I have had that same Sinus condition with pure water dripping and sneezing once in a while and going through 4 or 5 boxes of Kleenix a month from blowing my nose but don't have the chills or fever and except for the annoying sinuses I feel fine. I have been going through this for about a year.

I don't know if these idiots that is destroying mail boxes but just so people know, It is a federal offense to damage a mail box. Back when I was in high school a couple guys got caught damaging some boxes by an off duty State trooper and he arrested them and the judge made their parents pay to have every one of the boxes replaced.

I keep Christ in Christmas as a gift to me. The rest of the family do what they choose and leave me out. I do get a nice meal sent back to me from the front house where the rest of the family gathers and that is my Christmas. I did buy a few gifts for Rosie and she will enjoy the treats.

Touching on subject I mentioned earlier on and that is body armor. I don't know how any folks here remember that movie theater that guy shot up during the Batman movie but he entered through a back entrance and started shooting people and he was in a full suit of body armor from head to toe. There are 3 theaters in that town and 2 of them are not gun free zones and the one the shooter was the only gun free zone of the 3. After he was finished he went out the back door and stood by his car and waited for the police to arrive. When they found him he was surrendering and had his hands in the air and was still dressed in the body armor. He was so scare that the police would shoot him that he made the police remove the armor and handcuff him. Now with that said, I often wonder how he would have reacted if he would have been getting pounded by incoming hot lead when there was not suppose to be any because he was careful to pick the theater that was gun free. I wonder what he would have done if there was a couple sheepdogs in the theater that had went against the gun free signs and were packing heat and began sending hot lead at the coward standing on the stage? I am betting a lot less people would have been killed and wounded.....JMHO!!

Your experience has me wondering how well firearms are going to travel safely in all these electric vehicles the feds are pushing on people? -
Patient Brings Concealed Gun Into MRI, Gets Shot In the Buttocks
bersaguy replied to Luckyforward's topic in General Chat
I don't know if anyone here has spent time in an MRI room with that machine running but I have and it almost killed me but it was my fault. My son had to have an MRI performed and he would not lay still inside that tube so they could do the test and the doctor asked me if I would be willing to go in there and sit with him ad try and keep him calm and lay still and I said I would with out thinking cause it was my son that needed me so I went through the metal questions and went into the room with a plastic stool to sit next the Doug jr. and talk to him and calm him down. They said the test would be 15 minutes as it was ust on his head. About 2 minutes into the test I realized there was a problem with me being in that room but I was going to get my son that test regardless. After the test the doctor came in and he looked at me and knew there was something wrong and he and a nurse got me out of the room. He asked me if I have any metal inside my body and that was when I remembered the 5 small pieces of shrapnel I had in my head from a Mortar back in 1969. The doctors at the military unit said that they were not equip to remove them but by their locations the wounds should heal quick and they should not bother me and until that day I had forgot I had them. The doctor told me that they could have killed me that day while I sat with me son if they had to do a full body scan. The doctor gave me a necklace with a medical code that reads Warning NO MRI on it and I have warn it since that day. He did do a CT scan to see the locations of the metal to see about removing them and after he saw the results of the scan he said it might be better to leave them alone so I still have them. The doctor said that due to the location of 2 of them is why the military doctor chose to leave them alone. -
I was watching Channel5 weather on Friday and the weather man said we had a cold front coming on the weekend that would be dropping temps by 20+ but he followed that up with that they are not expecting any severe weather with it. Rain and maybe some strong winds was what we can expect. He said that 5 or 6 times and I made sure my safe room was ready on Friday night cause his saying several times NO SEVERE WEATHER would be with the front! I knew he was wrong cause serious fronts in December bring tornados!!!
-
A great loss at such a young age. RIP Mr. Wycheck !!!

Prayers for all that have been effected by the storms all across Tennessee. I watched the weather while they tracked the storms and Channel 5 had all their weather people working on weather screens trying to keep up with it. I watched the weather Friday night and the weather man talked about that front that was going too drop the temps over the weekend and he said several times that they were not fore casting anything severe at all with this front! I have always been concerned with Fronts in December as way to many times they have produced what we had Saturday and I was kind of looking for something more than wind and temps.

Here is another few of Darby I didn't know I had on this computer. As you can see Darby and Kasey look like they should be sisters but they are not. You can tell the difference in weight is about the only way I can tell them apart in pictures.

Here are a few pictures I didn't know I had on this computer. The one is of Kasey in the Jeep and ready to go for a ride. The other one is of Buttons. He was my wife's dog and I adopted him when my wife passed away. He was a Chinese Cryst and the only hair on him was on his head and I had him for about 10 years after Margie passed away and he passed away from heart failure at age 15. I had him cremated and buried his ashes with Margie.

