  1. I think as more and more young black kids have grown up in these past 8 years they are seeing more and more that our great country has been dragged backwards more and more by the Obama administration.   They are not liking what they see. More and more they are speaking out not about race but about equality that they had that has been taken from them. I am glad to see this and I hope more of them step up................jmho
  2. It is stored in gun safe in a climate controlled area and my friends was stored very much same way. I bought the ammo while it was on sale about at Ammo To Go about 6 years ago. I keep all my ammo in the same safe and to date have not had any issues with my Blazer or PMC ammo and even have some old Russian ammo that goes bang every time I pull the trigger but when I shoot it my guns all require cleaning soon as I walk in the door because it is a very dirty ammo. So I don't have any answers except I just don't feel safe depending on it for self defense any longer.
  3. As I have said before and will say again. You can't fix STUPID!!!!!
  4. The kids filed into class Monday morning. They were all very excited.  Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on salesmanship .     Little Sally led off.  "I  sold Girl Scout cookies and I made $30" she said proudly.  "My  sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."     "Very good", said the teacher.     Little Debbie was next.  "I sold magazines" she said.  "I  made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events."     "Very good, Debbie", said the teacher.     Eventually, it was Little Johnny 's turn.  The teacher held her breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk.  "$2,467", he said.     "$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?"     "Toothbrushes", said Little   Johnny .     "Toothbrushes", echoed the teacher.  "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"     "I found the busiest corner in town", said Little Johnny .  "I set up a Dip Chip stand and I gave everybody who walked by a free sample."  They all said the same thing; "Hey, this tastes like dog poop !"  I would say, "It is dog poop . Wanna buy a toothbrush?"  I used the President Obama method of giving you some crap, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it's free and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth."     Little Johnny got five stars for his assignment.     Bless his little heart.
  5. Did not know where to post this and if it needs to be moved please do so!!!!!         http://therighttobear.com/12-year-old-black-kid-puts-obama-on-blast-for-charleston-remarks/

  8. Happy 4th of July to all and especially to all of our veterans and active military and thank all of you folks for our freedoms........ :usa: :usa:
  9. I have been meaning to make a post about Fiocchi ammo. I purchased 1000 rounds of it back several years ago because folks told me it was great ammo. A buddy of mine got 200 rounds off me. We went to the range about two weeks ago to burn some powder so I took 200 round of Fiocchi 380 FMJ and he brought a 100 to shoot in his 380's. In the first 15 round mag I had two Fail to fire. Check the round and the primer was struck hard and it they just failed to go bang. Of the 200 round from 3 different 380's, Mod 85 Bersa, Bersa Thunder and my Llama I had a total of 33 FTF rounds and the primers were hit hard each time. Out of the 100 B.T fired from his 2 380's he had 9 FTF's When I cam home I disassembled all my guns and cleaned them and reloaded all of them with PMC FMJ. The Fiocchi rounds that did fire did fire well and had a little more punch than other brands I have shot but with that many FTF's I will not be depending on them for protection. 1 FTF at the wrong time can be catastrophic . I will use what I have left for range time but not self defense.......................jmho
  10. I find this poll very interesting in one way. They do a poll wanting to know how many Americans would want to leave the United States for another country and get get a 35% number which proves nothing. If any one did a poll on how many people would like to move to the United States from where they now live the poll numbers would probably explode the calculator trying to find a number that high. People risk their lives every day to get into this country, Wonder why that is if this country is so damn bad????????...........JMHO!
  11. An Irishman, a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a building. They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, 'Corned beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I'm going to jump off this building.' The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed,'Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time I'm going to jump off, too.' The blonde guy opened his lunch and said, ' Bologna again! If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I'm jumping too.' The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death. The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too. The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death as well. At the funeral, the Irishman's wife was weeping. She said, 'If I'd known how really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given it to him again!' The Mexican's wife also wept and said, 'I could have given him tacos or enchiladas! I didn't realize he hated burritos so much.' (Oh this is GOOD!!)?   Everyone turned and stared at the blonde guy's wife. The blonde guy's wife said, 'Don't look at me. He makes his own lunch ..'
  12. I also didn't see where any particular caliber weapons were used. I wonder what caliber gun the bad guy had verses what the good guy had?.......................Curious minds like to know!!! :squint:
  13. When the Good Lord calls my number he will find me in Tennessee and I will be buried in Tennessee.  nuff said............
