  1. You know what they say about a "Woman Scorned"      This one has been corned, boned, Screwed, Blued and Tattooed so a woman scored s only the tip of the Ice berg here. This is probably going to get bloody before it's over................jmho
  2. Where did I miss this at??????
  3. Well, I think I got my questions answered and for the most part most folks do agree they look almost alike. That is what makes it so hard for an eye witness in a crime scene to identify the car even if they are 20 feet away. If they don't see the license plate of cars emblem all they can said is color which can also be tough and  4 door or 2 door. I have also been doing a study on car colors. and someone mentioned  Reds, Blues, Blacks and Whites are main colors. I drove through 25 different dealerships brands Foreign and domestic and White is # 1 but # 2 color is Champagne, #3 Silver #4 Black #5 Red and # 6 was blue. Yea I do have an exciting life as I know most of ya'll are already saying. But my Dog enjoys riding and hanging out back side windows barking at the cows and horses in pastures. She gets bored quick in car lots..................Thanks for the replies.................JMHO
  4. Well, not going to argue with you about my 90 GMC 4.3 because I know what I did and what I got out of the truck. I bought it with 10 miles on it and I know what I spent on it and I know I did put 3 transmissions in it because the 700 R - 4 trannys were not really all the good for pulling boats. Oil and filter  was changed every 3,000 tune up every 50,000, 5 sets of valve cover gaskets (due to poor design with 2 bolt rather than 4 bolt design) 7 sets of brakes and 6 sets of tires. I know what my fuel mileage was because while fishing bass tournaments on tour I had to keep up with mileage and miles on truck for tax purposes. Truck had 30 gallon tank and I went from Greenbrier Tennessee to Tyler Texas which was 636 miles miles and I put 21.4 gallons of gas in the truck with the boat on the back so you do the numbers. As far as timing chain is concerned they have an oil pressure controlled tensioner which automatically takes up chain slack protecting from gear damage and they also had steel gears and not nylon. Guy I sold the truck to drove it another year locally before he restored it and had the motor replaced. Was going to rebuild it but his mechanic told him that everything inside the motor was worn totally out and to rebuild would be iffy so he replaced the motor with a factory GM target motor built in Memphis. ...........................
  5. Sounds like it should be fun. Looking forward to a fishing report and pictures when you return................
  6. Yea and 1999 had the multiport injection and 4.3 and were great trucks but still couldn't get the mileage that Throttle body Fuel injection could get...........jmho
  7. I never considered it a stigma because there was always a few people that were down on their luck and really needed the help getting back on their feet ut they did work and get back on their own and no longer need the food and welfare. It's the ones that con everything they can possibly get with not intentions of trying to better them selves that are the leeches and deserve the Stigma. Only thing is first you have to care and have pride about your self and your family before the stigma will bother you and leeches don't have any pride.   Now with that being said they keep talking about our economy is getting better and so many jobs have been filled last month. If that is the case why is the unemployment numbers still going up ?  There was also an increase in the amount of EBT cards needed ...............Oh Wait!!!!   I forgot he had a new class of welfare recipients flowing across our southern border......That must be but all the new cards are for...............my mistake.......................jmho

    Flat Head

Well since I don't know a lot about Harleys I thought they had Pan Heads and indians had the Flat Heads and I really thought he was talking about Old 50s Fords and Mercury's with the Flat head 8's with the 3/4 cam and 3 deuces..............