I just went and read about the Sutherland Springs Church of Christ in Texas. That was a very terrible day for sure. The shooter picked the day that the Pastor which normally is there and armed was not there. I'm sure the pastor would have been out gunned but maybe just the fact that the shooter was receiving incoming hot lead may have discouraged him. No one will ever know but I think anyone that is going to be in body armor to go shoot up a Church is afraid of being shot to begin with so incoming hot lead may have made a difference.....JMHO!
-
I don't go anyplace out side my house that I am not armed. Back before I moved out here to the sticks and lived in Gallatin. I had neighbors that got robbed at gunpoint or knife point while grilling their family supper and another while cutting his lawn. These things took place in broad daylight. I went to my mail box once and had a car with 3 people in it come to an almost stop and I lifted my shirt to reach for my gun and the car sped off. This was about 1 PM in the day. If I go shopping and pick out a store to shop in, if they have a gun buster sign up I shop elsewhere. If they don't want my gun I don't want to give them my money. Now as for Church I use to attend a church 1 block from my house and many times I would walk on nice days with my gun concealed. That Church is now 44 miles away so I don't attend Church any longer. I did hear on the news the other night that all religious places of Worship need to be on high alert right now as they are targets with what is going on in Israel and the Christmas holidays. The said places of all faiths are targets but Jewish and Muslim are on highest alert.

I can't write anything except he was the reason we were there so long instead of trying to get us out sooner and was the reason for the mess in Saigon when we were trying to get out. -
Yea I'm trying to give Rosie a good life since the only thing she was used for was breeding and when she was no longer good for that they were going to put her down so I'm spoiling her as much as I can. I found out last year that she has a heart condition and has to take medication twice a day and the Vet has put her on a diet and I have to buy special food for her that costs $50.00 for 12 cans which is about $100.00 a month and her meds are $62.00 a month but I will spend what ever it costs as long as she is happy. She also loves all the attention I can give her and she soaks it up like a sponge. I found out that the breeder does not show her dogs any affection at all because they are not pets according to her. I noticed when I first got her that she would cower down when I would try and pet her like she was abused and it took me about 2 months to get her out of that so now when I pet her it seems to never be enough now...lol.

I had at least one dog in my life since age 6 and most of them were or are rescue dogs. The last 2 where some type of terriers which 1 of them I had for 18 years and she was rescued by me from a big wild yellow Tomcat that had stole her from a litter somewhere and was going to make a meal of it until a 22lr ended that. Animal control had been trying to trap it without success so when I had the chance I took it and I thought it had a rat but it turned out to be a newborn puppy that I ended up bottle feeding and buying doggie milk at 10 bucks a can which the Vet set me up with all the stuff I needed. I had animal control come out and collect the dead cat and all their cage traps they had set around my house. The guy thanked me for killing the cat as he was getting complaints from everyone in the neighborhood about it. I named her Kasey and I had her for 18 years and lost her to heart failure. It was like losing a Child and I still have her on top of my TV console. I had her cremated and placed in an urn. About 3 months a friend of mine brought a dog to me that could have been Kasey's sister in appearance and he had to find a home for her because he was moving and the new place didn't allow pets. Her name was Darby and I took her in. I only had her about 3 years and lost her to kidney Failure and I have her on my TV console also. Now for present time I have a best friend name Rosie and my daughter was doing Home Health Care and one of her patients was a breeder of Basset Hounds and she had a 5 year old that she could no longer breed and was going to have her put down and my daughter sent me a picture of her and I told her to get her so she told the woman that her father was Rosie so they made arrangements to get her to me. I still have her and she is now almost 8 years old and spoiled rotten.

I live alone with my hound and keep my doors locked. My son in law and daughter asked me why do I lock my door when their house is only 50 feet in front of my house and I said yea and you both work and I am home alone most of the day. If the bad guys come to my house I will call 911 and if the bad guy leave fine and if they don't 911 better send an ambulance with the police. The front house was burglarized before I moved here and now they have motion cameras in their house that alerts them on their phones if one is tripped.

If the bad guy shows up at my door I will call 911 and the bad guys can either leave or 911 better send a ambulance with the police.

school shooting in Nashville at the Covenant School
bersaguy replied to FUJIMO's topic in General Chat
I can remembering 1 time about a shooting back years ago that a woman spoke up a day or 2 after a shooting done by a husband and wife team that shot up a bunch of folks at a office Christmas party and later that day got in a shootout with Police and Feds and both got killed. The woman said she thought something was going on next store as people where coming and going all night the night before but she said she didn't want to get involved. Her not getting involved cost 11 people their lives. If she would have just made 1 call those people would have lived. I still say, "If you see something say something!" and let the police sort it out!......JMHO -
Active shooter situation in Maine at this Time!!!
bersaguy replied to The Legion's topic in General Chat
The Bowling Ally was having kids night and that was one of his targets he hit. The authorities have not mentioned any children shot or dead so he must have targeted adults!!!! I'm sure with this guys background I bet the Police are hoping he has gone off in the woods and popped a cap in his head rather than get in a shootout with him.........JMHO -
