  1. facts are, yes they are ugly, yes they weigh a ton and yes and most important is they seem to be dependable when you squeeze the trigger and from what I have read they will eat about any ammo from the cheapest to the most expensive so they do have 1 good point in their favor. They fire with a very good dependability.................

  9. I grew up in far west Chicago for the first 6 years of my life. It was a dangerous town to live in back in the 50's and 60's  during my time there also. There was killings every night and late at night while laying in my bed I could hear gun shots. Mayor Richard Daley ran the city with an Iron fist yet the killings still continued. The only real difference I see in Chicago is the news media's. Back when I was a kid and listened to the news on TV they would discuss all the news. Not pick and choose what to discuss. All of the news medias today are controlled by politics. They pick and choose what to discuss and share. Guns are at the forefront because of all the new gun laws going on across the country.   When I lived up there my parents move me to the country almost out of Cook county and we were far enough west that I spent most of my life with friends that lived on farms. I began hunting small game by age 8 and we lived in a town named Lemont. It was so far west that two miles down the road I lived on was the Will County Line.   During those times gun laws were very relaxed in Illinois. By age 10 I was able to walk into our small town gun store and purchase a single action 6 22cal Colt pistol with a 4.5 inch barrel and western style holster package and my buddy bought a Ruger Single action 22 cal 6 shot with a 6.5 inch barrel and a western style holster.  We bought these guns without any ID's but the gun store owner new both of us well. We had bought Shotguns from him for small game hunting and all of our ammo from him.   My buddy that still lives up there but has moved out of Cook County and lives more in mid state now still enjoys his trap and skeet shoots and his small game and now also big game hunting. He and his two sons now also have CC permits but they never go to Chicago.   My point is Illinois was not always a suck a$$ state to live in. If you got out of the city of Chicago it was a great state to hunt and fish in...................JM.......... :2cents:

  13. Paddy  and Mick are two Irishmen working at the local  sawmill.  One  day, Mick slips and his arm gets caught and severed by the big bench saw.  Paddy quickly puts the limb in a plastic bag and rushes it and Mick to the  local hospital. Next  day, Paddy goes to the hospital and asks after Mick.  The nurse says,  "Oh he's out in Rehab exercising." Paddy  couldn't believe it, but there's Mick out the back exercising his now re-attached arm.   The very next day he's back at work in the saw  mill. A  couple of days go by, and then Mick slips and severs his leg on another  bloody big saw.  So  Paddy puts the limb in a plastic bag and rushes it and Mick off to Hospital. Next  day he calls in to see him and asks the nurse how he is.  The nurse  replies, "He's out in the Rehab again exercising." And  sure enough, there's Mick out there doing some serious work on the  treadmill. And very soon Mick comes back to work.   But,  as usual, within a couple of days he has another accident and severs his  head. Wearily  Paddy puts the head in a plastic bag and transports it and Mick to hospital. Next  day he goes in and asks the nurse how Mick is.  The nurse breaks down and cries and says, "He's dead." Paddy  is shocked, but not surprised. "I suppose the saw finally did him  in." "No," says the nurse, "Some idiot put his head in a plastic bag and he suffocated."

