4000 American soldiers died in a war with no hope of it remaining free like it was when we left it. Should have left Saddam alone and was a major mistake by Bush to invade Iraq. I say within another 6 months Iraq will be in the hands of an enemy far more dangerous that Saddam every was. Baghdad will fall in next 30 days or less. As long as they stay over there and leave us alone let them have it. Keep a close recon on what takes place over there and this time make sure the recon is accurate. If they begin to pose a threat to America send them word that any aggression towards the United States will result in a swift and permanent end to Iraq. Let them figure out what that means....................jmho

There are many reasons one could use to explain why they carry a gun but I like the universal language one best......"You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or use any other word you think will work but I've found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much the universal language.

Oh I often wonder about your statement:  " but most of the parents of these shooters saw no outward signs to indicate their sons would do such a horrible thing." I think far more parents see the signs but don't want to believe their child could have these problems and they continue trying to brainwash themselves until they believe their child is perfect. No parent wants their child to be less than perfect. If more parents would learn the face the harsh reality that they do have a problem child these issues could be addressed quicker and maybe many of them prevented. In all honesty I think many times fellow students create these situations them selves with all the they bullying going on in our children's lives today. Many children are bullied to the point of taking some kind of action. Some quietly just commit suicide while others strike out against their bullies with school shootings. The whole issue and I know this will strike a few nerves but parents don't get involved enough in the children's lives that when there are changes in moods or actions they don't see them until it's to late. I do realize it is much harder raising a child today than it was 30 or so years ago when times were better but it is still a parents job to do the best they can for their children and far to many are failing at it..................jmho

I am not surprised that more home invasions have been making the news recently but the good part is more and more bad guys are going down from armed home owners willing to protect their families. The news medias are finally talking about the good side of homeowners owning guns. The more the good guys win the less the bad guys might be willing to slow down on home invasions.................jmho

Well I am sure he can give you a shopping list of reasons what it is for and none of them will be accurate or even close to accurate but he will spout the out anyway because he has not real proof behind anything he says. Every one of his statistics are totally wrong about every thing related to guns. Every time i walk in to a gun store to purchase a gun I pay 10 bucks, fill out the form and a back ground check is performed before i can purchased to gun. Hello!!!!! yet he says NO!! back ground checks are being done. I think his issue is no registrations are being done along with the back ground checks and that is his goal................jmho

Well the Murder charges to date are going to the guy in the hospital and have not hear if there will be any charges for the bullet through neighbors window. I think if the neighbor does not file any I doubt there will be any and just will have to pay to have the damage to her home repaired. Hope that it the way it happens..................jmho

He has to say something which in most cases his mouth is moving but same old bull crap flows from it over and over. He is running out of any new stuff and the guys that do the writing on his teleprompters are running out of things to program them with. His dream of getting the guns from all of the Americans are just that. Dreams!!! The American people are not the Australians and we have not plans of doing such a stupid thing as they did. We were able to keep the Imperial Japanese Army off our shores in 1941 because they fear all of the Americans with guns back them. Today there are 1000 times that many more American gun owners than there was in 1941. He can push that pen all he wants but he cannot bypass the Constitution of the United States with it and he cannot over ride the decisions of the United States Supreme Court with it so just what can he really do but run his mouth is my question? If I am not mistaken his ratings are still in the fruit cellar.............jmho  

I hope it is also against the guy in the hospital but then we talking about St Louis here and a lot of will depend on if it took place in East St Louis which is in Illinois or in West St Louis  which is in Missouri. Two different states with two totally different gun laws. Lets hope it is west St Louis. The News media didn't make it clear on that. Dad was definitely taking care of business but sounds like Mom needs little more time at the range. Hope they keep it in the news till it is settled but since it might be 1 for the good guys they might kill it quick..............jmho

I think a lot of it is because the news medias almost makes shooter/Shooters celebrities by the way they sensationalize them regardless of whether it is a major event or a random shooting or a drive by where someone is killed it is not just local news any more. They all seem to make a national broadcast. If the news medias would begin down playing them a little and not making celebrities out of them it might have a slowing effect. They are almost to blame because they cannot wait for the next one to happen so they can see who can cover it the quickest and get the story out first and they have in many instances not had all the correct news so they make it up as they go and recant it later as a mistake.........................jmho   As far as The President and new gun laws and gun registrations. What about the over 800,000 to 1 million guns already out there? Many of them in the hands of felons or gang members already. Are the felons and gang members going to just walk in and voluntarily register their firearms? You bet they are not, but yet that is what he expects all of the law biding citizens to do. The man is living in a Fantasy World. He must think Washington DC is Disney World. Now I guess he knows why a man can get elected to the Office of the President looking young and ready but comes out looking old gray haired and worn out. I would not take that job if they gave it to me at age 25 and paid me 5 times what they are paying right now.........................jmho 

