the range and know that I do carry. There is not a sign of any kind up in my post office. Not outside , not inside the glass in the entrance or on any walls inside. I have never understood the idea of posting signs inside. By the time you see them you have already broken the law. I think if they don't want you to break the law they would put them on entrance doors. Remember folks we are dealing with the Federal Government here and who knows what new laws hit the books last night while Obama was having a midnight snack and whipped out that evil pen to make our lives even worse..............jmho -
When you lose a child for any reason people around you are in control of you and during a time of severe grief you will say just about anything anyone asks or tells you to say and you will say them even when in most cases they are not you actual feelings on an issue. The Press and Funeral directors are trained in the same school of depending on your grief to get what they want out of you and they play you like a bass drum to their tune. It is when people on our side strike back at that moment that is makes us look worse and we go down to or below their level. When a person who just lost their child says anything you take it with a grain of salt and say your sorry for their loss and walk away. You don't say "YOUR CHILD'S DEATH DOES NOT TRUMP MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!!!!". That just shows Joes own ignorance and that is what the anti gunners will use. They will say that this is nothing more than another heartless person that owns guns, what more can you expect? That is another strike against our own goals when you play into theirs. I heard an Admiral give a speech while I was in the Navy. During the speech he made the statement I will never forget even though I cannot remember what the rest of the speech was about : He said "There are times to speak out and show your intelligence and their are times to keep you mouth shut and not show your ignorance, but the tricky part is knowing when the right time is." I heard those words almost 45 Years ago and I remember them like they were yesterday................................jmho

I consider myself about as pro gun 2nd Amendment person as I can be. That you can take to the bank but there are moments where I also can see it from the other side when people do stupid things or say stupid things that reflect on all of us as gun owners and it makes it easy to see the other sides views. Like Black rifles in a restaurant to eat dinner really gives me a good look from the other side of things. Yes, they do have to right to do it and yes we fight to have our rights to carry guns to protect ourselves and our family and if it comes down to it protect our country BUT do they really have a place in a family restaurant. I think not. There have been statements made by famous people that I think were in bad taste when talking about the 2nd Amendment and our rights to bear arms. One of them was just recently made by Joe the plumber which I felt was unnecessary and out of line. It was directed at a mother of one of the victims of the California shooting This was his quote from Joe the plumber (Wurzelbacher) As harsh as this sounds — your dead kids don't trump my Constitutional rights," Wurzelbacher wrote on BarbWire.com. I'm sure he may have been right because many people have died fighting to protect our Constitution. I'm sorry but I cannot go along with the plumber on that. It was not his kids and I am sure if it was his daughter he would not have said it. Whether a person in Pro Gun or Anti gun the loss of a child hurts and it hurts a lot. As much as I respected Charlton Heston the statement he made to the families of the children lost at Columbine was out of line and I'm not sure what point he was trying to prove with it but it didn't set well with me. The NRA was having their annual meeting in Denver and several of the parents that lost children requested that the NRA move their meeting to a new location. Now of course that would be hard to do on such short notice but in one breath he lost a lot of my respect when he said very boldly with no compassion at all" We will postpone the meeting for two weeks". "GO BURY YOUR DEAD" The way I looked at that was if the meeting could be postponed for 2 weeks it damn well could have been relocated also and he was as cold as the hands he talked about when they would get his guns. I do realize that we need to stand firm on our beliefs and we are facing a tough fight from many sides on our beliefs but there are also times where a little compassion might go a lot farther than some of the words that come out of our mouths. I wonder how many of the children that died at Columbine had parents that were strong believers of the 2nd Amendment, Same with Sandy hook , Virginia Tech, the theater in Colorado. I don't recall anyone hearing the shooters ask their victims if they were pro gun or not? Crazy people don't care what your beliefs are. They just start killing with no discretion. When we allow words to come from our mouths we need to be compassionate in a time when it is needed but we can also show the same compassion for our 2nd Amendment rights when they are challenged also. Statements made by Heston and the plumber were just words but they were as damaging as those black guns were in that restaurant was a couple weeks ago. They all gave ammunition to our enemies to use when they need to. I don't like to be labeled as an extremist anymore than anyone else does but statements like Heston and the plumber made were extreme and the black rifles were beyond extreme to total stupid. As long as people do those things we give the real extremists reason to label us also. There have been many many times that the Anti gun people have pushed the envelope far beyond where to post office delivers. We should never ever stoop to their levels or we are no better than they are.............JMVHO

