A properly cooked rare steak the way I like it at home is a Cast iron Skillet, about an inch of olive oil, bring the skillet heat to the range of smoke just barely beginning to rise off the skillet, add a Nice 2 inch + thick Ribeye to the skillet over medium high heat cook for 3 minutes turn 1 time and cook for 2 minutes and put it on a plate. I watched my Mother cook steaks like that for many years as she was professional cook in some very high class restaurants. She said the biggest secret to a good steak is only turning it once. Any more than that will make it tough. My Mother had 5 sons and no daughters and she taught every one of her sons to cook in case we married a woman that could boil water without burning it...............

They are not allowed to cook hamburgers that way or hamburger Steaks but there is no rules about steaks. They use that as an excuse because they don't know how to actually cook a rare steak...................

You have to many kids cooking today and less adults. I like my steak very rare which I can seldom ever get. When a waitress or waiter asks me how I want my steak cooked my reply is.........Cut off the horns and hoofs, wash it's butt and chase it through the kitchen RARE!!! I have only found one place I can get that done properly and that is Outback Steak Houses. They know how to cook a steak. If it does not Moo when I put a fork in it, it's too well done...................jmho

I got stopped 1 time in my many years of legal carry for a seat belt violation. It took the officer about 2 minutes to actually approach my vehicle. As he stepped up to my window he looked to see I had both hands at the top of the steering wheel. His first question to me is are you armed? My reply was yes. He then moved on to why he stopped me. I asked him if I could open my door and he stepped back and said ok. I then showed him that I did have my seat belt buckled and I then handed him the letter from my doctor that highly recommends that I don't wear the shoulder strap for health reasons. After reading a short part of the letter he handed it back to me. He said, Well, I can't ticket you because by law you are buckled up which is the law. He then told me that I can expect to possibly get stopped in the future for this same issue and I told him I kind of knew that and he just gave a slight grin and gave me my HCP and license back and told me to have a nice rest of the day. That was about 4 years ago and I have not been stopped for it since. I was surprised that he didn't ask where my weapon was but I guess since it was not in my hands he was not to concerned. He learned by running my license plate that I have an HCP. I guess that was why his first question was as it was...............jmho

I agree 100%. Trump is use to getting his way and I think if he does make it to the Oval office he is going to learn what a real reality is and his fit throwing in Congress won't fly or get him his way. He better learn how to play nice if he is to succeed with Congress because there are a lot of Female Senators and Congresswomen he will have to deal with..........jmho

Gosh!!! A lot of great opinions for sure. As I listen to Trump answer that first question it sounded like he is trying to blackmail all of the republican and conservative voters when he said he will not rule out a third party candidate run. I don't think he wold run a third party because he saw what happened when Ross Perot did it and it cost the party the election. I do look for him to run a full run right up to the point of no return and then drop out and throw his support behind a candidate. At least that is what i hope he does and is not really stupid enough to make a 3rd party run knowing he can't win. I'm not a Trump guy but would vote for him if he got the nomination. I would like to see more out of Rubio, Carson and Cruz and maybe a little more from Huckabee which surprised me a little from his previous debates and had a more stern sound to his replies than in the past...........jmho

I worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for two years shortly after retuning home from service. Jobs where scarce and it was about all I could find that would feed and house my family. The first year I was there its was an actual Penitentiary like a Prison should be. Convicts all had work assignments and if they didn't work they didn't eat. They walk a line to and from everywhere they went. They didn't talk in line. The Honor Farm grew all of the food they ate from soup to nuts. They raise stuff and bread was all made in the prison bakery, The milk came from cows on the farm. All vegetables came from that farm. People work in textile mills to make blankets and bed sheets and all that stuff. It was a real Prison. Then a Supreme court ruling was handed down and all of that went away and the convicts where no longer made to work and the taxpayer had to begin picking up the tab for everything from Soup to nuts. The Convicts families could send in fans for the cells and TV sets and it went down hill from there. Not they don't have cell houses any longer but cottages with A/C cable TV and if they work now, they are paid to work. Prison is no longer prison. If a guy needs new teeth that has spent time in prison and is on the street he will pull a simple crime, catch a 1-3 year sentence, go to prison, get new teeth and all his health issues corrected, receive good time for not causing trouble and be out in 6 months. The Cons have learned how to CON the system really well. Most Prisons are now privatized and not controlled by the state and I think the only real prison in Tennessee that is still run by the state is Brushy Mountain but not sure. I think if they took prisons back to the days before the Supreme Court decision you would see far less criminals wanting to go back.................jmho

It will be hard to make a decision on the video itself without seeing the bike tags to actually see if they were obscured as the police stated to know if it was a true clear traffic stop. As far as what the officer did, I think he actually took the gun out of fear because when questioned about why he took the weapon when the officer put his hands together as he began explaining why he took it, that is a sign of being nervous. That tells me that the police officer is somewhat insecure..............jmho

With as many people as he killed and hurt in that theater maybe one of them will have a relative in prison that will get to him and shove a shank in him about 10 times slowly and let him feel some of the pain he caused before killing him saving tax dollars all the way around..................jmho

Well I am about as technologically adept as a monkey trying to blow a bubble with their first piece of bubble gum. If I push a button and it does not come on I call my 10 year old grandson to come and fix it for me. So far he has every bit of my technology up and operational.....................

Gosh the Grapevine is getting about as bad as main stream media about getting the facts right..............

I knew folks might think I did not do enough but the judge added more to his probation and added the year in jail if he messed up again and I think that may have meant more than a piece of paper that almost nobody honors anyway. I just have a hard time kicking someone that is already down..............................
-
Well, it might not but I am willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and I think with what the judge told him about doing a year if he broke probation might help. I think everyone has bad days and good days and he is not laying on his ass doing nothing. He is working hard to take care of his family............jmho
-
Well, had our day in court. He was told by the judge that he is already on probation for another charge so evidently you don't learn to quick. I'm sure you might learn a lesson with 30 days in jail but because the person that you were so stupid as to threaten has requested to not want you to serve any time. He is only doing this because he has learned you have a family and a mortgage and are self employed. For this you can thank him because I was going to give you 30 days in jail. The only thing he requested was that I extend your probation for another two years. The judge added two more years to his probation and told him if he he came back up in front of him he would serve 11-29 in county jail. After court the guy made it a point to find me in the court house and thank me personally because he was really struggling to make ends meet right now and 30 days in jail would have cost him several small jobs he has scheduled that will help him dig out of the hole he is in. I had a friend in Sumner County Sheriffs look into the guys back ground and it was pretty much what I figured. Guy was just going through a few rough times and that was why he did what he did but after speaking with him for a few minutes I don't think he is the kind of guy that would smash anyone's head in. I know some folks here are not going to agree with my actions but it is hard for me to kick someone when they are already down...............jmho

The FDA is suppose to be the ones that approve or disapprove drugs that should be released but they don't cause Big Pharma's have them bought off. It is only after several years of these products being allowed to be prescribed and the real side effects are finally known and lawsuits are being filed by families of patients before anything is done about them and by then Big Pharma's have made millions of dollars on them. That is what I like about my GP doctor. If someone walks into her office and says they would like to try something they saw on TV she will tell the patient they don't need it because they don't have any symptoms that would call for it. She hates the fact that Big Pharma's can what she calls practice medicine with TV commercials. She said that was the worst thing that ever happened when they allowed them to begin advertising on TV.

Great guy, very personable and very willing to discuss and answer questions. Very honest about patient needs. He said he could make me glasses but would be unfair to me and my insurance to do so without first getting the cataract evaluation exam cause I have very thick cataract's on both eyes according to him. He said that after my cataract's are removed I may not even need glasses. As far as I'm concerned he is 1st class all the way. I have recommended him several of my family members that were waiting to get new glasses until after my visit to his office. Thank you very much for referring me to him......................

If you don't mind my asking where did your wife go for her surgery? The only raason I went to Loden was my doctor referred me to them and even had all the paper work for me to fill out to save time at the appointment. I gave them my insurance information already knowing they accept it because I asked my Eye Doctor last week if Loden took Medicare and he said yes so I knew they took it before she ask.
-
So after trip to eye doctor about new glasses last week he wanted me to go to Loden Vision Center for a cataract evaluation exam. I called Yesterday and when the woman answered to the phone she said May I help you and I said my eye doctor said I needed to call you and get an appointment for Cataract exam. The next words out of your mouth was who is your insurance carriers?????? Didn't even ask for my name first. I fired back and said don't you even want to know my name or is the money more important than patient care at Loden???? He tone changed really fast and she began taking down all my information and then finally got around to my insurance carriers. I told her I wanted an afternoon appointment. Now I called the Gallatin Location Of Lodens and she says which office do you want to go to and named of 3 that would require a 30 + minute drive and I asked he if I had called the Gallatin Location and she said yes and I said does my address not say Gallatin Tennessee and she said yes and I said if I live in Gallatin and your office is located in Gallatin why would I want an appointment in downtown Nashville? A long pause on the phone and she said they had appointment for 1:45 of September 2nd and I said I will take it and I thanked her. I sincerely hope that their doctors are much more intelligent than she is............... :stunned:

Nice car for sure and I hope you get great service from it. If I were 10 years younger I might look at a Challenger Scat Pak but to old and don't have the need for speed I once had................. -
Note that these guys have chosen states that have enacted stricter gun laws recently as the states to use to terrorize our military families. I would like to see them try that here in Tennessee. Also they are only scaring the wives and never approach the husbands. Same cowardly ways they always do things...............jmho
