I was going to mention that the loud noise you heard was probably a bearing in the electric motor was locking up and making a  loud squealing knocking sound. That will also cause the belt to have a smell as motor puller was causing belt to drag over pulleys..... :up: :up:

The way the Fed has been printing money I think they have changed the bills 3 times since 08 and I have about 4 or 5 different nickle hits and about the same number of quarter hits with changes in them but no change as far as I can tell in dimes but Pennies are different also. I keep my change in a coin separator that when it gets full it lights up and I will roll that coin and when I get enough I go to the bank with it and just deposit it so I notice all the different kinds on stamps as they have changed over past few years. I keep waiting for something to get minted or printed with existing President on it but have seen anything yet..........jmho

Yea, that would fall under same law as screaming fire in a movie theater and any one that gets hurt or possibly killed in the stampede they can be changed with second degree murder and if no one gets killed then numerous charges of reckless endangerment and aggravated assault and spend many years in prison for their stupidity. He could be charged in the same way. Because just because their are guns. If he yells shots fired and there is none then he goes bye bye. Thing is all of the people that may be armed need to have their weapons on the ground and hands in the air so the swat team and the LEO's responding don't begin shooting first and then asking questions if they see people with guns at a shots fired 911 call location............................jmho.

ok, answered my own question on Feds. Every time a TICS check is run it automatically goes through the NICS system also so the Feds do get the same request the TBI gets.   From TBI Site:   TBI Instant Check System (TICS) In response to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, the Tennessee State Legislature incorporated the federal legislation into the Tennessee gun transfer statute with an amendment. The TBI Instant Check System (TICS) began operation on November 1, 1998. This amendment requires that TBI establish and maintain a background check system that meets or exceeds the requirements established by the Brady Act for continuing recipient background checks on all firearm transactions except those specifically excluded by law. The TICS Unit runs a check including a National Instant Check System (NICS) check on a prospective gun purchaser from a licensed firearm dealer or to redeem a firearm from pawn from a licensed firearm dealer. To meet the federal and state requirements, TICS accesses the following databases:

They won't have to keep it a secret if ATF/FBI and NSA have hacked in TBI computer system cause they will get it same time TBI does and even if TBI does destroy them doesn't mean ATF/ FBI does not have them. I got a ticket one time for doing 73 in 45 speed zone at 3AM on the way to a fishing Tournament LEO was hid in a car lot. one of the oldest tricks ever. Could have taken me to jail but lucky he was a bass angler also and saw the boat behind my truck. Wrote me a ticket for excessive speed with no numbers so he would be able to turn me lose. Got home that night and read the back of the ticket the next morning with coffee what the fine was for the offense. $55.00.  Then right at the bottle of the ticket it said, "No Checks accepted." I thought I am not driving back 140 miles to pay this ticket. I wrote a check to City Court Clerks Office the next day with a copy of the ticket. 3 days later my check cleared the bank with the clerks stamp on the back of the check. Yea, they don't accept checks alright. With the government, big city , small town, County, state, Federal , money talks and bull crap walks. They got what they wanted. Just don't have a hot tube and drop it cause there is a good chance it will go bang at least once and maybe twice when it hits the ground on any hard surface. Saw it happen a couple times over the years and anytime I went to a range and there was a shooter there with one I would leave and come back later or go to another range nearby.

Yea. I have been told that the TBI destroys all of the approved 4473's at 10Pm every day but I have never really believed that to be true. My guess has been that ATF has also always received a copy of it also and they don't destroy them every night at 10PM. And you can bet another thing. They will not lose them like the IRS lost about a million emails and documents requested by the committee investigating them either.............jmho

Harley Davidson is coming very close to building a Crotch Rocket which will appeal very well with the younger generations that are looking for a Bike to ride. Indians are back and they have that Spyder 3 wheeler out there which I saw my first one of those on the road the other day. Harley is realizing that the generations that love the traditional Hogs are going by the way side as time passes by so does traditions. I have a buddy that still rides a Hog but has his sweet heart parked in his living room. # 5 of the 100 Bikes built on the100th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson. He put his order it and paid for it 2 years before they began building them to get a number below #10 and got # 5. It has I think 3 miles on it as he trailer-ed it home from Boswells.   He is my age and up until this year rode often but I have noticed he is slowing down and the bike he is riding he has kept longer than any he has every had so either he likes it a lot or he is not planning on riding as much. That's my guess. I think his old body it giving him those little indicators telling him to "quit beating me up!".........................jmho

I think you have 3 days in the state of Tennessee to return a purchase and I would take it back and when they ask why your returning it I would tell them and also show them. Also why would they need to mark it as new if it  had a box and all the bells and whistles you get with a new gun? Paper work and warranty information and stuff. Did you get all of that with the purchase?