Justice Dept., Banks Put Choke Hold on Gun Dealers
bersaguy replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I honestly don't see many banks being willing to give up many of their largest customers that run millions and some billions of dollars through their banks just to please a few anti gun politicians like Eric Holder who has almost no power over the banking system.........jmho -
chicago wants to video tape gun sales
bersaguy replied to Dustbuster's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Gangs have been an issue in Chicago long before I moved away from up there in 1967. Back then it was knives and ball bats and a meeting in the park to discuss turf boundaries and if it went to the next level and knives and ball bats where needed the only ones that got hurt was gang members. Today's gangs are not really gangs. They are hoodlums and have no respect for turfs or innocent people not involved. They just open fire and who ever gets hit gets hit. If the Mayor of Chicago really wanted to end the violence in his city he would go out of his way to arm the good upstanding people in his city and allow them to take care of it along with the police but when you have an undermanned Police force which probably half their own kids are these hoodlums doing the killings your never going to win. I have friends that I have known my whole life that still live up there and we talk often. A few of the gangs on the south side decided to expand their turf to Will county out side of the protection of the Chicago PD. Bad idea. When they moved in Lockport Illinois a bunch of them ended up dead and a dump truck took their remains back up to the South side of Chicago in Blue Island and dumped them in an alley on their old turf. All where killed with Joe Biden's favor weapon and no one laid claim to it but it let the gangs in Chicago know to stay out of Will county. The Chicago Sun Times Newspaper called it a gang related incident and it was 1 paragraph on about page 14 right next to KFC advertisement and coupons. !7 kids between ages 13 and 17 died that night and it made 1 paragraph on page 14. That is how the News Medias now consider killing in Chicago. There was also a fire that night in Lockport and an old vacant house burned to the ground and even though FD responded they just let it burn down. That was what was going to be the gangs new clubhouse and rumor has it that was were all these kids met their Waterloo but the fire covered up any evidence to prove it. I might call it Vigilante justice or maybe just clearing out some trash but it got the point across to stay in Chicago..........I will see if I can get one of my buddy's to send me a news clip of it. Happened about a year ago....................... -
Glad you got it out but I would have drilled the head off. Lifted the MAP sensor off and got the remaining portion out with vice grips at least 3 or 4 days ago............  Done it a 50 times or more in my career as a mechanic............jmho

I would hope and pray that we don't side with any Communist country period. I can eat dry beans and water bread if need be and hunt wild small game till American manufacturing gets started back producing goods and products. In all reality I think there are many American industries still well capable of producing products and goods and are just doing it on a very limited scale and with all the people unemployed they could hire and be back up and fully operational pretty quick. I'm sure the Japanese didn't think we could build war machines as fast as we did after Pearl Harbor too but we proved them wrong. This is America and we can do it again if we need to. I'm not a quitter and I don't think the American people are either and yes I am an optimist.................. :usa: :usa:

Don't worry my friend. I have watched that video a 1000 times and I still get something in my eye every time. Sometimes both eyes depending on my mood when i watch it....... :usa:

They are done with real flares and if your ever near an airport when a hero or more are being brought there all of the pilots do the Angel Star burst on a fly over before landing. I have not seen any in sometime so not sure if Obama has stopped them or not but last one I saw was at Nashville about 2 years ago when 3 hero's were being brought home. I think there has been a few at Ft Campbell recently if I remember my buddy right when he said he was at Campbell last year when an Angel Flight came in.

Things are beginning to turn around..... for good
bersaguy replied to Wyldk2's topic in General Chat
Wishing you the best of luck and hope you get on at Nissan but let me warn you. They seldom ever hire on first interview. You may have to go to 2 or 3 before you get hired but if you can hold out that long once you get on they are great company to work for. I have about 10 friends working at the plant in Smyrna and all of them had to have at least 2 and a couple had 3 interviews before getting hired on. I had one of my buddy's tell me that by making you attend a few different interviews if you make all of them you will normally get hired on. They want to see how bad you want to work for them he thinks and he does not regret doing the 3 interviews at all. Loves his job. -
I went and posted to 2 of them and here they are: Patricia L Cunningham the thing shooters have in common is a gun My reply Bundy, Gassey,, Boston Strangler, Green River killer, Jack the Ripper, Timothy McVay and the Uni bomber to name a few killed hundreds of people and none of them used a gun. The one single largest mass murder in history was done using box cutters and airplanes on 9/11/2001. Susan Meyer It's amazing how many people, who are against gun control, come out of the woodwork in mass shooting tragedies. My daughter, and 3 others, were shot and killed by her boyfriend last year. Instead of focusing on the story, and what could be done to stop it. My reply I bury my oldest son back in 1990 and he died when he wrecked his car and I don't think your pain was any worse than mine. Burying a child hurts regardless of how they are killed and I am sorry for your loss but wanted you to know I am aware of how bad losing a child hurts.

yea, a sure case of dumb and dumber on that part. The report never did say who call the police but I went back and read that WSM article again and if you read it slow it almost sounds like Jennifer Langley was interviewing the bad guy by the way it's worded or is it just me???? She spoke like he told her why he was wearing her jewelry. And the Parker is locked in the bathroom and hid in the shower and yet Parker said it wasn't till the guy began fiddling with a door knob that Parker saw a chance to escape. If Parker in locked in the bathroom hiding in a shower the only possible door knob he could have heard the guy fiddling with would have been the bathroom door knob so how did Parker escape out the back door at that point unseen by Craddock!!!! What am I missing here?????????? Would he not have had to pass right passed Craddock while leaving the bathroom??????? I sure hope someone can clear this up for me cause i'm totally confused now!!!!

yep, he is but the only country he dare try to test is just below him and the only thing stopping him is the American Force stationed there. He is like the Iranians running those toy boats out there threatening one of our Destroyers or Aircraft Carriers. It's like a mouse trying to pick a fight with an elephant and we all know how that would go. Maybe with any luck at all Iran or N Korea will pick a fight with China and get squashed like a bug against a windshield at 70MPH and that will be one or two less bad guys we need to worry about over there...................jmho
