Not sure but back in some of the posts I read that he gave them to his father. I think a great deal of all of that depends on timing as I think one person mentioned. If in deed he gave and his father took possession of said firearms before his trial and conviction, Then the firearms legally belong to his father because he is presumed Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Meaning he no longer had them and if father got guns before court conviction. his father can legally sell them because they are his to do with as he pleases in a legal way. ...................jmho

I opened the door to let my old dog out and when I opened the dog she started to go out and then put it in reverse and backed back in the door and just looked up at me as if to be saying YOU REALLY WANT ME TO GO OUT THERE??? I told her she did not have to go and she went and found one of the A/C vents to lay in from of.  Weather advisory just came across the screen of TV flashing the Temps and heat index here in Gallatin. I am guessing that the town is not big enough to have anything or anyplace left to loot so the guy with the knife loses and does not get the attention he was wanting. He did get shot like he wanted because he asked them to do that. Ay one that brings a knife to a gun fight has a really great big EGO, Zero Brain Cells working or a Death Wish..............jmho

I have been in a few cases over the years were I exchanged gun fire with another person or two and when you have in coming all you can do in return is send out going in hopes that you strike your target before they strike theirs in some cases and yea, you do have a few rounds in that type of situation that may go astray but when you fighting for your life that is the farthest thought from your mind unless you do have enough time to get a look at what may be behind the person trying to kill you. At that point you might and I say might change or alter your technique and maybe you won't. #1 is you and or your family.................jmho 

I have never lived there but have family there and all of them are looking to move as soon as they can find a place in the South. They are totally unhappy there and most of them grew up there and now they hate it and they are.................... :leaving:

It sounds like a very similar round that is fired from the Tokarev Russian pistol which is 7.62X25 round which will also go threw plate steel in a similar manner.................jmho

That is true of anyone that discharges his/her firearm whether by accident or on purpose. In this case it appears that every round fired by the officer found their mark in the Perp. I don't know if 6 rounds was required to do the job but if it were me and I had 12 or more rounds in my gun and I was just beat half way to death by a 300+ pound gorilla of a man trying to kill me I probably would have continued firing till my gun went click signalling my firearm was empty................jmho

Anyone been watching the little League World Series. I have made it a point to watch it last couple years. man those kids can play some great baseball and I enjoy watching them a lot more that the grown up games. Those kids play 100% with their hearts. Two game on today and it wraps up this weekend............... :up: :up:

I avoid school parking lots and even most school zones when and if at all possible. If the lights are flashing I might even turn around and go in another direction. When my kids graduated I was done with schools and thrilled to be done with them............jmho

I have often wondered how many times a Black Police Officer has shot and killed a white person. Reason I am curious is because we never have any riots, looting and violence that lasts for weeks to refer to. Yet every time a black person is shot and killed by a white person we always have riots , looting and weeks of violence to refer back to. Rodney King beating cost L.A. many square blocks of buildings burned to the ground and riots and looting. Shooting of Trevon Martin we see riots and looting and nights of violence and unrest.  Now we have Michael Brown shot by a white police officer in what appears to be a self defense/arrest for a robbery and beating of the officer prior to the shooting and the only two witnesses is the criminals accomplice in the robbery and the beaten police officer. Of course we also have the normal reaction of the African American people with their riots, looting and violence that continues for at least a few weeks destroying other peoples property. Thing is many of these people doing the looting and rioting drive hundreds of miles to do this and make things 10 times worse. Is it a situation of maybe they don't have enough trouble makers there so we will go help????? Some one please explain this to me..................jmho

Maybe it is not th   Maybe it is not the times that have changed but maybe the kids. As much as I loved and love my two sons. I was thrilled to see them grow up and find out what they wanted in life and go for it as long as it meant moving out of my house. I have helped my son a few times when things got rough in life but if they never get out do they ever grow up? Going to college is much better that going in the military at the present time for sure..............jmho

Well, lets see. When I had the new engine put in my 1997 Jeep Cherokee by my son I had him put Mobil 1 oil in and a Mobil 1 oil filter. That was 5 years ago and have not had it changed since. Jeep had 138,750 when new motor was installed and mileage now is 141,780. At the rate I am putting miles on the Jeep I figure it will be 2018 before my next oil change will be required............jmho

They had the deer issue on the news the other night. They were saying that the deer situation in Hendersonville Tennessee is totally out of control and they are looking at different solutions to deal with the problem. I live in the city of Gallatin and I have deer in my back yard a couple times in the last week and that is a first for me and I have lived here 16 years in November. I have a really think fence row between me and my neighbor behind me and it is very tall so deer can hide in is pretty easy. If I continue to see them I will buy some food and feed them this winter just as I do all the other critters I have. I feed rabbits pellets and apples I get from Krogers that have gone bad and they are throwing out. Deer will eat those also. I have 5 squirrel feeders up that I buy whole Kernel corn for and I will mix it with raw unsalted peanuts and acorns that i collect at a buddy's house with my shop vac. he has two big Oaks in his back yard and his patio, walkways and driveway are full of acorns. I can fill a 5 gallon shop vac twice and it will last the Winter. If the deer stay I might fill it 3 times because deer like acorns too. I go through about 80 lbs of bird seed a Winter also but they are so enjoyable to sit and watch in winter on the feeders....................jmho 

I have a few issues with going to any Walmart, new, old or in between. One issue I think they have finally began to address which I am thrilled about and that is they are moving back to trying to buy and sell Products made in the USA and are even working with new companies opening up in America to buy there goods and services. That I like. Now the two issues I have which have not been addressed and I have brought them to the attention of the manager more than once. The main one is that the fast lane 20 items or less isles are seldom open with a live person and people are forced to either wait in long lines with full carts ahead of them or use that "Do It Yourself" check out isles. I refuse to use those for 2 reasons. 1 is I don't like to do it my self and 2 is those type of isles take away a living persons job and when I am spending my money I want a live person to do the transaction with and not so cold uncaring greedy money machine. Also, I have noticed that the employees at my local Wally World have been a lot nicer recently than in the past.............jmho

I would not care if you had a group of people that wanted to have a neighborhood bonfire and roast Marsh mellows, your going to have someone that is against it. There will always be those people that will find something wrong with everything. I have no respect for the OC people in Texas for their actions but I will fight with my dying breath their right to do what they do as long as it is a legal action and within the boundaries of our Constitution. I don't have to agree with it but like the person that objects to the bonfire I don't have to approve of it. As far as the " NEW" Black Panthers which I never knew that the old ones went away go, they have as much right to show up with their guns as do the OC group as long as they are legal to own said long guns. In all reality it should not be a race issue at all. It should be strictly a Constitutional event and not a racial one. Can that be allowed to happen? It would be interesting to see if it could or not but not at the cost of someones life...............jmho

Black Pepper is an old circle track race car trick I use probably a 100 times to seal up small leaks. Sometimes takes a couple cans but it works. Not very good on seam leaks though................... :up:
