Back when they were all still around I worked at Brentwood Shell as a auto mechanic and during that 11 year there I worked on Waylon's cars and his wife Jessie Colter's cars, Hanks jr's cars as both of them lived in Brentwood at the time. I also worked on Naomi Judds 1954 Cadillac she bought from Conway Twitty before his death and Ronnie Milsap's limo's were all serviced there also and I met him a couple times. I had a great job back then. Got to meet a few of the better songwriters that traded there also............. :up: :up:

Ok, because my post created such a discussion on it that I thought I would call my friend and ask him a few questions. He cleared up his reasoning for why he taught his wife as he did and why she does not carry a larger caliber hand gun. His wife is 5ft.0in. tall and weighs a hefty 102 lbs. She has weak wrists and the 22lr Semi auto she used and uses is about all she can handle safely. She also had an issue when trying to shoot center mass rounds and hitting there because she always ending up shooting high in the head or neck area or missing the target all together. He decided to teach her to shoot low so when the bullet went it would be more center mass. Well, it worked to a point. She was hitting the target on a regular basis from the groin area to the Naval area and sometimes above the naval. Which a lot of practice he had her hitting in an area he felt she would be able to defend herself with using the 22lr.   He also thought there would never come a time she would ever need to use it but he was thrilled to hear she was ok when the call came in to meet her and the officers at Goodlettesville police department. Another witness said he saw the car the other bad guy took off in and followed it and got tag number and the other bad guy was also caught 45 minutes later. The officer said he would have to keep the weapon till they could run a ballistics and then it would be returned. She was able to pick up her gun 2 days later. She did not hit the bad guy directly in the groin but 2 rounds she fired were 2.7 and 2.1 inches above his actual groin(private parts) but he went down like a ton of bricks two other witnesses stated and set in screaming. They said the reason she did shoot low and not let the gun jump striking higher was because of adrenal which allowed her to hold the gun more on target.   Hope this explains more about why he taught her the way he did and it did very possibly save her life because the bad guy did have a switch blade knife in his hand and it was open with his prints on it....................... :ugh: :ugh:

Well, I know it sounds like a bad move on her and her hubby's part but with a 22lr caliber when the person has any size to them a person is limited to areas that will put them down. The police said that she did what she had to do and did well. I myself, am a center mass shooter. 3 center of chest and if they don't go down they get more rounds till they do........................jmho

I have heard of many people being shot in the head and not stopped. You can stop a bad guy really quick with a 22lr caliber if you know where to put the bullets. I had a buddy's wife get approached by two bad guys in the Rivergate Mall Parking lot on night. She wheeled around with her 22 Cal pistol and pointed it at them. They said you won't shoot and began towards her and she put to fast rounds in the groin area of the first one and he went down fast rolling in pain and screaming. The second one broke and ran. He husband told her where to shoot  and took her out with a shooting dummy and she practiced to where at about 15 feet she was dead on. Bullet placement is priority 1 in my mind..........................jmho

If any President had done all the damage to our great nation of America as he has done any President like that would be terrified to walk out of the White House with out the kind of protection he has. It is costing TAX PAYERS 3.5 times as much for his security as it has any other President in American history. If I can find the link to a site I read in the article it said that Obama has his own special security force of Hand picked people that actually spy on his Secret Service personnel to make sure someone in side is not planning to remove him. They are in the secret service like moles. Obama is constantly adding and removing people he thinks he cannot trust. The man is totally and completely Paranoid and I think he has all rights to be. He has made enemies of most  natural born Red Blooded Americans. He also knows the the American Military hates him. I don't think our Armed Forces have ever hated a Commander-N-Chief. Even though Bush put them in to wars they still had total respect for him. I wonder 1 thought most of all. Once this guy leaves office I know he will still have Secret Service as all Presidents do but it is the Congress that pays the bill for that. I'm guessing that his amount of security will be no more than any other Ex President so I am hoping he has to spend huge amount of his own money if he wants more Security. I bet he will be 10 times as paranoid about security once he is gone from the White House....................jmho 

