  1. Their radar probably does not specify the type of aircraft but just an aircraft at 33, 000 feet so shoot it down and we will see what it is plus they probably were not in communications with the aircraft because they most likely would not be monitoring civilian radio transmissions and when they tried to talk to the air craft and they did not respond it must be the enemy. One of those Shoot first and ask questions later deals!!!!!!  But that also depends on if it was actually shot down or blown up in the air with a  bomb on the plane.............jmho
  2. I don't see where we really need to do anything about it. We did not shoot it down, it did not land and scatter bodies all over American soil, No one is blaming us for it being shot down. If you want to blame someone lets blame the stupid airlines cause they lost a plane that was never found and then they send a flight right across the air space of countries at war that has had several aircraft shot down in last couple days including 2 yesterday and the airlines does not divert it to a safer route around the area in question. Now that is STUPID!! Now, with that said no one is claiming they did it so there is a chance it could have been a bomb on the aircraft that blew it apart in flight. I think they will eventually find out but like I said. We don't need to do anything except keep our noses out of it and let Russia tell the world what happened since they are the ones supplying these so called missiles used in the first place and they have already offered to help....................jmho
  3. Well, It had to happen sooner or later and today it happened. A Civilian airlines with 295 people on board was shot down over Ukraine killing all aboard. Neither side says they did it but eye witnesses say they saw the missile in flight before hitting the aircraft. With two planes shot down there yesterday in same area but they were military aircraft. Why would a civilian aircraft fly into and active war zone is beyond me................jmho
  4. Maybe the Republicans will do just that in September and over ride his Veto...............jmho
  5. Haslam is beginning to remind me more and more like that guy in the White House with his politics. He says one thing but means something entirely different. Haslam has been caught dirty in several scandals and yet he still hold his office without any discussions at all about removing him just like in DC....................jmho
  6.   The few times I have had to leave my Kasey with people they are people that she has shown in the past that she likes and plays up to and will go let them rub her old fat belly. That is a privilege very few people are offered. If she will walk over to a person and roll over on her back and allow them to rub her belly she approves of them and that is only about 4 of the many friends I have. Dogs know who they like and who they just tolerate and those they dislike completely.   Very glad you got her back as she look like she is precious and a good companion in the picture......
  7. Maybe she didn't like who you put her in care of while gone and was just hiding and waiting for you to come back home before showing herself. I have heard of that happening before with other dogs. Sure glad everything turned out for you well and your best friend is back home. ...................
  8. Well, I have never eaten any dillo and don't plan to any time soon but I  have eaten some really strange things in my life in the jungles of Southeast Asia back in the late 60's early 70's and was glad to get them. I watched a few of these survival programs on TV and seen a few things that they passed up eating that were rather tasty if they would have tried them.............jmho
  9. Just trying to make sure they meet their quota of spending their entire budget so it does not get cut next year and was probably the only excuse they could come up with in a hurry of something they didn't already have................jmho

    Papa Johns

I have tried to find a good Sicilian pizza joint around middle Tennessee and there are a lot of them that claim to be but since I grew up in Chicago till 1967 and know a good Sicilian pizza. I gave up years ago and just quit eating pizza made down here. I have a buddy that drives a refer 18 wheeler and makes trips to Chicago 3 times a month and he brings me back large pizza's from Home Run Pizza that is located behind Wrigley Field. He calls me from there and I place my order and he puts them in his freezer unit of the truck and brings them to me on his way through cause he has to come right through Gallatin going to Smyrna..........    I do wish I could find a real Sicilian Pizza joint around here that actually knows what really good Italian sausage is!!!!
  11. I have decided to not even try this because my head already hurts just trying to think about which one is my favorite......... :surrender: :surrender:
  12. That should drain one about every time I would think.........................
  13. I live in Gallatin and we have a no firearm ordinance here also but I have a buddy that has a pellet gun and he was having issues with squirrels and rabbits and he removed screens on certain storm windows screens of his house and eliminated all his issues buy shooting from inside the house to the outside and neighbors could not hear the pellet gun when he fired it. I don't know if a BB gun would kill a rabbit but a pellet gun sure will and squirrels to. Not advising any one do this but just saying what he did to remedy his problems and protect his garden.............jmho
  14. We get very little oil from Iraq. In fact it was just announced the other day that America is now the #1 oil producing country on earth surpassing Saudi Arabia in production yet we are seeing our gas prices go up every day at the pumps. I think Oil needs to be removed from the Commodities Trading Market on Wall Street so big money has no control about driving the prices up and down when ever they get ready. If we are the biggest producer of oil in the world why is it that a gallon of gas in Saudi Arabia in 35 cents and a cost of a gallon of gas in Venezuela is 25 cents and no l producing country has gas price any where near a dollar yet were are stuck paying $3.50 + per gallon. ........................
