  1. They gave good reality Gun and Firearms shows a bad name and hurt the ratings of many of them. I think after the first season they should have been gone...............jmho.
  2. Man don't any of ya'll remember any of the things you learned in the military about interrogation processes used before the person being question kind of got quiet permanently . Plastic bag is really being way to nice or two quick................jmho
  3. Well I can answer those requests very quickly. I have plenty of things around here I could be doing and they ain't getting done either so sorry guys but if I ain't doing mine I ain't doing ya'lls chores either. Thinking about going and get some bait and taking Kasey down to the lake and do some catfish fishing. I have a place I can fish from the bank and normally bag a few catfish and put a few filets in the freezer. Kasey likes going fishing. She gets to run and romp around chasing the ducks and geese............
  4. Shes an idiot also. The only thing the law abiding peaceful demonstrators were doing was showing the criminal element in the city that they do have guns and they will kill them if they do anything against  them that is illegal.........jmho
  5. Nope, not down, just bored............
  6. Gosh it is scary as I try and remember when it was the last time I purchased a newspaper. I think it was back when the Nashville Banner was still in print.................

  8. I am looking for other forms of heat back ups for my house. I use to use Kerosene but it got to costly plus I had 1 heater go up in flames and had to use extinguisher to put it out. Found out that if you allow Kerosene to get really old it will burn more like gasoline than kerosene. Never knew that till that day so don't trust that type of back up heat any longer. Switched over to Propane last year and of course it got a shortage of it because of the extra bad winter and cost went through the roof. I have been checking with Propane locations about supplies and they said they are trying to stay on top of it and all their big tanks are on keep fill but no telling what another tough winter will bring. I have a heater that fits on the 20 and 30 lb Grill tanks and one will heat my house so I have been buying 20 lb tanks as I can afford them and right now have 8 and hope to have 10 by November 15th. 1 tank kept on medium will heat the house for 6 -7 days depending on out door conditions. I don't expect the electricity to ever be off that long unless of a government issue and I don't trust them at all but better to much than not enough.........................jmho
  9. I grew up listening to my Grandpaw talk about the Winter of 51 and how much snow and cold weather they got in Tennessee. I was 3 years old in 1951 and lived in Chicago so a winter like they had in 1951 down here would have been a normal winter up there. I use to never pay much attention to the seasons much till I got much older and the weather began effecting my old bones and joints and now I pay much more attention to them. Can't help it. Mother Nature hates me sometimes..........
  10. Majestic as long as it's not flying over your house with it's bellie doors open.............
  11. Since I know almost zero about these odd calibers is this what you might be looking for cause they say they have this in stock.   .35 Whelen    250 Grain    PSP    20   http://www.cabelas.com/product/Remingtonreg-Express-Core-Lokt-Rifle-Ammunition/740954.uts
  12. Well Randall, I hope you like cold weather as bad as you hate hot weather because we are going to have a good old fashion winter this year and it is not far off. All my life I have watched the seasons by reading the Farmers Almanac and watching the wild life. Just for foot notes, the Hummingbirds were late arriving this year and left about 3 weeks earlier than normal. The Robins have raise 3 batches of young this year which is always a sign of a colder than normal winter and most of all the Oak trees have not began cutting their acorns really a lot and normally by now they are on the ground but the best indicator is look at your squirrels tails if you have any in your yard. Their tails are about 2 inches longer than normal and very very fluffy and full. They will need tails like that to stay wrapped up in and warm this winter. My dog has already shed her entire summer coat and has the thickest winter coat I have see on her in many years. Maybe the thickest ever. I don't know what folks all heat with on here but what ever it is you may want to have a back up source of heat that does not require electricity or Natural gas unless they are free standing gas heaters with out forced fan heat and also have back up  cooking resources such as gas grill or camper style cook stove. Not trying to be an alarmist but more a preparest.....Better to be safe than sorry........................jmho
  13. Yea , like back in the late 70's when cable was first being sold to the public. We were all told Obama lies back then. They said if we signed up for cable and paid the fee we would get commercial free programing. I guess it was only a half lie. Like the glass of water half full or half empty. They just forgot the part about paying extra for the commercial free programing. If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance as long as you purchase it through the ObamaCare ACA program and pay triple the cost your paying now. Kinda the same thing..................................

  15. Dad03, It is not just Columbia or Antioch or any particular area. It is everywhere. From Belle Meade and Brentwood to the government projects of University Court on Murfreesboro Road. No one is spared the fear of attack by criminals this day in time. And all the left can say is Americans that obey the law don't need to own guns. I have lived where I live over 15 years and up until November 2008 I never locked my door. I live 2 miles from downtown Gallatin and 1 mile from Walmart and never locked my door and never felt uneasy. In 2008 I had the front door of my house replaced with a nice insulated all metal door that has 3 locks on it. i have security lighting out side that triggers when anyone approaches my home from any direction. I have 4 trail cams strategically located on the property but not in plain view. Of course I have my 15 year old guard dog Kasey which many nights stays inside with me and once temps drop to lower 30's at night she will be in every night. I felt totally safe until 2008. Now I feel safe again and I just refuse to put bars of my windows but if I am at home and they try to come in the window I will let them in about 95% before I act against a intruder and feel my life is in danger. I will call 911 when they begin to break in and I will tell the operator that is depends on police response as to whether they get a criminal or a corpse.....................jmho