They would vote for Republicans also if they were doing what the Demorats are doing. They don't care about which party is willing to give all the stuff Obama and the rats are. All they want is the free ride..................jmho

Now I'm not saying this may be why he is so desperate to make illegals legal? Is there is an out side chance that he might be an illegal Immigrant too. I mean no one has really seen any information to the fact or really seen proof that he is a legal American citizen since all of his personal records are sealed to the American people and he thinks Americans are so gullible that they will just take his word for it. What has been leaked really shows more against him than for him. He applied under a Foreigner  grant scholarship and got it to attend college. To do that he would have had to provide the paperwork proving he was not an American citizen.   He has not been able to provide a valid Birth Certificate but has provided a couple fake ones that we proven to be fake. He is using a Social Security issued in Connecticut but never lived in Connecticut which means he is committing fraud. That has been authenticated that the number was issued in a state he never lived in.      Back during his first term while Michelle was doing an interview she was talking about a trip the first family had planned that would be a trip to Africa. She clearly said that Barrack was looking very forward to returning to Kenya, his birth place?????? he funny part about that was it was a live interview so it could not be edited out before 1000's of Americans saw and heard it. That was the first and last live interview the First Lady was allowed to have. Now everything she does on TV is filmed and cleaned up before showing.    In all honesty I often wonder if it was a Republican doing everything Obama has done at what point would he been impeached and arrested for treason. After all, he is the first and only President to hide everything about his past back before making his bid for the White House?..........................................jmho

Yea, my son is coming up and he had to re route around the city also and he works on Nolensville Road and I think that is Obama's destination. Some Big Immigrant church or something like that. I have to agree with ugly on the waste of AIR. He takes in good air and spews out hot contaminated air that only a very small part of anyone I know wants to hear................jmho

Back when you could book Hog trips in Catoosa Wildlife management my little brother carried a Ruger Blackhawk and two years in a row he bagged a hog with 1 shot. Once from the ground and once from up a tree where the hog put him and that shot was straight down through top of hogs head and out the throat. Then they closed the hunts down. Now with that said I have several buddies that big game pistol hunt and several of them are shooting these. I noticed that no one mentioned them. Any particular reason why they have gone unmentioned in any posts? Inquiring mind wants to know. Taurus M44 44 Mag or M444 Raging Bull 44 mag.

IMHO I am kind of disappointed with your boss. He should have been proud of you for taking the time to make a customer happy with a product they purchased from his establishment. It will surely result in that person coming back again. It will also result in new customers from word of mouth from a happy customer. The Box Under Bill & Hillary's Bed   When Bill and Hillary first got married Bill said, "I am putting a box under the bed.   You must promise never to look in it." In all their 30 years of marriage, Hillary never looked. On the afternoon of their 30th anniversary, curiosity got the best of her and she lifted the lid and peeked inside. In the box were 3 empty beer cans and $8,874.25 in  cash. She closed the box and put it back under the bed. Now that she knew what was in the box, she was doubly curious as to why there even was such a box with such contents. That evening, they were out for a special anniversary dinner. After dinner, Hillary could no longer contain her curiosity and she confessed, saying, "I am so sorry, Bill.  For all these years, I kept my promise and never looked into the box under our bed. However, today the temptation was too much and I gave in. But now I need to know, why do you keep the 3 beer cans in the box?" Bill thought for a while and said, "I guess after all these years you deserve to know the truth. Whenever I was unfaithful to you, I put an empty beer can in the box under the bed to remind myself not to do it again." Hillary was shocked, but said, "Hmmm, Jennifer, Paula and Monica. I am very disappointed and saddened by your behavior. However, since you are addicted to sex I guess it does happen and I guess 3 times is not that bad considering your problem." Bill thanked her for being so understanding. They hugged and made their peace. A little while later Hillary asked Bill, "So why do you have all that money in the box?" Bill answered: "Well, whenever the box filled up with empty cans, I took them to the recycling center and redeemed them for cash."

