1. Well, I guess my old mind may not be as good as I thought. I just know I had a Plum Purple Dodge Coronet because my brother painted it in his body shop and turned it from white to purple and a buddy of his got the paint for him from a company he worked for called Electromotive and they built train locomotives  and that was one of the colors of  their locomotives they built. It did not match Chrysler's exactly when they put theirs out. They had a little more gold metallic dust in theirs than mine did and i liked theirs better but was not going to repaint again...........
2. GTO's came out in 1963 with the 389 six pack. Buddy of mine had one and it was fast. At the same time Pontiac had the Pontiac Tempest with the OHC 6 cylinders or the 326 V-8's.  When I moved down to Tennessee I was driving my 1966 Dodge Coronet that I traded my 65 Cuda on so I could go big block. When I finally got settled in down here I realized I had been moved into the heart of Chevy land by my parents. My Coronet stood out like a sore thumb in high school parking lot of hot rod Chevy PUT's or Chevy cars but then a purple car pretty much stands out any place. It was wearing that Chrysler Plum Crazy that the Road Runners and GTX's had that same year. The same color of Jugheads Avatar picture. Most of the guy in high school were sporting small blocks in 55's 56's and 57 Chevy's. There were a couple 65 Impala's sporting 396's and a few guys got brave and called me out to see if they could beat the ugly purple car. All got their feelings hurt. Has a concrete bridge they raced on that was exactly 1/8th mile and only thing they had that got close was a 67 396 Chevelle but I had a 100 Hp on him from the factory before my add-on's which was Tunnel ram twin 650 dual pumpers and Isky Cam and lifters. Man I can remember those days like they were yesterday but have trouble remembering what I had for supper last night now also.....................
3. i figured it might bring back a few fond memories. I know it did for me even though I was not a real Chevy guy. I was a Mopar freak and began my life of driving at age 16 with a 32 Ford 3 window suicide door Ford coupe w/ 392 Hemi power plant with 2 AFB carbs and a 456 9inch Ford hog head rear gear and Hurst 4 speed with monkey shifter. Second car was a  65 Hurst Cuda Fish. Was a Mopar guy for life............
4. I'm sure one or two of these sweet rides will bring back a few fond memories..They did for me!!!        http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=ZpmZtSIkfTk&feature=player_embedded
5. Am I missing something here? She wants you to fight for her by getting a job when the guy in Michigan is also unemployed according to your original post. So she will dump a guy she as been with and talking marriage to but wants him to get a job to keep her or she will drop him for another guy with out a job that is 800+ miles away. I say buy her a 1 way ticket to where ever the guy in Michigan lives and let her tell him to fight for her by getting a job.................JMHO
6. That is a great tribute to our country for sure................
7. Man eating Blue Gills!!!!!!
8. Yep, The FEDs have not had a lot of things going their way in the courts here recently and this is just another case of taking a little more of their bullying away. In all honesty I think the Federal Courts are finally getting tired of having all these cases in front of them that go against the very Constitution they swore to uphold when elected............jmho
9. Here is a picture of my Marlin 25MN with a Tasco 3 x 12 x 40 on it and it's a tack driver at 50 yards and would probably be at longer distances but that is what it is sighted for at present. Great shooting gun for sure.
10.
11. Don't feel bad about it. Yea It hurt but I have had to put down a few over my lifetime and I won't allow them to suffer and think of myself instead of what is best for them. I am always in the room with them and letting them know I am there as they go to sleep. I always bring them home and bury them in air tight vacuum sealed plastic container with their favorite blanket. I have laid 3 to rest with him being the last but they all lived long lives and all were spoiled rotten with love...........................
12. Ok my mistake..........lol  the state judges was what I meant. It was the first time I had ever seen judges on a ballot anyway. Are those the judges that were picked by Bredesen or before him? My memory sucks but I bet you already figured that out huh? I keep posti-note in business. I still voted no to changing them............Don't see any since in breaking what ain't broke.............. :hiding: :hiding: :hiding:
13. Gosh was glad to see this thread cause I was getting ready to start one about it. The only Judges ads I have seen are the three Federal Judges and even though they are Democrats they have pretty much maintained a stable judicial system at the Federal level and this is the first time judges have ever been on a ballot I do believe. I also voted to keep them as I have found no fault in anything they have done to date. We don't really have many Federal issues that I hear about that are negative and they don't seem to be all that far left but are more middle of the road types I think. Hope I did right but voted the way I felt they have done their jobs. Maybe now that they know they could be placed on a ballot and removed and are Blue bloods in a Red Blood state it may just get them thinking if they don't get on the ballot that they need to stay on the road they have been on cause it kept them off the ballot screen............jmho
14. Is she colored blind or did her fashion person take the day off?????    Beige outfit Yellow Purse and Pink Shoes?????.........
15. Yea, he did get his share of attention if I took him out with me. He was definitely a ladies man cause women were really attracted to him. I guess it was that he was so ugly he was cute to them. I had him his entire life and had to bottle feed him from birth and had him about 16 years before I have to have him put down after a  heart attack he suffered. He is buried in my back yard here.
16. That was a great promotion for sure..............Loved it.......................
17. There is a lot of things our Constitution provides for us but that does not mean we have to go around parading them to the world everyday just to draw attention to ourselves. As for me. when I am out in the public I want to be as invisible as possible and just take care of the business I have left my home to take care of and then I want to get back home and know I am in a safe place once again..............jmho
18. LOL...........I don't know about the T-shirts or the pan cakes but back years ago when wife was still alive it was nothing for one of use to get a buzz for some great fudge but Chattanooga was closer and we would pile in the custom van and in about 2 hours be on top of Look out Mountain in a fudge shop buying  5-6 lbs of fudge and then driving back to Nashville. Even in the dead of Winter if the erge hit we were off to Choo Choo town for fudge..............
19. How about just teaching the children to not touch the guns or putting the guns in a safe location out of access from children. That has seemed to work well when done properly for years.............jmho
20. I wonder if the charts were put up on how many people died by guns verses how many people died by botched surgeries or bad diagnosis and giving people wrong medications which killed the patients. Which charts would be higher in numbers?.........jmho
21. I don't know about hospitals but my doctors office is not posted and every person that works in her office has a carry permit and is armed including her. She paid for them all to get their permits after attending classes on gun handling and safety. She ahs been my doctor for about 15 +years now and we talked about this about 4 years ago. She said she had no issues with her patients being armed........
22.   there will probably be some but I would guess most people are locked in a mortgage that would make it hard for them to just up and leave to follow job. I'm sure there will be some that either rent of have a family member that can stay and sell the house but having a house mortgage in two states could be tough..............jmho. The state of New York has lost so much industry that they have began offering a ZERO TAX for 10 Years program to try and attract business to New York State. no sales tax, business tax or property taxes for 10 years. Now knowing New York as I do since I know a lot of folks that have moved from there I hope every company that looks at that deal reads all that really extra very small print that is going to be hid in that contract somewhere.............jmho
23. Maybe they fired him because when he discharged his weapon he missed hitting the bad guy. Maybe if he were a better shot they would have kept him employed................jmho
24. That is funny for sure...............
