  1. I quite being angry about it many years ago Darrell. When it first happened I was mad enough to chew thumb tacks but then I offer a $1,000,00 reward for just the return of the Winchester Model 12 that belonged to my dead son no questions asked and when it didn't come home I began to lose hope and now because I am so old I have notified the authorities if they begin to turn up they are to contact my Son and Grandson as they both have carry permits so won't have to jump through many hoops to get them back.
  2. I wish you all the luck in the world on getting your guns back. I had 17 guns taken from my home in 1987 and I reported them to every law enforcement agency available and I'm still waiting for the 1st one to turn up anywhere. I hope yours begin showing up and you get them back.
  3. Thank you for the help Erik. I was thinking that by looking at the box I was in the clear and we are still going to get in touch with the guy that gave them to me. I am thinking I am safe because he sold his 9MM over a year ago so he has not bought any ammo in over a year so the ammo is at least over a year old that I have.
  4. I didn't buy it Erik88. A friend of mine gave it to me. The box looks old and my friend got it from a friend and he can't get in touch with the guy that they got it from originally.
  5. Ok so I need some help here. I have 1 box of that ammo and I have looked at the ends of the box and the numbers inside but I'm not good with technical stuff like this I will list what is on both ends of my box and would appreciate any help on if I have bad ammo or not please. On 1st end it has: Carton no. CT365A E120103 On other end of box it has: A12 1 A12 B12 A12 B12 A12 B12 A12 B12 On both ends of the box on the outside it has Q4172 This box of ammo was given to me and the box appears to be pretty old so if anyone can help me out it would be very much appreciated, Doug aka Bersaguy

  9. Living on a farm/Ranch encounters with snakes was not uncommon. Believe it or not there are a few good types of snakes and my grandfather made sure I knew which ones not to kill, Blue Racer snakes always got a pass as they would keep the mice and rats under control in most cases. When I first moved down here with my parents in 1967 I was taught about snakes and I thought a Black Snake and a Blue Racer were the same snake but learned that they are not the same snake. A Blue Racer will kill and eat a mouse but a Black Snake will killed and eat Rats, mice and venomous snakes also. I got to witness a Black Snake and a Copperhead in a battle and once the Black Snake was able to get the Copperhead wrapped in a constrictive wrap it held onto it till it killed the copperhead and then proceeded to devour it head first. The Black snake was about 3 times as big as the Copperhead so didn't take long to eat it. That is not something you get to see everyday so I watched it all happen which took about 30 minutes beginning to end.
  10. Well since we are talking snake stories I have one from years back. I had an older brother that was crippled from polio when he was 4 years old and he could do most things for himself because we had his home built to make him independent. He worked for the Federal Government as an accountant. Well when you live alone if something is moved in your house you will know it. He kept coming home from work and things had been moved in his house several times in a week. Nothing big, little nick knacks on end tables and coffee table, a coffee cup knocked of the kitchen counter and broke so he called me and ask me to come up and search his house so I did but didn't find anything. The problem went on for a second week and I had a day off and a key and I had him open all the drapes so I could watch from outside. About 4 hours into the morning moving from room to room looking I spotted the problem. He had a chicken snake about 8 feet long in the house. I watched and waited for it to move into a room it could be caught easily and I went in and caught the snake in under his bed. I used a broom to sweep it out from under the bed and grabbed it. I put it in a box and waited for him to come home and showed it to him. We both wondered how it had gotten into the house and finally figured out, it came down the Chimney. He had Barn Swallows that had built nests in the chimney and had babies in the nests and there was a tree next to the house. The snake climbed up the tree and began to climb into the chimney and evidently fell to the bottom and out into the house. I took the snake home and released it in the woods behind my house. Soon as all the baby Swallows had left the chimney and flown away I went back to my brothers house and put a hardware cloth screen over the top of the chimney so no more birds or snakes could get in it.
  11. Brain wifi is what your trying to say. If they cannot see each other it won't work!!!!
  12. This is not a new problem for the Memphis post office Hub. As best I can tell it was going on long before Covid became their excuse. Every time I had to send baits to Texas I used UPS.
  13. Lets be honest hipower, do you honesty think biden is capable of saying anything uplifting? I'm surprised he can find the mic when he walks out on stage. Has anyone else besides me noticed the VP Harris is always with him when he is speaking on stage. I always heard that both the President and VP when never suppose to be in the same room or area at the same time. When did that rule change?
  14. They saved a bunch of ships from ending up on the rocks over the years and I don't think many silo's did that...lol. They all have some kind of history behind them. If nothing else you can keep your better half happy on the trip...LOL
  15. Just down here in Gordonsville trying to stay out of trouble and I come and read a lot but don't always post.....lol
  16. I bought my 1st Bersa Thunder from Mikey at Sumner Gun and supply too many years back to remember and spoke to him to many times to remember but each time was great and that Bersa is still on my nightstand and will be as long as I am breathing. I'm sure he is still playing music in Heaven for a much more special audience!!!!
  17. Had one of those cubs fallen into that yard things would not have turn out as well as they did. She is a very lucky lady for sure.......jmho
  18. Stupid is as stupid does and to me they were both stupid....jmho
  19. I had a friend of mine ask me, if I was going to buy a new car what would I buy. My reply to him was a 1965 Chevy Impala Super sport. He looked at me and said your kidding, Right? And I said nope. I would begin checking salvage yards for a complete car maybe minus a motor and tranny and buy it for about $100.00 dollars and begin restoring it from the ground up. There are many shops out their that do complete restorations. When the car is completely restored you will have between 8 to $10,000.00 in the car but you will have a very nice new 65 Chevy SS and it would be new to you so it would be a new car and a much better car than a 2021 that you would pay $279.00 for 88 months for and end up paying over $200,000.00 if you did actually pay it off. That is why so many people lease cars these days. They know they will never pay one off so every 2 or 3 years they trade and have a new car and a new car note. Also it costs far less to insure a 65 Chevy than a 2021 Kia.....JMHO
  20. I guess I have been lucky with the Haier chest Freezer and two 110 window a/c units I bought from Walmart over 10 years ago cause they have been working flawlessly for over 10 years. I had a friend tell me about them back then so when it came time to buy a new one I bought those and have not regretted it 1 minute. I don't know who makes them but they make a great product......JMHO
  21. I can't remember the last time I have been to a fast food place but I think it was an Arby's and yea they do have the Meats and you pay dearly for it if you request a sandwich like they show on TV. Other wise you get an original with about half the meat. I said I would never be back and I have not been!!
  22. Dwayne Johnson also supports BLM and thinks Veep Harris is right in supporting them as well.
  23. There are many people that are Anti Gun to hear them talk that all own a gun. Many Democrats preach about being anti gunners that own a gun and many own several. Those like Pelosi and other politicians are the ones that do the most preaching about gun control are surrounded by people protecting them with guns. It's easy to be against owning guns when you are surrounded by people protecting them with them!! Then there are actors like Liam Nieseom (spelling) that is totally anti 2nd Amendment but uses them in about every movie he makes in Hollywood. I won't watch any of his movies. I will watch all of the John Wick movies because Kennan Reeves is pro 2nd amendment and will say it openly when asked. I'm sure Hollywood would not use him but he draws to much money in all his movies. Dianne Feinstein admits she has a carry permit and owns and carries a gun yet votes to keep lawful Americans from owning them! Typical Democrat!!!
  24. Prayers to Chip and his family. So sorry to hear this!!
