  1. I have read this thread 3 times and still draw a blank of what to vote for and all I know now is I need a drink..............jmho
  2. Thanks but I doubt I will be eating there.  If I eat out it is IHOP or I cook my own. Kasey is really getting to fat on Pancakes with all that sweet stuff on them so we have been cutting back some................
  3. Well, they opened up a Panera Restaurant about 1/2 mile up the road from my house. It's been open about 1.5 weeks and I have went by several times and there are no Gun Buster signs on any of the doors or entrances.  Are they still Gun Free or have they changed their minds?     Inquiring mind wants to know. Hate all the new road traffic it has caused also.
  4. Ok, no fair using words I don't know the meaning of and not the old fart part. I know what that is............... :squint:
  5. I don't have a clue>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  6. Well now I am totally :panic: and :hyper: and not sure which way to go. Do I get the shot or not get the shot????? That is the question??? I was all ready to do it till I read some of the posts. As far as having chicken pox when I was a kids. I am going to say there was a 99.9% chance that I did because like I said, there was 5 of us boys all 2 years apart and one of us was always bringing something home as passing it around  generously and many times my Mother was dealing with two of three sick kids at one time. One of my brothers even contracted Polio at age 4 and was one of the first patients to be placed in the Iron Lung in America back years ago and was the youngest to be in one. I don't remember much about it because I was on 2 when he got sick. I do remember as I grew older, going and visiting him in that big round looking shinny tube looking machine. It was only 10 months after he got the Polio that the Vaccine came out and I got introduced to needles cause we all were getting out polio shots. I got 5 in all and I still hate needles to this day but will admit. The needles are smaller and sharper  than they were back in early 50's. I do tolerate them more now at least...............    Don't wanna  get
  7. I think this answer has got to be the answer of the century for game show television..............    https://tv.yahoo.com/tv-in-no-time/wifes-humiliating-answer-family-feud-173408933.html
  8. I read an article that Mr Obama went to a hospital and hugged a couple of the nurses that treated the Americans that managed to live through the encounter in Atlanta . I wonder if he wants to be hugging any more. Speaking of Obama, has anyone seen or heard anything out of his last couple days???? And how about that stupid second nurse along with the CDC. She just gets finished treating a dead guy with Ebola, in Texas flies to Ohio and visits family, develops a low grade fever, calls CDC and they tell her it's ok to fly back to Texas on a plane full of people. I wonder if Obama really thinks his protocol really works as good as he thinks it does and if so I wish he would go hug some nurses in Texas Hospital right quick................jmho   http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/15/obama-ebola-nurses-atlanta_n_5990584.html
  9. Ok, Now I am confused. Did she get Shingles from a CHICKEN POX Vaccine. I didn't know they had a Chicken pox Vaccine?
  10. I can't recommend it for you or not and I would get more information out of my doctors as to just exactly why they do not recommend it and make them explain it in more detail. I have been meaning to ask my doctor but keep forgetting when I am there to ask her. I did manage to remember to get my flu shot from her anyway and didn't have to go to Walgreens like last year. The way I look at it is if there is something out there I can catch that is going to make me feel miserable and be in a lot of pain and there is something out there that will help me avoid it I'm not going to pass up the chance to avoid the pain. That is what makes me so angry about all these doctors that refuse to write any type of pain medication prescriptions. Pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars to create medications that will help keep people out of pain and these holier than thou doctors won't write them for any of their patients. That doctor would see me one time and one time only. Even if I didn't need pain medications. He would not see me again just because of his morals or lack of them......................jmho
  11. Got a trouble link and site won't open
  12. Yea, they don't appear everywhere all over your body but just in patches here and there. I am going to get the shot tomorrow and not take the chance Cost me $3.30 to be safer than trying to take chance I won't get them. My son told me his mother. My first wife has had them 3 or 4 times in last couple years and even though I am not married to her and she did what she did I don't wish her any harm like that. We may be divorced but she is still the Mother of my children and for that I will always respect her.