  9. Good luck, have fun and load the boat..........................
  10. There are very few imports in America any more MAC, Just about every auto maker has a factory here now and most have factories and brought their home base offices here also. You don't hear any complaints about that fact because they are providing Americans with good jobs but still it is an attempt to take over an American market..................jmho
  11. My guess is they finally found the crack he was in..................jmho
  12. Yep for sure!!!!!!!  I use to have a 1990 GMC 1500 1/2 ton pick up truck. I was parked in a Kroger lot and a guy in a 2012 Chevy 4x2 standard truck pulled in next to mine and parked. When I turned and looked back my truck sitting next to that so called basic 4x2  Chevy truck dwarfs and made mine look like an S-10 setting next to my truck in 1990. I have several friends that own new Fords and one or two Dodges and if they did not have running boards and grab handles to get in them I would not be able to ride in their trucks because I could not get in them and these are basic trucks with nothing special done to them. Now they make a truck that makes my old GMC look like an S-10 and then try and sell you on the fact that they get as good a fuel mileage as my 4.3 liter v-6 got. I hear Ford talking 23 to 25 miles per gallon with their ecoboost V-6.  Buddy of mine has one and he has yet to get 13 on the highway with his. My old  4.3 liter throttle body truck did get 27 on the highway dragging a bass boat and 32 without the boat and that is why I drove 314,000 miles and never pulled the heads or replaced the Timing Chain in the engine. Best truck I ever owned. I guarantee you they don't make um like that any more...............jmho
  13. Yep, there are a few out their that still can be defined pretty easy, Mustangs, Camaro's  Challengers, along with most of the Chrysler lines. Dodge Magnums, Chrysler 300's but then Chrysler has always been a little different and would stand out in a crowd in most cases...................jmho
  14. I think  the auto makers have not had as much concerns over appearance as much and they have zeroed in on accessories and what new magic options they can come up with for the car to do on it's own. Like stop it if your not paying attention, warning your drifting out of your lane. telling you there is a car in your blind spots and so on and so forth. I noticed Chevolet has just began advertising their own Wi-Fi in their GM vehicle including their trucks.............jmho
  15. Comrade Cuomo is losing ground, manufacturing companies, and Jobs at a rate faster then the Presidents popularity polls. People are running from New York in big numbers.................jmho
  16. Well my buddy and his wife are not exactly strangers to her. They have been neighbors for about 3 years and will have get together's  and cook outs on the patio's since they are on ground level. She doesn't mind bragging about what she gets in the way of help from the Government in paying her bills. She says her boyfriend is a bouncer at some fancy bar in down town Nashville and that is why he is gone till middle of the night. So no she does not shout out her personal business but she does not mind telling friends what she gets. I have heard her talk about it while being invited to the grill outs. Her boyfriend is paid in cash so his income is not included in their household finances. I have seen him  take a wad of money out of his pocket to give her to go get more beer at one of the cook outs and all I can say is bouncers job pays really good cause he roll of a Ben Franklin from a wad of them and handed it to her and my buddies wife rode along. The girl does not mind bragging to my buddies wife about how she lives.  Hope this answers your question about how we know about her personal business. And I don't take it personal at all Links. I just listen to people who love to brag about their free rides...........jmho
  17. Well, I am glad someone can tell them apart. I was watching a car commercial on TV the other night and they had a Mercedes, a Mazda and a BMW in the commercial and it turned out to be a VW Jetta commercial and I had to wait till they told what car they were talking about to know who was paying for the commercial................jmho
  18. Yep and even though they won't allow you to buy alcohol and tobacco with the card, you can go to an ATM and take out money and go buy both with the cash so honestly is their anything you cannot buy with an EBT card?????  ................jmho
  19. In all honesty I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they are working understaffed 24/7 and sometimes you fall through the cracks and when they find you they fix it..................jmho
  20. There is no shame if you have a streak of bad luck and you really need the help to get back on your feet. That is for sure and especially if you have a family to care for. I get upset when I go visit a buddy of mine that lives in an Apartment complex that is also section 8 Housing and he and his wife pay $890.00 plus all utilities for 2 bedrooms and put food on the table and both drive average year auto's.     Then you look at his neighbor which is a single girl with 3 kids and she pays 102.00 dollars pays for 3 bedroom, no utilities get $1,390.00 put on her EBT card every month and goes shopping in a fully dressed out Hummer with wheels that cost a $1,000.00 bucks each and sound system that rocks the whole truck and belongs to her live in boyfriend that also has no identifiable source of income. Those are the ones that make me mad.   I think everyone that receives Government subsidies such as Welfare and food Stamps should be required to take a drug test at any time without notice. Agents just show up at your door with a person qualified to draw blood and they pop your blood right there right then and screen it for illegal drugs. If your dirty your done feeding off the sweat and veins of the taxpayers forever period.......................................JMHO
  21. Tennessee does not require boat trailers to have license plates and I know I have pulled through at least 25 states with most of them requiring residents to have them and i never got stopped the first time with no tags on trailer...................