  15. 16's worked great in the jungles of Southeast Asia on full auto because you wanted to spray the jungle and put as many rounds out  down range into the jungle as possible. I don't know how effective they are in open desert on full auto but I would guess not as effective as in the jungle..................jmho   I think several years ago they began sending and issuing M14's to anyone going to fight in the sand countries. 14's were found to be more dependable in the sand.............jmho
  16. My Buddy that has a coupe Tokarev's went out to a friend of mines small salvage yard about a year ago to  give the bullets a real test. He was shoot Spam can Army Surplus from the Czech Republic. His first test was a car shooting into drivers door at 25 feet. It went through drivers side out passengers door through car door next to the first car  and out the 4th door striking the car next to it in the door and falling on the ground. Second test was 6 cylinder Ford inline 6 cylinder stood up on end that had been gutted of all working parts. Backed up about 30 feet and got behind a car with the windows down and he shot through 2 open windows striking the engine block dead center almost knocking it over and the only reason it did not go over was because it knocked a hole in the back side about 5 inches across when the bullet exited the block. Now that is an awesome load for a hand gun and to think many of the Russian troops are still packing them on their sides. I laugh every time I was that movie with Arnold and Jim Belushi when Jim pulls out a 44 mag and says, this is the most power hand gun made and Arnold pulls out a Tokarev  and says no, this is the most powerful hand gun made......................   My buddy has his looking slim and trim and very nice looking guns. They looking more like a 1911 just a little longer barrels.
  17. I have a buddy that owns two Tokarev's and he also shoots a couple Colt 45 ACPs he has and you can definitely tell when he switches to the Tokarev in the range even wearing good muffs. He is very accurate with both of to Tokarev's and said is by far the most enjoyable gun he owns to shoot. You can also tell when he goes from shooting the new 7.62x25 ammo verses the ammo he bought several years back in old Russian military loads.................jmho
  18. When I look at the world today I get anxious if I go out and don't have my carry weapon on me. So I don't leave home with out at least one and sometimes 2 depending on where my travels may take me..........jmho....
  19. I don't know why the ever moved away from the 45 ACP. Stupid does as stupid is I guess. The 45 worked for them very well for many years. "If it ain't broke you don't fix it."............................jmho      Then there is always the 7.62x25 like the Russian Tokarev .....................jmho
  20. I think in most of the mass shootings to date in the more modern times the mentally ill person killed family members that owned the weapons and then took the weapons out to commit most of the shootings so there is really no way to prevent that unless the parents of that person makes sure they cannot gain access to the weapons which again is a major hurdle to overcome..........jmho     Also there have been people that provided warning that they were mentally troubled such as the Colorado theater shooter who sent letters the Psychologist at the college and I think she either failed to act or got the letters to late. Can't remember? But he purchased all the guns and ammo and passed all back ground checks. The Shooter in Arizona that shot all those folks including that little girl and Gabby Gifford also passed back ground check and purchased the guns and ammo used. Back ground checks did not prevent either one of those shootings or even turn on any warning lights.................jmho
  21. I know it was a totally political move which ever way you look at it but at least if he had to piss off someone  I am glad it was the ANTI Gun folks and not the Pro gunners. I won't vote for him either because I also believe he is a Wolf in Sheep's clothing...............jmho
  22. Governor vetoed gun legislation that was sent to his desk for signing that would limit magazine sizes to 10 rounds.   http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/02/chris-christie-gun-magazine-veto_n_5553403.html
  23. Yea, I guess I could use shorter sentences sometimes...................
  24. Well, except for the fact that it goes against the grain of the Constitution and the right to bare arms plus it goes against the legal codes of the states that do allow a person to legally carry a firearm concealed or otherwise it doesn't bother me one bit that Target were Gun Free Zone because I have only been in one of their stores one time and was looking for their fishing section and I was informed they didn't have one so never went back and don't ever plan to plus adding that target is owned by a French Corporation located in France.................jmho
  25. Nice gun if you want to stop a car coming at you at 50 MPH and kill the driver by shooting them through the engine block or hitting them with the engine block...................
