  1. I went to St Louis back in 1989 to attend the Hunter Wheel alignment school to get certified in Wheel Alignment for Brentwood Shell where I worked. They were paying for it so I went and also went packing heat and Slept with it in the motel and also took it to Hunter School concealed of course. It would be like going to Memphis unarmed. Nothing against Memphis but just a town I know little about and might wind up in area I don't want to be in............................
  2. All things like this do is give the anti gun people more ammunition to use in their plight to banned guns period. If the Zoo is legally posted this guy is an idiot for calling them and asking them to change a policy that has been in effect for a long time probably. Just another idiot trouble maker and against most of what good legal law biding gun owners try NOT to do...............jmho
  3. If I could like this 1000  times I would. That is some of the truest statements I have read in years. And Yes even though I am in my living room by myself, when I am getting ready to watch any sporting event that has the Pledge of Allegiance or Star Spangled Banner I stand and Salute until it is finished since I am a veteran and still love and respect my country with all my heart........ :usa:
  4. Well how is that any different  than what we have here. If a bad guy wants to get a gun he will damn well get it if he has to steal it. If a bad guy wants to buy one he will and nothing will stop that even in Connecticut.................jmho
  5. Clean Up in Isle 3 after cat fight!!!!!!!!!     Who wants to bet the lady driving the granny cart has a disabled person placard hanging from her mirror in the parking lot?   Like mother like son in that one................. :stunned:
  6. I was kind of wondering how he lasted 6 posts but don't have to worry about that any more..........
  7. Your gonna love this. About 10 years ago my brother bought a house in Essex Illinois with about 35 acres of land when he retired and sold his business. After the sale had all been finalized and everything signed was when the realtor broke the news to him. He could look off his front porch at any one of his neighbors homes but if he had a land line phone it would be long distance to call any of them. It would be long distance if he called anyone. The house sat right directly in the middle of the phone company Illinois Bell's dividing lines. The house is in the country but he tried to get cell phone service and all of the cell phone companies told him that his house was not in any of their coverage area. He asked one of them which happened to be Verizon but was another name back then up there what it would take for him to get coverage and they said a tower closer to his home. He asked them what that would take and they said land and a lease and access to the land. My brother leased them 5 acres of ground for the tower, allowed them to build a single lane nice gravel road through his property to get to their tower for maintenance  The tower is on the far back section of his land hid for the most part by tree except for about upper 40 feet. He and his wife now have cell phone service for life with all the bells and whistles at N/C and they pays him $1,000.00 a month to lease the 5 acre tract the tower sits on. All his life he has been the black sheep of the family and can fall in a bucket of Crap and come out smelling like sweet perfume every time.

  9. I have been with Cricket for 18 years and have never had any major issues and they got bought a while back and my coverage went everywhere A.T&T covers. They just sent me a notice that they want me to come in and get a new totally free updated phone to replace the one I am using know. I have been paying $25.00 a month. It maybe be an option to look at if you live in middle Tennessee. You can look up their coverage area on their site. I am also using Cricket Broad Band right now while i am on line right now..........just an idea to look at.
  10. Maybe so But our friend Carl was about 40 when we had to drag him off that guy the put that fake one on his shoulder. We all knew he was deathly afraid of them and this guy also knew it but was not a friend and he did it as a joke but it was not to funny when he was gasping for air after we finally go Carl off of him. I have known several people both woman and men that have hurt themselves trying to get away from totally harmless snakes. The only snake that bothered me in my life is the what the natives called the 2 Step located in Vietnam. If you got bit by one you were lucky if you made it 2 steps before you were dead. The Black Mambo didn't bother me but the 2 Steps did..............jmho
  11. Probably but this answer could also pertain to someone like EssOnes reply as it being a Hoversnake..........  If someone is deathly afraid of a snake it is not harmless. It will very possibly cause harm to the person trying to put as much distance as possible between the snake and themselves. I had a good friend that would kill you if you threw a toy rubber snake on him. He was deathly afraid of them. It took 4 of us to pull him off a guy that threw a toy rubber snake on his shoulder. He had the guy by the throat and on the ground and I didn't think we were going to get him off before he killed the guy. We did but just barely.........
  12. I have been using a product call Fluid Film for about 25 years and have never had an issue with it. I have used it to lubricate all of my high end Bait caster Shimano Fishing Reels for 20+ years and used it on all of my firearms before then and it has always performed perfectly. I buy mine at Tractor Supply but have seen it in Lowes also.........................jmho
  13. Your lucky. I get a gross image in my head every time her name is mentioned. I would be willing to bet a dollar Bill and Hillary have not slept in the same bed or room since the Monica episode......................jmho
  14. In all honesty I think banks appreciate having legally arms citizens packing heat in their locations.  Notice you don't hear of near as many bank robberies as you did say 10 years ago? Banks still have money in them and seldom an armed guard. The bad guys just don't know when there may be 1 or two well armed good guys in the bank and they can't watch everyone unless they come in as a gang..................jmho
  15.   Hillary Clinton goes to her doctor for a physical, only to find out that she's pregnant. She is furious! Here she is about to run for President and this has happened to her. She calls Bill on the phone and immediately starts screaming: "How could you have let this happen? With all that's going on right now, you go and get me pregnant! How could you???!!!   I can't believe this! I just found out I am five weeks pregnant and it’s all your fault!!! YOUR FAULT!!! Well, what have you got to say???"          There is nothing but dead silence on the end of the phone.          She screams again, "DID YOU HEAR ME???!!!" Finally, she hears Bill's very, very quiet voice. In a barely audible whisper, he says, "Who is this?"
  16. I think there is a few more than a million K. I'm guessing close to 200 million +............jmho
  17. I'm sorry to hear about this as the owners of that store are a great bunch of folks. I don't believe they will recover any more of the guns till they are found at crime scenes. Hope that is not the case but that is normally when stolen guns are found. These guys may be the same guys that hit In Range gun shop about a year ago just up the road about 10 miles form Sumner Gun and supply. They were also in and out in a matter of minutes in that case also.....................
  18. I love Mutts period. Kasey is a Mutt and all my friends comment on the fact that she is much smarter than her master and I just laugh and say "yep, she has me well trained...............  I had some friends looking to get a dog and I begged them to get a shelter dog but they said they didn't want a Mutt. I said you might be sorry for getting anything pure bred. They did not listen and paid $1,700.00 for an AKC English Bull Dog. They cannot control it and it tears up furniture and they have spent more money on Vet bills than they paid for the dog in last three years as the dog always has health issues. The husband has said several times he wished he would have listened to me. They just learned recently the dog may have to be put down as it has began developing tumors that may be cancer. That is in most cases when you buy anything from Puppy mills. The blood lines are stretched entirely to far making most pure breds sick when you buy them..............jmho
  19. I had a pair of Bobcats back in the 60's when I lived on the ranch/farm. Got them as babies from a den overlooking Harpeth River. Mother kept raiding the chicken coops so a friend and I decided to kill it. He trapped it and killed it and then noticed she was a nursing female. He decided to go down the bluff ledge to see if he could get in the den. I had him on a jeep cable and winch to lower him down. He brought back to balls of fur stuck inside his shirt Barely had their eyes open. I bottle fed them and raised them and they were just like big house cats and them and the dogs got along just fine. When I got ready to leave the ranch my mother told me the cats had to go so I took them to a friend of mine who's father owned a huge ranch and a huge house and the man took them immediately and was thrilled to get them. They lived in his house also and had the run of the ranch. Never knew what ever happened to them as life never got me down that way again for many years. Named them Mutt and Jeff. This post just reminded me of them. Mine looked a lot healthier than that one did though.
  20. I think they were the most outstanding generation this country will ever know or ever see again. I have all the respect in the world for our troops serving now and those that have served since 911. They have done and outstanding job but nothing will ever compare to the generation that served in WWII.................jmho
  21. The Cabin I live in is all concrete Block and yea the door frame is metal and attached to the Blocks and the dead bolts go into the blocks through the door frame. This house is built quite well. All the windows except 2 are slide type and to small for an average man to fit through. The other two have been painted shut for many years and have to break them to get in or out. I locked my self out about 3 months ago and had to call a buddy to bring my spare keys to let me in my own house. I have 1 friend I trust with my life and my house so he has back up keys to everything I have locks on. He is also the executive to my Will so he has safe combination where all my papers are kept also. I trust him more than family...................
  22. I can promise this. They would have spent a lot more time just trying to kick my door in and one or two may break a bone of two on my door which in turn would give me plenty of time to prepare for their entry had they even been successful at kicking my door in to start with. I have an all metal door with knob lock and three deadbolts at 3 different levels of the door and they are the extra long tie bolts that go in the door jam. All I can tell anyone trying to kick my door in is good luck. My night stand gun is my Model 85 Bersa with 1 in the tube and 14 more in magazine. ......................
  23. The old man placed an order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink.                   He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half, placing one half in front of his wife.                   He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.         He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them were looking over and whispering.         Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.'         As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table and politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said, they were just fine - they were used to sharing everything.         People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She         sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink..         Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.'         Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked 'What is it you are waiting for?'                   She answered               (Continue below - This is great)    'THE TEETH.'
  24. Shouldn't be any scars with stints. I have Stints in my heart and they used stints last winter to fix my Aneurism and no scars........
  25. I have no idea where Collieville is and wish you were closer to Nashville area. I know several shops I could get all the work done and save you some funds. I was a master ASE Certified mechanic in this area for 35+ years and I know all the shops you can trust and the ones you can't trust around here................. :ugh:
