I had a very close friend pass away about 3 years ago now and on the day of his death he weigh 640 lbs. He was put on Ice so to say, kept in cooler until a special coffin could be constructed for him. The frame was all welded together and had beautiful mahogany wood on the outside and beautiful blue lining inside and had 6 chrome welded hooks installed into the metal frame and he was taken to the grave from the hearse with a large brand new Bobcat and coffin had 6 chrome cables attached at 4 corners and in the middle on both sides. Was a nice service if there is such a thing at a grave site.....................jmho

GOOD NEWS FOLKS I think!!!! My phone and internet broad band problems are solved and Cricket solved them. It does help when you go t one of the Company stores and just talk with someone. You can learn so very much more. Went Yesterday and spoke with a nice young mane named Brian. He explained to me that the purchase of cricket by AT&T was not a recent item as I had been told by folks. AT&T bought Cricket a year or more ago and have been very slowly and gently making subtle changes as to not shock folks. They wanted to offer a Prepaid plan like other companies with out contracts and decided it would be better to just buy a Prepaid company that to try and build one from scratch. They already owned a company called AIO so they have began implementing and combining the two companies into one and it will be remaining Cricket and new company Is Cricket & AIO. They will be using AIO phone network so Cricket phones will not work so will have to buy a new phone which I did yesterday. I didn't want a flat screen smart phone at all and they are offering 1 flip phone and it was Get ready!!! $29.95 and they took my old Cricket phone in on trade and gave me 25.00 trade in so new phone on new plan cost 4.95 plus tax. They also not only allowed me to stay on my original pricing which was 30.00 a month with all the options most phones have I wanted but after looking at my years of being a loyal Cricket customer y new month service is going to be $25.00 a month. 5 bucks cheaper. So phone issue is solved Than came the broad band issue. Brian said that the Cricket Broad band will be active till March 2015 and then will go off line and the new AIO Broadband will come on line. He told me to come in the store in February and bring my old Broad band unit with me. I can sign up on the new AIO 3 GBT program and pick up my new AIO BB unit which is $79.00 but they are giving a 45.00 trade in on the old cricket BB units so the unit will be $34.00 plus tax. He said the only down side to all of this is my month service will be going from $30.00 a month to $40.00 per month. With the $5.00 phone discount thats only a $5.00 increase but listen to this. I have been paying $30.00 a month for 2048 mbs per month and I will be going up to 4GB speed which have been on 3GB and my Broadband will be going from 2048 mbs to 2 GB. I have been running out of high speed about two weeks into each month and going to crawl speed for two weeks. I won't be going to crawl speed ever again for 5 bucks more. I don't know about what half of this stuff means but it sounds good to me so I am thrilled...................... :biglol: :biglol: :biglol:    Now will someone that is high tech enough explain this to me in laymen terms what the BB program is all about and is it a good deal of not????????

Just to clear up one thing here about this post. Except for the most heinous crimes of rape or incest that creates a pregnancy I am totally against abortions. I don't believe that just because a woman and a man engage in sex and a pregnancy occurs that is reason for an abortion. They both knew going in that there is a small chance-of it happening but they take that chance they should be willing to accept the responsibility of allowing the child to be born. They are not forced to keep the child. There are 1000's of really great people in this country on waiting lists to adopt a child that for some reason cannot have one of their own but willing to give one or more a wonderful home. The only problem with that is the stupid Federal Government RED TAPE AND HOOPS they want people to jump through to adopt a child has cause people to start going out of country to adopt because the rules in other nations are much easier to bring a child to the home of loving parents. If the Federal Government would get out of the adoption business and let it be handled at the state government level I think more children would be in loving homes a lot more and a lot sooner............JMHO

In my opinion if it was my girlfriend of 9 years I would want to know for my own personal knowledge what the charge was. Was it a gun related charge or was it a non violent felony. Drug related or domestic violence or what. I am a true believer in being tried by 12 rather than carried by 6 for being stupid. I will not advise anyone how to handle their lives. That is their responsibility. A lot of what my decision would be is based on is what the charge was back in her teenage years.....................jmho I think if it came down to my protection and the protection of my home I would have to give it a lot of thought. Again .................jmho

I am not sure where your coming from when you speak about people committing suicide. If your calling a choice to not treat an illness that you know if going to take your life suicide then you need to research what Suicide is. Shooting your self in the head, hanging your self, deliberately taking a major overdose of a sleeping pill prescription, jumping off a tall building, stepping in from of a train, jumping out of an airplane with not parachute on are some of the ways a person can commit suicide. Refusing to treat an illness that in many cases will end up taking your life anyway and torturing your body and making your last days miserable is not suicide. That is allowing nature to take it's course as GOD will have it be.................jmho