Yea we had a bomb shelter in back yard when I was a kid and dad and mom kept it stocked with food and water and would rotate it from time to time but really in all reality how many people would survive a true nuclear war in back yard air raid shelter?. And even if you did survive the blast would you survive long enough under ground for radiation to clear. I think not. Look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There was nothing left except ashes and those were crude Nukes. Figure how far they have advanced since then. If the first nuke is ever fired from a country at another Country just sit down, tuck your head between your legs and kiss your butt good bye because that will be when God fulfills the second destruction of the earth which he promised would be by fire. The difference this time is he will let man destroy man on their own with fire as he predicted. And to think the creation of that devastating weapon was actually discovered 5 miles from my home in Lemont, Illinois at the Argonne National Laboratory where they split the first atom ............jmho

I agree JWC that they did have a different agenda. Just not sure what it was and will never know because they are dead. But this is the first time I have heard the title "The Revolution has began." used Normally a revolt has more than two people in it. Now does this mean there are others out there planning the same type of action striking out in small numbers like this. It is a possibility and only time will tell that. I would say for now most everyone might want to raise there alertness to maybe Def-con 3 for a short time. Yea. it happened in Vegas but doesn't mean it will remain in Vegas..................jmho

I don't know exactly how I would have reacted to the situation but I do know i would not have ran and hid if I was locked and loaded. His only mistake was not knowing how many shooters he had to confront and how many would have guessed a woman was this shooters partner? Everyone that has said there is something to learn from this is totally correct. Lesson one is never assume anyone is friendly at that point and check out every person you encounter for weapons before moving on to the next. I am assuming she waited till he passed her and then shot him in the back as most cowards would do. What this man did do is make them change their plans because at that point they were unaware of just how many more people in the store may be armed so they in turn went to the rear of the store and waited for the police to arrive before committing murder suicide on  themselves thus ending their short lived revolution....................jmho

Can anyone say RIP-OFF. If I was in the 1st or 2nd grade or ever higher grades and they gave me one of those things and told me that if a shooter comes into my school they want me to hide behind it. I would throw it down and run screaming out of the school terrified that they think a shooter was coming to my school.  When are these idiots going to quit trying to profit off of fear of children and parents and when are the local school systems going to really put safe guards programs together that make since? If a guy showed up at my school pedaling these things and I was the principal I would escort him out of my school with the recommendation he never return. My Children are all grown and I only have one grandchild in the third grade of the school he attends and they have 3 resource officers in the school every day while children are there. In the upper level schools they also have two or more resource officers in them and at all Sporting events held there are as many as 5 Uniformed officers at all of them. The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. That has been proven more times than not. I would rather my school system spend that kind of money on resource officers than blankets that will only scare the children......................jmho 

I also don't believe in the cameras at stop lights that can write you a ticket and as far as speed traps go where  live they don't have them a lot but they will have them when people complain about people driving to fast through neighborhoods where many children are playing. Also as far as check points, about the only time they have those around here is on holiday weekends when the drunks are out in numbers behind the wheel which is dangerous as far to many drunk drivers have killed people in the past. I have not seen any of the old drivers license and registration check point in years but then I don't drive as much as I use to either. I know some folks have a low feeling about LEO's but I wonder what it would be like if we didn't have them. I don't think it would a good idea to just not have them. It would be like the riots of the 60's and 70's every day......................jmho

Self inflicted injuries for which i have no mercy for. I honestly don't think a lot of them have even given that a thought and to be honest if it does happen I have no doubt it will be woman with young children and a ccw and just reacts as a mother would to protect her children but once that round leaves the barrel you cannot stop it from hitting what it is pointed at and I for one would not hold the mother at fault in her decision to protect her children first and foremost  .............jmho

Yea, except for the ones that are such cowards like  Jared Lee Loughner  that opened fire in the Mall that killed several including a few children and injured Gabby Gifford and the movie theater shooterJames Eagan Holmes, that killed so many and wounded many more. They were such cowards they could not even kill themselves. Instead our tax dollars will upkeep them for the rest of their lives. Unless that is someone kills them in prison like they did that mass murderer Jeffery Dahmer in Michigan Prison. Prison Justice, Swift and Permanent!!! I guess I should not say this but we can only hope.....................jmho

My dog is very happy right now out laying under the boat in the carport. It will be staying here when son in law is not fishing as he has no building to put it in but planning on building a garage for it.