  13. No offense and I do hope none taken but I think a lot of what you said here does depend on location about 95% and 5% type of dog. I grew up most of my life on a ranch of almost 5000 acres and we always had at least 8 to 10 dogs, Some hunting dogs and some stock working dogs and a few house dogs and were never chained but beagle hounds were fenced in a kennel area about 50 by 50 feet and all had insulated dog houses. Stock dogs ran loose all the time and Coon hounds ran loose all the time. Now with that said.   People that do not live in an area where a dog can have sufficient room to run and remain on their property should not have an out side dog or should have a large fenced area. ..............................jmho
  14.      I have been watching those ads on TV and it talks about Chicken pocks back when you was a kids and all.  I was one of 5 boys all 2 years apart and one of us was always sick with something and of course we all got it most of the time but for me to remember back to then and try to remember Chicken Pocks would be a real stretch.      I am the only living one of the boys since I was the youngest so I cannot ask any of them if they could remember plus Mother and Father are gone so guess in the dark on remembering for me. I spoke with my Pharmacist at Walgreens about them and glad I did but wish I would not have. They don't go far enough on TV with the information. Shingles can actually kill you depending on your health, age and where it is located. There have been people that got it in their ears and around their eyes and it ended up killing them. I am going tomorrow for my Shingles shot.       I checked out the law of averages and Murphy's law and any other source I could find about the vaccine possibly giving you the Shingles and according to all I have searched out and read about it's a 1 in 1 million chance the vaccine being a living Vaccine could give me shingles. I like the odds verses not getting the shot. Just curious if anyone here has had them and how many have went and got the shot????   Anyone got an advice pro's or con's on it?........
  15. I am truly glad you are getting your best friend back Glow but I would go the micro chip route if he runs loose any at all. After being living and eating at another location for 6 month dogs have this thing about sometimes going back home to familiar surroundings and if loose he may wind up in another county on his own this time.  He may decide the other place is home........Stranger things have happened......................jmho
  16. i had Kasey Micro-chipped when she was 6 months old and it cost me $35.00 but that was also 15.5 years ago so I would guess it has gone up since then..............
  17. I think Troutburger has a good point. I might even find out if I could get and off duty police officer to go with me in plain clothes if you know one. I still would have my focus on getting my dog back but still would do a follow up on the organization to see if they are operating legally and if not I would see about getting a refund. If you have the time you might want to do some checking before you even go to get your dog. Be prepared I guess is what I am saying.............jmho
  18. Does not sound on the up and up but most important in my mine would be to get my dog back and pay the fee and then go after them in court. Check with county, city and any one else to see if they are licensed to legally be a Rescue Center or are they just a dog scam outfit...............jmho
  19. "but they make cartoons for kids, not adults."   Beg to differ with you on this statement but cartoons like the Simpsons, and Archer are directed at adults along with a couple others I have seen advertised that I would never let kids watch..........jmho
  20. An Ellisville school teacher called the local phone company to report her telephone failed to ring when her friends called - and that on the few occasions, when it did ring, her dog always moaned right before the phone rang.  The telephone repairman proceeded to the scene, curious to see this psychic dog or senile lady. He climbed a telephone pole, hooked in his test set, and dialed the subscriber's house. The phone didn't ring right away, but then the dog moaned and the telephone began to ring.  Climbing down from the pole, the telephone repairman found:   1 . The dog was tied to the telephone system's ground wire with a steel chain and collar.     2. The wire connection to the ground rod was loose.     3. The dog was receiving 90 volts of signaling current when the number was called.     4. After a couple of jolts, the dog would start moaning and then urinate.     5. The wet ground would complete the circuit, thus causing the phone to ring.     Which demonstrates that some problems CAN be fixed by pissing and moaning.     Thought you'd like to know.
  21. He is a very lucky young man. Had that been my house he would be dead today. If you break a window and enter my home you will get shot numerous times. And then 911 will be called and I will recommend in the 911 call that they send paramedics along with police. ...............................jmho    Very glad that the young lady and child are safe today but the memories will be there for a while and her and hubby need to definitely build and practice plans for their future and a gun should be in the plans along with proper firearms training.........................jmho
  22. This may be true for normal houses but my house and activities are anything except normal. Half the time I don't even know my plans and do everything on impulse most days...............

  24. Ahh!! factories don't send money back over seas. They pay it to American employees and those employees spend it in our American economy. Yes they probably do send a certain amount of the profits made in the dealerships sales of their automobiles back home but also remember they have plants back home making cars that remain there and built with much less labor costs and more profits. I think we should be glad they are giving Americans jobs and not still importing everything............jmho
  25. I do know a few guys that will from time to time open carry. They also have a back up CC in case someone would try and take their OC. When they do OC the don't have the tube hot so if the bad guy tried to shoot him with his own gun he would have to take it off safety and then rack in a round and by then they have their CC pointed in the bad guys direction or they have already began popping caps in the bad guys body. I have never approved of that tactic. It always appeared to me like they were baiting some one to try and take their OC weapon just so they could shoot some one. I have told them my thoughts on it and they just smile and walk away............................................jmho