I have seen death in many different ways from auto accidents to war and battle fields and everything in between. I think any form or Cancer has got to be one of the worst ways of all to die prematurely or before old age. I have seen a few friends that fought cancer hard going through all the processes doctors can offer to treat it. I won't go through it either should the time come that I am diagnosed with it. I have already made it clear to my doctors and it is in my Living Will that I won't do anything to treat the issue. If that is what GOD has decided for me so be it. My family and friends already know my feelings and have no issues with my decision. Like Ray my doctors orders are just keep me as comfortable as possible and let me go in peace with my dignity intact. I had another angling friend that was teamed up with his son and we all fished together. He was diagnosed with cancer and at his families request he chose to fight it and he fought it like Hell and went through all the programs of Chemo and Radiation treatments. His last year of life he was so weak he could not do anything except stay home most of the time. His son fished with a new partner at his fathers request. His father told his son that he wished he would have not fought the cancer and took the treatments and he could have fished with him some that last year. I do hear of many cases where people are cancer free after taking the treatments or the cancer is in remission but that just means dormant but not gone. I also did some research on this and in about 90+% the patient is under age 35 and relatively in good health when it is discovered. Age plays a very important factor in my opinion and I am 66 so my decision was a gimme. I hope to live many more years but not so many that I become a burden on my family. I trust GOD will grant me the wish that i ask of him each night..........................jmho

Some of you folks know I fished bass tournaments for many years and just quit about 2011 and turned the Skeeter bass boat over to my Son in Law. During the many years of fishing I met some wonderful people but there was on angler in particular that I developed a friend ship with and even though we were fierce competitors while on the water we became the best of friends on dry land. His name was Ray. Now Ray was known to take a nip of two or three.......lol and my glass was never empty while I was with him in the parking lots of boat ramps visiting with other anglers after a tournament. Ray always had a smile on his face and he would normally keep folks laughing with his and Stumps fishing escapades over the years. Ray and Stump won a lot of tournaments over the years. He always told folks it was because they always used my baits that I made special for him and he and Stump did buy a lot of my baits but that is for another time. Back in 2009 Ray was informed by his doctor that he had a tumor close to the size of a ping pong ball causing his headaches and that he needed to have it removed. Well, after some thought Ray decided that he was not going to have an operation and asked the doctor how long he had. The doctor said well Ray, there is really no way to put a time on death but I can promise you the pain will get worse before you die. Ray looked at him and said Well Doc, that is were you come in. your job will be to keep my pain as minimum as possible with what ever medications you can use by law and I will do the rest with Jack Daniels. At one of the Bigger Tournaments that came up that next weekend Ray told all of his friends what his plans were for his future. He told everyone that he didn't want any pity and didn't want any one to treat his any different and we didn't That was I think in March of 2009. Him and Stump fish as usual and Ray cut up and had folks laughing as usual and he rolling bar was open as usual at every weigh in. Stump was designated driver of both boat and truck by then and under the cover in the back of his pick up was the bar. We all could see him going away a little more each time we all saw him. In July he and Stump fish the PBF Inc Trail tournament on Old Hickory lake and in their usual fashion they won it and everyone was glad for them and the bar was open after the weigh in. Ray took me aside for sort few minutes and he told me that he was not going to be fishing any more and he did not want me to come and visit him any more and he requested that i remember his now and how he is now. I promised him I would do as he requested. The bass fishing industry lost a great angler and a bunch of us lost a wonderful friend on I think it was September 10th 2009 Ray did as this young lady is doing. Ray did it "HIS WAY"

I grew up listening to them and many other great bands that have all began to fade into the limelight of time. They say that all good things must come to an end and this is just one more of them. Last concert I attended was the last performance by Lynard Skynard before the plane crash and the Marshall Tucker band opened that night for them. After the crash I never felt like going to another concert. The Allman Brothers will be missed for sure by people my age................jmho

Upcoming interview with the SEAL who popped Bin Laden
bersaguy replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
He said after being in the beginning classes he was seeing changes almost over night. He studied about everything he was able to get his hands on about what the training would consist of and within 7 months the entire training programs had changed and the changes made him begin to feel uncomfortable. He didn't elaborate and I didn't push. He left with an honorable of 4 years. He came to me the other day and we had a long talk. He still feels that he wants to serve his country much more than he has and he has been talking to some Rangers and guys in Ranger training and they said that their programs have also changed since they enlisted. I told him, son, your still a very young man with your whole life ahead of you. Lets wait a few years and look at this again. I don't know if he will or not but I will support what ever his decisions are. I just hope he waits..................jmho -
Those days need to come back. I think to steal a mans cows is like stealing his money and should be dealt with in the same way if caught...................A bullet between the eyes to all of them and a phone call.