  14. Very sorry you are going through this and you can bet Prayers will be coming your way. I have a friend who's mother is going through it and surprising to him he learned from the Assisted Living facility she is in right near his home. He has learned that people who suffer with AD do have one thing that they have found that works at the facility. Jig Saw Puzzles. Many of the patients with AD at the facility actually enjoy working on Jig Saw Puzzles as it keeps their minds working. You might try that with your Dad. If he quits playing his mouth organ get him involved in a puzzle and work it with him. Maybe it will ease some of his frustration. Prayers will come your way and thank you for taking care of your Dad. He may not seem to appreciate now but it will help you later knowing you are there for him now.   God Bless
  15. I love the body cams for sure. That was self explanatory and I don't think there is any doubt what so ever it was a justified shoot. I also think it was a smart move by officers to get him out of the business as calmly as they did. Good job on LEO's parts.....jmho
  16. Ok, I have done this a few times back when I was turning wrenches. I had a two wheel tow dolly so didn't have to rent one from u Haul but either way once you have the dolly pulled up in place to the end of the car FWD or RWD and then jack up the car high enough to back the dolly under the tires. Let it down on the dolly platforms, strap it down. Once you have it on the dolly you can take it anywhere you want to go. A lot easier than trying to figure out a way to disable the transmission and a lot safer. my :2cents:
  17. I don't know how many folks remember when those propane tank cars exploded in Waverly in the mid 70's and a lot of folks were injured and some killed. The police didn't really have a lot of time to react and get folks to safety. I think they may have learned a lot from that horrible situation so now they are acting on the side of caution for the good of the people nearest the site of the derailment. I don't actually know if they can force you to leave your home but thinking of my family if I were in the danger zone I would leave and go to a friends home or motel away from the danger area rather than a shelter and my pets would go with me and not a shelter.........Just my ......... :2cents:
  18. I'm sure your girlfriend knows you carry. I would ask her about her friends and if she has ever heard any of their feeling about firearms. The homeowner may also be a pro gun person themselves. After learning all I could I would then make a decision. I don't drink alcohol  so that would not be an issue on my part..............just my :2cents:
  19. I have no intentions of leaving my home so this is were I live and this is were I will die if the SHTF comes. I have enough food and supplies and probably enough ammo to protect what I have for a while but  l am to run and was never one to run from a fight to begin with. Like Peejman said if the time comes it was an honor knowing ya'll..................
  20. You should be very proud of his accomplishments as he has proven he is his fathers son. you should be proud of your service to your country also. You served proudly also..............................
  21. I saw on news last night that almost the entire western US in on fire. I think about every state west of the Rockies and up in Canada they has wild fires burning.................... :ugh: :ugh:
  22. I do also. I don't think they were local. From what I have heard Cookeville is a pretty cool town so I'm guessing they were just passing through and were probably staying in one of the local motels near by..
  23. Well, yea it was a lot of work and from 1998 when I got the boat new until 2012 I was on the water 5 days a week minimum. either fishing a bass tournament or practicing for one. I had to have a lower unit put on in 1999 under warranty. That was the first time it was in the shop. The 2nd time was back in 2010 for a hard to start when cold issue that S&R fixed in less then 15 minutes at N/C so while they had it I had them do a maintenance service which included the addition of an automatic bulge pump to back up manual pump. They serviced lower unit, did water pump, did complete turn up, fogged carbs for winter storage since it was November, changed all filters and cost me $385.00 for all of that including parts and labor. This was the first major repair on the boat since it was new in 98. I have zero complaints with my Yamaha motor and Skeeter boat. In 2012 I had finally burned myself out and was only spending a couple nights a month smallmouth bass fishing so I turned the boat over to my son in law cause my daughter said I created a monster when I taught him how to bass fish. He is now on the water when ever work will permit it and we still chase Smallies at night J Percy Priest Lake when he can get time off to go...................
  24. I had my home burglarized back in 1988 and had about 19 guns taken and have yet to have any one of them surface. I  find that rather remarkable but who ever took them I believe still has every one of them or some of them would have shown up by now. I feel it was someone that knew my family very well because they knew all of what we were going through at that time and knew we were not home for long periods of time and they were able to find some of my guns that were hidden in false walls. That leads me to think it was a close friend of the family at one time or another................jmho