  22. I did an experiment today. I walked out in my front yard with a lawn chair and a pair of binoculars. I sat down with Binoculars in my lap and I was going to see how many cars I could recognize and call by name brand at about 35 feet from road to chair. I had a list of the 12 most popular cars of today. I would guess what brand it was and check mark next to name. Then I would us binoculars to verify my guess. I guessed at almost 250 cars on my two lane road in 3 hours.     Out of all of my guesses I got 11 correct and there was 17 that I never got to see the manufacturers emblem so didn't have a clue what they were. The reason I did this was I have been listening to the local news recently and when a crime is committed and there are witnesses over the last 2 months also doing a survey on this of all the witnesses that saw the get away car which was a total of 42 in 3 month not 1 person could tell you a make or a model.     They could only said it was a white 2 door or 4 door or a dark colored sedan. The only four that the witnesses could identify completely was a Chevy pick up 2 Dodge pick ups and 1 Ford pickup. i have also noticed over the last several years that I cannot tell a Mercedes from a Hyundai or a Toyota from a Nissan.     Does anyone else have these problems identifying different brands of automobiles or is it just folks like me that have not been new car shopping in the last 30 years? Have the auto makers just decided it is easier to copy the competition than it is to employ actual designing engineers to design cars and trucks for them so they can stand out in a crowd?   I use to look forward to the Fall of the year when the new car models would get released for the up coming year. They don't do that any more. They come out with new body styles or new car information all year long now. Now each Fall they all run big money off sales to try and unload the previous  year model cars before what they call the new cars hit the dealerships.     More crimes might get solved if folks drove cars that looked like Fords, Chevie's and Chrysler's of the 50's and 60's. You could at least tell one car brand from another   Ok done with my soap box.....................Someone else's turn.....................JMHO
  23. The Government buys votes with EBT cards..........................JMHO
  24. When food stamps were still in paper form and not on EBT card they had much tougher rules as to what you could purchase on them. You could not purchase any prepared food, no alcohol, tobacco, laundry soap, dish soap, bar soap, Toilet paper or paper towels. It had to be just strictly food products that you took home and prepared. But do you folks honestly think that is how it worked? People were out there buying food stamps from FS recipients for a 1/4 on the dollar with cash. That went on more and more so they decided they could fix that by putting your funds on  the EBT cards but that didn't help anything because people would go shopping for the money people and buy everything on a list given to them and when they delivered the groceries they would receive 1/4 of the amount of the receipt in cash. I know this to be fact because I had a dead beat step son and his wife  that were sellers and I knew the buyers. Anonymous phone call got all that stopped and everyone did some jail time. I think my step son blamed me for it but he never called me out on it. But we have not spoke since his mother passed away either back in 1997. I do know that it was stupid to make it possible to buy just about anything except Alcohol and tobacco on the cards. I think you can even use them in places like McDonald's but don't know that for sure because I don't got to those places very often. Can't afford them. Once a month I splurge and have KFC and live like a king for a day........ ........................jmho
  25.   In all honesty if we went back to the days when most people had to physically work to make a living you would see a lot of people dropping over from heart attacks because a hard days work would kill many people because of their physical conditions. I made my living for many years with hands on hard work and I loved it. I looked forward to waking up and going to work. It almost killed me when I learned from my doctors I could not do it any more. Not being able to perform my job was a lot harder on me both mentally and physically than it was working...........jmho
