  1.   I know a great many gun owners that do not have carry permits because they don't want to be on a list of gun owners. Many of them bought their guns long before the back ground checks began and don't feel it's any of the governments business if they own guns. I think that falls true in most cases for a large amount of the population across the nation...............jmho
  2. I have found over the years that everyone handles tragedies and victories in their own way. I also have learned not to criticize anyone for the way they handle any situation. It is part of survival of dealing with comfort or discomfort. That falls in the category of being judgmental and I try my best not to be a person that does that...............jmho
  3. Don't get me wrong. I have the utmost respect for any and all calibers equally. I have also been shot back in Nam and none of it was pleasant at all. I would be in fear of looking at the wrong end of a muzzle of any caliber pointed at me from a 22 right up and beyond a 45 Caliber. I would have respect for all without question.
  4. Come on folks!!!  Did you really believe that the Russians would stay out of the Nuclear business? Did you really think the Cold war was ever really over??? I never believed it for a minute and never will. And the Russians have been playing with this administration like a child plays with puppets on strings since the very beginning. I doubt that the next administration will be any better at working with Russia either............jmho
  5. I think most churches live under a belief that GOD will protect them and there is no need for guns in church. Maybe to a point GOD will protect the church. But tell me how many people hyped up on drugs believe in GOD and would not walk into a Church just like a Convenient Store and rob and possibly kill someone.............
  6. A few years back I made a purchase from DLM (David) of 22lr ammo long before he had the bucket and brick sale and they were Scorpion Ammo. Went to the range with my 22 Phoenix's and my 22 Marlin semi auto rifle and the ammo performed flawlessly in all guns and was very accurate. It was not a brand I was familiar but I figured it must be a quality product or David would not be selling it. Turned out to be great ammo.
  7. I only have one question and that is why are so many people down on 380 caliber weapons. I own 3 at present time and I have went shooting out at my son in laws brother farm who is an FFL dealer. While at his range we shot water jugs filled with water and at the same distance shooting pretty much same ammo brand he supplied. My 380 performance was almost so close to the performance of his 9mm on the targets that you could not see a difference. After we were done shooting Matt said that many people don't give the 380 the respect they deserve and he does not know why. I don't either........................
  8. Thanks David, I will try to be more clear in the future. Normally I will add funny to the thread title. Forgot this time. Sorry!!
  9. A better question is what idiot brings a knife to a gun fight......................
  10. The front door of my house is made of wood inside and has a metal shell on outside. I had a buddy install install two (2) Dead bolts in it recently for added protection. All I had at the time was door knob lock. I told him I wanted real security dead bolts. He picked up some at Lowes and came to install them. He had them all keyed to my door knob lock so only need 1 key to unlock all three. What he thought was going to be a 1 hour job turned into a three hour job. He said he has never seen a door made like this one when it came to making the lock holes and then he said that the door frame was a double reinforced one also. I live in a cottage that was a concrete block garage until it was converted into a cottage and everything it made for security. The door frame is bolted into the block frame. The dead bolt locks he bought insert almost 2 inches into the door frame when locked. If someone does want in bad enough I am sure they will get in but hope that have a hour in which to work at it. Plus for added security he put the dead bolts about 6 inches above and below the door handle. I feel much better knowing I have those locks..............jmho
  11. Well, when I am in the shower my door is locked and bolted and one of my guns that lives in my bathroom is with me. Yep I have one that actual lives in the bathroom. I make trips to the bathroom for things other than a shower. Such as porcelain thrown trips which would make you almost as vulnerable as being in the shower so I just decided on which gun would become bath room security and it is located in an area where no moisture can get to it and once a month I will clean and rub down all of my guns to prevent any rust from forming plus gives me something to do................jmho
  12. Sorry for all your troubles and also very sorry about your Grandmother and prayers sent. As far as my gun issue. Friend or no friend. If my gun is not welcome neither am I and my billfold 5 minutes in and out my gun would have went with me concealed............jmho
  13. Yep!!! been in one of them wars. Orders were do not fire until your fired upon. My reply to that was screw you. If the bad guy got in my sights he went down. If you wait till they shoot at you will be dead. The only reason those people in the Pentagon issued those orders was because it was not them being shot at in the jungles...............jmho
  14. People have a problem realizing that this is not 1970 any more when you could leave your home unlocked and go shopping and come home and nothing gone. We live in a time now of if you don't protect yourself and live behind locked and bolted doors and carry a gun you very well might be a victim by a complete stranger at any moment.    As for what has happened over the last 50+ years can be answered in one simple word. DRUGS!!!!! I would be willing to bet 90+% of all home invasions and Burglaries are drug related. You can look at the pictures in the Hermitage Home invasion and tell they were dope heads..............jmho     I don't move into any room in my home that i can't lay my hands on a gun. and when I go out in my own yard I am packing. You can get robbed while your cutting your lawn this day in time............jmho