Well, the main reason I quit going to KFC here locally is because I must go there when the chicken has been cooked forever and it dried out and tough. Many times at their drive up when you order a bucket of chicken, say a 10 piece you end up with 1 breast and two thighs and the rest wings and legs. Several times I went and ordered a bucket and got zero breasts.  I will admit I went yesterday being Fathers day and I wanted to eat it while I watched the race. Went and ordered a bucket meal of original 10 piece. Got up to the window and paid for it and then the girl told me it would be 8 minutes to finish cooking original and could I pull up and park and they would bring it out. About 10 minutes later she comes out and says there was no breasts left in that last batch and it would be another 12 minutes till the next batch was done and walked back inside. I waited about 15 minutes and my order finally arrived. I got home and it had 1 breast, 1 thigh, and the rest wings and legs. Because the race was about to start I said screw it and just ate what they gave me but I did call up and speak with manager about it. He apologized and said that they are extremely busy with Fathers Day inside the store trying to keep the buffet full of chicken and I said that was a pretty lame excuse for screwing over the drive up window folks.  He again apologized and told me that my next trip would be on the store and cost me nothing and said if I would please come inside my next trip and ask for him personally and he would handle it himself. I will go back at least once more to get my free Bucket of chicken Dinner but after that it will be iffy...............jmho

I have quit going for to many reasons to list but this is just adding icing for reasons to not go back in the future. Now with that being said. I think there was a certain amount of stupidity on the part of the employee/manager if they did actually ask this little girl and her grandmother to leave the KFC Store. Also in the article it stated they the grandmother and little girl only stopped there to get some mashed potatoes and gravy on the way home from the hospital because the little girl was limited on what items she could swallow. What was the real reason to take the little girl into the restaurant for mashed potatoes when they have a drive up window where she could have picked up the order from without exposing the little girl to what took place. Stupid Grandmother also. I would not have put my granddaughter on display or use her to get attention. There may have been other alternatives for the grandmothers actions and she may have got what she was wanting. Who knows? But things just seem to not add up as article reads out..................jmho

Lets face the reality that when Bush removed Saddam Hussein from Iraq he destabilized the entire middle East and he was the only real controlling factor in that whole area. Every country over there was afraid of him and he kept folks in line sorta. Iran would not be building Nukes right now if he was still in control...............jmho

Congrads on getting a Bersa and it won't take but a good trip or 2 to a range that has A/C so you can focus more on the gun and less of your own discomfort and you will love the gun. Little tweaks you mentioned like night sights will help also.............. :up: :up:

Well I don't ahve issues with anyone that smokes it. A lot of my friends have for most of their lives. I just enjoy my Jack Black , sometimes on ice and sometimes just for sipping. Normally have a glass every evening to wind down for the day and relax before retiring. My pot comes in a bottle labeled old # 7.................. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I called DIsh and Direct and I guess neither one of them are interested in my business. Both wanted a $300.00 deposit plus a bunch of other charges to install  their equipment. I told them I didn't want to purchase the company. just their service and the would not offer any other plan so I told them i would just stay with my cable since I have had it about 16 years now and I hung up. I'm now sure what cable is planning but they have been awful nice to me the last 6 months. I walked in there to pay my bill and I asked them if they had any plans on adding any new programming to my existing package and the lady looked it up and she took one of their channel programs and marked a whole bunch of new stuff they had just added to my package but didn't bother telling me they added them. I now have a premier package and they dropped my rate from 82.00 to $59.95 for a year. I'm not sure what they are up to but I ain't complaining. That is till I see what they try and do when my year is up so going to get an antenna just in case. I already get NetFlix  DVD's and I can watch as many as I can send back and forth a month 2 at a time for 14.00 a month. Didn't know anything about getting it directly to TV. Not that up on high tech stuff. Might get son in law to look in to it for me next time he comes over..............jmho
