1. I saw it on Yahoo News this morning and Yahoo News did not specify the race of the shooter either. It was easy enough to tell by the camera shots what his race was.............jmho.     RIP Officer Goforth and prayers to your family............. :(
2. Don't know if this has been posted yet or not. Looked and didn't see one so here is a link......     http://news.yahoo.com/sheriffs-deputy-fatally-shot-houston-while-pumping-gas-043751950.html#
3. I bet if that would have been a white person doing the shooting and the news people being Black the race baiters would have connected it right back the that Church shooting. Since it was Black on White most of the main stream news medias are avoiding it like the plague................. :ugh: :ugh:
4. I suffer from same kind of eyesight  and my buddy has quit asking me to go to the range with him but I am hoping all that changes in September. I am going to have a cataract Evaluation and see about having my cataracts removed. My eye doctor says he doesn't think I will even need glasses after the removal of them. I miss going to the range and looking very forward to the surgery now.......
5. I have a former Son In Law that I am still very good friends with that grew up in the Bronx of New York City and he does go back and forth to visit family. He has invited me several times to go with him all expenses paid and I decline each time. Last time he ask and I said as much as I value our friendship I would not even ever consider going to New York for any reason so now he has quite asking and we are still friends and he still lives in Nashville. He has a TN HCP and leaves his gun at home when he goes to visit family.
6. I have not seen that article but this one is also related to the interview with the husband and his thoughts.   TN. Rep Marsha Blackburn   http://www.newsmax.com/Newsmax-Tv/marsha-blackburn-reporter-shot-virginia/2015/08/26/id/672077/?ns_mail_uid=40374662&ns_mail_job=1633561_08272015&s=al&dkt_nbr=mxkdln1j

Bye Bye Bersa

Well, I would not want to be bias but I think my name tells what I think of Bersa's. With that said I have not seen anyone mention the S&W 380 Bodyguard. I have one and love it and have never had a single issue with it. I do have the laser on mine and love that also............just my :2cents:
8. I have zero interest in viewing the video. I have seen people shot before in real life and it's not at all pretty. Anyone that served in military and was on front lines saw it many times like myself and don't think I want to see it again just for entertainment..........jmho

10. My Grandson says it is an option of the teacher as to whether they recite the pledge in the Cheatham County Schools. He attends Grammer school in Kingston Springs. My son is considering home schooling him since my daughter in law is qualified to be a teacher and at one time was offered a position teaching in Cheatham County.
11. I have a friend that is an avid shooter and very good at it. He also lost his Trigger Finger back to first knuckle off main palm as a child and is right handed. He shoots at the range every week and shoots everything from 22's to Tokarev 7.62X25 and several 1911's and he uses middle finger for all of them. He does shoot two handed most of the time but I have seen him shoot with one hand and very accurately.he will order the grips for each firearm that he shoots till he finds to right feel. He has in the past had grips special made for the 762's but he has no problem.   I am sorry for your accident but I am thinking if you are as dedicated to shooting as my friend is you will over come this and be back shooting as good as ever...........
12. yep, I don't know if more flags are being displayed or they are just having a lot more attention paid to them but either way folks are getting the point across for sure...............
13. Yea Bristol use to be a standing room only crowd but I did notice a lot of empty seats both Friday and Saturday Night. I have to hand it to the people of Bristol raceway. The ceremonies that take place just before the race was a very dedicated American Loyalty Program for sure. No other tracks put on that kind of ceremony.........Give the 3..   for that.
14. I lost this this old hairless friend after 14 years and raised him from bottle feeding till day he had to be put down and my friend sent me this story. His name was Buttons Dogs In Heaven? An old man and his dog were walking down this dirt road with fences on both sides, they came to a gate in the fence and looked in, it was nice grassy, woody areas, just what a 'huntin' dog and man would like, but, it had a sign saying 'no trespassing' so they walked on. They came to a beautiful gate with a person in white robes standing there. "Welcome to Heaven" he said. The old man was happy and started in with his dog following him. The gatekeeper stopped him. "Dogs aren't allowed, I'm sorry but he can't come with you. What kind of Heaven won't allow dogs? If he can't come in, then I will stay out with him. He's been my faithful companion all his life, I can't desert him now. Suit yourself, but I have to warn you, the Devil's on this road and he'll try to sweet talk you into his area, he'll promise you anything, but the dog can't go there either. If you won't leave the dog, you'll spend Eternity on this road. So the old man and dog went on. They came to a rundown fence with a gap in it, no gate, just a hole. Another old man was inside. "S'cuse me Sir, my dog and I are getting mighty tired. Mind if we come in and sit in the shade for awhile? Of course, there's some cold water under that tree over there. Make yourselves comfortable. You're sure my dog can come in? The man down the road said dogs weren't allowed anywhere. Would you come in if you had to leave the dog? "No sir, that's why I didn't go to Heaven. He said the dog couldn't come in. We'll be spending Eternity on this road, and a glass of cold water and some shade would be mighty fine right about now. But, I won't come in if my buddy here can't come too, and that's final. The man smiled a big smile and said "Welcome to Heaven. You mean this is Heaven? Dogs ARE allowed? How come that fellow down the road said they weren't? That was the Devil and he gets all the people who are willing to give up a life long companion for a comfortable place to stay. They soon find out their mistake, but then it's too late. The dogs come here, the fickle people stay there. GOD wouldn't allow dogs to be banned from Heaven. After all,
15. Back several years ago I was buying guns on a regular basis since I had developed GAS after giving up my GAS on fishing after 25 years of spending a small fortune on Fishing and Bass Boats. After I thought I had all I wanted in the firearms I began to realize that I was trapped in the same thing I was with fishing. I took a long hard look at my firearms inventory. Decided which ones I would keep and which ones had to go. Since then I have limited myself to the 6 most important firearms I owned and the rest are gone. I have only purchased 1 gun in last year and that was about 1.5 months ago because I wanted a pocket gun and didn't have one. I have what I need and don't even look for anything unless a family member asks me to shop something for them. I think just about anything can become an obsession if one lets it be.....................jmho
16. I was only in France a short time and while in uniform I got that snubbed nose look from many of the French. Glad I was just almost passing through and not spending any time there.  I did meet some of the older class of people and their attitudes were all together different. Very friendly towards us.
17. Gosh that press network is as bad as the American press is. They sure did want to avoid telling the world that the Americans were Marines and kept calling them civilians instead of Marines. Typical French I guess. They hate to admit that had it not been for American Armed Forces, France would belong to Germany and they still don't want to give credit where credit is due........... .
18. There are quite a few new movies being released in the next week or so and all of them have a lot of violence in them. My son in law asked me to go with the to that new Hit Man movie coming out along with Mission Impossible, Man from UNCLE to name a few and i say thanks but no thanks to all of them. I am wondering if some crazy person is planning to make a HIT on one of them since they all scream violence. Would like to hear thoughts from others. Anyone planning on taking the plunge and going to any of them?
19. It would not hurt my feelings if Regal and several others took a dump. The more big screens that go away the less money those brainless liberals in Hollywood make. The less box offices they have the less funds will be made. I'm sick of watching ads about movies starring guys like Tom Cruise other hippo-crates that talk against gun for law abiding Americans yet every movie they make is all about guns and killings and showing them as hero's. They can use them as props to make millions yet talk against them in real life.......... JMHO
20. About cell phones.........LOL. I did take a few hours one day and sat in parking lot of neighborhood Walmart just to watch folks go in and out. It is no wonder why people get robbed and assaulted in parking lots such as Walmarts. About 90% of the folks going in and out had their faces stuck in a cell phone texting or reading and had zero clues what was going on around them. They make great targets out of themselves. I had to go to Opry Mills about a month ago to get something at the Mall. People are like Zombies walking around in the mall with their faces in their cell phones and actually bumping into each other and they would look up like hey watch were your going and then stick their nose back in the phone when it was their fault for bumping into the other person in the first place. What in the hell can be that important that people are so addicted to their Cell phones. My Daughter and Son in law come and visit and they have those hand free systems around their necks so they can answer the phone the second it rings. I told both of them to turn off their cell phones before coming into my house and let their voice mail get the calls or don't stop by. I cannot visit with cell phones ringing all the time. They didn't like it but they did it......................
21. ."Quote" Movie theaters have lost its flair for me.  Can't agree with you more Oma. I went to my last one about 3 years ago with Daughter and Son In law after they almost begged me to get out of the house and go. I went but didn't go unarmed. In fact I actually was double packing which I seldom do. Had my Mod 85 in holster and Llama in another holster. Also sat on isle seat and told kids if anything started get on the floor and I would give them cover fire to get out. They laughed but I was serious........ They have invited me to go several times since then and I have declined. Don't ever plan on going to another one...........jmho
22. Just make sure you get an isle seat so you can get out quick when the shooting starts unless your going as a Sheep Dog and planning on returning fire. Then still use an isle seat for fast exit if your not successful in stopping the shooter..........jmho
23. Can anyone tell me which active shooter in any of the movie theater shootings was a woman? No where in the article did I see where they were searching men for guns yet every shooter has been male. Just goes to show how STUPID smart people think. I have no plans of ever going to another theater when I can watch the movies in the comfort of my living room and save a lot of money doing so..........jmho
24. I don't think his employer requires them to pack revolvers. He has been with them over a year now and packed the M9 the entire time. I just think his friend is kinda on the dumb side of guns because he also works there and packs a revolver while on duty.
25. Oh his buddy also recommended he get a 40 or 41 caliber over the 38. I told him if he was looking for extra punch go with the S&W M586. I have a buddy that has one of those and I have shot it a few times.