  15. I think  the DOJ and AG have all but proven they don't plan on giving up trying to get the guns under their control and not ours. They just have not got anyone smart enough to figure out how to get passed that one little simple 2nd Amendment. Our Forefathers were smart enough to see what possibly may happen in the future and gave the people a way to protect themselves. Many of our so- called elected have said that the  people that wrote the Constitution where not scholars and were not thinking right about this Country's Future when they wrote it.     in all reality that is exactly what the Forefathers were thinking. I am guessing that many of our forefathers have been rolling over in their graves at what our great country has become because of politicians and the people who vote these people into office...........jmho
  16. A husband went to the sheriff’s department to report that his wife was missing. Husband: My wife is missing. She went shopping yesterday and has not come home. Sergeant: What is her height? Husband: Gee, I’m not sure. A little over five-feet tall. Sergeant: Weight? Husband: Don’t know. Not slim, not really fat. Sergeant: Color of eyes? Husband: Never noticed. Sergeant: Color of hair? Husband: Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown. Sergeant: What was she wearing? Husband: Could have been a skirt or shorts. I don’t remember exactly. Sergeant: What kind of car did she go in? Husband: She went in my truck. Sergeant: What kind of truck was it? Husband: Brand new 2015 Ford F150 King Ranch 4X4 with eco-boost 5.0L V8 engine special ordered with manual transmission. It has a custom matching white cover for the bed. Custom leather seats and “Bubba” floor mats. Trailering package with gold hitch. DVD with navigation, 21-channel CB radio, six cup holders, and four power outlets. Added special alloy wheels and off-road Michelins. Wife put a small scratch on the drivers door. At this point the husband started choking up. Sergeant: Don’t worry buddy. We’ll find your truck.
  17. If I was 30 I might look at Lifetime but at my age and my health I will stick with yearly........................jmho
  18. This thread has been around a couple months now and I still have a hot tube in all my guns scattered through out my house out of sight and they will remain hot just like the one I carry every day...............
  19. Glad you got one at a good price my friend........................
  20. Well I admit the Police were there pretty quick but then most folks are not aware of the fact that almost every school does have a police officer or two parked near the school in marked and unmarked cars when school is receiving students or releasing students so most likely they were right around the corner to show up so quick.
  21. Back years ago I lived in Antioch long before it became gangland and I made many trips to La-Vergne and It was a nice quiet town. Even considered moving there once. Don't want to offend anyone living in Antioch or La-Vergne today but from folks I know that have just moved from both areas and they have made the statements to the fact that La Vergne is nothing more than South Antioch these days and no of them would ever move back to either. That is just what I have been told. Don't know it to be fact.........jmho
  22. I think it is wrong for any coach to not let his players play to the best of their abilities against opposing teams regardless of the score. In the end it will be a bad lesson to teach young people. The lesson that the other team should have learned is try as hard as you can and win or lose by 1 point or 150 points, you put forth your best effort regardless and be proud of that fact.......................jmho
  23. That Policing for Profit scam has been exposed by News channel 5 Investigates a couple times and broadcasted it several times. Where the people that get pulled over make their mistake is when they tell the officers it is ok to search their vehicle. My son lives in Kingston Springs and works there also. He was test driving a Black Pickup truck with Texas tags on it that he had repaired and and was test driving it when they stopped him. They got in his face really quick about it not being his vehicle and he showed them his ASE certification showing he was a mechanic and showed them the repair bill laying on the seat. They asked him if they could search the vehicle. He said 'No, not without a warrant and the owner of the vehicle present. The two LEO's walked away and came back a couple minutes later, gave him his license and other stuff back and sent him on his way. They stopped him one other time in his own vehicle and he told them the same thing. Get a warrant or turn me loose and they turned him loose again. They really don't want to mess with local folks. Just out of state people that won't tell them to pound sand and get a warrant............jmho
  24. IMHO A lot of actors have been forced into semi retirement or full retirement if they say anything against What the left preaches. Many Pro-gun actors and actresses have been forced to retire or cannot get work in Tinsel Town because they made their feelings known and stand up for the 2nd Amendment and America. I have the utmost respect for those people for standing up for what is right. I hope is Neeson gets another shootum up job he has to use his own personal guns which we all know he owns some.............jmho
  25. I hope it wins every award it can and I sincerely hope that Mrs. Kyle is given some of the royalties this movie is going to earn because GOD knows she has earned them.............jmho
