Eaa Witness Tangfolio tell me your 1st hand experience
bersaguy replied to BLACKVANDRIVER's topic in Handguns
I don't know if this counts but I have a Tanfoglio Llama 380 caliber and I dearly love it. Will eat anything I feed it. Never FTF's of any type. It is the one from Stoger Arms in NJ so it's one of the oldies but goodies. Had to have extra magazines custom made for it but they work as well as factory. Probably the most accurate 380 caliber I own..............jmho -
All those morons do is look for a crowd and then they burst in and interrupt it. They don't care what it is about as long as the news medias might cover them which of course they do. If the press would quite promoting these protests and begin degrading them they might quit all their BS!!!!!!!.................jmho

I noticed after my encounter with that truck back in 78 and they removed my spleen that my ability to consume even a small amount of alcohol it effected me far more than it did before my lost spleen. I don't drink at all if I am away from home and have to drive. Here at home I might take a small glass of Gentleman Jack and sip on it and I can feel the effect in a short time. My party days are over anyway so not really an issue with me these days................jmho

Anti-Guns in Bars Restaurateur's Flagship Joint Shutters Doors
bersaguy replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
The Karma of pro-gun is on the rise for sure. As more and more small businesses feel the pain of going gun free and look at their bottom lines each month it might finally begin to sink in. I think a lot of what is happening to small businesses is that because many or most of their clientele that do business with them go concealed. The way that goes is the business owner does not realize that 2/3 rd's or more of their business were pro gun people. They didn't know it until the signs went up and business declined. In most cases the only people that approached them are the anti-gun people. Pumping all the ridderick of negative gun beliefs so that was all they hear. I think what needs to happen is small groups of pro-gun folks need to get out and talk with small business owners and put a little bird in their ear informing them that possibly 2/3rds to 3/4 of their business are legal gun permit people they will lose when the signs go up. It won't take but a few minutes and you don't have to go out of your way to dod it. Just next time your in a business you trade with often that has not put signs up or even those that have. It might be to every ones benefit to take a few minutes and share the pro-gun side about his or her business................jmho -

In Apolda Germany, in the 1800's a man named Louis Doberman needed a courageous, guard dog with strong mouth, good nose and one who would be protective. Herr Doberman had various jobs, which required protection. It has never been proven just what he did, but some have said he was a tax collector, while others maintained he was a night watchman. For whatever reason he succeeded in fixing the guarding character in the dog he created, but was not really interested in the conformation aspects of that dog. While crossing many breeds to obtain what he wanted, he did not keep records of these crosses, so we have to rely on others who knew him to supply us with some of his efforts. According to his son, Herr Doberman owned a black bitch called Bissart who had tan markings and a gray undercoat. One interesting thing about Bissart was her naturally short tail and a short coat. He tried to produce a naturally short tail by selective breeding but was unsuccessful. We do know that some of the breeds that were used were a gray Pinscher, a black and tan butchers dog and a local sheep dog type. After his death in 1894, the Germans named the breed Doberman-pinscher in his honor, but a half-century later they dropped the pinscher because it was a German word for Terrier and was no longer appropriate. The Germans goal was to develop a dog capable of the ultimate in protection and companionship. They selected the bravest, toughest and most loyal. These headstrong dogs were known as "Doberman's dogs" or "Thuringia Pinschers," and were sharp, aggressive with other dogs, of medium size, with a body that is compactly built, muscular, and distrustful of strangers.

I would never leave a toddler or even little older child alone with a big dog. If anyone has ever really paid attention while in the room and seen a toddler try and play with a dog, the child treats it like any other toy, pulls it's tail. pulls on its ears, pokes it in it's eyes or tries to. Most parents think it's cute that the dog is laying with the child but don't realize the dog may not appreciate all that the child is innocently doing. They don't realize the dog is not a toy. And most of al and don't care if it is a child or an adult. No dog big or small, full blooded or mutt like you to put your face down close to theirs and stare at them. I am not sure why but I think at that point any dog either feels threatened or challenged and will in most case snap at your face. I'm sure this may have happened to folks here. I know when I was younger it happened to me a couple times but when the dog growled I backed away..........jmho

I think most folks that own Pit Bulls don't ever consider what they were originally bred for and that was to fight to the death in a pit for competition and gambling. Those Pit Bulls from back in the beginning are the same blood lines that about 99.9% of them at some level still have. Yea, you may have a Pit that is 25th+ generation from their beginning but somewhere deep in that dog is it's true breeding and you never know when or if it might show up. The other dog folks have failed to mention is the Doberman. It is another dog that was cross bred by the Germans back in the early days to be a mean vicious dog used by military for tracking and guard use. They are also a dog that was bred for a specific reason and they cannot be trusted. The Germans did this because they could not get this type of reaction out of the German Shepherds they had hope to achieve. It was a lot more difficult to make the Shepherds to be as aggressive as they wanted thus came the Doberman..............jmho More and more these days your finding law enforcement beginning to use large generalized mutts for training and having great success with them.

Yep, I have heard about those places and I have heard about people getting bit and dying from the bite because they had faith that GOD would protect and heal them. I guess they must not have been real true believers and GOD knew what was really in their hearts....... jmho I don't think it is to smart to tempt GOD and then when something happens and the person dies they say it was GODS will. Sorry but to me that is just another way of committing suicide in which the Bible also says that is the Sin that you cannot be forgiven for. Again,...................... jmho

I had family that lived in Maryland and when they passed all those laws they put their homes up for sale and moved south. Two families came to Kentucky and one moved to Extreme southern Indiana close to the ones in Kentucky. They absolutely refused to live in what one of them referred to a Hitler State................. :usa:

A long time ago my entire family made a pack that we would never leave another's home without hugs and I love You's and we never end a phone call without an I love you and even though it was many years ago it has been passed down to the grandchildren and they also never fail to do and say it to any one they have spoken to or visited. We also have a policy of never going to bed or leaving a family members home mad or upset with out first making peace and saying I love you. It has made all of us much closer. I also noticed that with my eyes fading slowly I was having difficulty reading my bible so yesterday I ordered a new one from Amazon that has the 15.5 font size print so I can begin reading the bible again. I don't preach religion but I do find great peace while reading it................

I went to bed about 9 PM with tube on watching reruns of Criminal Minds & Blue Bloods and listening to Kasey bark and raise hell until sometime after 1AM from under the bed. They were shooting off bottle rockets next door and she would bark with each one. Sure was glad when they quit or ran out of them............. :ugh: :ugh:

I agree with you 100% Oma. I have learned over many years that most tragedies like these could be prevented when people use common sense and in most cases it is the lack of that which allows such things as this to happen. I stayed on my daughter for the longest time trying to get her to not carry in her purse. She has a LCP 380 I got her and there is no excuse for it to be in her purse. For Christmas I bought her and IWB holster made just for that type firearm because when ever she goes out without some kind of sweater or cover shirt on. She is no longer putting her gun in her purse. She even wears it in the house to get use to having it on her person............

I would do that myself back years ago also but these newer vehicles, many of them have a flow meter to check air flow through radiators /AC Condensers for adequate flow and cardboard has been know to blow motors on a few of my buddies vehicles that thought it would work on their newer vehicles but learned a very expensive lesson. My suggestion is drop the dime and fix it right................jmho You never did say what brand of truck you have in your OP???

Quote" "Almost as bad as Ford KNOWING the seal is bad, but wont pay to have it fixed." Typical Ford decisions. Ford has been making decisions like that since back in the early 70's when they built the Death Trap Pinto that would explode into flames when hit from the rear because of fuel tank position. Then they at the same time knew they had a problem with the Parking Pawl that would hold the Ford vehicles in place when owner put them in park. That also began showing up in 1973 and between 1973 Ford automobiles and light trucks killed or injured over 500 people when the vehicles would fall out of park with no one in them and travel backwards or forwards till they hit something and was stopped. It became much more dangerous when folks would go out on a cold morning and start their vehicle and go back inside while it warmed up. Then they just didn't roll away, they drove away. That is the kind of pick up truck that smashed me between it and a brick wall in 1978. It was a 1976 Ford F150 that was parked in a driveway above where I worked. By the time I was able to get back and able to file a law suit against Ford there was already a Class Action lawsuit filed by by a pack of lawyers and about 230 people who had loved ones hurt or killed by the vehicles of which about 35 of which were young children playing when their parents car would it them. When the suit finally made it to the Supreme Court Ronald Reagan had just got elected, the economy was in a Carter Peanut farmer free fall and Reagan was trying to get a grip on it. When it reached the court Henry Ford III I think requested to address the court and they allowed it. He made it as clear and simple as possible. He said " Ford Motor Company is prepared to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and close our doors and shut down all of our plants and lay off about 125,000 employees around the country before we will pay out almost a billion dollars to the plaintiffs in this case. The issue with our transmissions has been addressed and repairs made and it is no longer as issue. With the economy in a free fall and a new President trying to fix it can the country really afford to see another 125,000+ people go unemployed? The new parking Pawl cost exactly .09 cents more to manufacture than the one did that was killing and hurting people!!! Where it normally cases the Supreme court will take a month to 6 months to render they rendered their decision in less than 3 hours and came back with a finding of case dismissed against Ford Motor Company on the conditions that if another case arrives in front of them pertaining to any vehicles made after 1980, at that time Ford motor Company would be held responsible for all previous cases. I guess that was like putting a person on Probation for life. I was sure glad the guy had great insurance on his truck and since I was hurt while at work, Aetna was my employers Workmans Comp company paid all my medical bills and provided my family with income till I could return to work. They also gave me a cash settlement of 10% disability for life so I guess all in all I was lucky. I think many people would have got more had the Supreme courts not laid an egg and was chicken to run against Henry Ford III bluff. There was no way he would close down Ford Motor company over a billion dollar pay out since they could stretch the payments out by placing the money in a escrow account which would pay people a set amount for life or what ever. They paid out u into the Multi-millions on the Pinto cases and only one went to court and that young man did receive 4 million and that was when Ford began settling them out of court to keep i quiet. No with that said , it is no better than what the automakers are doing to people today GM's ignition switch kiling and hurting people and them knowing it for years yet no recalls, Toyota's running away throttles killing and hurting people. Now the passenger air bags going off for no reason killing and hurting people the the Japanese denying it is their fault even though they built the damn things. With all of this said, I really think the people in these cases deserved something for their pain and suffering much more than a woman getting 4 million for being stupid dumping hot coffee in her lap at Mc Donalds....................jmho

Prayers go out to the family. I know that the little boy probably does not really know yet what he did, but the older children with her do and I am hoping my prayers get answered.

At least the families can get closure on this one as I read this morning that bodies were being recovered from the wreck. Still wonder why no distress calls went out before going down?

At what point did they quit putting gaskets in with a filter kit? Everyone I ever bought at parts houses always came with a new gasket............................

It can be a little more complicated on the F150 since it is a 4X4 and access to the rear seal can be a little more of an issue but not really a major repair if that is all it is...................jmho

I have little to no faith at all in Myth Busters because they cannot recreate anything to the exact time, place, lighting, reflections, angles or anything else. At the very best all they are is speculations by them and to me they are a joke.............jmho