  14. Three  desperately ill men met with their doctor one  day to discuss their  options.   One was an Alcoholic, one  was a Chain-Smoker, and one was a Homosexual.   The  doctor, addressing all three of them, said, "If  any of you indulge  in your vices one more time, you will surely  die."   The men left the doctor's office;  each convinced that he would never  again indulge himself in his vice.   While  walking toward the subway for their return trip  to the suburbs,  they passed a  bar.   The  Alcoholic, hearing the loud music and smelling the ale, could not stop  himself. His buddies accompanied him into the bar, where he had a shot of  whiskey. No sooner had he replaced the shot glass on the bar, he fell off  his stool, stone cold dead.   His companions, somewhat shaken, left  the bar, realizing how seriously they must take the  doctor's words. As they  walked along, they came upon a cigarette butt lying on the ground, still  burning.   The Homosexual looked at the Chain-Smoker and said, "You  know if you bend over to pick that up, we're both dead."
  15. I have been a Kroger shopper for about 20+ years and have only had one issue with them and it was taken care of with one trip to my regular store. I use to fish a lot and I own a Skeeter bass boat which can hold 40 gallons of fuel when empty. I use to get my grocery points for gas and one month I had 30 cents off a gallon so drove out to the big new store with my boat and jeep. I filled up the Jeep and then pulled the boat up to fill it up.  When it hit 35 gallons on the pump it shut off. I went up to the fuel window and told the guy that the pump shut off. He said there is a 35 gallon limit on discount points. I dug out my receipt and read the entire thing and no where on the receipt did it state there was any limits. Well, I was about half done with the boat so I had him turn the pump back on and I used the 3 cents off to finish filling up the boat.   The total gallons bought was 54.3. I took the boat home and put it up and went up to my local Kroger store and had a talk with the manager. I showed him the receipt showing I had 346 fuel points and explained to him what happened when I tried to fill my Jeep and boat. Then I asked him to point out to me where it read that there was a 35 gallon limit. He could not find one.   He took me up to the courtesy counter and told the girl behind the counter to issue me a Kroger gift card for $50.00 on manager approval. She did and I was happy. Next time I went shopping at Krogers and got my receipt and looked at Fuel points the receipt stated there is a 35 gallon limit on fuel point purchase. He contacted Corporate and it was updated almost immediately. I Got refunded my money so I was happy and still shop at Krogers today and have 143 fuel points to date......................
  16. Well, I have read most all the posts here and the links I could open up. I have been feeding Kasey Pedigree since her vet recommends it as a part of her diet along with Crockpot chicken breasts. She also feeds it to her own dogs and has been for years. As far as Kasey's jerky snacks, she gets Jack's Links Turkey Or Beef Jerky treats several times a day and has been for almost 10 years now with not adverse effects at all and she goes in for vet check ups twice a year. Her vet said except for the fact that she is a little over weight she is very very healthy to be 15+ years old and seems very happy. I don't plan on changing anything and will continue to show her love and when she does make the trip to Doggie Heaven she will not go there without all the love I can show her while shes here..............
  17. I know this is probably a stupid idea but maybe the pressure needs to be put on the Iron Tennessee Dictator. Begin making our feelings know that if he has his eye on replacing Alexander in the U.S. Senate he might need the vote of Tennessee Gun owners to get it so he may want to become a little more Gun Friendly while he is our little Dictator...................jmho
  18. That was a great gesture for sure and you can bet he appreciated it............................ :usa: :usa: :usa:
  19. Ok, just talked with my son and found out that his lawyer was able to get his charge changed from DUI to reckless driving. I didn't know that until just now and don't want to mislead you so wanted to post this right away. Sorry for my first post as I didn't know all the facts on his case............. :ugh: :ugh:
  20. They can't blame the plane because the co-pilot left notes and letters admitting to taking blame for it. They are now wanting in cockpit cameras to show all of the actions? Like the cameras are going to prevent an incident like what happened to the last downed plane. It might be that policies need to be changed in what takes place during flight by the pilot and co-pilot. In most cases after an airliner reaches flight altitude the pilots all have a tendency to leave the cockpit and walk the isle introducing himself and maybe a rest room stop. Maybe that policy needs to end for a start to passenger safety. If they want to continue that policy add a 3rd pilot to each flight and the pilot can be relieved by the backup pilot and also the co-pilot when need be and that way there is always two pilots flying the plane........................................JMHO  Oh yea, this is just another reason when I got my feet back on American soil back in 1974 I promised I would never fly again and I haven't..................
  21. I think you killed the bad guy many many times.............................   Great range trip for sure :usa:

  25. I think all the parents with any respect for our military should stand up and demand that the principal be removed from his position at the school for sure. Form a legal non violent protest out in front of the school until the man is gone. That young man is to be admired for his love of his step brother and his love of country.............jmho