A very good old friend of mine just sent me this............... :up: :up:   THE BACK NINE I FIRST STARTED READING THIS EMAIL & WAS READING FAST UNTIL I REACHED THE THIRD SENTENCE. I STOPPED AND STARTED OVER READING SLOWER AND THINKING ABOUT EVERY WORD. THIS EMAIL IS VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING. MAKES YOU STOP AND THINK. READ SLOWLY!  AND THEN IT IS WINTER  You know ... time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams. But, here it is... the back nine of my life and it catches me by surprise...How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go? I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that I was only on the first hole and the back nine was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.  But, here it is...my friends are retired and getting gray...they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me...but, I see the great change...Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant...but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd become. Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore... it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will... I just fall asleep where I sit! And so...now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!! But, at least I know, that though Im on the back nine, and I'm not sure how long it will last...this I know, that when it's over on this earth...it's over. A new adventure will begin! Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done...things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done. It's all in a lifetime. So, if you're not on the back nine yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don't put things off too long!! Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether youre on the back nine or not! I have had two cysts in my life, both on my back and they would from time to time swell up and fill with a milky pus and blood. There was always blood mixed in with the pus. I finally got sick of dealing with them and went and had the removed surgically and they have been gone about 8 years not with no signs of coming back. In most cases a cyst is caused my a hair spore that closes up and the hair begins to grow in circles under the skin and will infect from time to time. When they operated on me the doctor made sure he got all of the hair and roots out.............. :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:

I have heard of people feeding their dogs chicken bones also but they don't feed them any of the bones with a ball joint such as leg bones, thigh bones and wing bones because they are the ones with the most chance of splintering. Breast bones, neck bones are what most that do give to their dogs because they will not splinter. That is why I am glad my dog will not eat anything that is not on her plate or in her bowl. I give her snacks like Alpo Square biscuits and she loves them along with her beef jerky treats. Best part is my friends have all tried to give her biscuits and Jerky and she will not take it from anyone but me. I raised her that way from her puppy days and it amazes my friends that she ill not take snacks from  them and they have all know her most of her life.   I sincerely hope you find out how the bones are getting in your yard and you get the issue resolved peacefully.................. :up: :up:

  You have to remember ugly. All those wars over there in the sand countries the civilians are not armed and are helpless to defend themselves. It ain't that way here. If the SHTF and our military is called up in an all out defense of our country our military will grow from  800,000 to over two million + armed combatants. That was the reason when Japan attacked Pearl that they did not come and attack our mainland. The Admiral of the Jap fleet said they would be defeated because there is American with a gun behind every blade of grass. Well now its an American behind every blade of grass with 5 guns and plenty of ammo that has our Military's back.  So your right, they do want it but they are going to wish they never got it............jmho 

Well, if you read between the lines our President made a promise that he would change America. If you put 2 & 2 together meaning Muslim terrorists in Pakistan working at promoting violence in protests against law enforcement on his computer and a Muslim in the White House his puzzle pieces seem to be all falling right in place. He has changed the whole face of our country and what it stands for..............jmho

  Gun shows and Fishing took dumps about the same time. Fishing shows maybe a couple years earlier but not to far behind Gun Shows followed. For many years I would attend the fishing shows every year and that is where I would purchase 80% of the tackle I would use for the year. When greed set in and most of the good dealers left the promoters began letting folks selling Home Siding, Windows, Gutters and anything else that would buy booth space. When I went that first year and saw thet all the dealers I traded with every year were not there I left empty handed and never attended another. Last gun show I went to was the one in Lebanon and it reminded me of why I quit going to fishing shows about 5 years ago so not been to any of those since either..........................jmho

I have seen a couple programs on Animal Planet where people have different kind of parasites in their bodies that cause just those kind of sores and it seems to baffle a lot of doctors before they actually figure out what it is and how to treat it. My beat would be Mayo Clinic would be the place to go if he lives in Chicago. They treat all types of really weird things there and normally can make folks better....................jmho