Upcoming interview with the SEAL who popped Bin Laden
bersaguy replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
I think it already has. My Grandson entered the navy to become a Seal and believe me he is Seal material and that was all he talked about and he lived, breathed and slept it. On his second Leave when he came home he looked at me and said Poppaw I won't be re-enlisting and I hope your not ashamed of me for not doing it. And I got up and walked over and hugged him and said Son I could never be ashamed of you and your decisions. He is home now and I am thrilled because i feared for his life every minute he was gone. -
I thought they kept saying he was a closer or reliever all through the game and talking about how many pitches he was making?
-
Believe me you will get caught at any turkey shoots with one cause those guys don't mess around. My gun was not even sleeved and I was asked to leave and you really don't argue with them to much with that many other guys with guns. They make great duck guns but don't ever make the mistake of firing a slug out of one. It will banana peel the end of the barrel and possibly hurt someone..........jmho

The SF pitcher did his job but that was a lot of pitches for a reliever to throw. 300 is unheard of for a reliever/closer pitcher. he earned his money last night. On that last hit I would have sent the guy home and took my chances at home plate. I also didn't agree with that call on first base that went under review for 2.5 minutes and then over turned the call on the field. I think it was to close to call or reverse the call on the field. I thought all ties went to the runner but evidently not. I was not for either team but wish I would have watched more of it than last game. I don;t know how many of ya'll watch them but I love watching the Little League World Series. I never miss any of those games. Those kids play their hearts out every game.........

It's a cheaters gun at turkey shoots but what it is, is a gun that a gun smith or a really good guy with guns will insert a sleeve into the barrel from the end of the chamber to the end of the barrel and it is so thin it is almost undetectable to the naked eye but it is designed to make the gun shoot a really tighter pattern than normal full choke barrels. That is what they thought my O/U had been done to it. I did find out later that the barrels were untouched and that is how they came from the factory and it was a fluke gun or freak gun , how ever you look at it but it was a darn good duck gun for sure and turkey shoot gun to for 1 round.............
-
I saw that this morning and said to myself dang son , you killed the tree................
-
My little brother shoots an old Winchester single barrel that was passed down through the family from my grandfather and he does win quite often and the gun has been checked for being sleeved and it has been confirmed that it is a factory untouched barrel. Gun holds a fairly tight pattern and is a 32 inch full choke 2 3/4 chamber. All of the shoots he attends only allow a winner to win 3 times per shoot. He wins a turkey, a canned or country ham and then either a slab of uncut country bacon or a butchers block 5lb tube of bologna.........

I would not mind it at all if a farmer with a good long range weapon could drop a couple of them in the pasture and then disable the truck with a round or two but he needs to take out the look out first cause you know they will have one with a cell phone. They had to cut locks on two gates to get into the pastures....................jmho

Well look at Chris Kyle. It seems like soon as they become known to the world they seem to die. For a long time no one knew except an elite few knew that Chris was a Seal Sniper and one of the most if not the best ever and when he comes out and starts trying to help people, one of the people he is trying to help ends up killing him. People who have a past need to leave it in the past unless they have a death wish....................jmho -
I bet he finds out about it though and all we can do is hope a seed is planted.

There was some cattle rustling went on down in Spring Hill today. Guys with a big white Trailer being towed by a Super Dually Pick up truck. Of course the people that saw the trailer could not tell them the make of the truck. I hate to say this but I think many folks have no clue about be up to date on anything any more. i bet a lot of people have to type their home address into their GPS units in their cars just to find their own way home...............I have got to where I am going out of my way to learn certain things about new cars so I would be able to actually identify one by name brand and color should I see a crime take place. Anyway someone is gonna be eating steaks pretty soon I would guess but might be hard to get it processed unless they do it themselves.....................jmho

In all honesty I thought between Obama and Biden running their mouths and the Chinook that went down in Afghanistan I thought all of the team that took Bin Laden out were already dead.?????????.....................jmho Now that is has been released that he is going to come out I hope they already have the interview because he probably won't make it till November 11th......................jmho