  18. I thought all states had a nuisance law where if you have done everything you can do and the pest wild animal keeps destroying your property you could kill it and notify the Wildlife Service and they would pick up the animal...................
  19. i agree 1000% DaveTN. I have also noticed that in about 80% of everything I actually want to read in my searches it seems that the advertisements always seem to be opened first and what you actually wanted to read is the last item to read. I have even had it happen many times that it will get all of the junk mail up on the screen and ready and they come back with "the information you requested in not available any longer"!!!!...................
  20. I got whippings as a child and possibly a bruise or two but made me a better person I think. I was not whipped as abuse. I was whipped because I was bad and deserved it knowing what I was going to do may earn me one I did it anyway. That is what is wrong with children today and I think in many cases why kids shoot kids today instead of going to blows with fists to settle a dispute. Bloody nose or black eye was a badge or courage when I was growing up and in most cases after it was over we were friends.........jmho
  21. They said the owner / founder of Papa Johns was at the funeral. I heard them say that on channel 5 news.............

  23. Most pastors now each other and often speak. I would try talking to the most local ones first and see if any of them are familiar with the family. Now give a little thought to the fact of are the adults receiving state aid for the children as they should be for each on? They should be receiving food EBT food sources and a welfare allowance for each child. The Welfare (child support) is suppose to be spent on the children and their well being such as clothes and other personal items. Being in Law Enforcement you should be able to check into their records and see what is being provided and then work from there on things they may need that is not being provided. ......................jmho

  25. They have a lot of wilderness in Florida.  Part of the Everglades and all of Okeechobee Swamp where Feral Hogs live and thrive and probably feed the bears so there is plenty of wilderness but when you discontinue any wild animal harvesting for any extended period of time eventually your going to develop a population issue.     I can remember back when they closed the deer hunting in Illinois in 1949. Read about it in magazines when I lived up there. They ignored the pleas from the farmers all over the state because the deer were destroying about 1/3 to 1/2 of their crops each year. The farmers didn't know what to do and they even marched on the State capitol and got no where. I think it was about 1989 or 90 when a herd of about 300+ deer walked out on a runway at O'Hare airport about the same time a 727 was on final approach to land and at the last minute had to scramble and abort the landing sending air traffic controllers sending planes orders and scrambling  aircraft in every direction. It took almost 3 hours to run the deer back into the woods that surrounded the runway.   People living in the suburbs were going through the same issues the farmers across the state were. They could not have hedges or gardens or anything including grass in many areas because they had deer everywhere. The Mayor of Chicago held a meeting and decided to hire people to come out and shoot nets over the herds and load them on livestock trucks and truck them down to southern and middle Illinois and release them. Right smack in the middle of Farm Country. The farmers sent word back the the Mayor that they would open season on the TRUCK DRIVERS and then slaughter the deer in the trucks before they ever got released down there. Mayor decided that was no longer a good idea.   The Mayor and the Governor got together and discussed what to do and in the Fall of 1990 Illinois would have their first Deer season 41 years and on September 15th 1990 a Bow season was opened and was going to be buck only buck said that would not be a fast enough solution so it was either sex limit 5 deer per hunter. It was followed by a Muzzle loader season with same rules. Either sex 5 each.  Then it would close for two weeks and a combination bow / Muzzle loader season would open for a month Buck only.  I don't know what their rules are now on seasons and quotas but you still are not allowed to hunt with any type of High powered rifles.   Another group of people have benefited from this is drivers. There was so many accidents between cars and deer that insurance was outrageous or you could opt out and hope you never collided with a deer which was not a good option because about 80% of people had hit 1 or more damaging their vehicles.     The State of Illinois took it on step farther. They found certain people and set up districts and those people were deer processors and Illinois would pay for your insurance deductible in an accident with a deer if you reported the incident immediately to the Processor Hotline and the deer could be picked up before the meat spoiled.   I have a buddy that has been a processor up there since 1993 and he has 1 walk in cooler to keep deer in till he can process them and 15 Large chest Freezers in a processing building. The state pays him so much per deer to pick up and process the meat and freeze it. Then if any Homeless Shelter, Orphanage, or other charity that provides meals for free can take the proper papers with them and go by and pickup an allotted amount of deer meat in roasts or burger. About 80% of each deer is burger because of the damage to the deer by the vehicle in most cases.   My buddy has passed the torch down to his son about 2 months ago that has worked with him for years. Illinois still has a large amount of vehicle / deer crashes as they still have an abundance of deer and will until they allow hunters to use High Powered Rifles to hunt with. When you get 70 miles out of Chicago going west or southwest you are in farm country and the land is flat to the curve of the earth 8 to 10 miles and most of the woods are now Forest Preserves which are No Hunting so the hunting is very limited to field fence rows which many deer do hide in but if they are out in the corm and other type fields  they will most likely be out of range of most bows and many Muzzle Loaders unless you wait till they come back to the fence rows and hope to get a shot then........................................
